Violet's P.O.V

A rooftop party was exactly what I needed. I fuckin' adored Rosemary but hanging out with her friends today exhausted me! Most of her friends were friendly and I liked them but one of the girls was eww! The way she stared at Rosemary as if she belonged to her and as if I were some side chick. It did not set right with me. I had to practice inner peace because I was about of fuck up a bitch. Especially when she was throwing indirect shade at me. Like what the fuck? I was trying to make a good impression, therefore I had to bite my tongue for the most part.

That Diamond chick was weird as fuck. Throwing shade at me. Bitch was lucky that I was trying to give a good impression because of Rosemary.

Wasting no time, Nick and Edgar were grinding with girls on the dance floor. Melanie was teasing and making out with guys and girls off to the side. Chantel looked jealous of it but no one could stop Melanie to be honest. At another table, people were snorting white lines. Bottles were being downed like water. Strip teases were being provoked. Pills were being passed around. The calm ones were smoking weed or taking an edible.

Drugged the fuck out, everyone danced seductively. Not giving a fuck about what anyone said. Piece by piece, clothes was removed.

Rosemary's friends showed up.

Standing closely, I overheard what they were telling her.

"I told my parents that I was staying at Cammie's house," Molly informed.

"And I told mine that I was staying at her house," Cammie explained, pointing to Molly.

"Rosemary, we're risking a lot to be here with you," Fuck, Diamond came too.

"Thank you for making it here," Rosemary was mostly giving her attention to everyone but Diamond. Good girl. "I don't know if there's anything here but alcohol but I'll check!" and with that said, Rosemary walked off with Jonathon.

With girls in each arm, Edgar came dancing along the way. The moment his eyes landed on Cammie, he pushed the girls away and approached her. "Hello there, beautiful," right off the bat, he started his game. "What's your name?" He asked, looking hypnotized by her.

Girls called for him but he ignored them all.

Flattered, Cammie giggled, "I'm Cammie."

Edgar glanced at her hands, "Come with me for a drink," gentleman like, he waited for her to link arms with him to lead her away, which she happily did. I couldn't blame her. Edgar was an extremely attractive guy and when he wanted to be, he was very gentleman-like.

"Violet, want to dance with me?" A guy grabbed me by the hips.

I pushed his hold away from me, "No. I'm good."

Someone else came directly in front of me, "Violet, beautiful! Take a shot with me?" he was eager for me to join him.

"Not now," I shook my head no and turned away from him.

"Violet, queen! Come be with me!" A girl pulled me in, causing me to crash against her body. "We're over here," she pointed off to the side.

"Eww what the fuck? Get off me!" I felt so violated by the fact that she pulled me in without making sure that I was okay with it. If it wasn't Rosemary, I didn't want anyone to touch me!

The girl vanished away.

Diamond snickered, "And Rosemary has agreed to this?"

Fed up with her low blows, I questioned, "Okay with what?"

Taken back by my outburst, her eyes widened, "B-by your wa-way with other p-people," she stuttered.

I chuckled mockingly, "Baby girl, there's nothing to discuss, I'm only hers and she's only mine," I made it very clear since this bitch thought she could stir shit up. Diamond's jaw clenched. Yes! Bitch needed to eat it all up. Whether she liked it or not, Rosemary was mine!

No one said anything to me but I could just tell that something happened between them for Diamond to be acting this way. For some reason, she thought that she still had a chance but no one held a chance against me! Rosemary was mine!

"Funny how no one respects your relationship," she noted since everyone kept trying to win my attention and spit game at me.

Molly elbowed her, "Violet, thank you for inviting us," she showed appreciation.

Molly and Cammie will always be welcomed but as far as Diamond went, I never wanted to see her again. The bitch thought she was bad but in reality was a dumb ass bitch! A jealous one! Rosemary was with me now and she needed to get that through her little head!

Sensually, Melanie came dancing her way to me and placed her hands on my hips. "Queen!" Provocatively, she moved my hips side to side to dance with her.

"Mel," I chuckled.

"You look good!" She giggled. "Tasty!" She rephrased and before I knew it, she pulled me by the face to kiss me.

"Melanie!" I complained as I pushed her off.

Processing it, I paralyzed. Not in a million years did I expect for her to do that. Usually, it was her preying on Rosemary. Why the fuck did she kiss me in front of Rosemary's friends? Okay, she didn't know they were here but still!

"Get the fuck off her!" An outraged Rosemary growled. A group came running with toy spray guns filled with liquor. Playfully, they were squirting it into each other's mouth.

Rosemary snatched a water spray gun from one of them and sprayed Melanie with it to get her away from me as far as possible.

Giggling, Melanie opened her mouth to catch the liquor though.

"Whoa! Rosemary!" Nick took the spray gun from her.

"Nicolas! Give that back to me!" Rosemary nearly fought and kicked him over it.

"Don't mess with my face though!" Fearing for his attractiveness, he surrendered the gun to Rosemary.

I groaned, "Rosemary! Quit it!" I wasn't upset with her but I didn't want a scene to be made, especially in front of her friends. Diamond was already throwing shade as it was.

"Tell her to quit it!" Rosemary retorted, darting her eyes at Melanie. Filled with jealousy.

Concerned and wide-eyed, her friends watched in shock. Worried for what was about to come. As if they weren't used to any of this.

Jonathon laughed mockingly at Diamond, "Rosemary never got that way for you!"

Seriously, Jonathon was my favorite of her friends. Eyebrows connected, Diamond crossed her arms.

Molly and Cammie came running to stand beside Rosemary. They linked arms with her to calm her down.

"She's your girlfriend, you don't have to worry about anything," Molly calmed down.

"Girlfriend?" Nick's forehead creased. "Who's her girlfriend?" Puzzled, he asked for clarification.

My heart stuttered in my chest. I looked around myself and saw that everyone froze in place. Questioning what was happening. All of a sudden, Rosemary's demeanor changed and she seemed to get little.

A drunk Melanie danced happily, "Duh! Violet's her girlfriend!" She answered Nick.

Processing this new information, everyone stayed still. Eyes flickered and jaws dropped. Chit chat broke out. Wow, many people were talking at once that I couldn't make any bit of it. For the most part, it stayed within the lines of asking if it was a joke. If they were being punked. If it was a bet or something similar to it.

"But they hate each other," I caught that one.

"This has to be a joke, there's no way!" Someone else was in disbelief.

"I mean I've heard of from hate to love but come on! Those two hate each other too much!" It amused me how people really thought this way about us. How shocked they were!

"They're like oil and water! They can't get along!" Someone compared.

Sometimes we couldn't get along still but we tried to make it work when it came down to it.

"Like fire and ice!" Another person compared as well.

"Hell and heaven," someone added.

Maybe they were having fun with it but seriously, they needed to start accepting it and see it as something completely normal! I no longer wanted to hide my feelings for Rosemary! I wanted no bitch to hit on her. What was mine was off limits! I wanted to be able to freely express what I felt for her, which was so beautiful and passionate! I wanted to show her off proudly and be affectionate without having to look over my shoulder constantly.

"Listen up assholes!" They knew I was saying that with all the love in the world. Determined, I walked to Rosemary's side. Cammie and Molly stepped back. Proudly, I held her hand in mine for support. "That's right! Rosemary and I are dating and if any of you has a problem with that, we can square up right now!" I challenged anyone to step up. Might as well get it over with. Just as shock by the confession, Rosemary's eyes widened along with everyone else.

A cup dropped.

Gasps went around.

People were disappointed by it. The ones who were hitting on us. Now they knew that they had no chance and to back off. We were off limits. Hopefully, they'd respect that!

No one said a word anymore. Complete silence as it sunk in.

"I'm very confused," Edgar whispered to Nick, who just shrugged since he was just as confused.

Loudly, Melanie cheered, "Fuck yes!"

Following her lead, Chantel applauded, encouraging others to do so too. Slowly, people started applauding, still confused about whether it was true or not. I could see it in their expressions.

Rolling my eyes, I grabbed Rosemary and kissed her in front of everyone. Not precisely to prove anything to anyone but just for the simple fact of wanting to show her off as mine. I was so damn proud to have her by my side. Finally, I could do this in front of everyone.

People cheered loudly to see us kiss. Hollering took over in the background. For the most part, it sounded like they were happily in shock. First, they were scared of it and now they were excited for it.

"Anything happens in Montgomery, right?" Nick snickered. "Cheers to that!" I heard him add to it.

"To Violet and Rosemary!" Edgar made the toast.

"To Violet and Rosemary!" Everyone cheered. I giggled on Rosemary's lips and that's when we broke out of the kiss. Butterflies swamp the pit of my stomach, my heart raced and my cheeks got warm. God, why didn't we come clean from the very beginning? Oh I know! We wanted to have privacy and didn't want anyone to ruin it.

It was all out now though.

Molly cleared her throat.

Rosemary turned to her.

"I think we're gonna go," she informed. Rosemary's eyebrows furrowed and I felt for her. I knew that she wanted to spend time with her friends.

"But we found something for you to drink!" Rosemary didn't want them to leave. Jonathon held up the coca-cola soda bottle. "It was being used as a chaser but you can drink it!" Rosemary welcomed them to, really wanting them to stay.

"It's getting late," Cammie insisted besides Molly.

Right away, Edgar jumped in, "Before you leave, can I have your number?" He wasted no time.

Rosemary looked saddened, "Okay, I understand," she didn't beg them.

Out of sight, Diamond was completely gone. Didn't even realize when she ran off. Must have been sometime when Rosemary and I kissed. Her presence was unwanted either way.

"Some ugly bitch bumped into me," Rachel was annoyed.

Lucy elbowed her in the ribs to shut up, "That was one of Rosemary's friends!" She reminded in a loud whisper.

"Like I give a fuck?" Rachel was not phased. "The bitch was still ugly!" She stood by her statement.

The only one who was missing was Diamond, so she was talking about her.

I burst out laughing, "I love you, Rachel!" I hugged her.

Luckily, Rosemary was too distracted saying goodbye to her friends to even hear our conversation.

People were busy talking about what just happened. About us. None of it matter to me though. I was so confident in our relationship that I only cared about us.

I didn't care about what anyone had to say.

Only thing that mattered to me was that now I was gonna be able to brag about Rosemary being mine. That I was gonna be able to kiss her in front of everyone. Express my feelings to her without worrying about anything. About people catching us. About holding back on telling her how much she meant to me in public places. No more sneaking around. If a bitch got too close to her, I could freely go up and claim what was mine. I mean, I still needed to work on that because Rosemary didn't like when I had my temper or reacted too quickly.

This was a step towards the right direction.

Rosemary's P.O.V

Hand in hand, Violet and I walked into class. The moment we stepped in, all eyes were on us. Eyes widened and jaws dropped. Nick was by our desk when we arrived. Exaggerating, he rubbed his eyes, as if he wasn't seeing correctly. Oh please, he needed to quit that. He was at the party and was aware of it already.

He burst out laughing, "I'm just joking. I was feeling left out," he gestured to the classmates that were in complete and utter shock. The ones who were not at the party.

"Wait, you're holding hands," a classmate who wasn't at the party pointed out. His eyes stayed glued to the sight of our hands.

"Um yeah?"

"But you hate each other," he stated.

"We hate each other so much that we're holding hands?" Violet pushed him out of the way, not caring to explain anything to him. We walked past him, laughing. I welcomed Violet to slide in first, then I took my seat.

As I sat, I noticed the confused expressions of two girls from another classroom that rushed in.

Girls that Violet sometimes gossiped with.

They came in front of our desk. Their arms were crossed.

"Violet, if she's blackmailing you, then blink," the dark haired girl whispered to her. Obviously it was meant for me to hear. I rolled my eyes at that.

Violet chuckled, "Of course not."

"Wait, you blinked, I'm confused," the light brown haired girl leaned closer, carefully watching for a sign.

"Girls," Violet slightly laughed and leaned towards me. "Rosemary and I are dating," she confirmed. In complete and utter shock, they exchanged a look. Then looked at Rachel for more confirmation.

"You guys are acting like fools. They're dating," Rachel confirmed.

Everyone kept staring and it got old right away. "Seriously guys, Violet and I have decided to give us a chance," I explained, wanting to set it straight.

"It won't work," Olivia then appeared by my side.

"Back away from my girlfriend!" Violet shoo her away. Upset, she stood up.

"Violet," I tried pulling her down by the hand.

"Not until this bitch leaves," Violet could not stand the sight of her.

"Don't call me that!" Olivia retorted.

"Or what?" Violet was definitely not fazed by it.

"You don't want to know," Olivia smirked.

"Olivia, just walk away," I pleaded. I didn't want a cat fight to start between them.

"Rose," Olivia knew I hated being called that. Everyone did. Why then? Especially had the audacity to say it in front of Violet.

"Don't you ever call her that!" Violet walked around her desk. Instantly, I jumped right in front of her.

"Fight! Fight! Fight!" the stupid morons were cheering.

"Shut up!" I hissed at them. Then turned my attention to Violet and held her by the shoulders. "Don't stoop down to her level," I pleaded.

Offended, Olivia scoffed behind me, "You thought I was great enough to go on a date with, remember?"

"We don't remember embarrassing shit!" Violet somehow snaked around me. She was about to swing at Olivia but I gripped her by the waist and pulled her back.

Others whined, "Let them fight!" they exclaimed.

"Damn, today is a strange day," someone commented. "First, we come to find out that Violet and Rosemary are actually dating and it was not a joke. Now this!" he sounded amused.

I ignored it.

"Why are you getting so mad, Violet?" Melanie questioned. "She ain't shit," this time, I didn't mind her opinion.

Olivia mugged Melanie, "Ain't no one talking to you," she remarked. Then added, "But I can answer that, she's mad because Rosemary liked me first," she laughed mockingly.

"Shut the hell up!" Violet was raging.

"What makes you more mad? The fact that she liked me first or that she helped me mess up your face?" oh my god, seriously, someone had to put a stop to it.

Violet's jaw clenched. I held on tighter.

I had to clear things up. I thought she was cute at first but I never actually liked her. I was trying to distract myself from falling for Violet.

As I was about to correct Olivia, Violet beat me to it.

"If she liked you," Violet air quoted, "then why didn't she go on a second date with you and didn't even want to be friends with you?" Violet's attitude changed. Instead of showing anger, she smirked.

"Ooooh," was heard all throughout the classroom.

Now Olivia's jaw clenched. At least she was feeling all the anger that she caused in Violet first. It was only fair.

The teacher walked in, "Take a seat," she ordered everyone.

"Come on, Violet," I forced her to turn around. "Come on," I insisted. Before sitting, Violet cupped my face and pressed her lips against mine. Just like I had told her I would that one day, I kissed her passionately. In front of everyone. Except, I didn't squeeze her ass like I promised I would have. Like I had expected, my classmates cheered.

Fed up, Olivia stormed out of the classroom.

"Miss Delaney and Miss Myles, leave the classroom this instant!" the teacher kicked us out.

"Whatever," Violet held my hand, taking me away.

As we left, I could hear everyone complaining. Complaining to the teacher for ending the show. Too bad for them.

Once being out, Violet pulled me into her arms. "You actually did it!" she seemed proud of me, which made me laugh.

"I told you I would," I kissed her cheek.

"Uh-uh," she tapped her lips. Doing as instructed, I kissed her lips. Good because I really wanted to.

"So what do we do now?" I asked. We had a whole free class period. What was there to do? As much as I hated missing class, I wanted to regain my energy. People were going to be talking and staring a lot today. Better to stay away from it all.

"We can ask permission to leave campus and go shopping," she suggested.

"I don't feel like shopping right now," I shook my head.

She gasped, "Rosemary!" she brought a hand up to her chest. "Shopping is everything!" she claimed and chuckled.

"For you it is but not for me," I corrected.

Obviously not agreeing with it, she shrugged, "We can go get manicures," she held her hands up.

"Or we can work on your missing assignments, which we've been slacking on," I reminded. I convinced the teacher to let Violet make up for them. Promised to help her turn them in.

She scratched the back of her head, "That's boring though," she frowned.

"But it's to get a better grade," I defended. After all, she's the one who asked me for help first.

"Well yeah but I want to do something fun with you," her arms slipped around my neck. My fingers intertwined behind her back. Rocked her a bit.

"Like what?" I asked but still gave it some thought too. Honestly, there wasn't much to do here. Whether we would be given permission to leave, who knew.

"I don't know," she shrugged. I kissed her cheek, getting a smile from her. "What do you like to do?" she asked.

"I'm not sure," Violet laughed at that.

"How could you not know?" her eyebrows connected in curiosity.

"I don't know," I shrugged. That was weird, right?

"Let's just go
