Rosemary's P.O.V

A distraught Violet sat at the end of her bed. Giving her my undivided attention, I pulled up a chair to sit directly in front of her. Hopefully we were going to have better luck this time than earlier when we argued. I wasn't sure if she was so shaken up because of what happened with the jerks or because of our fight. Either way, I didn't like to see her this distressed. All I wanted to do was wrap my arms around her and tell her that everything was going to be okay.

"Are you sure you want to talk right now?" I wanted her to feel at ease.

All the confidence in the world was in her when she walked into the arcade room. Made it be known who ran this school. Looking like the baddest chick to exist. Too overwhelmingly gorgeous. Fast forward, she was in the same outfit but tensed up. Looking vulnerable. Demonstrating that she had feelings and insecurities like everyone else. Just like everyone else, she felt fear too.

Violet nodded, "I don't want to fight anymore," her voice was quiet, coming out almost as a mumble. My heart broke to see her like this. Patiently, I stayed still and waited for her to continue at her own pace. I didn't want to make any sudden movements and trigger her to change her mind. "I know I started all of it and it was for the dumbest reason," she fully on admitted. In shock, my eyes flickered. "I acted very immature," to my surprise, she added. With every word, her voice became more audible.

Too good to be true, I questioned, "Am I being pranked?" I wandered my eyes around the room, expecting to see Rachel and Lucy jump out to attack me with pillows or water balloons. What if this was all part of her original plan to punish me.

Who was I kidding? Violet was visibly shaken up. I believed she could act but to this degree? I don't know. No way was she pretending.

Perfectly expecting that reaction from me, she stifled a laugh and smiled slightly. Making my heart flutter in my chest. "Rosemary, I've been acting really childish and stubborn all day with you and I wish I hadn't," she reassured.

"Violet, I don't like when you overreact," I stated truthfully. Yes, I didn't want to make her feel bad but this needed to be discussed. Communicated in a maturely manner. Otherwise, nothing was ever going to change. "Sometimes, it's like you can't even control it and it worries me," I explained. There were times when Violet stayed composed and tried harder to understand. Unfortunately, there were other times in where the devil evoke from within her.

Tensed up all over again, Violet's eyes narrowed down to her hands as she fidgeted with them. "It worries me too," her voice wavered. My chest clenched at the sight of that and to hear her so overwhelmed. "Rosemary... I don't know how to deal with jealousy," she confessed. I mean, I could tell that myself. "I'm not used to feeling it," she elaborated, "and it's all new to me."

My eyebrows furrowed, "Really?"

Violet nodded in confirmation, "Then you came along and I started feeling all these undiscovered emotions," her fingers intertwined to stop herself from fidgeting. She looked up through her eyelashes to meet my eyes, "I have strong feelings for you and I get scared..."

My heart started racing, "Scared of what?"

"That one day you'll realize that there's someone better and more compatible out there for you," her eyes looked down away from mine.

Better than her? Violet must have been on some heavy drugs that got her all delusional. What drug got her to the point of saying these things out loud? Violet never allowed herself to. Here she was, pouring it all out. Honestly, I loved that she was communicating her worries with me though. That let me know that she really wanted to work things out. There was a chance! Gave us somewhere to start off from.

I chuckled slightly, catching her off guard.

"Violet, where else am I going to find a pretty spoiled little brat?" I grinned to ease the tension. "A gorgeous stubborn girl who keeps me on my toes?" I scooted the chair closer to her and grabbed her hands. "Where else am I going to find the baddest chick who teaches me to stand up for myself and for the people I love and care for?" Violet smiled softly with a blush. "You amaze me every single day by the way that you're so loyal to your friends and no one really intimidates you. Yes, you get scared too. Everyone does but you don't back down," I reminded. Violet was seeming to forget of how wonderful and worthy she was. "You're a contradiction most of the time but you're real. If that makes sense," I shared a small laugh with her.

"What if you get tired of me?" Violet still worried.

Gently, I held her chin between my fingers and directed her to look me in the eyes, "Babe, I've been tired of you since the moment we became roommates," I joked. Violet cracked an amused smile. "My mind can tell me a millions things but my heart will always win. And know what?" I paused to make sure that we didn't break eye contact. "My heart will always choose you," I promised and leaned in to kiss her lips.

Softly, Violet returned the kiss. My heart fluttered warmly as tingles filled the pit of my stomach.

"Are you willing to sign a contract?" Jokingly, she asked.

I stifled a laugh, "As in marriage?"

Realizing how it sounded, Violet playfully face-palmed herself, "Okay, that came out wrong," she chuckled.

"I'm just teasing you," I chuckled. Seeing that Violet allowed herself to be vulnerable with me, I wanted to do the same. "But what if one day you come to realize that I'm boring and have nothing to offer you?" I asked. One of my fears was of one day her getting bored with me. I wanted to give her everything but what if I got too caught up in trying to make it happen? What if I lost focus? What if I dedicated a little too much time to other things and paid her hardly any attention? "What if I can never seem to fit in with your group of friends?" I asked. Rachel and Lucy were great but what about the other ones? What if I stood out way too much?

Playfully, Violet rolled her eyes and pulled me to sit next to her on the bed. "Rosemary, you're not boring, you're just dedicated and have a brain, unlike the people I'm used to," she chuckled. "You're booksmart and I find that to be very attractive," teasingly, she poked my stomach. "You have your priorities straight and have real goals," she added, making me feel good about myself. "And you don't let anyone bully you out of it. I love that about you!" she rewarded with a beautiful smile. "You have a very caring and genuine heart, something that many people I know lack," she stated. "You want to go far in life and you're determined to make it happen, no matter the difficulties. I admire you for that," she kissed my cheek, softly. My heart got all warm and fuzzy, making me smile from ear to ear. I felt the heat rush to my cheeks. Violet chuckled, "Not to mention that you challenge me and you make me want to be better," I gave me credit for it. "I'm difficult but you haven't gven up on me yet. You tell me when I'm wrong, even when I'm being stubborn. Thank you," this time, she turned my face to peck my lips.

"I feel like we both have to help each other when it comes to disagreements," I stated. "You need to be less stubborn and I need to stop avoiding things," I knew it was a bad habit but sometimes I didn't know what to do.

"Avoiding things?" Violet's eyebrows creased.

"I walk away and I shouldn't always do that," I elaborated. "Sometimes I do it because you're not calming down and I don't want to make things worse," I explained. "But there's other times when I shouldn't walk away and shouldn't push your buttons either," I was guilty of it.

"We have a lot to work on," Violet sighed longingly.

I laughed, "Yes, we definitely do!"

"I'm going to give it my all," Violet held her pinky out. Staring at it, I stifled a laugh. "Rosemary!" Stifling a laugh, she whined. "We gotta pinky promise on it," she insisted.

Amused by the whole thing, I gave my head a little shake and held my pinky out. Linking our pinkies together we promised.

Violet's P.O.V

Comfortably, Rosemary laid back on the bed, resting her head on my lap. I sat up against her headboard as I ran my fingers through her hair and massaged her head. My baby had been doing homework all afternoon and barely finished. Not to brag but this time I held back from going off on her because of her laughing hyena friends.

Rather letting my jealous issues overcome me, I offered to give Rosemary a head massage. Progress, right?

Upstairs, Lucy and Rachel were looking through the closet. Picking at clothes. To see what needed to be thrown out already. Normally, I was the one to assist but I was too busy with my beautiful baby right now. Later on, I planned on scanning the clothes and give my approval. I was gonna have to call someone to come pick it up and take it to a donation center.

Peacefully, Rosemary smiled as I massaged her temples.

"Your hands are magical," she breathed out, very much enjoying it.

Glancing upstairs to make sure that my friends were too caught up with themselves to even hear us, I leaned in and joked with Rosemary, "Your moans have told me that before," I whispered close to her earlobe. Rosemary stiffened and her cheeks turned bright red.

Rosemary fixed her head on my lap, "You're something else," nervously and shyly, she chuckled.

Shy all of a sudden? God, Rosemary loved to act like she was some perfect angel. I mean, yes, she was but not in the sheets.

Teasingly, I assured, "Trust me, you're not boring," I nibbled on her earlobe, causing her to quiver. "Thank you for all the times you've fucked me," perfectly knowing that Rosemary was going to blush like crazy, I nearly moaned into her ear. Closing her eyes, she cleared her throat and gulped down hard.

I continued the head massage. Enjoying my touch, Rosemary kept her eyes closed and smiled peacefully. Anything for my beautiful girl. I wanted to baby her and help her relax. Homework was stressful. Believe me. I finished about 90% of it. Okay, maybe minus 5%... fine, I finished 70% of it but I was going to get to the rest later. Five problems in and I needed an hour break. I don't know how Rosemary did it to finish it all in one setting.

The dorm room door opened. In panic, I pushed Rosemary's head off me. Awe my poor baby didn't expect it! I was gonna have to make it up to her later.

I tried getting up off her bed but Edgar saw my hands still in Rosemary's hair. Midway to entering the room, he stopped while holding a tray and asked, "What were you doing?" His eyebrows connected in confusion.

"Hunting down lice in Rosemary's hair," I remarked to play it off as. Somehow, I had to make him believe that Rosemary and I still hated each other.

Not knowing what to make of it, he stared at me as if I were lunatic and weird, "Violet, you're hot but you scare me sometimes," he commented and proceeded to make his way into the dorm room.

Seconds after, Nick, Melanie and Chantel barged in with more trays. Ohhh trays of fruit! I loved fruit! Glancing at Edgar's tray, he had bowls, lime and other stuff.

"You guys really went and waited for fruit?" I was surprised. This amount of fruit demanded to be waited on for at least half an hour. Knowing these dumbasses, I was shocked that they were willing to wait on it to be freshly chopped up.

As if I were hilariously absurd, they burst out laughing.

"No, we grabbed it from the counter," Nick snickered.

"Don't know who ordered it but we were there when it came out, so we took it," Melanie shrugged, nonchalantly, assuming it was perfectly okay to.

Edgar and Nick pulled a desk over to the center of the room. Everyone pulled up a chair. Needing more seating, Melanie and Chantel pushed a sofa to the desk for them to share. Not even questioning it, Rachel and Lucy started picking at the fruit. Honestly, I loved fruit and I wanted to eat it up! Rosemary looked unsure. She appeared to feel bad for even staring at it. Must have been because it originally belonged to someone else and they practically stole it.

While everyone was too busy picking at the fruit, I gestured for Rosemary to join us. Hesitantly, she made her way over. Sadly, she sat opposite from me. No one could know about us and we still had to keep up a front.

Everyone was eating fruit. Shared a tray of it. Could feed a group of 10. They were picking at their favorite and fighting about it. Being a complete fruit lover, I threatened them to back off my portion.

Separately, Edgar threw fruit in a bowl for himself. On a separate plate, he had slices of lime. Salt. Tajin and chamoy.

Intrigued, Melanie stared at his fruit and asked, "Is that spicy?"

Edgar laughed, "Not to me," he shrugged, not really elaborating. "Taste it yourself," he pushed his bowl towards her.

Questionably, Melanie stared at it. As far as it went, it looked pretty delicious to me.

Melanie shook her head, "Maybe next time," she pushed the bowl back to Edgar. "But time for the real deal," Melanie placed a bigger bowl on the desk, followed by liquor bottles. "Time to mix it up, bitches!" Biting her bottom lip, she hyped.

Excitedly, everyone cheered and started getting loud.

Pieces of fruit were thrown into the bowl. Edgar and Nick opened the bottles and poured them in. Chantel threw ice cubes in. Bags of candy were tossed onto the desk. On cue, Rachel and Lucy ripped them opened to throw them in.

Holy shit, this was going to be a wild one.

-

Zig-zagging somewhat, Melanie came back into view, "Look at what I got!" She held up one of my sleep masks

I hated when people touched my stuff.

"Can you not go through my things?" I snorted.

"Shush, it's for a good cause," she shrugged it off as. I rolled my eyes. "We're going to play a game!"

Melanie was a kinky bitch, I wondered what crazy idea got in her head.

"I'm kinda scared," Lucy stared at the sleep mask.

"Whatever it is, I go first!" Nick signed up.

"No! I will!" Shoving him aside, Chantel volunteered too.

Entertained, Melanie laughed, "We'll all have a turn!" She assured.

"Not me," Rosemary stepped away.

"I'll take her turn," Edgar offered before throwing a piece of sour candy into his mouth.

"What kind of game? Because I'm not sure if I wanna play," I was skeptical. As I said, Melanie was unpredictable at times. A blindfold was involved, so I needed more information.

"It's called guess the kiss!" She squealed, overly excited. "You'll be blindfolded and will have to guess who kissed you!"

She sold the game because everyone cheered.

Except for Rosemary, of course.

The moment Melanie described the game, I protested, "Rosemary is not playing!" In silence, everyone stared at me. As if wondering why I got so worked up over it. Lucy and Rachel discreetly motioned for me to calm down. Oh shit. "I mean who would want to kiss Rosemary's dry lips anyways, right?" I insulted as a cover up.

"You're just scared that we'll make y'all kiss," Chantel thought that was it. Oh how wrong she was. If anything, I never wanted to kiss anyone's lips besides Rosemary's.

To maintain the act up, I gagged, "I'd throw up if y'all did that!"

"And I'd pour bleach down my throat," Rosemary remarked.

"Whatever, fuck you all," Melanie grew bored. "Nick, you're first," she instructed for him to sit. A chair was pulled to the center of the room.

Anxiously, she rubbed his hands together, "Don't be afraid to get sloppy," he encouraged as his eyes were being covered.

"No peeking," Melanie warned. She pointed to Chantel to kiss him. Silently, she gagged and shook her head no. Melanie scolded her but Chantel gave no fucks.

Mischievously, Rachel to Edgar's side and tried pushing him forward. Everyone stifled a laugh. Edgar stepped back, waving his finger no. Giggling, we all insisted.

"Hey bro, they're trying to make me kiss you," Edgar ratted out. Everyone hissed at him and smacked him.

"What the fuck!" Nick was about to remove the  blindfold.

Melanie hurried to keep it over his eyes, "We were joking," she clarified. "Pucker up," she instructed. Seeing as no one wanted to kiss him, Melanie took one for the team.

They kissed.

"Melanie," confidently, Nick guessed with a grin.

"Yours truly," Melanie confirmed.

"Next!" Chantel was fuming with jealousy.

Melanie protested, "Two more are supposed to kiss him before anyone can go next."

"Nah, he's done!" Chantel took the sleep mask off him.

"Ugh!" Melanie groaned. "Rosemary is up," she decided.

What the fuck? I said Rosemary was not participating!

Rosemary retorted, "No, I'm not!"

"You're lame!" Melanie remarked. "A sexy one though," she winked at her.

I was going to rip her eyes out!

In unison, Edgar, Nick, Chantal and Melanie chanted, "Rosemary!"

"Rosemary!"

"Rosemary!"

"Rosemary!"

"Peer pressure is not cute," Rachel commented. Thank god for her!

"I got some reading to do, so I'm not playing," Rosemary stated.

"I thought you did homework already?" Lucy didn't understand.

"She's reading on Wattpad," I clarified.

"Ooh I've seen kinky shit on there!" Melanie got excited.

"You read?" Edgar was in shock.

Melanie laughed, "Chantel reads it to me."

"Um, so Rosemary is next?" Nick switched the topic back.

Fuckin' idiot.

Everyone but my best friends changed again.

"Rosemary!"

"Rosemary!"

"Rosemary!"

"No!" I couldn't take it anymore! "I'll go!" I volunteered! I was willing to sacrifice myself for Rosemary! Kissing any of these people meant nothing to me, besides they were all my friends! With Rosemary it was different though! She wasn't friends with them like I was.

"In that case, I'll take my turn!" Rosemary didn't like it.

"No! I hissed at her. "It's my turn!" I yanked the sleep mask from Chantel. Quickly, Nick stood from the chair. I sat down and put the blindfold over my eyes.

"You're not doing this!" I heard Rosemary complain.

"Fuck off!" I had to keep the act up. No way anyone was kissing my baby!

Chantel exclaimed, "The game has begun!"

I waited to feel lips one mine.

I heard footsteps approach. Suddenly, I felt lips on mine. They started off aggressively. I tried to get a good feel of them. To see if I could recognize them. I didn't kiss my best friends as such but I doubted those lips were those. I caught a scent. Kind of smelled like Melanie or Chantel. Those two were always together, so who knows!

The lips separated from mine.

"Um, either Melanie or Chantel," I guessed.

Everyone laughed.

"Fair enough," Edgar commented.

"Here goes another one," Lucy stated.

I heard people giggling. Fuckin' assholes!

Soft lips brushed on mine. Mmm, I liked the touch of those. Just as I liked it, the lips moved with mine. Stiffed laughs were heard. Dumbasses thought I wasn't going to hear. Regardless, I knew those lips perfectly!

Rosemary's beautiful and tasty lips!

But I had to remind myself that they thought I hated her.

"Eww! Rosemary!" I pushed her off and took the sleep mask off.

Everyone laughed their ass off.

"We got you!" Melanie really thought she did something.

Throwing the sleep mask off to the side, I stomped my way to my bed. Rosemary followed
