Violet's P.O.V

All of a sudden grades were important? I mean, all of sudden my parents cared about them? I was given the biggest embarrassment when my credit card got declined when I was out shopping with my friends. Other friends were with us but luckily only Lucy and Rachel witnessed it. Being the best friends that they are, they paid for my items. Technically, let me borrow the money. They said I didn't need to but I was still going to pay them back.

The credit card was temporarily closed under my father's request.

That fuckin' sperm donor!

"You can't do this to me!" I protested.

As if I were out of line, my father pressed, "You failed to keep up with your grades, so I have all right to do what I please with my money!"

"Selfish," disheartened, I remarked.

"Yes, you are!" Father retorted, like if we were little kids.

"Mom!" I complained, hoping she'd back me up.

In surrender, mom lifted her hands up, brushing it off. "Deal with it with your father."

I squinted my eyes at her. Unbelievable. The woman who birthed me was deserting me now? Call me over dramatic but I was from now on going to consider myself an orphan.

I sighed, "Dad!" I whined and turned to look at him. That's when I realized that he had snuck away. Instead of a business man, he should have been a magician. Did a hell of numerous disappearance acts throughout my life! Best trick was when he sent me out to a boarding school. I turned my attention back to my mom, "Rosemary has been helping me with homework and has helped me study for tests but I still struggle!" I explained, feeling frustrated.

"Violet, your father just wants you to have the best education," she stated.

I sighed, "All of a sudden?"

"After seeing how much effort Rosemary puts in school, he wants the same for you," she explained.

Fuckin' Rosemary. Either way, my baby's smart ass was fine as hell.

"But I'm trying! It must count for something," I didn't know what else to do. The situation was stressful and frustrating. Next to me, my mom's phone started ringing. I looked at it. The caller ID showed that it was my so called father. "Your roommate is calling," I informed.

"Violet," mom scolded me.

Father was hardly ever at home. I doubt him and mom ever spent time together. Technically, they were roommates. What they had was hardly a marriage. I don't know but I'd want to spend so much time with the one I loved. My parents were something else.

**********

Nothing else to do, I went home with Rosemary. All weekend, I was not going to have any funds. My friends wanted to pay for me but it didn't feel right. Either way, I wanted to spend my time with my baby.

My in-laws invited me over for dinner. They still didn't know about us. As far as they knew, we were getting along.

Mrs. Myles had her back towards us, so we secretly kissed. The moment she turned around, we stepped away from each other. Not going to lie, being this sneaky was a turn on. Anything involving Rosemary was a turn on, better said.

"So Mrs. Myles, what can I do?" I offered my help with dinner.

"Call me Mary," Rosemary's mom welcomed me to. "Mrs. Myles makes me feel old," she joked.

Honestly, Rosemary's parents were so young. My parents were older. Not by a huge number but they were definitely older. I think Rosemary said that they had her when they were eighteen years old. Freshly out of high school. Practically our age! How insane was that? My parents were in their mid twenties.

I chuckled, "Mary," I rephrased, "how can I help?"

Rosemary's mom instructed, "Toss the salad," she pointed to the lettuce and toppings. "It's all prepared."

Nosy like, Rosemary sneaked a peek at what her mom had gotten started on, "Yummy! Your special pasta?" Her eyes grew big and I could see how hungry she got all of a sudden.

Mary nodded, "Yes, when you told me that Violet was blessing us with her presence tonight, I just knew I had to make it," she confirmed. Mary made her way towards me as I was grabbing the salad bowl. "Not to brag but you're going to love my special creamy tomato spinach pasta!" She guaranteed.

"It's the best! No fancy restaurant you've ever been to compares to it," Rosemary backed it up.

"Speaking of! Rosemary has the magic touch to make the best garlic bread!" Mary bragged proudly.

Hmm, magic touch? I could absolutely vouch for that!

I cleared my throat, "Do you guys cook together a lot?"

Mary frowned as she glanced at Rosemary, "We used to but have not gotten the chance too often since we've registered her in Montgomery," she explained.

Rosemary added, "But we try to when I come home."

Mary smiled widely, "I enjoy our bonding time!"

How beautiful was that? A mom who actually bonded with their daughter! Something I wish I had. Instead, I only got lectured and punished when I came across my parents.

"Soooo mom, are you and dad having date night tonight?" Rosemary changed the conversation. Did I have a saddened face without realizing it? Was that why she did that? Oh fuck.

"I'm not sure yet," Mary answered.

After placing the lettuce into the bowl, I threw in the toppings and tossed the salad.

Honestly, Rosemary's family felt like home. Being here felt like a real home. Like the ones I watched in movies. Not what I had. A mansion filled with furniture but no real family. The bonding while cooking. Talking about endless topics. Laughing. Enjoying each other's company. It was all so real.

-

At the dinner table, we ate and shared a glass of wine. Well, Rosemary's parents only allowed us to have half a glass. According to them, they didn't really approve of it.

"So Mr. Myles, where do you plan on taking your wife out tonight?" I asked once they confirmed that they were going to head out after dinner.

Mrs. Myles chuckled, "Call him Ross," she allowed. "He hates feeling old too," she added.

Rosemary's dad laughed, "Well Violet, I'm going to take her to her favorite desert place," he answered.

Mary clarified, "It's just an ice cream shop."

"But you love it!" Nonetheless, Ross wanted to spoil her. Sweetly, he leaned in and kissed her temple. Seriously, that was extremely adorable! Glancing at Rosemary, I saw her admirably smiling as she watched her parents. My heart fluttered warmly at the sight of that.

How nice that they still had date nights. They were still in love. No matter the years, they still made time for each other. Something my parents didn't do or cared about. I wished they did. I used to think that people got married and then were supposed to act distant. A marriage was a more of a business deal. But I never felt it in my heart. I believed more in fairytales. In where true love existed. Way more than a business deal. A feeling.

Maybe I was moving too fast but I was feeling that with Rosemary. With her, I was believing more in fairytales.

Rosemary gasped, "Violet, you haven't even tried my garlic bread yet!" She acted hurt.

I laughed slightly, "I'll try it right now," I grabbed the bread. "Look, I'm going to try it," I took a bite. Wanting to catch my reaction, Rosemary watched me. The moment the bread went into my mouth, it felt felt like I was chewing on heaven! "It's delicious!"

The biggest smile spread across her face.

Aww! My baby was so cute! I loved making her smile!

-

In the backyard, they had a patio bed swing. When Ross and Mary left, Rosemary and I went to chill in the backyard. We sat on the swing and watched the stars. Comfortably, I leaned back in Rosemary's arms.

A blanket was over us as we snuggled up.

Rosemary kissed the top of my head, "You're so beautiful, Violet," she complimented.

Whenever I was in her arms, I felt safe and cared for.

"Really? Because in my eyes there's no one more beautiful than you," I returned the compliment.

Rosemary chuckled, "Yet everyone fights for your attention."

Did Rosemary not notice how many people eye-fucked her every single day? God damn! I had to stop myself from plotting murders every single time! She got hit on every single time. Maybe Rosemary saw it as extreme harassment but damn, it happened. People were all over her.

"Rosemary, chill," I chuckled. "Hey, I think it's cool how close your parents are," I commented.

"Sometimes they act like teenagers in love," she joked.

"That's good though!" I laughed. "A lot of parents lose love for each other and they don't have what your parents have," I explained. "You're lucky that your parents are still so in love!"

"And I hope it always stays that way," Rosemary kissed the top of my head again. "I want what they have and I won't ever settle for anything less," she stated.

Gasping, I lifted up from her and turned to make eye contact with her, "What about me?" I questioned.

"You better get your shit together and make it happen," she joked.

Playfully, I tapped her forehead. Her features scrunched up together and then she chuckled. "Rosemary!" I whined and pouted. "You're not here for me unconditionally?"

Rosemary held my chin between her fingers and pecked my lips, "As long as we're both putting 50/50 then yes," she answered. "Maybe sometimes it'll be off balance but as long as we back it up and take turns when it's needed to, then I'm all in," she explained.

Inevitably, I smiled, "I want to make it work with you," I pecked her lips. There was something that I was extremely afraid of though. "But sometimes, I get very possessive and moody. Please be patient with me when I do," I pleaded.

Rosemary leaned in and I closed my eyes. I felt her kiss my eyelid. "I only want you and as long as you're trying, I'll be here," she assured. I opened my eyes and saw her smiling. "Violet, you're beautiful inside and out," she claimed. "There's a lot that we both have to learn and I want to discover it with you," she added.

"Even when I'm acting bipolar?" I chuckled.

"Even then," she reassured with a grin.

"How do you do that?" I asked.

Her forehead creased, "Do what?"

"Make me feel like I can be myself, mess up and learn without feeling judged?" I explained.

Rosemary looked deep into my eyes, "Because I mean it and I genuinely believe that you're the most amazing person I've come across with!" she leaned in and brushed her lips with mine.

Rather parting, our lips reached for more. Tilting my head to the side, she tilted hers to the other side. I opened my lips wider, along with hers. Our lips opened wider and wider by the second. I didn't want to stop kissing her.

Before I knew it, I was kissing on her neck. I leaned in more and more until I was laying on top of her on the swing bed. Between my legs, her knee moved up and down against me. Teasingly, I bit on her neck. Laughing, Rosemary squealed and ticked my sides for me to stop.

"Rosemary! Stop!" I laughed and pushed her hands away.

"Then you stop first!" She laughed.

"Then move your leg!" I smirked.

Rosemary blushed, "You're something else!"

"Rosemary, you try to act so innocent but when we're alone, you're just as horny!" I pointed out.

Playfully, she rolled her eyes, "I have to be because of your enormous sex drive!" She teased.

I pressed my hand against her mouth to shut her up. Her eyes widened. "You act like you don't like it but you know you love it!" I corrected.

Rosemary moved my hand away from her mouth, "You give me no other option!" She argued, stifling a laugh.

"Oh please! It's not like I'm forcing you!" I stifled a laugh too.

Rosemary glanced at my lips, "I kinda like when you do," she admitted, catching me off guard.

I felt my eyes get immediately big, "Whoa?" well, this was a pleasant surprise.

Rosemary reached up and placed her hand behind my head to pull me inward for a kiss. Passionately, I kissed her and let her knee fix between my legs. Rhythmically, I moved against it. One thing I didn't understand was how good she knew how to move her leg between my thighs. It's like she knew exactly where I liked it at. Where it hit pleasurably at.

Wrapping an arm around my waist, she flipped me over so that she could be on top. I loved when Rosemary took control. As much as I loved to pleasure her, I loved when she went out of her way to pleasure me. Hitting every spot. Every touch. Making every nerve sensitive.

Playfully, I kicked her off.

"Violet!" Chuckling, she whined.

I flipped over to rest on my stomach as she tried to slip her hand into my jeans. "Leave my pussy alone!" I stifled a laugh.

Rosemary laid on my back, "I don't want to," she nibbled on my ear and managed to slip her hand into my jeans. The bed swing started to rock back and forth. "You're making it swing too much," she pointed out because I was moving too much. Teasingly, she kissed my neck.

"Rosemary," I moaned out.

"Uh huh?" She loved the teasing game.

At this point, I could not get her to stop. I didn't want her to. This was exactly what I wanted. For us to be by ourselves without having to worry about anyone else! To pleasure each other as much as we wanted without being worried of being caught.

Rosemary's P.O.V

Something was off about Violet. Hmm, I wasn't sure whether to ask her or ignore it. Be mature and ask her but what if it made it worse? What if she didn't know how to communicate? Violet was stubborn and only wanted me to give into her. I already knew her.

Yet again, if I ignored it, then that was going to piss her off too. Kinda a lose-lose situation.

Well, maybe not.

Better to give it a try than to keep going through Violet's attitude. I valued communication in a relationship, so I needed to start acting like it.

All cutely, I joined Violet on the couch and tried snuggling up with her. "Babe," I gave her one of my most charming smiles.

Flatly, she questioned, "What?" And scooted to the side for me to get off her.

"Uh..." moment to go into either a peaceful & mature discussion or a wrestling match. "Violet, you've been acting like a selfish cat lately," oh no, I accidentally chose a battle fight.

As if a wrestling match ring went off, Violet sat upward and gasped, "A selfish cat?" Her mouth dropped in disbelief.

Time to stand my ground.

"Yeah, you've been moody. Every time I try to give you attention or get it from you, you look away as you brush me off," I compared.

"Because you don't deserve any love from me right now!" She scoffed.

At this point, I had no idea of what she meant by it or what led her to make such claim.

"I'm sorry but did I do something?" I needed some elaboration. On my behalf, I hadn't done anything wrong.

Violet scoffed, "You were laughing with another bitch!"

I sighed in disbelief, "With who?"

Violet turned her back to me and crossed her arms, "When you were supposedly," she air quoted, "doing homework," she elaborated.

That's what this was about? Was she freakin' serious? This girl needed to calm down and listen to me! "Violet! We were studying and joking at the same time!" I explained since clearly, she didn't understand that both were possible.

Violet waltz back to me, "Who's funnier than I am?" Jealous, she questioned. I rolled my eyes. "Answer me, Rosemary!" She demanded as if I had to obey her. Everyone else bowed down to her but that didn't mean that I was. I shook my head no. Offended, Violet gasped, "Alright go fuck her then!"

I sighed, "Laughing with another girl doesn't mean that I want to hook up with her!" I clarified.

"But it does!" Violet argued. At this point, she was only trying to win an argument. Violet was smarter than this! Her jealousy wasn't letting her see things clearly though.

"How?" I exclaimed, feeling frustrated with the situation.

"You laughing with another girl means you like her!" She claimed, which was complete bullshit! Excuse my explicit language please.

None of what she said made sense! There was absolutely no logic to it. "I laugh with Lola all of the time, does that mean that I like her too?" I asked to put it into perspective.

Violet groaned, "She doesn't count! She's more of a vampire!"

"A blood sucking vampire!" I retorted.

"But I know she won't try to suck your neck!" Stubbornly, Violet insisted.

I sighed, "You're being delusional!" I remarked, fed up.

"I am since I'm clearly dating you!" She retorted. I sighed and rolled my eyes at that. "Since you love laughing with other girls so much then go be with them and leave me alone!" She snapped. "Go off with your little whores!"

Little whores? The girls that I studied with never tried anything with me. Wait, I was lying. One of them had but I shut it down immediately. That was a while back though. Ever since, she never tried again. By the way, it wasn't even the girl that I was laughing with. If anything, I sat further away from that one.

Out of frustration, I ran my hand through my hair and groaned, "Most of them have boyfriends!" I stated.

"Oh so on top of that, they're also cheaters now?" There was no winning against Violet.

Nothing was going to end as long as we kept going back and forth. "You're clearly not trying to compromise, so I'm leaving," I grabbed my phone and AirPods to head out.

"Don't you dare walk away from me, Rosemary!" Violet prohibited. Deja vu. It felt like we had been through this before. It made me think of when we were in preschool.

"You're not the boss of me, Violet," I reminded. She loved to think that she owned everyone but not me! One way or another, she needed to learn that she couldn't always get what she wanted by throwing tantrums.

"If you leave this room, then forget I exist!" She threatened.

"You wouldn't make it that easy to pretend like you don't exist," I snickered as I turned the doorknob.

"Oh fuck you!" I heard her say when I opened the door and walked out. "And don't come back here either!" She slammed the door.

What was she going to do? At the end of the day, I lived in that dorm room. She couldn't keep me out of it. Hopefully, she was going to calm down in a hour or so. Violet was complicated but she still had my heart and I couldn't do anything about that.

-

While I hoped for Violet to calm down, I went looking for Lola. Last thing she messaged me was that she was going to be cooking in the culinary arts classroom. Practically was a restaurant kitchen. Equipped with everything needed to cook.

The door to it was closed, so I messaged her to open the door for me.

Lola let me in.

"I thought this was locked after school hours?" I wondered how she got in.

"Yeah, what's your point?" Lola looked unfazed.

"Well, how did you get in?" I asked.

"By picking the lock," she shrugged nonchalantly and motioned for me to follow her. "I'm making spaghetti. Want any?" she offered. I looked at her setup. Marinara sauce and meatballs were in a pot while the noodles were still boiling in water.

"I'm not hungry," I shook my head no.

"Uh-oh! Wat happened now with Violet?" She figured it out.

"She got mad because I was laughing with the girls from my study group," I explained.

Lola drained the noodles, "That bitch is a jealous brat," Lola insulted.

"Hey! Don't say that," I didn't like it. Yes, Violet acted unreasonable but I didn't like to hear someone else talk badly about her.

"Shit,
