Growls echoed all around, making me grip Mom's hand tight while trying to slide behind her.

"Mother, what are you saying?" Eva seemed shocked by Mom's behavior.

"I am telling the truth," announced Mom angrily. "I am telling my final decision. If my daughter is deciding to leave because you all arrogant wolves couldn't welcome her with hearts, I am leaving too. She is a part of my soul. If anyone hurts her, he or she hurts me too."

Natalie stiffened while Eva's mouth closed and her jaws clenched. Her eyes slowly moved on me and my heart curled up with memories of her wolf form surfacing.

This was getting worse.

"Mom, it's okay." I mumbled, looking around fearfully.

Mom looked at Eva disappointingly while Natalie whimpered out.

"I am sorry, mother. Please forgive me. I won't do anything like this again," said Natalie while I saw Thomas looking up at his twin sister in relief. Natalie glanced at me and sobbed softly. "Misty, forgive me. I was stupid and disrespectful. I should have cared that you didn't know the way to home."

"She could have been hurt if she had crossed the border," screamed Mom, growling along.

I shuddered and breathed erratically. "Mom, stop. I need to leave."

"No one is leaving!"

Everyone staggered back at the loudest growl coming from the Alpha who had his eyes digging glares on me.

The grounds shook at his Mercy while Mom's angry breaths calmed down in a hope at listening to his words. Eva stared at me in fury while Thomas watched his father breathing hard.

"No one is leaving." Gilbert repeated, a little slow this time, glaring at me. He looked at his mate and then, all around. "Eva, Natalie and Keira have hurt Misty and they will be punished. Whoever hurts any other creature for no reason is unfair to survival. It is unfair to our souls. The justice will happen!"

My eyes widened in disbelief while Mom shook her head at Gilbert.

"And then, what?" She cried. "You all arrogant wolves hate my human daughter, again. I, forgot all your sins, forgave that you killed my brother and my human husband. I came back as your Luna, did my duty by heart, birthed your children, loved you. . ."

I gulped at seeing Mom's red face as the sunlight made her face looked more effective. Her beautiful green eyes looked artistic as they turned bloodshot. In her flowery gown which wasn't much fancy, she was holding my hand and facing this whole crowd of wolves, facing her devil of a mate.

"But you didn't forget the past and still hate this innocent child of mine," cried Mom while shaking her head and looking around. "Misty might be a human but she is as much important to you all as much my other two daughters. She is a daughter of this pack, sister to all your sons and daughters. She is just a child and want nothing but her mother's love which she never really got since the day she was born."

"Tell me what her fault is? For being human? For being my love child?" Mom asked angrily while looking at her other two daughters.

Aunt Kate pushed Keira ahead who stood beside Natalie and lowered her face.

"Misty is part of my soul. She is a part of my heart as much as my other kids are. If she isn't respected, then I don't need this respect. I don't need to live here where she is not wanted, where she is not safe." Mom cried, while looking around.

I swallowed the lump that formed at seeing her taking stand for my sake. I wanted her to stop sacrificing this beautiful world of hers for me. But today, she had a different aura around her that I had never seen before.

"Luna, we are your pups. Please don't leave us," whimpered the she-wolves who were standing in the crowd.

Mom closed her eyes and breathed hard.

Gilbert looked as how the male wolves too requested, "What is a pack without the Luna? We are nothing without you. Alpha Rucus' soul will cry above in the moon at seeing your tears. We will do as it pleases you, Luna. We all are ready to accept your human daughter."

I let out a silent gasp, unknowingly.

"The next month, other packs will arrive here. They'll see how a human is being treated by the pack. They will follow on your behaviour and can take advantage of it. No creature is inferior. It's our deeds that makes us superior. Moon Goddess makes everything happen for a reason."

Gilbert stared at his mate with no expressions on his face. Eva controlled showing her anger on me by looking at the ground.

"She is my blood." Mom said while looking at her mate in the eyes. "As long as you all won't call her your sister and daughter, your own pack's member, I will not stay here."

"Luna," Aunt Kate shook her head at my mother. "Misty is a beautiful person and I am ready to accept her. If she is yours, then she is mine too."

"We accept her as ours, Luna." The women gave their words while smiling at me.

I blinked in disbelief, looking around as some of the male wolves stared at their Alpha, waiting for his words.

Instead, Pete came to stand beside me as he side-hugged me. "Misty is ours."

A loud cheer erupted from the she-wolves while his friends shouted the same slogan. Ivan smiled while Thomas nodded at our mother.

"Misty is ours and we all love her. We will protect her just like we protect all our she-wolves. We will care for her just like we care for all other she-wolves," Thomas said while looking at me.

My lower lip trembled at those words.

Natalie gulped while nodding when Thomas nudged her an elbow. "She is my sister, mother. I will love her."

My face turned warm as Keira too stared at the Luna. "Aunt Malina, forgive me for disrespecting you by hurting her. It won't happen again. Misty is my family, now."

Mom let out a small smile while looking hopefully at Eva.

I lowered my eyes and heard the girls taking Eva's name, giving her shouts.

"C'mon, Eva. Be the big sister!"

Pete growled lowly at her silence. "Stop with the unnecessary attitude."

Eva seemed to take offence immediately as she breathed hard.

I closed my eyes, thinking that what was happening all of a sudden. Last night, I was sobbing at not receiving enough love and now, these werewolves were accepting me, all because of Mom's love. They respected her so much.

But did Eva and Gilbert love her enough to follow the trend?

"She doesn't hate you, Eva." Mom said while staring her eldest daughter.

"Neither do I," shouted Eva while flaring her nostrils.

The crowd fell silent while I looked up at her furious face.

Eva pointed at Gilbert. "But this man, this great Alpha doesn't deserve this. He suffered your brother's rejection all the time. Until the patience was gone and he killed him. Your brother died because he asked for it. And instead of looking for the reasons, you just left us. I and Pete were so small. We were infants. He, our father, took care of us when you had fled for a year or more."

Shivers ran down my spine when she announced, "This whole crowd has heard the pain their Alphas had suffered when you punished him by getting married to a human, mating with him!"

I gasped while Pete growled loudly. "Enough!"

Eva glared at her brother. "You are spineless and soft, brother. I am not. I won't forgive for how my father suffered days and nights without his mate. Mother was enjoying her life with her new pup and that stupid human husband!"

It felt like a stone thrown at my heart.

Mom stared at her in disbelief as she further revealed, "When father brought you back, we got our mother back. Instead of punishing you for what you did, father accepted as you were and renewed our lives. But you kept begging to see her, meet her! He kept giving in by going in her birthdays! And you say, he didn't accept her."

Eva shook her head and looked around. "She is not my sister! All she has been to me is just a big wall. Between my parents. She came into our lives and broke our family. You are not the same, and now when she is here, father is never happy. She reminds him of your betrayal. I can't see my father hurt like this."

I looked at Gilbert and saw hidden pride in his eyes for Eva. My heart took a twisted turn at the scene.

A tear spilled which I wiped while looking away. What a drama my life had became!

"Then, fucking get out of here!" Pete scolded his younger sister.

Eva scoffed and flared her nostrils while glaring at me. "I hope, you gets killed by some disease or wolf-" Her mouth was shut when Mom freed her hand from mine and slapped her hard enough to turn her face.

My heart reached my throat when I saw the marks of two scratches on her cheek and the blood had started to leak. Shivers ran down my spine when I caught Mom's hand, the claws protruded. Blood ran cold when they started hiding back.

To distract myself from believing into the supernatural, I looked at the half-sister of mine who thought I was the reason for the bad phase happened in her parent's lives.

Eva closed her mouth and closed her eyes. Touching her cheek, she looked back at Mom and then at the blood on her finger tips. Glossiness appeared and her lips trembled. Eva looked at me, her pain turning into anger.

"Fuck you," she choked out while running towards the grounds.

But what blew my mind was the sudden black fur appearing on her skin, ripping her sporty clothes. I breathed hard in shock as the black wolf ran away, leaving a cloud of dust around us and shreds of her clothes.

Glancing back, Gilbert was only staring at me. I stiffened and lowered my eyes.

"Dumb-ass." Pete commented while Mom glared at her mate.

"If she hurts my Misty by any chance, I will rip her away and then, myself."

My eyes widened at Mom because I knew, she wasn't lying.

Thomas sighed heavily while looking hopefully at his father.

"Father, I won't stay if mother leaves this place," announced Thomas, making giggles erupt among the young she-wolves.

Natalie stared at her father who moved his eyes on his mate.

Gilbert took a long breathe before looking around. The crowd fell silent as he finally set his eyes on the Luna of this pack.

"Who stays in this pack and who leaves," yelled the Alpha so loud, his voice boomed in my ears. "Is my choice!"

He stared at my mother and announced, "The she-wolves who did wrong will get their punishment. The human who entered the forbidden forest has already gotten her warning."

My eyes narrowed when he gave me a glance.

"The girl will be given the respect just like every other wolf in this pack, till the time she is here." He made sure to give me that clever glint in his eyes.

"Her stay here should be memorable. I expect all of you to learn from both of my daughters' mistakes. The human girl on the other hand, will return the affection," he said through gritted teeth while looking around. "She is our responsibility. My responsibility."

The human girl.

That was my identity for him.

Blinking slowly, he finally looked at Mom who tried hard to maintain her determined at his stern gaze.

"Because hating her for the dead human father is less important than loving my mate," he said, stressing on the words.

I moved my eyes slowly on to my mother's face, observing her eyes softening at his words.

"My Luna is more precious to me than any grudge from past."

Well, there went my mother's heart.

I rolled my eyes with a sour feeling in my chest.

Cheers erupted among the crowd when he looked around and smiled cheerfully at his wolves.

"It will be good highlight of the entire mating ceremony of this year when all other packs would be amazed by finding out a unique addition to our pack," he said, impressing his crowd by those meaningless words.

I looked away, wanting to run away from his sight.

"Anything for my mate," Gilbert said, while looking down at my mother as God knows when the Alpha and Luna were standing inches apart.

My eyes narrowed in disbelief and jaws clenched when I realized Gilbert's hand reaching for my mother's waist.

"You are the love of my life, Malina. If you leave me, what will I do without you." Gilbert whispered, making my mother blush and leave a small smile on her face for everyone to see.

I heard sighs from the half-siblings and cheers from the crowd. Some of the male wolves even howled in adoration.

I wanted to kick the pebble that was right beside my foot. What the actual fu.ck!

"Don't you dare talk about leaving ever," muttered the Alpha while hugging my mother who had her head on his chest.

"Misty needs to feel loved here, Gilbert. I want that," she whispered in his chest.

"You words are my deeds, my mate."

I swallowed my cheeks, shifting back a little in discomfort that I felt from sharing my mother's love to this Werewolf man I hated so much.

The crowd cheered and hooted. I moved my eyes slowly on each face as they watched the happy couple with soft gazes. Pete smiled to himself while Thomas hugged Keira with one hand and Natalie with other. Aunt Kate rubbed her belly while kissing Uncle Robert. Ivan winked at me while Nirvan stood lovingly between his parents.

Mom blushed when Gilbert whispered something in her ear, making the crowd of Werewolves laugh. They could all hear what vulgar joke he said in her ear while I was staring at them dumbly, with my overwhelmed ass suddenly started burning in jealousy.

And it turned worse when Gilbert hugged my mother close to him and through her shoulder, he gave me a disgusted glare that had told me the truth clearly.

He would never give me that love and respect he just promised.
