Jimin felt odd.

He was back to his old life. His parents acted as if nothing happened, as if she didn't exist.

He took a week off school to allow his body to recover before returning. He had gotten a few odd stares but no one said a thing to him. Not even Krystal, who gave him dirty looks when she saw him in the hallways.

It was almost as if he had erased that part of his life. Like the past nine months had been a dream that he had finally woken up from.

He woke up every morning happily skipping down the stair where his parents waited in the kitchen with breakfast ready.

"Mmm this is really good mom." He complemented her as he ate another slice of pancakes.

She smiles brightly at him. "Thank you, dear." She takes a sip of her coffee. "So how are Jungkook and Taehyung? I haven't seen them in a while."

Jimin held back any comment he wanted to make about how she hadn't even seen him in months. This is what he wanted. He wanted a fresh start with his family. Jimin wanted to forget what had happen to separate them. He was happy. Absolutely happy.

"Yeah. I'll invite them over one of these days."

He mumbled quickly finishing his breakfast. "I should get going. Wouldn't want to be late to school."

"Have a great day honey."

"Hey guys!" Jimin spoke cheerfully walking over to his friends.

"Hi." They greeted giving him a hug. They too avoid to speak of the events that had happened. It's not that they wanted to never think of her it's just they believed it was better this way. They didn't want their friend getting upset at them over something they couldn't change.

So they opted to do exactly what Jimin wanted. They didn't speak of her. They didn't mention her around him.

"So have you heard," Taehyung started as the three made their way to their first period. Just like old times.

Jimin didn't have to worry anymore. Everything was like before. Everything was just perfect. No more stress.

The only thing he had to worry about was school and losing weight.

"Jimin" said boy turned to his friends. "You okay?"

"Course I am." He said smiling continuing their walk.

He had no reason for there to be something wrong. His life was exactly how he wanted. He was a normal teenager. Nothing was holding him back. No commitments. No responsibilities.

"How was school today, kiddo?" His father asked with a kind smile on his face.

"Great. I aced my calculus test." Jimin exclaimed happily. His father praised him for being a smart young man.

"You have a bright future ahead of you." The teenager smiled at his dad. He had been extremely kind to the boy since he had returned home. It was like he had never said anything to the boy. Like he hadn't thrown him out.

"Have you started thinking of where you want to go for college?"

His life was back to normal. Everything was the same as it had been seven months ago before he had been kicked out.

At the end of the day Jimin would go take a shower. Everyday he would look at the reflection in the mirror. Staring down at the pudge in his midsection. His eyes focusing on the stretch marks that lined his stomach and hips.

His mind would flooding with the memories of the last couple of months. His thoughts would lead him to the thought of his daughter. The little girl who had Yoongi's nose, his lips, and a full head of hair.

Jimin's eyes glossed over. He covered his face with shaking hands. "You're happy. You're happy. You're happy." He chanted to himself over and over again. The mask that he had desperately tried to glue onto his face was being pulled off without his permission.

"You wanted this." He spoke to himself. "You have a normal life. You have loving supportive parents." He continued. His breathing became uneven as he couldn't get the picture of his daughter out of his mind.

Was she okay? Was Yoongi able to handle caring for her? Was she eating well?

He took a deep breath uncovering his eyes. Seeing the stretch marks that represented everything he had been through for the last couple months.

It took him a minute but he was able to recover placing the happy mask back on. He ignored the aching feeling he had in heart. The ache that instead of dulling down only seemed to heighten as the days went by.

He had to ignore it. Act like it wasn't there from the moment he woke up to the moment he went to sleep.

He had to act like he was okay. Like he was happy with his life.
