Early morning...

The alarm, as usual, buzzes into Swara's ears demanding her to get up. She grumbles and groans cursing the stupid alarm clock as it never shows any mercy on her. Slowly, she peeks out of her blanket to look at the buzzing clock and finds that it is already half past six. Cursing the little screaming thing a little more, she shuts it down and gets up from the bed as she realizes that she has one and a half hour left for the college to start.

She has never paid much attention to her appearance, so, unlike most of the girls she doesn't believe in wasting time in clothes and accessories selection. Picking up a random pair of clothes from her cupboard she makes her way towards the washroom. After a quick freshening up and warm shower she gets herself dressed in a blue kurti paired with a white leggings. She ties her long black silky tresses flowing down to her waist in a usual bun. Throwing her white dupatta across her shoulders and wearing her glasses on she gives herself a final look in the mirror before grabbing her bag and heading towards the kitchen for the breakfast.

Swara: (entering the kitchen) Good morning Maa!

Simmy: Good morning! So ready for the day?

Swara: (shrugs her shoulder) Hmm... Almost.

Simmy: What happened? You look a bit low today? Is it because of your late night working hours?

Swara: It's nothing like that, Maa. I'm just the same as I'm daily.

Simmy: Then why? Why, when you are just nineteen years old, you are behaving like a twenty five plus lady?

Swara: Stop exaggerating Maa! I don't look like that!

Simmy: (chuckling) I have the best idea for you.

Swara: Maa, please no more ideas. I don't know why but I do have a bad feeling about it!

Simmy: Bad feeling?! Nah! Having a boyfriend is never considered a bad feeling!

Swara: Maa... Seriously!

Simmy: What?

Swara: You know, right? I'm not that much into boys. Besides that, all the boys at my college are total jerks with no brain at all.

Simmy: Oh God, have some mercy on me! Look around! Now-a-days, girls of your age have at least three to four guys wrapped around their fingers but my daughter... Ugh! Not even one.

Swara: Maa, are you sure you haven't hit your head anywhere?

Simmy: Absolutely not! Here I'm thinking something good for you and you are behaving like that. I don't believe this. Have some conscience, young lady!

Swara: Then let me get straight to the point. I'm not interested in any boy. And most importantly neither of them is interested in a nerd girl like me. They are more interested in going after the other girls like the ones back at my college. They all look beautiful and very modern, exactly opposite to what I am! So, no more discussion on this topic.

Simmy: That's not what beautiful is! They all try to look beautiful with the tons of make up pasted on their faces. Just a feeble attempt to grab the guys' attention! I think even without any makeup my daughter looks absolutely beautiful.

Swara: Beautiful! Maa, from which angle do I look beautiful to you?

Simmy: (smiles) Excuse me! My daughter is absolutely beautiful both inside out. It's just that she doesn't realize it. All I know is that you must wait for right guy who actually loves you for what you are!

Swara: (rolls her eyes hearing her mother's love theories) And there we go again! I should better leave right now or else I'll get late.

Just then a little boy of around seven years comes running to them...

Boy: Good morning Mumma! Good morning Di!

Simmy: Good morning Yash baby!

Swara: (hugs Yash and shouts in his ears) Good morning Yashie!

Yash: (wiggles to get free) Ugh! Di! How many times have I told you not to call me that?

Swara: (laughs) What?

Yash: That! Yashie! It sounds like the name of a girl.

Swara: (smiles) But I feel it's cute. (pulls his cheek)

Yash: Ouch! (rubs his cheeks) I'm not cute. I'm a grown up boy now and boys are not cute.

Swara: But I think my younger brother is absolutely cute!

Yash makes faces while Swara and Simmy laugh looking at him...

Swara: Okay Maa, I'm going to college. Bye!

Simmy: Okay! Bye! But give a little thought to what I have said. Just have a good look, may be you'll find your prince charming.

Swara: (sighing heavily) Not again Maa! Prince Charmings don't exist in real lives. Bye, and don't forget to have your medicines.

Simmy: Bye! Have a good day!

Swara chuckles and leaves for the college shaking her head. For sure, though a small one but her family is one of its kind.

~ ELITE UNIVERSITY ~

Swara enters the college just five minutes before the commencement of the class and she runs and runs to get there on time. She can't afford to miss a single lecture! She needs the scholarship! She keeps running when her bag slips off her shoulder and while trying to adjust it back she bumps into someone...

Swara: (without looking) Sorry! Sorry!

She runs even without looking at the person whereas the person keeps looking at her retreating figure with a naughty smirk gracing the lips.

-----------------.

Thankfully, Swara makes there to her class on time and sits at her usual seat in one corner of the class avoiding all the possible contacts from the rest of her classmates. Their teacher for professional communication, Mr. Seth, enters followed by a guy...

Mr. Seth: Good Morning class!

Everyone looks at him but what grabs everyone attention is the person standing behind him. The girls go absolutely crazy looking at him whereas the boys get envious of his looks. Swara raises her head from the book on hearing the chaos and gets awestruck on seeing an absolutely gorgeous boy with a breath-taking smile standing in front of the class. Dressed in blue v-neck t-shirt with white jacket and black jeans, he looks extremely handsome and dashing. Is that even legal to look that good? Swara gets dazzled looking at him but getting embarrassed of her own looks, she diverts her attention back at her book. Is that who she thinks he is?

Mr. Seth: So, class, he is Sanskaar Maheshwari! From now on he will be attending the same class as you all.

Oh yes! He is!

Sanskaar: (smiles) Hello everyone! I hope to get along well with you all.

Mr. Seth: Sanskaar, you can take any one of the empty seats over here as per you wish.

Sanskaar nods his head smiling and gives a quick glance over the class to see the empty seats. Just then his eyes lands on Swara who keeps on looking at her book. He smiles looking at her before starting to walk towards her. Swara feels him coming towards her seat and clutches her fist tightly wishing silently for him to take some other seat. Please don't come here! But apparently God isn't in a mood to listen to her prayers right now. Sanskaar sits beside her without a single word and all the girls look at her enviously. And if looks could kill they would have already killed Swara a number of times.

Sanskaar: Hi! I'm Sanskaar!

Swara: (avoiding eye contact) You can't sit here.

Sanskaar: (smirks getting amused by her reaction) Why? Do you bite? Wait! Are you a vampire trying to hide her identity? Have you some disease?

Excuse me!

Swara raises her head and glares at him. Their eyes meet and something flutters inside her seeing his amused smile. Maybe her breakfast is having some side effects! She tears her gaze away from him immediately and looks at her book.

Sanskaar: I'll take that as a no! Then I can definitely sit here. So, what's your name?

Swara: (still looking at the book) Swara.

Sanskaar: Are you trying to dig a hole in the book? Don't you like it?

Swara: (snaps her head towards him) What?

Sanskaar: (shrugging his shoulders) No, you were looking at the book with so much eagerness that I thought...

Before Swara could say anything the teacher calls her...

Mr. Seth: Swara!

Swara: Yes... Yes sir!

Mr. Seth: Well since Sanskaar has joined us a month late I think you can help him with the notes and all.

Swara: (nods her head) Sure sir!

Mr. Seth: Sanskaar, you can take any help from her.

Sanskaar: (smiling) Absolutely Sir!

The teacher starts teaching and Swara tries her best to concentrate...

Sanskaar: (leans a bit towards Swara) Chh... Chh!

Swara tries her best to ignore him when Sanskaar takes out his pen and pokes it into her waist. She gets startled and jumps on her seat letting out a shriek.

Mr. Seth: (looks at her) What happened Swara? Any problem?

Swara: (startled) No! No, sir! I think I saw a cockroach but it wasn't there. Sorry for that!

Mr. Seth: Hmm... It's okay! Pay attention to the lecture.

He resumes teaching and Swara glares at Sanskaar but he just shrugs and winks at her.

Sanskaar: (quite amused) Do I look like a cockroach to you?

Swara: Exactly! That's what you are! Mr. Cockroach!

Sanskaar: (excited) Wow! Great name. I loved it.

Swara: Can you please be quiet for a few moment?

Sanskaar: (pretending to be thoughtful) Hmm! I think that's completely out of my control.

He chuckles and Swara rolls her eyes. She sits keeping both her hands on her head trying all over again to concentrate on the lecture. But... you know... maybe her seat partner has some different plans!

--------------------------.

The class gets over and Swara rushes out to avoid any further talks but Sanskaar follows her...

Sanskaar: Hey! Hey! Ms. Chashmish!

Swara: (turns) What did you call me?

Sanskaar: Thank God! Finally, you heard me.

Swara: What's your problem?

Sanskaar: Oh! My pen was not working properly.

Swara: Then you should get a new one. Why are you telling me this?

Sanskaar: (smirking) You only asked me what's my problem.

Swara: Oh God! Why am I even talking to you?

She grabs her bag and runs towards the corridor but Sanskaar having no such intention of ending the conversation anytime soon runs after her.

Sanskaar: Why do you always keep running?

Swara: What?

Sanskaar: Is it like your habit or something? Running across and bumping into others without even looking at them?

Swara: What are you talking about? (Just then she remembers something and gets shocked) Wait! I bumped into you this morning?

She looks at him with shocked expression all over her face whereas Sanskaar smirks looking at her!
