Rosemary's P.O.V

If only the new teacher knew what she got herself into. I predicted a week. That's how long it'd take for her to quit. People here were awful. To think that it was supposed to be the best. My parents sent me here for a higher education. How wrong were they there. I was learning more at my previous school. No regrets though. Coming here led me to meeting Violet again.

The teacher held an expo marker as she paced back and forth in front of the classroom. "Who can answer this?" She asked and patiently waited for someone to respectively raise their hand.

"Deez nuts!" Brody coughed out, making immature students burst out laughing.

Lola stared at him in a what the fuck? manner, "It doesn't even-" she didn't bother to finish, as if it weren't even worth it.

Connecting her eyes in anger, the teacher pointed out the door. "Leave this very instant!" She ordered.

Brody laughed as if she were ridiculous. "But only because I have better things to do," willingly, he stood from his seat. He walked to Nick's desk. "Pay up, sucker," with a smug plastered on his face, he held his hand out.

Nick pulled out his wallet, "It was well worth it," he handed over a few bills to Brody.

As if not trusting Nick, he counted the money. "The fuck!" He hissed. "You said that you would give me five hundred dollars if I said that," he reminded. Ah, so it was part of a bet. Were they that bored with their lives? They had so much money to waste.

Nick snickered, "Shit, I say a lot of things," he shrugged it off. "Oh and, we agreed on you yelling it out, not coughing, you little pussy," Nick insulted, gaining laughs.

The teacher gasped in utter shock and disbelief. "The both of you need to leave!"

"Eh, okay," Nick didn't protest. "Brody, be satisfied with your three hundred dollars. You can pay back your father with that money since you'll be missing this class," while saying that, his eyes shifted to me in a mocking manner, recalling my little speech when the other teacher quit.

As these disrespectful fools left, Melanie reached for Brody's hand, seductively. "Take me with you," her eyelashes fluttered at him.

"Miss, you are not allowed to leave," the teacher prohibited.

"Bite me," Melanie continued her way out with them, escorted by Brody. Someone was getting some.

"Anyone else?" Sarcastically, the teacher invited students to walk out.

"Oh, me!" a few rushed out.

She should have known better. Even though it was her first day, I'm sure she was warned. Or not? The principal probably lied, so that she wouldn't run off. Sleazeball move.

**********

Nick wouldn't get out of my way. Every time that I took a step to the left, he took one too. The same happened when I would walk to the right. There was no way of walking around him. Amusement filled his eyes as a dumb smug remained plastered on his face.

"When will you accept to make a special movie?" he was unbelievably disgusting.

"Tell Edgar no!" I huffed. I could not believe that he sent him to me.

"Think about it first!" Nick looked entertained. "Melanie and Chantel are excited about a threesome, we just need you in the cast," was he serious about producing this disgusting video?

"Save your breath," Melanie came walking to Nick's side. Held his arm and tilted her head on to his shoulder. "If we want Rosemary, we need to get Violet's permission first," she mocked. "What Violet says goes. Ain't that right, Rosemary?" she raised an eyebrow. "Oh, wait," she looked at Nick. "Give it a few days, Rosemary might find out soon what Violet and Amelia have been up to," she insisted on the whole cheating thing, which was getting old by now. Though, it still concerned me.

Showing her that I found it pathetic, I yawned. "Done yet?" I motioned for them to get out of my way.

"Seriously though, do you even know where Violet is right now?" Melanie questioned. "Do you know where Amelia is?" Again, she turned to Nick. "So sad to see this, huh?" yet, she chuckled. "Poor Rosemary, she's in denial," they shared a laugh.

The fact that they were this bored, and therefore had to mess with me.

"No worries though," Nick spoke. "When you're free from your cage, we'll be here to welcome you," he made it an open invitation.

"Especially me," Melanie looked me up and down, making me feel uncomfortable.

"The high class whore at it again," that voice! I was so thankful to see Lola. "Thank you but your services are not required," she waved her off. "I heard that Misty is looking for a good time though," she pointed towards her direction. "And she just got her allowance, so you're in luck," she winked before grinning from ear to ear in a mocking manner.

"Oh shit!" Nick laughed.

"Still hating on me, I see," Melanie looked her up and down, in a disgusting manner. "Only because I rejected you," she claimed.

Lola burst out laughing. "Oh please. Next time, come up with a more believable lie. Like pigs could fly out of your butt hole, I would believe that more than your dumb ass response," she retorted. True. Mainly because Lola was straight. Melanie just blurted out the first thing that came to mind.

"Bitch," Melanie rolled her eyes and walked away.

Speaking behind her, Lola continued to mock her, "Oh, save those eye rolls for Misty."

Fortunately, Nick followed them. Thank god! Loosening my tie, I took a turn to go to the cafe. If I was in luck, I was going to find Violet there. All in hopes, Amelia would not be there with her. Being around her made me uncomfortable too. I didn't get her. She was confusing. I did know one thing though, she took a lot of Violet's attention from me.

**********

At first, Violet was nowhere to be found but that was okay because she was with me now. Just her. No Amelia. Thank god. Lola really came through for me again. She took it upon herself to distract Amelia in the meantime, so Violet and I could have some alone time.

"My parents called today," Violet brought up while twirling a stand of my hair around her finger. I met her eyes. "They want us to have dinner with them tomorrow," she informed. "They already invited your parents," she added.

"That's strange, they haven't called me to say anything," I found it sort of out of place.

"Maybe because they can't make it tomorrow," she answered. "So it'll just be my parents and us," she stated.

"Awesome," I yawned.

Violet's eyes squinted, "You don't want to go, do you?" she assumed that I didn't care. That was not the kind of person I was. She should have known that. I was grateful to be invited by her parents. They were good people.

"It's not that. I'm tired," I clarified. "Of course I want to go tomorrow," I assured. "It's been a while since I last seen them, it would be nice to see them." And I wasn't just saying that.

Violet sighed, "They always pay more attention to you than to me," she pouted.

"Hey, that's not true," she was nuts.

"Wanna bet?" she challenged. "I bet they prefer you. If they could, they would have you as a daughter instead of me," she believed, which was sad. Violet was an amazing girl. Sure, sometimes she acted conceited, stubborn, spoiled, bratty but over all, she was pretty fuckin' amazing! Rare times came when she showed her sensitive side. Violet did care about people, even if it was hard to see and believed for the most part. She just didn't show it that much. "Good thing that Amelia will be there too, in case that I get completely ignored by them," she smiled from ear to ear, as if she had something else to fall back on.

"Say what?" I was taken back by that.

"Amelia is going too, my mom wants to see her," she explained. I rolled my eyes at that. "Rosemary," Violet chuckled. "Still jealous of Amelia?" her nose bumped into mine. I stifled a laugh, trying to keep a straight face. "I think I've been pretty good in not giving you any reasons to feel that way," oh, did she really?

"Well..." my eyes shifted elsewhere.

"Whoa?" she gasped.

"You spend so much time with her and hardly any with me," I pointed out.

Violet's head tilted to the side as she sat against the headboard and pulled me to her side. "Have I?" by the sound of if, she hadn't realized it. "You're always with me though, there's no way," she excused.

"Not the same thing," I dismissed. "Also, you said that you wouldn't be too physically close to her but I caught her tickling you," I couldn't keep it to myself. It just bothered me so much. I had to call her out on it.

"Oh," she said as if something had clicked. "No wonder why you were shaken up when you entered the room," she now understood. "Rosemary, I'm so sorry about that," she genuinely apologized. "I had been keeping my distance but that was just random," she added. "And it was the only time," she assured. Hmm, it was getting harder to trust her. "Rosemary, you have to believe me," she kissed my cheek. "Hey, look at me," she spoke softly. Held my chin in between her fingers and turned my face towards hers.

"People are starting to say that you're cheating on me with Amelia..."

"Who?"

"To start off, well, Melanie-"

Violet groaned, "Really, Rosemary? Melanie?" she questioned in disbelief. "You out of all people should know not to believe a single word that girl says. Melanie likes to instigate when she has nothing else to do," she stated what I already knew. "Apparently, she succeeded with you," she hissed.

"Regardless of what she says, something tells me that something is wrong," I crossed my arms.

Violet wrapped her arms around me, "Rosemary, there's something that I need to tell you." I didn't like the sound of her distressed voice. "Amelia and I did hook up," she confessed. My mouth dropped. I knew it! I fuckin' knew it! That fuckin' cheating bit-! "But back in freshman year," she added. Oh... I was just kidding about the cheating witch thing... "It was nothing though, it meant absolutely nothing," she quickly clarified.

"Then why did you hook up with her?" I needed her to elaborate because so far it was not making her look good.

"Well because..." she paused. Why did it seem like it worried her so much what my reaction would be after telling me the reason? This only scared me more. Shit, she needed to speak up. "We were experimenting," her eyes narrowed down away from me.

"Huh?"

"It was my first time," she elaborated.

"And you're claiming that it meant nothing?" I sighed.

"I mean, it's not like we had feelings for each other," she clarified. Her arms held me tighter, as if she were afraid that I was going to push away from her. "Being best friends and all, we trusted each other, so yeah... we thought it would help us be prepared for the real thing," she justified.

"How am I supposed to compete with that?" wiggling out of her hold, I scooted away. "Your first time was with her, whether you deny it or not, it'll always mean something. I cannot compete with that."

Violet pulled me back into her arms, "I'm not asking you to compete against anyone. There's nothing to compete with," her chin rested on my shoulder. "Like I said, it was nothing. Rosemary, I love you and you're the only one who matters to me," she reassured. "The reason why I'm telling you this is because I don't want any secrets between us."

There it was, I wanted the truth, didn't I? I asked for it. Now that I knew it, I wished that I hadn't known. Amelia was her first. Whether she felt it or not, it's something that would always keep them connected. If it were someone else, it wouldn't matter so much but this was Amelia we were talking about. Her absolute best friend. Violet already had a special friendship love for her. That could easily turn to being in love.

It was too much for me to handle right now. On the bright side, I knew that they weren't hooking up. At least I hoped not. There was so much sincerity in Violet's voice though, it was impossible not to believe her.

"Well, I appreciate the truth," as much as it messed me up, I had to know.

"So is everything fine between us?" a hopeful smile crept to her lips.

Unsure, I shrugged. "You don't have any romantic feelings for her but maybe she does?"

Violet let out a laugh as if I had just said the funniest nonsense. "Amelia doesn't see me that way either," she assured. "I'm like a sister to her," she believed. Hmm, I doubted it. "Besides, she already told me that she likes someone from here," she grinned, as if she were excited herself.

"Oh yeah, who?"

"I don't know, she won't tell me," her grin turned to a frown.

"But you're best friends, shouldn't she tell you?" I found it kind of weird.

"That's what I said but she doesn't want to jinx her chances with her, so she wants to keep it a secret for now," she explained. Made sense. I guess.

What if Amelia really did like Violet though, and that's why she wasn't telling her who the mysterious crush was? I seriously needed to stop filling up my head with all these disturbing thoughts.

"So, is everything fine between us?" Violet stated the question again.

"Yeah," to be honest, I was not so sure but time would tell.

Melanie and Chantel sure were putting up a performance in the cafe. Dancing. Basically doing a striptease. Those two were crazy attention calling-girls. Violet yawned as she watched them.

"No looking," playfully, I covered her eyes while pulling her chair closer to mine.

Violet chuckled as she pulled my hand down, "I'm only paying attention to how ridiculous they look," she claimed.

"Uh huh sure," I nodded sarcastically. "Say what you want but you know they actually look good up there," I stated in order to mess with her. All in fun, of course.

Violet gripped my tie, "What did you say?" she put up a mean look. I stifled a laugh as I saw her struggling not to laugh as well.

"That they look hot dancing up there," I grinned to annoy her even more, which was working. Even though she knew that I was joking, she still took it to heart.

"Oh yeah?" she released my tie. Calm and collected, she stood up from her chair. Uh-oh. "Rosemary would like to join you!" Violet announced, getting people to welcome me with a hand of a applause. Oh, that witch! "Go ahead, Rosemary," crossing her arms loosely and smirking in victory, Violet encouraged me to follow Melanie and Chantel.

Melanie stood dumbfounded. "Um, yeah, Rosemary, come on up!" she caught up quick enough though.

I slouched in my chair, "I rather not," I attempted at covering my face.

"Rosemary! Rosemary! Rosemary!" Violet started a cheer. What the hell was up with her? I thought she didn't want me anywhere near Melanie and Chantel? This was an exception I guess. All was fair in love and war.

"Next time!" I lied only to get them off my back.

People continued to cheer for me to join the striptease.

"Enough!" Violet shut them up.

Melanie and Chantel continued to give a performance. All eyes focused on them.

Readjusting her tie, Violet sat down while laughing, amusingly.

I sighed out of relief that it had ended.

"That wasn't funny," I hissed at her.

"Oh but it was," she caught her breath.

"But it wasn't fun for me to go through," I replied.

"Well, you shouldn't make shitty comments," a smug was plastered on her face in a victorious manner.

"I've learned my lesson," I chuckled.

Letting my eyes wander around, I caught Lola sitting by herself at a table. Her sad puppy eyes were staring at something- someone. Across the room from her, Edgar sat with two girls, being flirtatious. Poor girl. If only Lola could move on from him. Or if only Edgar could fall for her too.

This awful headache was killing me. Ever had a headache so terrible that it made you want to vomit? Yeah, it was one of those. I wanted to pass out just so that I didn't have to go through the pain. Ditching class, I decided to stay in the dorm room. It must have been because I skipped breakfast this morning. Also because as usual, Nick caused chaos in class.
Too much homework had me feeling sick too. No one ever did it but me. If they didn't want to learn, that was not my problem. I wasn't going to let the partying stop me from having a successful future.

The door opened, "Here you are," Violet came walking to my bed. "The teacher is asking for you," she informed as she sat at the end of the bed. I buried my face into my pillow and groaned as my pounding headache got worse. I felt Violet's weight scooting closer. "Have you taken a pill yet?" she rubbed my back in a comforting manner. Ah, that felt so good. I shook my head no, causing her to gasp. "Stupid," she remarked. "How do you expect to get rid of the headache if you haven't taken it yet?" she questioned in disbelief. Ugh. I didn't want to hear that now.

"I can't get up," I excused.

Violet's weight was felt leaving the bed. I lifted my head up and saw her searching for an Advil pill in one of the drawers. "Uh huh," she fetched out the container. I laid on my side and rested my hand underneath my head while watching her pour water in a glass. "Take it," she handed me the pill.

Sitting up, I tossed it into my mouth and took the glass of water from her hand. Since I felt like throwing up, swallowing the pill felt more difficult than usual. It almost made me want to puke even more.

"Tell the teacher that I'm not feeling well," I got comfortable under the covers.

"She'll figure it out," Violet placed the glass on the nightstand before getting comfortable under the covers with me. I gave her a puzzled expression, questioning her why she was doing that. "I'm not gonna leave you alone, feeling like this," she stated, making me smile. "I'll look after you while you sleep," she assured as she moved my head to the crook of her neck.

Butterflies flew like crazy in the pit of my stomach as I felt her warmth. Her hand brushed my hair soothingly. I loved feeling protected by her. Loved when she took care of me when I felt sick. Comfortably in her arms, I closed my eyes. All thoughts drifted away as I got lost in deep sleep.

Violet's P.O.V

Plans were not going as I wanted them to! Ugh! Rosemary was dead asleep. My poor baby had a migraine. That alone, I hated seeing. Another one was seeing my plans falling apart! Everything always needed to happen as I imagined them as! Always! Shit being out of my control frustrated me.

Lucy and Rachel came into the dorm room. The moment I heard them, I signaled for them to be quiet. Rosemary was sleeping and I was not going to let them wake her up. Cautiously, I slipped away from her and lifted myself up from the bed.

Lucy whispered to me, "Are we setting up yet?"

Doubtfully, I shifted my attention from her to Rosemary. To double check that she was sound asleep still. "Rosemary isn't feeling well," I informed, not knowing whether to continue with my plan or not.

As an excuse, I told Rosemary that we were having dinner with my parents. At first, she questioned why her parents hadn't told her but I played it off by saying that I didn't really know. To surprise her even more, I even went as far as saying that Amelia was going to join us. That led to a very difficult conversation but which was honestly necessary.

The dinner plans with my parents was a lie, however. Only to prepare her for it. For her to get dressed up for my surprise. For a while now, I had been planning this. Sometimes I disappeared but only because I was planning part of the surprise.

Rachel sighed, "You've been planning this for years," she
