3rd person's pov.

"Why are you trying to have Kelly Joseph killed?! That was not a part of the plan?!" Leonardo Russo barked at the woman on the other end of the line.

"Change of plans, Leonardo." The dark skin beauty said with a little humor in her voice. "What's the matter, Leonardo, are you falling for that little tramp?" She asked, sarcastically. "You've only met her once."

"It's not about that, Whitney. She's the one who is going to help me to get to Marco. She's his only weakness." Leonardo replied and sat on his desk.

"Oh, please. There are other ways that you can kill Marco. You will be the king when your sons and nephew are dead. You need to start using your brain and not your dick to think." She spat as her chauffeur pulled up in the driveway.

She heard Leonardo sigh on the other end of the line.

"Killing her was never part of the plan, Whitney." He said to her.

"Leonardo, why are you so fucking hard to understand. I said change of plans. Either you're with it or against it. If my husband was still here, he wouldn't want you to go against me." She said with an evil smirk on her beautiful face.

"Fine," Leonardo mumbled in a defeated voice.

"Lovely because I want to see the look on Marco's face when I tell him that I was the one who had his precious little so-called queen killed. Marco Russo is going to pay dearly for taking away the only person that I ever love." Whitney said promisingly.

"Do you think they know that you're on to them?" She asked him.

"No, I doubt that. Those three motherfuckers are going to find out when it's too late. By then, I'll have all of them killed and I'll be the new king." He bragged.

"That's lovely, I'll talk to you later." She hung up and waited for the chauffeur to come and open her side of the door.

Turns out it wasn't Mildred who tried to kill Kelly. Mildred was on sick leave from work. She's been in the hospital for a few weeks. Her daughter told Luca that she was battling colon cancer. I never even realized that she was absent here. I've known Mildred since I was a teen. She used to be one of my mother's housekeepers back then. She was an introvert and not one of the world's friendliest persons but she wouldn't hurt anyone, especially not Kelly.

I had questioned all of the kitchen staff trying to get some information from them and also their whereabouts at the time that Kelly was in the steam room and also the ones who were working in the kitchen days before Kelly got sick. I fired the innocent ones and only left the ones who couldn't get their story straight. They were all locked up in one of the cells down in the basement until I decided to blow their heads off.

Kelly had gotten better and gone back to work at the hospital. I had to step her protection up a notch to ensure that no one was able to hurt her regardless of where she was. We haven't been talking much to each other. I checked on her occasionally to ensure that she takes the medications on time because she would sometimes forget to take them on time and to also see how she was doing. I was hoping that she wouldn't move out but I wasn't going to try and stop her anymore if she decides to leave.

To be honest, you can never force someone to love you or be with you if they didn't want to.

A day later..

"Bitch, why do you want Kelly dead?!" I yelled at the traitor who was none other than Margaret.

I saw her on the video footage pouring the paraquat into the food that she was preparing for Kelly.

"Mr. Russo, I had no choice, sir. I was blackmailed into doing it." She said as her hands shook.

"Who blackmailed you into doing it?!" My voice echoed throughout the room.

"A woman, sir, she said that if I didn't do it she was going to inform the police where my son was hiding. My son is innocent. He was framed for murder by his ex-girlfriend." She confessed.

I didn't buy it.

"What is this woman's name? Where is she from? Why does she want my queen dead?" I questioned her as I sat on a chair.

"She said that her name was Amanda Ross. I don't know where she's from." She choked out. "She said that you took someone away from her and you were going to pay. She wanted Ms. Joseph dead."

I looked at her with a stoic expression on my face. "Who did she say I took away from her?"

She shook her head in fear. She was an old woman with grey hair and freckles.

"She didn't say," She responded.

"What does this woman look like?"

"She's short, petite, she's black and she has a tattoo of a butterfly on her left wrist." She told me.

Luca and Lorenzo stood there watching her suspiciously.

I texted Adriano and told him to run the name, Amanda Ross in the database and see if there's a match.

"Was this Amanda Ross alone when you met with her?" I asked, staring at her.

"Yes, she was."

An hour later, Adriano texted back saying that there was no match.

I was extremely upset with this old bitch.

"You're lying, bitch! There is no one in this country named Amanda Ross that matches that description of the person that you gave me!" I barked at her and drew my gun.

"I'm telling you the truth, Mr. Russo. That's the name that she gave me." She uttered with her head hanging down.

I cocked my gun and stared at her. "I need to find this woman. So, you better give me more information about her, or I won't hesitate to blow your fucking head off." I warned her.

"Sir, I told you everything that I know. I don't know anything else about her." She stated quietly.

"That's not the answer that I want to hear, bitch!" I pulled the trigger and shot her in the right arm.

She cried out and pleaded with me not to kill her.

"Is there anyone else here who's working with you?" I asked.

"No," She barely whispered as she moaned in pain.

"How did you erase the video footage?" I demanded.

"I drugged the men and when they fell asleep I snuck inside the security room and erased it." She confessed.

I was a bit surprised at her revelation.

I ordered the bitch to repeat the description of the woman so that Lorenzo could sketch that mystery woman. I had to find that woman and I had to kill her. Kelly's life was still in danger because whoever that bitch was, she was still out there somewhere.

"Luca, what do you think?" I asked.

I always trusted my brother's judgment.

He gave it a little thought before replying to me. "It's one of two things, Fratello, either this bitch is lying or that slut gave her a fake name. I think she's telling the truth." He said to me.

I nodded at him. "What do you think, Lorenzo?"

Lorenzo stopped the sketching and looked at me and then Luca. "I think she's not telling us everything." He simply said.

"I swear, I'm telling you everything that I know." She said in a trembling voice.

"I'm stepping out. Keep this bitch here." I told them as I pointed to Margaret. "I'm going to let Kelly decide what she wants me to do with this bitch."

They both nodded in agreement.

I exited the basement and went upstairs to take a shower before Kelly got home from work. We were still unable to track my father down but we're not giving up until he's fucking dead.
