Ch 45 | Jimin's melancholy

Tears are the words,
the heart can't say

The walls were plain white, marble white. It reflected a perfect, clear view of me and Jungkook whilst passing by.

I never would've thought there would a spy-like, security room.

The gigantic, dim room —was filled with high-tech computers and every desk contained around 10 people —computer science engineers.

They were all grouped in teams. Each team had a specific job to do.

They went by the name 'Santa Maria', it consisted of four main people.

All employed under, Jungkook's company. They were extremely intelligent and hard-working people.

They were the main group dealing with this. Because Jungkook has an automatic link with the government he is able to acquire special software and computers.

"So what exactly is happening?" I whispered to Jungkook, looking in wonder at the people typing away codes.

Jungkook stood in all his glory, his hands in his pocket. He could pass as a bad boy rather than a businessman right now.

My eyes were so agitatedly trapped in his daze that I forgot my surrounding for a milli-second. His hair was rather messy, one of his ears had an earring —and damn! Why haven't I noticed that before?

Maybe because he never bothered to wear it?

I know as annoying as I sound. He's just too easy to get distracted from —in any situation.

His mesmerizing green eyes, his cute little cheeky beauty mark hidden under his bottom lip. Every time, it took my breath away.

And I question?

How can such a beautiful human being actually exist?

Being called the 'beast' for nothing?

The noun itself comes under the supernatural category. His beauty is surreal and out of this world.

"I'm very happy to explain it to you my love, but if your eyes wander at me like that—" he gruffly whispered, with a dark shadow evident in his eyes.

I gulped, a blush appearing in my cheeks.

"N-no, I- just explain Jungkook" I whispered harshly, shaking my head to rid the thoughts.

How awfully obsessed can I be?

He smirked evilly licking his lower lip, with a side look he turned around. His hands still in his pocket. He took his time answering.

"What Santa Maria will do now, is create a barrier. A simple barrier against the viruses the guy had inserted in the USB he gave you" he started off fully knowledgeful of the situation.

"Those clueless idiots hoped that once inserted in my computer, the viruses will spread like wild-fire, slowing down the system and hack into the central system —this will lead to an automatic lockdown of every device in the building" —what the heck, this process sounds really hard.

"Then how will a simple barrier help, if the viruses slow down the system?" I asked confused.

"It's called a 'trap' sweetie" he spoke with his velvety voice.

He took his phone out, "just don't worry about the technology. You're coming with me now" he held my hands pulling me with him.

The people were left behind working. They did not spare us a glance. Seems like the technician department is serious on their work.

"Where we going?" I squeaked a question.

"Breaking into heaven"

I laughed at his silly joke speeding up with him.

"I'm being serious" I intervened.

Well, I'm trying to be.

"I'm opening a position as a co-manager next to my office —basically to handle all the shits–"

"Language" I cute him off sweetly with a smile.

He rolled his eyes, forcing himself to shut off those words from his mouth.

"—a meeting right now to hire them. We'll meet them one by one —it will take around 2 hours" he said.

We were in front of the conference room, it was basically a glass room. Inside, consisted of a table with a chair —which I guess should be Jungkook's.

"We?"

He turned to me before opening the doors, "yes, we. You're gonna decide as well —help me to choose the perfect candidate for the job" he smirked giving me a cheeky wink as he went inside.

I felt a breath being stuck in my mouth —if that's even possible.

I went inside, and for the past-time, we organized their CVS and documents in order. Soon the first person came in.

Jungkook went serious mode. It reminded me the time I met him, however, weirdly, my wasn't in this glass room. It was in his office.

Hm? How weird.

He wore hard look, cold eyes. And beyond sexy— scratch that —I mean very manly. I hope I'm not blushing or seeming flustered.

He rolled his shirt up fixing his tie, with a swift he took a pen from the desk playing with it in his hands.

And almost immediately, he became that heartless CEO everyone describes.

"Name?" He asked.

Tone so cold and void of emotion.

Although I felt weird, like buzzings in my stomach. For the poor girl, it was different.

"Uh- K-Kenji. Kim Kenji" she stuttered. I observed her hands, she kept rubbing them –trying to clean away the sweat.

Every now and then between the questions asked she would breathe rather loudly as if gasping for more oxygen. Poor girl.

I could say that I needed to grab oxygen with my hands and insert it in my lungs.

My hunger for oxygen can never be more when I'm with Jungkook.

He just makes it important to use oxygen in my everyday life.

"You can go" Jungkook exclaimed plainly.

I guess she's not suitable to be the co-manager. Aw poor girl, she looked like she worked so much for this.

So me being sweet, I asked her a question for her own personal reasons. Just to reassure her and make her a little bit more comfortable.

"Ms. Kim, why did you specifically choose the Jeon Enterprise company?" I asked her with a smile.

Jungkook did not say anything, but I could see a sly grin at me. He probably loved me to take the lead in his work as well.

The girl, however, did not notice the grin.

"I- I, it's nothing, special ma'am. I wanted to start here knowing it's a worldwide, and internationally very famous —in many varieties of course. The company is strict and up-straight is probably the best for me, beginning my journey from a young age" she said confidently.

See all you need is a smile and a softer tone.

I quickly checked her personal document, she was a 24-year-old woman.

It made sense because she was doing her degree and then she trained to negotiate. Maybe, she should've applied to be a negotiator.

She's well... older than Jungkook.

God the irony, it almost made me laugh. It's funny how half the population doesn't know Jungkook's age but are very aware of his cold behavior and godly looks.

"Well thank you Ms. Kim, if you receive the position we'll email you by tomorrow" she stood up bowing at us.

"I don't like her" Jungkook spoke like a kid.

I rolled my eyes tapping his shoulder before the next came in.

"Jungkook" I warned harshly, obviously in a whisper.

For the rest, he replied with either an "I don't like her" or "she's annoying" or "she's weird" basically a list of unfortunate rude opinions of Jungkook.

Typical Jungkookie.

It was seriously giving me a headache. I've been standing here for 2 hours and this kid does not like anything.

Either their looks, voice, clothes —what does Jungkook like?

I guess I have to now make my voice.

"What do you even like?" I asked briefly rubbing my forehead.

He sat back putting the tip of the pen in his mouth. He stared at me through his lashes with a cute smile.

"You"

"Uh- next please" I yelled trying to ventilate some air on me.

A faint chuckle was heard by Jungkook. He's is seriously teasing me during this important interview.

A girl came in, she wore a pink dress. Formal yet classy. Her hair was done wavy and let down with a hairband.

"Hi! I'm Eun-Kyung!" She said in a high pitched voice. She grinned with a friendly expression.

Jungkook looked already annoyed as if he was almost cringing. Gosh, he hates everyone. I wonder if he had friends in high school or college —excluding the woman.

"I did not ask your nam-"

"-tell us about your education?" I cut in.

Obviously not letting Jungkook finish his rude sentence.

"Oh, I went to Gangnam Official Business college and got my degree. Later I worked in BigHit, last year when you sold it to Kim Seok-"

"Ms. Eun, I'm not asking for my past history of selling my companies. A simple question was asked to you –so stay in line with the answer" he warned in an angry tone.

His eyes went almost dark, he seriously felt annoyed.

It was at the end of the interview, she was the last person. I can understand all the works and pile upon his shoulder.

I guess he's just tired. Poor Kookie, he needs some sleep. I'll make sure of that later.

The girl gulped nodding her head violently.

"Sorry, I-uh I just happen to talk a lot," she apologized in a whisper.

"So annoying" Jungkook muttered under his breath. I rolled my eyes invisibly palming my forehead —thank god she did not hear it.

"What key things do you need in order to obtain the position as a co-manager?" I continued asking since Jungkook did not want to speak.

For the most part, the girl, Kyung answered all of them perfectly and in flow with the question.

She was very confident in her answers.

"Ms. Lee, I heard you were a personal secretary before how comes you were able to change your position at a higher level?" She asked out of nowhere.

Uh-, this girl sure is nosy.

Before Jungkook could say anything I beat him to it.

"If I recall Ms. Eun manners are also one of the first and key things with being a co-manger. I guess I have failed to point your mistake to your previous answer" I said in a serious tone.

I'm not angry at her, but she must keep a formal attitude. The girl is 24 for god's sake.

And again older than Jungkook.

"I'm sorry" she said in a soft tone looking down.

Sigh.

Aw, poor girl.

She's just being curious. There's nothing wrong with that.

"How about we stop here. We did finish the questioning. We'll send you an e-mail but tomorrow if you get hired" I fished off with a smile as she got up to leave.

"Thank you for having me today! I hope I am up to your standards president" she bowed at Jungkook, fully 90 degrees. And then left with a cute wave.

Jungkook clicked his tongue after she left, he sent a cold glare at the door in which she left.

"Such a nosy pig" he grumbled getting up, "I don't like her, she's so fucking annoying. A stupid-"

"Jungkook it's rude to speak behind people's back" I warned helping him with his tie.

He looked down at me, our nose almost touching as he pulled his face closer to mine. He recently became, very touching.

Not that I'm disliking it. I'm just, he seriously needs to consider my oxygen intake.

"Whatever" he rolled the words like a child who did not get their favorite candy. "I don't like any of them. Let's not hire-"

"No we will hire, even though the last girl was a little annoying she was very nice and answered all the questions perfectly. Her grades and high and her degree also" I said trying to protect the girl virtually.

He huffed laying his head on my shoulder, "fine but call her college and ask them for a proof of her degree. I don't hire fake rats in my company"

"Sure"

I touched his cheek, grazing my thumb softly. His skin was so beautiful and just fresh and spotless of any spots. Hell even, the cut in his left cheek made him look so —badass and so damn appealing.

My vocabulary on him can go to the extent of just a whole novel on his looks.

For the fact, he is just so mesmerizing.

Did I fall for his look?

That's a yes and no.

If you fall you're supposed to get injured or break however, he picked me up the moment I fell for him.

The moment my heart fell for him, he picked it up —reciprocating the feeling, the emotion.

"I want to kiss you sweetheart" he whispered touching my lips.

He looked at me, a pool of lust and love hiding the green orbs in his eyes. They resembled the sinning green from hell, the green that fell from heaven. He took my breath away, my hands automatically went to his shoulders.

I gulped trying to take the lead at this moment.

"I promise, later, later you can please your own desires. Just not now Kookie" I murmured softly. As if I was speaking to his child self again.

I can now see, just how vulnerable he become with me.

"Promised" he reminded cutely.

He's so damn cute

•••

"He is making this so damn difficult!"

"Dad can you just forget about this stupid hatred you have towards Jungkook. He is a powerful man, not an idiot to the slightest, he's smart very cunning and sharp with his surrounding. He is going to fool you in the end" Jimin tried to reason his father.

No Jimin is not a bad person. He was just lost, heartbroken.

He had feelings. He was up to the test, to finish his sentence in jail.

The poor boy wanted his father's affection. Nothing much, he did not dare to ask for more.

"Shut up boy!" his father bellowed, his hands fisted as veins looked like it was going pop any moment.

His father gritted his teeth, soon followed with a cruel dark laugh.

"Stay in jail my boy, I don't care. I'm just giving him back the fucking brick he threw at my company. For trashing my business! I'll finish this motherfucker" his father spoke in utmost hatred, anger.

Such a tempting emotion.

Hatred.

There is no prize worth the corruption of your soul; hate brings only pain and the cycles of destruction upon us all.

Hate colors the soul. It spreads throughout the entire system, shutting down all other feelings, and becoming central to the life and the intent of the person.

"Dad" Jimin called, almost broken.

His voice held an unraveling melancholy and a broken tear of his sadness.

His father stood up, ignoring Jimin, and walked out.

"When will you get it, that you'll never defeat Jeon Jungkook" his soft whisper remained locked in the cell.
