La'Shae

"Trey get away from me" I said moving further away from him on the bed.

"I can't hold you?" He sucked his teeth threw the sheet off him.

"No nigga you can't"

"This how you gon treat your husband?" He asked making me laugh.

"Oh so now your my husband, the husband that's suppose to trust me and not accuse me of being some hoe" I asked.

"The facts were right, you would have reacted the same way"

"No that's where you're wrong, if you would've told me it was false, I would have believed you because I'm suppose to trust you"

"No you don't, I know you followed me yesterday"

"Can you blame me? I've never done that before, until I find out all this shit. You running around testing my damn daughter when you need to see if Elijah is yours"

"I'll let Jayceon know when the time is right" he said looking like he wanted me to drop the conversation but he's should know I ain't doing that.

"The right time? There's never a right time to tell some that you fucked their ex and you might be the father to his son. Oh and let's not forget you two were the best of friends at that time" I said shaking my head.

"Don't you think I feel bad?" He snapped.

"You wait five years to confess about this shit--" I stopped talking when I heard my phone ringing and gave Trey a look. This wasn't the end of our conversation so I hope he doesn't think I'll forget. I picked up my phone and saw that Golden was calling. I answered and frowned when I heard her crying.

"What's wrong boop?" I asked getting off the bed. I left the bedroom and made my way downstairs and into the kitchen.

"I'm...trying to call Ka'ron...to watch the kids but he's not answering" she said sounding short of breath.

"Golden what's wrong? Why do you sound like that?"

"I fell and hit my stomach" she whispered. My heart dropped and my mouth went dry, I didn't know what to say.

"Golden I'm--"

"Don't say anything, please, I called the ambulance so they should be here soon. Can you try to call someone?" She asked. I didn't even care if she called Jayda, I just wanted someone here with the kids.

"Gold I'm going to call Jayda, don't hang up honey" I told her before searching for Jayda's number. I wiped my face and managed to find her number through my tears.

Jayceon

I sat in my car and stared out at the water. I grew frustrated thinking about what I did to Golden. I didn't understand why I did what I did. Golden made me happy but in my mind, one women was never enough. I just had to have more. I banged my head against the staring wheel angrily and then began punching myself in the head.

I stopped and looked down at my phone as it went off. I saw Jayda name flashing across the screen but didn't make a move to answer it. Eventually the ringing stopped and soon a pinging noise sounded indicating a text message.

I look down reading the first message of many that Jayda sent me.

Jayceon please answer your phone.

Something happened to Golden.
She's about to be rushed to the hospital, call me when you get this.

"Stupid" I yelled out. I reached in the glove compartment and pulled out something that would solve a lot of problems, me being the root of most, if not all of them.

I stepped out the car and walked over to the water slowly and closed my eyes. My lifted my arm and tears fell as I pressed the cold metal gun to my temple. My fingers shook as I slowly pressed on the triggers. I had messed up enough people's life, I couldn't allow myself to do it again. I stepped out further into to water feeling it reach my chest.

"Lord forgive me for my sins" I said before pulling the trigger.

Ka'ron

I got in the car after leaving work and took my phone out the glove compartment. I checked and saw I had a lot of missed calls from Golden. I instantly panicked thinking something bad happened to her or the kids. I called back but the phone just rung out. My job wasn't far from her house so I peeled out of the parking lot and sped to her house.

When I pulled up I saw an ambulance in front of her house. I parked and hopped out the car when I saw paramedics pulling Golden out the house on a stretcher.

"Golden!" I shouted running up but they pushed me back.

"I don't know what happened, Shae just told me to rush over and watch the kids. When I came she was on the ground holding her stomach" Jayda said walking out of the house.

"Where's Kaelin?" I asked looking around her.

"The kids are asleep and my brothers not answering his phone" she cried.

"Kaelin might have her dads number, call him"

"Didn't she just meet him"

"In two months he's showed her more love than her mother has in her whole life. Time ain't shit, call her dad"

"Okay" she sniffled.

"Stop crying" I said not wanting to deal with a female crying right now.

"It's just, what if Jay had something to do with this" she whispered looking at the paramedic finishing loading the back. I ran over and asked what hospital they were taking her to so I could follow.

"Don't worry about anything else right now, you need to have a clear head to watch the kids. If they see you crying, they're gonna think something's wrong"

"I'll try" she said wiping her face and taking deep breaths.

"I'm going to the hospital to make sure she's okay. You watch the kids and call Shae and everybody, she's gonna need her family" I said before running back and getting in my car. I watched her go back in the house and close to door before pulling off.

"Please be okay" I whispered to myself before sending a silent prayer up to God.
