Daisy

The day flew quickly; Miya had offered to drive me home today, though she couldn't stay as her mother wanted her home after school.

I went up to my room and tidied it up a bit because it looked like it had been hit by a hurricane.

After that, I went to shower and got ready for tonight with Angel.

I was excited, he managed to fill my thoughts at all times; even yesterday, when I was with Francis, he managed to find his way into them.

I changed into my clothes and applied a light layer of concealer, mascara, and my favourite strawberry lipgloss.

My natural soft curls were combed out, and I let my hair flow loosely down my back.

After pairing it all with some jewellery I grabbed a small purse and placed some of my things inside.

Just as I finished, a knock came from the front door.

I hurriedly grabbed my phone and shut and locked my window.

My feet scattered down the stairs and walked straight to the front door.

I flung the door open and prepared to greet Angel when I realised it wasn't him.

Francis smiled down at me as he stood at the doorway, leaning against it.

"Hey, Francis." I greet him.

He gives me a quick nod and scans my attire, thankfully not for long enough to make me uncomfortable.

"Going out?" He asks.

I nod and smile.

"You look cute, he's a lucky guy." Francis says, smiling warmly at me.

I giggle and shrug.

"What are you doing here?" I ask him.

"My sister wanted me to ask the neighbours next door what day the bin truck comes." He says casually.

"Oh, Saturday mornings." I answer him.

A shadow loomed over him as he was ready to respond, Angel's tall body completely hovering over Francis.

He noticed this and took a step to the side and looked up.

Angel's face was contained with a deadly glare, which was mostly directed at Francis.

Boy better run for his life.

"I'll see you later, Daisy," Francis gives me a short nod and walks away.

Angel stood there watching him walk away, his eyes shooting bullets into his back.

I put my hand on his arm to draw his attention to myself.

His glare remains visible when he snaps his eyes towards me, though it gradually fades.

I smile at him and gently brush my palm against his arm, hoping to calm him a little.

He shifts his gaze away from me and onto the living room behind me.

"Tyson here?" Angel asks.

"No, he said he had an important business meeting to go to tonight." I explain.

Angel nods and returns his gaze to me.

He takes my hand in his and brings it up to his lips, causing me to blush slightly.

He pulls my body against him, leaning down to my lips.

"Pretty." He whispers as he runs his thumb along my bottom lip

I shrug and raise my head, cupping his cheek with my hand as I caress it.

"You look pretty too." I say back stupidly.

The tiniest smile hits his lips and I almost possibly fainted.

He removes my hand from his cheek and laces it through his, and he guides us to his car.

We get into the car, and he drives away.

The drive was quiet, but it was a comfortable silence.

As he drove skillfully on the roads, his hand rested comfortably on my thigh.

My phone had buzzed, alerting me that I had received a message.

I frown and look at my phone.

Ian

Hi Chica, are you busy? We're all meeting at the carnival tonight.

I responded by texting him that I was out with Angel.

I put down my phone and return my gaze to the window.

We arrived at our destination shortly after.

Surprisingly, it was the carnival that everyone was planning on attending.

I grinned, knowing that the carnival was something I wanted to attend.

In our little town, it was a tradition to hold it around this time of year.

Angel swiftly got out of his side and walked over to mine.

He opened the door for me, and I got out, taking my purse with me.

He swiftly closed the door and locked the car. His hand laced through mine as he walked us both towards the gates.

I skipped happily alongside him, taking in the sights of the illuminated park.

Hundreds of people were present, all of whom were either children, teenagers, or adults. My attention was drawn to the massive Ferris wheel, which was lit up by fairy lights that wrapped around it.

As we passed by, people laughed and talked, and my eyes darted across the stalls and games until they landed on one in particular.

When I tapped Angel on the shoulder he looked down at me, and I motioned for him to lean down so that I could speak with him.

I whispered in his ear as he bent down.

"Can we go over there first?" I asked him, pointing my finger towards the cliche ballon and dart game.

With our hands entwined and a smile on my face, I direct him towards the stall.

We get there, and I join the queue.

Angel's face was impassive as he irritatedly glared at the people in front of us.

I giggled since I could tell he wasn't very patient.

My eyes scanned the various sizes of plush toys on display as rewards. As my gaze settled on a huge panda, I bit my lower lip in excitement.

"I'm getting that one." I tell him, my tone was infused with confidence and no uncertainty.

"I'll take that one." My tone was infused with confidence and no uncertainty when I told Angel.

As he gazed at the panda, he smirked and nodded.

I came up to the front when the small boy in front of us finished, and the man handed me three darts.

"Simply aim the dart at a balloon and pop it. Your main goal is to pop them all and get the correct number of balloons; if you succeed, you win and receive a reward." As he lined the next batch of balloons, the man says.

I just nodded and stared at the balloons in front of me.

Okay, Daisy, you can do this.

Do not embarrass yourself.

I took a deep breath and aligned the first dart on the 5-meter line with a ballon.

I took a deep breath and then tossed the dart at the ballon.

It completely missed.

I looked at it, wide-eyed and surprised. Muttering profanities beneath my breath as I took the next dart Angel's deep chuckle from beside me drew my gaze to him.

He leant against the table next to him, his arms wrapped across his chest, and he peered down at me, amused.

I sighed and focused intently on the dart and Ballon. I stepped back 2 metres and am currently on the 7-meter line.

I aimed and then shot.

It missed again.

I turned my head towards them and flashed them a glare while the kids behind me snickered.

I was taken aback when the little girl poked her tongue at me.

I switched my focus back to the last ballon, defiantly ignoring her.

I swear on my parent's graves if this doesn't pop I will sue.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes before opening them and firing the dart across the table.

The sound of pop made my heart jolt in excitement.

As soon as I hit the ballon, I jumped on my feet and clapped joyfully.

Angel smirked at my enjoyment as the man smiled at me.

"Unfortunately you have to get them all to win, though your boyfriend could try?" The kind man suggests.

With eager eyes, I stare up at Angel.

He looks down at me and rolls his eyes before nodding at the man.

He smiles and gives Angel three darts before resetting the balloons.

Surely he won't get them all.

"Good luck." I say patting his shoulder before walking to the side.

When the bell tolls, Angel takes the first dart.

His eyes strained on the one ballon before he aims the dart and shoots it across the table.

My eyes widen as the dart lands perfectly on the ballon.

Angel licks his lips and takes a step back, grabbing the other dart and repeating the process.

He aims it and then fires, hitting it flawlessly once more.

What the fùc-

My thoughts are automatically cut off as the last dart hits the last ballon.

The bell jingles loudly, and the people behind us clap.

I'm speechless when I look at him.

He is unnerved by the attention and asks the man for the panda I mentioned earlier.

He takes it from him and turns around to face me, his face expressionless and his eyes blank.

As he got closer to me, I grinned at him.

I smile ruefully as he handed me the plush panda, surprised that my mouth hadn't begun to hurt from the amount of smiling I'd been doing.

Without caution, I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him tightly.

He chuckled at this and lightly rubbed my lower back.

"Thanks, Angel." I say softly.

I reach up, standing on his feet, as I lean my lips to his cheek and place a kiss on it.

He gives me a small kiss on the corner of my mouth with a smirk.

My cheeks flush, so I stoop down and grab his hand, dragging him through the torturous experience.

After two fun-filled hours later, I thought that we should ride the Ferris Wheel because people were starting to leave and the queue was getting shorter.

The girl shut the doors and then turned on the wheel, which began to carry us forwards.

Angel indicated that I sit next to him rather than across from him, and I prefer it that way as well.

As I watched us rise into the sky, I rested my head on Angel's arm.

As we rode to the top, the full moon's light shone down on us, filling my eyes with wonder.

It looked beautiful and peaceful, and I had found myself falling in love with it all over again.

"Moonlight?" Angel calls from beside me.

I return my gaze to him and stare at him, puzzled.

"Yes, Angel?"

He takes his hand in his and threads it into mine.

With a certain gentleness in his eyes, he stared into mine.

"Be my girlfriend?" He asks.

In a handful of seconds, my heart flips and pumps loudly in my chest.

"Are you sure?" I ask him with uncertainty.

He rolls his eyes and a small smile breaks onto his full lips.

"Positive, Moonlight." He answers honestly.

"Then, yes." I say back with a small smile.

Then he did something I'd never seen before, and it made my entire body flutter with butterflies.

A full dimple-eating smile.
