Rosemary's P.O.V

Ever since Violet started giving me her loving affection again, she had chose me as her Barbie all over again. Yay, woohoo. Not. I had forgotten how awful this was. Nevertheless, I sort of missed it. Of course, I was not going to let anyone know that, especially not Lola. I would never hear the end of it.

Violet showered me with all sorts of accessories. Very flattering ones. My favorite was the gold watch. I was definitely going to sneak this into my pocket somehow. Violet had too many, she wouldn't miss it.

"These earrings will compliment the necklace," Violet commented while adjusting the earrings on me. "Amelia, don't you think that she looks absolutely gorgeous?" she asked for her opinion, making me feel uncomfortable. It was bad enough that she was making me change with Amelia in the room, watching everything.

"Absolutely," Amelia agreed and walked over to my side. "Wear your hair like this," slightly standing behind me, she moved all of my hair to my left side.

Violet shook her head in disagreement, "She needs her hair tossed to the back," she pulled it back. "It shows off the necklace more," she stated. Violet had more fashion sense, so I agreed with her. I trusted her when it came down to these sort of things.

"But maybe Rosemary likes it more this way," and with that said, Amelia pulled my hair to the side again.

Violet laughed skeptically, "Rosemary agrees with me, ain't that right?" she eyed me.

"Absolutely," I immediately agreed. Arguing with her about this was never right.

"But Rosemary, don't you want to try something new?" was Amelia giving me the puppy eyes? Meanwhile, Violet was searching through her closet for something else. Another outfit? Ugh, no more. For the love of god, no more please!

"Um, not particularly," I replied to Amelia, keeping my eyes on Violet though.

"There's nothing wrong with new," her hand slid across my shoulders as she adjusted my hair properly. I gulped down hard as my heart beat quickened. Oh my god and Violet was right there!

"Ah, found it!" Violet fetched something out of closet, a whole new outfit.

I stepped back, "Actually, I have other things to do right about now," I looked down at the wrist watch, pretending to be examining the time. "So, I gotta go," I turned to walk down the stairs.

"You're not going anywhere!" Violet yanked me back.

I sighed, "Come on, Violet. I have to go," I lied. I wanted to leave. If only I had an actual believable excuse. "Lola is waiting for me, I'm already late," I held the wrist watch up to her face, as if showing her evidence. Although, I hadn't said any specific time.

"So?" she snorted, as if it didn't matter. "We're not done here," I bet she wouldn't be saying the same thing if she witnessed how flirtatious Amelia was being towards me. The flirting was probably nothing major. Maybe that's just how Amelia was with everyone. They were best friends, I couldn't risk ruining their friendship for nothing. "Sit your ass down," she pointed to the couch. "Never mind, take that off," she pointed to the outfit that I was wearing.

Discreetly, my eyes shifted to Amelia, whom was sitting on another chair, patiently waiting. When I looked elsewhere, I could feel her eyes on me. She was definitely waiting to see me change. I probably needed to talk to Violet about these new concerns. What would she think though? First I was complaining about Amelia having a thing for her, now for me? Violet would probably assume that I was making it up. Just to separate them.

Too complicated.

"No," I refused firmly.

Violet's eyes flickered, "No?"

"You heard me," I stood my ground.

Amelia cleared her throat, "Violet, maybe you should just let her go," she backed me up.

Violet rolled her eyes, "No," she was so damn stubborn. "We're not done yet," she fixed the outfit on the chair, motioning for me to get it.

"Peace, I'm out," I threw a peace sign and walked down the stairs.

"Rosemary! Come back!" Violet ordered.

Psh, yeah right. She was not the boss of me. My girlfriend, yeah but not my boss. It was like she seemed to forget so or to not understand.
I was not her life size Barbie.

And I was out.

**********

Lola was dragging me along with her everywhere. Literally everywhere! Showing me around campus. The restrooms. The classrooms. The swimming pools. The game room. Yoga room. Main cafeteria. The mini ones. The dining room. Study room. The hangouts. Like if I were new here.

Stopping, I pulled away from her hand, "Lola, why are you showing me around? I know where everything is at," I laughed, finding it kind of funny.

"I know but Violet has you locked in the room so much that I thought you had forgotten," she joked. Ugh, not this again. "It's like I haven't seen you in forever," she exaggerated.

"You saw me in class today," I reminded.

"Not really, I fell asleep in there," she shrugged. "But yeah, you need to come out more," she insisted.

Crossing my arms, I raised an eyebrow at her, "Why? Do you miss me?" I teased.

"Pff, no," she snorted, playing it off. I could tell that she did. Awe, how adorable. "I just get bored, you know," she excused. Whatever, she totally missed me. "Anyways," she took the focus off herself. "Aren't you relieved to finally be out here? Don't you ever get frustrated being in that room all of the time?" she questioned, as if already knowing the answer.

"Not really," I bet that's not what she was expecting.

Being alone in there with Violet was not boring at all. Entertaining actually. Being all intimate and all. Amelia had given us more space, so we were definitely taking advantage of it. If women could get other women pregnant, I'm pretty sure that one of us would already be. It was just so intense. So yeah, I had no complains when that was going on.

On the other hand, when she treated me like her Barbie, there's where I had to draw the line. Those moments were pure torture, expect when I got to keep some of the things. Like the gold watch that I managed to take today.

Lola threw her head back in annoyance, "Ugh, you're annoying," she remarked. Well. "Couples in general are annoying," she stated her opinion, although she was claiming it as a fact. This girl. "Especially any that involves Violet," she added.

"Whoa, chill," I chuckled. "What about a relationship made up of Edgar and you?"

"Now that would be a kick ass relationship," she claimed proudly.

"It would be just as annoying," I air quoted.

"Bitch, I said it would be kick ass," she insisted. "Together, we would be so badass," she honestly believed. Probably was true but no one would ever know, unless Edgar could fall for her too.

"If you say so," I was just gonna give that to her. "Listen," because of the whole Amelia thing, I needed someone to talk to about it. Who other than with Lola? Even her sarcastic self could help me out, I hoped. "Something has been bothering me," I paused. I knew that I could trust her but saying it out loud scared me. It would become more real. I took a deep breath. If only my heart could calm down, it would be extremely helpful. I took another deep breath. Okay, I was a bit more prepared. "Do you think Amelia might- possibly be interested in me?"

"Damn, Rosemary, you think everyone likes you or what? Conceited much?" she shook her head in disbelief.

I panicked, "Whoa, no, no, no-"

"I'm just messing with you!" she laughed. That bitch. Was she trying to give me a panic attack or what?

I sighed, "I'm just saying, I'm getting this sort of vibe from her," I shrugged. "Do you think she might be trying something?"

Lola bit on her bottom lip as she thought about it. "I don't think so," she gave it more thought. "She's Violet's best friend, I don't think she would betray her like that," she believed. "Violet's posse is formed of brainless-"

I cut her off, "Whoa, stop," I demanded respect. "Violet's my girlfriend," I reminded.

Lola rolled her eyes, "Whatever," she brushed it off in annoyance. "Like I was saying, unlike the others, Amelia is a pretty cool chick, she's not self absorb," she described. "She doesn't seem like the type to betray a best friend that way," she gave her opinion. This was confusing. "Rosemary, I don't like Violet but let me give you some wise advice. Don't try anything with Amelia. She's Violet's best friend, it's just not right."

"Who said that I wanted anything with Amelia?" I was taken back by her assumption.

"I'm just warning you," she raised her hands up before bringing them together.

"Look, I'm happy in my relationship with Violet," I assured. "She's who I want to be with. The one I love."

"Hey, don't convince me. Convince yourself," she sounded doubtful.

I let out a sarcastic laugh, "There's nothing to convince myself of. It's the truth. Now that's a fact," I reassured.

Violet was the one, she just was. There was no doubt about that.

**********

What a life, I was hiding from my own girlfriend. The whole afternoon was given to us. Meaning that she had extra time to do with me whatever she wanted. I wouldn't be hiding if it involved doing something enjoyable for me as well but Violet wanted to force me to go shopping with her. I was not up for that. Not now, not ever.

The study room was a good hiding place. She never came in here. Although, she would probably search for me here. Oh, now that I was thinking about it, this was not a safe place either. She had done it before.

Closing my text book, I stood up from the chair, ready to head out.

"Hey," Amelia found me. Shit. "Violet is looking for you," she informed, as if I didn't know.

"I kind of know that..." I looked past her, trying to see if Violet was nearby.

"Don't worry, she's looking for you in the cafeteria," and with that said, she closed the door. Locked it and turned to smile at me. "I won't tell her that you're in here," she assured. Um, cool but I also didn't want to be in here alone with her. "Mind if I hang out with you for now?" She asked.

"Actually, I was about to leave," I walked past her.

"I wouldn't go out there, Violet might find you," she warned.

"I really need to go though," I insisted, not caring much to be caught by Violet.

Amelia laughed slightly, "That's your go-to excuse, huh?" she asked behind me as I placed my hand on the doorknob.

I looked over my shoulder, "Huh?"

"When you want to leave, you use that as an excuse," she caught on.

"I really have to go though," I kept my excuse.

"Correct me if I'm wrong but I get the vibe that you're uncomfortable around me?" what was up with her? This only stressed me out more. I looked down at the ground, that must have been an answer enough. "I know that we've barely bonded but I want you to feel comfortable with me. Why not hang out right now so we can bond?" she suggested. Walking to a couch in the room, she tapped on the spot next to herself. Sighing at myself, I walked to it and sat down. "First off, I want to apologize on Violet's behalf," she sat closer, our shoulders were practically touching. I felt myself tense up. "If I would have known that you hated trying on outfits, I would have stopped Violet from the very beginning," she added.

"Thank you," nothing really was coming to mind. I probably sounded like a broken record to her.

"I know that Violet can be complicated, hey, she always gets her way," she chuckled. "She's definitely not easy to win a battle against," her hand rested on the couch, dangerously close to mine.

Casually, I scooted to the other end of the couch to keep distance from her. "But we love her either way, right?" I forced a laugh. "You as a best friend, and I as a girlfriend," I made that very clear.

"Of course," she nodded. Casually as well, she scooted closer. Oh god. I gulped down hard. She was making me nervous. "You know what I said the other day about anyone being lucky to have you, I meant that," the tip of her fingers brushed over my hand. My body stiffened at her touch. It was bothersome.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Someone was at the door. In a hurry, I got up from the couch and went to unlock the door. Opening it, I saw Violet with her hands on her hips, seeming upset.

"Here you are," her eyebrows connected in anger. Peeking her head in the room, she saw Amelia. "Amelia?" her forehead creased, seeming surprised. "What are you doing here with Rosemary?"

"Bonding with her," she replied easily.

"But you were supposed to bring her to me," in confusion, her forehead wrinkled again.

"I know, I'm sorry," she pouted, trying to make herself look cute.

Buying it, Violet laughed softly, "It's okay." Looking at me, she pulled on my hand, "We're leaving now," she forced me out of the room. "We wasted so much time already," she complained.

If Amelia wouldn't have shown up, I would have made it out of the study room and Violet wouldn't have found me. Now I was doomed.

Violet's P.O.V

Rosemary was nowhere to be found! At first, I was going to let her be and hang out with her little friend Lola but Amelia had a point, if Rosemary loves me, then she'd want to spend every second with me. Yet again, I tried not thinking that way, as Rachel and Lucy advised but Amelia was hyping up my toxic self.

Maybe I wasn't trying hard enough but my toxic bitch side was winning. I hated how aware I was of it and couldn't stop myself.

A message from Amelia came in: Rosemary is in the study room!!! Hurry!!!

Immediately, I replied: Don't let her leave!!!!!

Right away, I started running to the study room. People in my way got pushed off to the side. There was no time to lose! Knowing Rosemary, she was going to escape from Amelia.

Another message from Amelia came in: When you get here, make it seem like you accidentally found us. I don't want Rosemary to know I snitched her out...

Stopping on my tracks, I asked: Why?

Quick enough, her response came in: Because I want us to bond lol

Well, that made sense. I had always wanted them to get along, although I got a weird vibe from Amelia when it came to Rosemary. Maybe I was only overthinking.

Whatever, she helped me find her: Yeah, sounds good!

Amelia's message came in within seconds: Okay, I'm gonna go in and keep her here while you come!

Whatever it was, she was being helpful and I needed to run this hallway track to get to her on time.

Rosemary P.O.V

I didn't understand the huge fuss about Chanel. Nothing in the boutique called out to me. I had no interest in any of the clothing here. The hype was all because of the brand name. Walking into the clothing area, it resembled Violet's closet a lot, the one at her parents house. Practically the same. I made myself comfortable sitting on a sofa as Violet was being helped by an associate.

This was so boring.

Following Violet, we entered the shoe section. Ignoring them, Violet continued walking down the stairs. We went to the first floor, where Violet was examining the new arrivals.

"Violet?" I heard someone calling for her. Standing by her side, I saw two girls approaching her. They did not look familiar.

"Hey, girls," Violet greeted with a smile and a quick hug.

"What a surprise to run into you!" one of the girls smiled from ear to ear. "Who's this?" she glanced at me.

"Oh, this is my girlfriend, Rosemary," she introduced. Just by the sound of that, I felt butterflies in my stomach. I couldn't help but to smile like a fool.

"Oh my god, she's so pretty!" they might have just said that to be polite but I still appreciated the compliment.

Proudly, Violet smiled in agreement. Aww. As they spoke, I casually stepped aside.

Nearby, I was looking at the wrist watches.

A male associate dressed in a suit approached me, "Interested in me showing you a watch?" he offered.

I shook my head no, "But can you tell me the price of that one?" I pointed to one through the protective glass.

"Six thousand dollars," he replied.

"What!" I exclaimed. "What does it do?" I felt my face scrunch in shock. Way too expensive! Six thousand dollars for a watch? Hell no!

Embarrassed, Violet pinched my arm, "Rosemary, stop it, you're embarrassing me in front of my friends," she hissed into my ear.

"So what? Babe, this costs six thousand dollars!" it was just outrageous! I wouldn't pay that amount for a damn watch. It was crazy. I could buy like sixty watches from Macy's with that money.

"A very reasonable price," she laughed uncomfortably since people were staring at us. Couldn't they just mind their own business? "Um, Rosemary, we should leave now," half way covering her face, she led me out of the store, without buying anything.

That was a first.

Well hey, now I knew what to do next time whenever I wanted to get Violet to leave.

Violet's P.O.V

As I was catching up with friends from families that were business partners with my family, I bragged about Rosemary being my girlfriend. About how good she was to me and how in love I was.

"I can't believe you're actually in a relationship!" One of them exclaimed. Before Rosemary, I hadn't formally dated anyone before. So I could see why they were so surprised.

"She's hot!" They approved.

Proudly, I looked back and smiled while staring at Rosemary. She was by the jewelry section, roaming around.

"The most beautiful girl to ever live," admiringly, I kept my eyes on my girlfriend.

A FaceTime call from Amelia was coming in. Before I could do anything, the girls motioned for me to answer. "Ooh we want to talk to her!" They all knew her as well.

Answering the call, I pointed the front camera to all of us. Surprised, Amelia grinned and waved hello. "Where's Rosemary?" She noticed her absence right away.

Pointing the camera to her, I answered, "Looking at the jewelry."

Suddenly, I heard an astonished Rosemary, "What!"

"Uh-oh!" Amelia stifled a laugh. "Is she about to make a scene?" She exchanged a mocking laugh with the girls.

"Rosemary knows what she's doing," I defended, really hoping she did.

"What does it do?" Rosemary demanded.

Amelia burst out laughing, "You're going to let her embarrass you like that?"

The girls laughed, "She's pretty but embarrassing!"

"Fuck you!" I muttered through my teeth, to not make a scene but wanting them to shut the fuck up.

"If you don't put your foot down now, babe," eww, I was used to hearing my close friends call me that here and there but not with Amelia. Normally, I'd be perfectly fine with it but lately, I had been getting bad vibes from her. "Then's she's always going to embarrass you with no remorse," Amelia argued.

"Stop her! Stop her! Stop her!" They all chanted. Rolling my eyes, I shook my head no. "Stop her!" I insisted.

Annoyed, I grunted, "Fine!" Just to get them off my back. The loudest to cheer was Amelia.

Amelia celebrated, "Yeah! Show her how it's done, Violet! Remember, she has to adjust to our society now!" she laughed a little too evilly.

"What the fuck?" I didn't like that.

"I meant to say that you have a reputation to protect and it seems like she's only damaging it on purpose," Amelia defended, although I did not agree with it whatsoever.

"She's right, Violet. If she cared, she would stop and consider how you'd feel about it," one of the
