"That was Jay?" I asked rolling my eyes.

"Yeah he said he wants to see his kids" she replied.

"He's gonna see his kids and he's only dying to see them now because of what happened"

"Are you gonna tell him about what I told you?" she asked switching the topic back to what we were talking about.

"I don't know, I feel like Trey needs to be the one to tell him that" I confessed.

"So if you see Jay, you won't say anything?" Shae asked looking skeptical.

"Elijah is my son, I raised him and love him like he's my own. Trey possibly being the father isn't going to change that but it's gonna add more fuel to the fire. The last month has been nothing but drama" I complained laying down.

"Do you have to leave so early?" Shae frowned.

"Yes because even though Ka'ron says he got it, I miss Kae"

"You have to visit more, I miss this but I understand, I would miss Addi too" she nodded showing that she understood where I was coming from.

"I will and you need to figure what you're going to do" I reminded her.

"I just honestly don't want to leave Trey, one of my biggest fears growing up was marrying the wrong person and getting a divorce"

"Listen, with my situation, I have no room to give relationship advice but what I can say is do what makes you happy but don't allow him to walk over you" I said looking her, she nodded and looked down at her phone.

"You look like you have something else on your mind" she said squinting her eyes.

"It's something I've been keeping to myself...just forget it" I sighed not wanting to talking about it anymore. My ringtone snapped me away from staring and I saw Jayceon number flashing. I rolled my eyes and declined the call. As soon as I did that the messages started rolling in.

Jay: Some man came to house looking for you

Jay: I'm not saying this to get you back to the house

Jay: Can you please pick up your phone so I could talk to you

I rolled my eyes at the message and was about to put my phone down but the last message he sent caught my attention. I unlocked my phone and stared at the message in pure confusion.

Jay: He said he's your father, he wants to explain some shit to you

Father?

"What's wrong?" Shae asked putting her phone down when she noticed my confused face.

"Some man is at the house claiming he's my father"

"What? I thought your mom didn't know who it was" Shae said matching my facial expression.

"I thought the same thing, when I was younger she always told me some guy took advantage of her"

"Your life should be a damn book, this is crazy" Shae shook her head and stood up when she heard a knock on her door.

"It really should"

"What were you saying before though, what have you been keeping to yourself" she asked getting serious.

"Well uhhh..." I started and took a deep breath before telling her everything.

Ka'ron

"When is she coming back?" Kaelin asked walking into my office that I had at the house.

"Your mom said she'll be back tomorrow morning" I told Kaelin as she walked over to me.

"Why aren't you and my mom together?" She asked throwing off guard.

"You just full of question today huh?" I asked not really knowing how to answer that.

"Is it because of me, am I the reason?" She asked.

"No, me and your moms not being together had nothing to do with you"

"Are you sure?" She asked squinting her like she was trying to figure out if I was lying.

"Little girl stop questioning me and go do your homework or something" I laughed throwing a pillow at her.

Jayceon

"She ain't here so you could leave" I told the man who claimed to be Golden's father.

"Can you give her my number so I could speak to her?" He asked holding out a card.

"Don't you think you 27 years too late to try and bond" I asked looking him up and down.

"Who exactly are you?" He asked.

"Her husband, the man who been here for her" I stepped forward sizing him up.

"Husband? I don't see a ring and noticed you sent her multiple messages which she didn't reply to so I'm guessing you some ain't shit boyfriend or baby daddy" he smirked looking me up and down.

"Don't you have some more women to make single mothers or kids to not raise?" I asked getting annoyed with this guy.

"Where did she find your ignorant ass at?" He asked shaking his head.

"Same place her mother found you" I shrugged.

"You lucky I don't want to go back to jail, make sure Golden gets that card" he warned before turning around and leaving. I closed the door and threw the card on the floor. I wasn't giving her shit, I didn't like that nigga at all. He might not even be her daddy with his fraud looking ass.
