Many thoughts run through your head as you walk home. Should you have said yes to dinner at Jotaro's house? Should you have said yes to hanging out with them? That way they wouldn't have been alone like it was a date. You place your hands on your face and exhale loudly. You're stressed, you feel confused and many emotions mix inside of you from the events that have occurred recently. Your relationship with Jotaro is complicated to say the least, yet you always felt a slight connection between you two. You guessed Jotaro didn't feel the connection at all.

The next day you arrive at school a little early to get some reading done for english. Sitting in the library in the morning was somewhat peaceful from how quiet it was, reading a book and just waiting to start the day. You still felt really bummed about Jotaro going out to eat with Elena and had thoughts of them starting to date and then you never being able to hangout with Jotaro anymore. You tried so hard to get those thoughts out of your head, you thought things like-

who cares? it's not like he likes me back.

But you knew these were lies, you did have somewhat of a relationship, even though it hasn't reached the surface yet, you feel it's there. You become distracted from your reading from these thoughts and go back to the beginning of the chapter and try to start again.

"Excuse me?" You hear a male voice. You lift your head and look up at a boy near you. He wears a fresh new uniform and has really nice brown hair and blue eyes.

"Sorry to bother you, but I'm trying to find the books about insects... I can't find them, do you know where they would be?" He speaks quietly. You grin softly and close your book.

"Sure, I can show you." You stand up and look up at him slightly. This boy is a good height, probably 6'1, if that. He is definitely new since he has an Italian accent.

You lead him over to the section of books that includes animals, insects, and any other living creature in existence really. He smiles once he sees all of the books.

"Wow, thank you so much. I'm Nicola by the way..." He brings his hand out a little towards you. You shake his hand gently.

"I'm Y/N, are you one of the foreign exchange students from Italy?" You speak quietly. He nods.

"Yeah, I'm from Venice." He smiles. You widen your eyes a bit.

"Oh wow, that's awesome." You nod as you speak.

"You're very beautiful, Y/N..." He scans your face. You gulp and giggle a little.

"Aww, thank you..." You look down, feeling slightly awkward.

"Would you like to eat lunch with me today?" He grins a little. You gulp.

"Uh.." Your eyes drift and you see Jotaro enter the library with, of course, Elena wrapped around his arm. Your heart nearly drops at the sight. It made you feel as if you were nobody. You felt like Jotaro would never see you the way you see him. Why did Elena have to swoop in and ruin the chances you had with him? Why did she have to instantly go after the one boy you liked.  Maybe you shouldn't have rejected Jotaros offer the night before. Maybe you should have just gone over his house. Instead, you gave Elena a chance to hangout with him alone, and he went along with it. You have a gross thought that they went to his house and fucked or something. You felt like if you had any chances of getting with Jotaro, they are now gone. You look back at Nicola.

"Sure, that'd be nice." You nod softly.

At lunch you sit with Nicola at a bench in the courtyard, he begins telling you all about the difference kinds of bugs he likes, pointing at pictures of them in a book he got from the library. You can't lie, bugs freak you out, and you didn't really care for his interest in them, but you just nodded along and tried to act like you were really amazed by them. All you could really think about what Jotaro and Elena. You really hoped to god that nothing happened between them, you had such a big crush on Jotaro that you felt like a crazy person.

You missed the simpler days when you liked nobody, had no friends, and had no worries. Now you were already stressed, nervous and worried over stupid shit like this. Not to mention the stand fights now, you felt more on edge with people because of it.

"And this one right here, is a Longhorn Beetle." He points. You look and raise a brow, nodding a little bit as you chew.

"That's..." You swallow your food and hear laughter from the door that leads out to the courtyard. You see Jotaro walk out with Elena, who is always giggling for no reason. You look back at Nicola.

"Oh my god! That's my favorite looking one!" You squeal and place your hand on his arm. He smiles happily and looks at you.

"Really!? Let me show you the Goliath beetle! That ones cool looking." He begins to flip through pages. You smile and let out a soft sigh. You keep your hand on his arm and watch him flip through the pages, glancing over to see if Jotaro is looking. Jotaro glances over slightly and you immediately look back at the book.

"See y/n?" Nicola says and points to the picture of another bug from the book.

"Oh, there she is." You hear her voice say. You hear footsteps and then look behind you. Elena approaches you with Jotaro standing beside her, hands in his pockets.

"Hey, can we sit with you... two?" She looks at Nicola and then back at you. You sit up a bit more, your arm now around Nicolas' arm.

"Sure." You blush a little and try to avoid looking at Jotaro. Elena and Jotaro go and sit across from you two, and it felt so odd to you still. Jotaro never normally sits at the benches.

"This is Nicola by the way... He's a foreign exchange student too." You introduce him to them with a small grin.

"Oh sweet. I'm Elena.." She grins at him. He nods a bit.

"What are you guys looking at?" Elena asks nicely and takes out her food.

"Bugs." Nicola says lowly and continues to look through the pages. You look at the book, really not interested, but you fake it to try to see if Jotaro shows any signs of jealousy, or just hoping to make him jealous in the slim chance that he might actually like you. You hear a click and glance up and see Jotaro lighting a cigarette thats in his mouth. You gulp a little bit and watch him.

"Bugs? Ew..." Elena makes a face and kind of giggles. Nicola looks up at her.

"Heh? Ew? They are amazing." He looks at her with a slight offended expression. Jotaro looks off in the distance as this happens.

"Well yeah, they are cool, but they are yucky and crawl in trash and carry bacteria." Elena makes a disgusted face. Nicola sits up straight.

"Yeah, trash that us humans produce. We are the disgusting ones, not bugs. They have been here before our time." He speaks calmly. Elena laughs a little.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. But they are scary looking too, so I guess I'm just scared of them." She giggles. Nicola grins a bit, seeming satisfied by her response in him being right.

"Probably." He mumbles and looks back down at the book. Jotaro glances over and looks at the pages of the book with his eyes. You look at him. You feel like you're going to melt. He is so attractive, every part of his face is perfectly proportional, his eyes are the nicest shade of greenish blue, like an ocean. You get lost in your thoughts while starring at him, he looks back into your eyes and brings his hand up to the cigarette in his mouth and sucks in gently and removes it from his mouth, softly blowing the smoke out, all while maintaining the eye contact with you. You blink, snap out of your funk and immediately blush when you realize he's deadpan starring back at you.

You slowly look back down at the book.

Once school was over you go to your locker, only to be met by Elena and Jotaro. Elena has an annoying smile on her face and Jotaro just stands there with his hands in his pockets.

You open your locker and raise a brow at them.

"What's up?" You speak solemnly to Elena.

"Are you busy today? Wanna go out since you couldn't yesterday?" She smiles. You get your stuff and slam your locker shut, glaring at the two of them slightly.

"Uh..." You think a little. Did she really just go with Jotaro to get food and that's it? Is she really wanting to hangout with all of you guys together? That didn't make sense considering she said she wanted to get closer with him and shit. Maybe she's just being nice, besides, she has no clue you like Jotaro so it's not her fault for this shit. You're just looking for someone to blame, and if anything, you should blame yourself for not making any moves with him.

"I don't know..." You blush a bit and adjust your skirt slightly. Elena watches you and blinks. You look back up at them a bit, you know your tone is anything but optimistic.

"I think I'm just gonna go home for the night...I don't feel very well..." You walk passed them and look down slightly, gripping the straps of your backpack.

"Oh... Okay.. Feel better y/n..." Elena speaks softly as you walk passed her.

This seemed to be going nowhere for you.
