Violet's P.O.V

Time to find out who this Rosemary girl was all about. I did a little digging around and found her Instagram account. Hire me as I private investigator, I found her shit in only a few minutes.

How cute, she had a life motivational quote in her bio. Nothing about having a girlfriend- not that I cared. I scrolled through her pictures and read the captions. Her whole account basically consisted of pictures with her parents, which judging from her posts, they were very close and loved one another very much. Wow, they appeared to spend a lot of time as a family. That was nice to see. I wished I had that type of bond with my parent.

There were many flower photographs. A lot of nature. Hike adventures.

Surrounded by friends. There was even a picture with a group of friends in a highschool and the caption said something about last day with them but they they'll always remain friends.

In a few pictures, there was a girl who was always clinging on to her arm. I wondered if it was her girlfriend. Nothing else suggested to it but they looked too close. From what I could see, it was mostly the other girl squeezing her way in.

Rosemary probably wasn't even gay. I hadn't see anything in her instagram yet. I mean, yeah, my mom said we called each other girlfriends when were were little but that didn't mean anything.

Although, I did see in one of her photographs that she went to pride and had an enormous rainbow flat wrapped around her with her friends.

All I gathered from investigating her Instagram was that she loved her family, enjoyed hikes, hung out with friends and was possibly dating some average looking girl.

There was nothing about her partying. Her Instagram looked too pretty and innocent.

"I am dead," Rosemary barged into the dorm room. Immediately, I faced my phone down on the bed. Questionably as if I were up to something, she scoffed, "What are you doing?"

In panic, I stuttered, "N-nothing!"

"Th-then," she mimicked my stutter, "why are you on my bed?" She pointed out.

Dammit, I didn't even realize that I ended up at her bed. I was too caught up looking through her instagram.

"Chill. I'm not touching your cheap shit," I looked at her belongings in disgust. All an act though. Rosemary's things were cute. I was never going to admit that to her though. "Rachel lost a ring and I'm checking for it here," I used as an excused. "Maybe it got lost when her things were moved away so you could steal her spot," I threw all the blame on her as I went to my bed.

"Rachel can look for it in her new room," Rosemary was heartless. "Who knows, I could have possibly thrown it away by accident," she taunted. Disgusted by the type of person she was turning out to be, I rolled my eyes. As if hating herself for it too, she sighed, "If I see it, I'll make sure to return it," she assured.

Rosemary confused me so much.

"Whatever," I acted uninterested and looked away from her.

"You're forgetting your phone," Rosemary said, setting my heart in panic. To my bad luck, she looked at my phone screen. "Ooh! So you were stalking me!" Her mouth dropped in complete and utter shock.

Embarrassment washed over my face. Quickly, I jumped off the bed and snatched the phone back from her. Wanting the ground to swallow me whole, I covered my face with my hand.

"Don't get too excited, it's not what it looks like!" I argued. "Your shit popped up as people you might know," I lied, which wasn't too far fetched. "I was bored and wanted a good laugh, so I looked at your dumb Instagram," acting uninterested, I shrugged it off. "But I got sleepy looking through it instead," I yawned to make it more believable.

"Uh huh," Rosemary wasn't buying it. Skeptical, she eyed me with squinted eyes. "You know, you could have just asked me for it instead of wasting time on desperately searching for it," she offered.

I gagged, "Eww, why would I fuckin' want to follow you?"

"Because you have a crush on me," annoyingly, she grinned cheekily.

In shock that she actually said that, I gasped. What the fuck went through her head? I could not believe the nerve! It caught me off guard. Nervously, my heart beat increased rapidly. My cheeks were getting warmer. No one had ever so confidently made such assumption before. Anxiously, my palms got sweaty.

"You're delusional!" I snorted. "Go see the nurse to get checked out," I advised. I just couldn't with this girl!

Rosemary let out an amused laughed, "No, I'm perfectly sane," so she claimed. "I'm just pointing out the obvious," she insisted with her cute yet annoying cheeky grin.

"Now you're just sounding like a conceited dumbass," I remarked. All while trying to look cold from the outside and not like the nervous mess I was inside. So far she was winning though because she was the one smiling and getting a kick out of it while I was the one freaking out. Ugh! How the fuck could she have this affect on me?

"Whoa, don't project your feelings onto me," mockingly, she winked.

"Fuck too!" I groaned. I couldn't stay calm with her. "You think you're so smart! Don't you?"

"I know I'm smart," she stated, confidently. I rolled my eyes at that. "I think that you think that I'm cute," she went back to it.

What the fuck did she want from me?

"Bitch I just met you," I stated in case she forgot.

"A crush can happen instantly," she argued.

"Oh please," I sniggered.

"Plus didn't your mom say we've been knowing each other since preschool?" Grinning because it was another point to her favor, she recalled.

"My mom lies a lot," I was not accepting it.

"Maybe," she shrugged. "There's no way I could call someone like you my girlfriend."

It bothered me to hear her say that. Not that I'd want to date her or anything but I couldn't lie about being intrigued by her and thinking that she was gorgeous.

Rather showing those hurt feelings, I scoffed, "You'd be lucky to!" I looked her up and down and made a face in disgust. "I feel bad for you, anyone after me has been and will be a downgrade," I mocked. "I'm the best you've ever had," cutely, I smiled and shrugged my shoulders.

As if I were spitting stupidity, Rosemary laughed sarcastically, "Actually, I've dated very beautiful girls," she claimed. Eww.

"Average, I would say," I disagreed.

Rosemary tilted her head to the side as she crossed her arms loosely, "How would you know?" She stared at me, questionably.

From looking at her instagram but I didn't want her to know that I paid that much attention to it. "Like I said, everyone else is a downgrade after me," I found that to be a nice save.

"You stalked every inch of my instagram, didn't you?" She challenged.

"Is that you acknowledging that they're all average?" I raised an eyebrow at her and smirked.

Rosemary rolled her eyes, "You're too full of yourself," she remarked. I let out a mocking laugh. "I'm going to change," she started heading upstairs. "And don't you dare sneak a peek," she warned, stilling being a smartass.

"Yeah, I'm not trying to go blind!" I remarked as she almost reached the top of the stairs.

Thank god that she dropped the subject! What the fuck was I thinking leaving my phone on her bed? How fuckin' stupid could I be? Better not ask Rosemary or she'd have a whole essay response.

Rosemary could say whatever she wanted but I did not have a crush on her! I hardly even knew her! Barely met her today! I was curious about her but I definitely did not have a crush on her! No one could catch my interest tat easily! Especially not someone as awful and bad mannered as her!

Rosemary's P.O.V

First night at Montgomery and I thought I could peacefully get ready for bed but Rachel was over at the dorm room. Her, Lucy and Violet were getting ready for some private party? What the heck? They were upstairs in the bathroom applying make up and picking out dresses. As if they were going to the club.

Were they planning on having a sleepover and pretend to be clubbing or what? They were going overboard with this. What a bunch of weird rich girls.

One by one, the girls walked down the stairs.

First: Rachel.

Second: Lucy.

Third but not least and definitely most beautiful: Violet.

My mouth dropped and I could have sworn I almost drooled if it wasn't because I reminded myself to close my mouth when I saw Violet. On her own, she was mesmerizingly beautiful but in front of me, walked an absolute goddess. The mini emerald green, velvet, and corset dress complimented her figure too perfectly.

Earlier when she bragged about me downgrading, I pretended to disagree but in reality, I had never seen anyone as beautiful as her. Too bad that she was a conceited and bratty bitch.

Though, I liked that she looked up my Instagram. Someone as popular and gorgeous as her took her time to look me up? Did I catch her eye? I teased her about her having a crush on me but I was just trying to catch her bluff or at the very least, annoy her.

I felt like there was more to Violet than meets the eye... or at least I hoped so. Maybe I was just fooling myself because I thought she was too darn beautiful.

"Close your mouth, it a fly is going to fly into it's home," Violet remarked, gaining laughs from her friends.

"Sorry, I'm just in shocked. I didn't know it was Halloween yet. I love your scary costumes," I fired back.

Rachel and Lucy gasped as they looked at their best friend, Violet.

Violet's jaw clenched for a second, "How are you surprised? You probably dress like it's Halloween everyday! I saw what you were wearing when you came in today!" she retorted. I opened my mouth to say something but Violet uninterrupted, "I don't wanna hear it!" She held her hand up for me to stop. "You stay here, lock the door and don't draw too much attention," she instructed.

"Yes, your highness," I jokingly bowed. "But may I ask, where are you going?" I questioned since I was her babysitter.

"None of your business," Violet shooed me away with her hand.

"I think your parents would think otherwise," I moved to stand directly in front of her.

"What is she taking about?" Rachel asked.

Violet threatened me with her eyes to not tell the truth.

I grinned cheekily. Violet begged me with her eyes this time. Oh poor little Violet.

"I'm her new babysitter," I caught them up to date. In my defense, if they were truly her best friends, then they weren't going to make fun of her and be supportive.

This was a test.

"She's your babysitter?" Rachel's voice squealed.

Violet face palmed herself before turning to Rachel, "I was going to tell you guys later," she looked like she was about to cry all over again. "My dad hired her to tutor and watch after me," she explained.

"That's why she's here and took over Rachel's place?" Lucy had a ooh face expression, as if it all made sense.

Violet shook her head no, "It happened when my parents came over earlier," she clarified.

Rachel walked up to Violet, "Girl, you better not cry right now," she chuckled. "We're gonna go to this party and have the time of our lives," she encouraged. She tapped her fingers underneath Violet's eyes as if cleaning her up, "There's no time for crying. We'll take care of this tomorrow but tonight, tonight we're drinking until we black out," she chuckled along with Violet, seeming to be helping her.

Surprisingly, she appeared to be a good and supportive friend. Although, I didn't agree on the drinking.

"We're already late as it is, so let's go," Lucy rushed.

Violet sniffled and smiled, "The night is young," she stated, which it really wasn't. It was about to be 11pm.

Did we not have the same time?

Sighing, I went to stand in front of Violet again when she tried walking out, "You know I can't let you leave, right?" How much was I getting paid again? This should have been considered after hours. I should have been sleeping by now. I needed to get paid for overtime.

Violet gave me the middle finger, "Fuck you!" Apparently, she had to say it verbally too.

The girls walked around me.

Mr. Delaney didn't specify on how I was supposed to stop her. Technically, that was his fault. I could not put a hand on her. I had no consent.

Yet again, I could not stay here and do nothing.

-

Unaware that I was toning to go clubbing at my new boarding school, I didn't exactly pack for the occasion. I left all of my going-out clothes at home. I tried my best to put something together.

First night here and I was already in a situation.

For the amount that Mr. Delaney was paying me, I had to make sure that Violet was safe. Especially to keep her out of trouble. If anything, I had to protect everyone else from her. That's what I gathered from her parents.

By listening to small talk among the seniors, I heard something about the yoga room. Something private. Everyone appeared to be sneaking over there, so I did the same. Everyone who was dressed was heading there. That must have been the place where Violet went to!

No one could be out in the hallways after hours, so I had to sneak my way. Being new and all, I was getting lost. Only made my way to it by following people who appeared to be going there.

At the entrance of the yoga room were two young guys. Appeared to be freshmen. Even held walkie talkies and communicated through them even though they were right next to each other. What the heck? Sometimes the voices were different though. Maybe they had other accomplices watching other hallways and areas of the school?

I walked right up to the entrance but the two freshmen blocked my way.

"We've never seen you before," they pointed out.

"Maybe because it's my first day?" Duh.

They took off their wannabe secret security glasses and eyed me as their mouths dropped. They exchanged a look and grinned at each other.

"They weren't exaggerating, you really are that hot!" One of them commented.

I shook my head slightly in disbelief and rolled my eyes.

"Come in! Come in!" The other guy pushed his friend away to grant me entrance. The both bowed down to me as I walked past them. They were weird. Of course they were little freshmen boys.

The moment I walked into the yoga room, my eyes grew wide open! Half naked people danced and ran all over the place. Along with fully clothes people, of course. Squeezing through the crowd, I had to escape people who were grinding against each other and tried pulling me in. Off to the side, they played strip tease poker. Nothing that I was interested in. Oh I came upon a game that I had played before, beer pong! Although, they appeared to be removing pieces of clothing instead. Oh, strip beer pong. That's one version I hadn't seen. Other games that I didn't recognize were being played. In another area, people sniffed white lines. That better have been salt or sugar as a challenge!

Oh no! I wanted out of here!

Ugh but I had to find Violet first! She needed to be away from all of this!

In another corner, people smoked and hit dabs.

A loud crowd cheered, appearing to be taking shots. Looking over, I spotted Violet as one of them. Quickly, I made my way to them, I had to avoid people wanting to grind against me. People wanting to hand me drinks. Trying to pass me pills. To everything, I waved my hands no and ran past them!

"Violet! What the heck? We need to go back to the room!" I tried pulling her.

"Whoa!" A guy pulled me away from Violet and against himself. "Come make a movie with me!" His hand slapped my butt cheek.

Demanding my personal space, I kneed him in the balls, "Get off me!"

When he bent down down and squealed in agonizing pain, I backed away.

Another girl stepped up, "What movie, asshole? You look like you cum fast! If anything, it'll be a gif!" After insulting him, she grabbed me by the hand and pulled me away from the scene.

Once away from the trouble, I expressed my appreciation, "Thank you!"

The girl laughed, "Nick is a disgusting and horny asshole, so it was my pleasure!" She assured.

"Either way, no one else did anything other than you!" I was immensely thankful.

The girl waved it off, "That's because everyone is too busy minding their own business! That or getting wired up!" She chuckled. "Everyone here basically goes by their own rules," she described, which I completely believed by now. "I'm only here to see them act as fools and laugh," which she did.

"I don't get it!" I had to shout over the music. "How do they get away with it? How is this possible?" I expanded my arms out, motioning to everything.

"It has always been like this!" she stated. "I don't know who started it but for generations, this has always been happening!" She added. What the heck? Montgomery? This was supposed to be the most prestigious private school!

"But how do they not get caught?" I was blown away.

The girl laughed, "Freshmen boys are on the lookout and keep Mr. Hastings away," she explained.

"Who's Mr. Hastings?" I wondered.

"He watches over us," she answered. "Well, he makes sure everything is kept under control," she elaborated. "After curfew, he roams the hallways to make sure that no one is out and about," she added, which helped a lot.

"It doesn't look like he does a very good job at it," I pointed out.

The girl shrugged, "Well, shit gets done behind his back."

"I honestly didn't expect any of this when coming here," I was disappointed.

"No one from the outside world does," she laughed. "Anyways, I'm Lola," she held her hand out for me to shake.

Traumatized, I stared at her hand. Could I trust her? So far, no one had shown me that I could. Everyone acted out and did their own shit. All I had seen so far was people acting out in class and getting drunk.

However, this girl appeared to be different from every everyone else. I wasn't sure whether to take a chance or not. Regardless, I needed a friend here and so far, she seemed like my best bet. With time, I was going to find out if I made the right choice or not.

"I'm Rosemary Myles," I formally introduced myself and shook her head.

Lola laughed, "I already knew that," she found it to be amusing. "I guess I'll give you my last name too," she joked. "I''m Lola Di'lance," she formally introduced herself.

"Ay! Ay! Ay! Ay!" The crowd chanted.

Curious, I turned to them and saw a girl grinding against a guy. It was that one girl from class. I believed her name was Melanie. Also that one prick, Nick. Facing him, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him, which led to a make out session in the middle of the crowd. Uncomfortable by it, I looked away.

Seductively, Melanie ripped his button shirt open and slid her hands up and dow his bare body. Liking it, he watched her every move and pulled her in close to kiss her. His hands over to her ass to press her against himself. They grind against each other on the dance floor.

As things began to heat up between them, I looked away and searched for Violet. Where the hell was she? Last time I saw her, she was taking shots. I looked over at the same direction. With another crowd, I daughter her taking more shots.

I hurried over to her, "I'm taking you back to the dorm room!"

At the sight of me, Violet cheered, "Rosemary is here!" the crowd followed her lead and cheered. As well as her friend,
