A/N:

We've hit 60 chapters! Can you believe it? Cause I surely can't. I want to thank you all for your unconditional amount of love and support throughout this whole book. I know it's been a couple of months since I've last given you a proper update, I hope this makes up for the long wait.

Another thing, I'm sorry for the crappy ending; I wasn't sure how to end the chapter, so I apologise for that.

Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy.

ALEXANDRA

Slowly but surely, our friends and family members who had been invited to Scarlett's little birthday party began to fill up the house. Whilst Harry entertained our guest, I remained upstairs giving my daughter her midday feeding.

As she lay in my arms, I lovingly looked over her gorgeous features and thought to myself I am the luckiest woman in this earth to be able to call this baby girl my daughter. It's really been a year full of laughs, tears, and getting to know her, but most importantly, it's been a year full of loving this little girl.

"You make me so happy, Scarlett Anne. You're everything I've ever wanted; you and your Daddy are everything I've ever wanted. Thank you for choosing me to be your Mummy. You're the best thing to have ever happened to me, angel." I breathed out down to Scarlett who was staring up at me intently as I talked, her little fist resting close to her chubby cheek as she continued to nurse happily.

"I hope you're having a good first birthday. Daddy's been so excited for today. I know he's also a little sad you're growing up. Don't worry though, I've already told him he's got nothing to worry about cus you'll always be his little girl. Isn't that right, baby?" I cooed gently, running the pads of fingers over Scarlett's soft little hand that rested against my collarbones.

When I looked away from my baby girl, I caught sight of her father leaning against the doorway with the softest of smiles on his face and his green eyes misty; he overheard me talking to our girl and he's crying. Classic Harry.

"How much did you hear?" I groaned playfully, lifting my feet from the small barstool so Harry could sit on it instead.

"Everything." He confessed cheekily, though a couple of tears ran down his cheeks when he grinned. I reached out with my free hand and wiped away the little droplets from his cheeks, causing him to lean into my palm cutely.

"I love you and I'm so happy you're the mother of my daughter. I really can't imagine my life without you two. You gave me the most perfect baby on this earth and for that I am eternally thankful." Harry voiced softly, both of his hands gripping onto my thighs as he leaned forward to brush our lips together before doing the same over our baby girl's chubby cheeks, causing her to giggle against my breast adorably.

"Now you're going to make me cry!" I laughed, a teary laugh at that.

Harry chuckled warmly, his eyes bright and full of happiness. I don't think he's ever looked as handsome as he does right now. Truly.

When Scarlett was done nursing, Harry and I joined our friends and families back downstairs where the first thing I did was go find Anne and my Mum and thanked them for having kept everyone entertained whilst H and I were gone.

I passed off Scarlett to her Uncle Niall the second she began to squirm in my arms for his attention. The Irish man cackled loudly at the pout that formed on Scar's face when he didn't grab her quick enough for her liking. Once my birthday girl was in her uncle's grasp, she was a happy little girl once again.

"I might just steal you away and take you with me back to London." Niall teased as he peppered Scarlett's rosy cheeks with a bunch of tiny kisses that had my girl throwing her head back as she laughed preciously.

"I don't think so. You'll have to fight Clare and Mitch to be able to do that. Not to mention Harry." Sarah Jones hummed playfully, tickling my girl's tiny feet when she kicked it in her direction.

"Don't even get me started with those three. You remember how back in Scotland they were fighting about who got to wake her up from her nap? They're absolutely ridiculous." I groaned out a laugh, rolling my eyes fondly as I thought back to the silly memory.

"Well I'll gladly fight them over this! She's coming with me. Right, baby?" Niall stated stubbornly, bouncing Scarlett on his hip, which caused her to squeal happily as Sarah and I cooed.

"No!"

HARRY

We (Adam, Louis, Liam, Mitch, and I) sat around the living room watching over Silver, Spike, and Freddie as they played amongst themselves quietly, letting out loud giggles from time to time.

"So Harold, how does it feel to have a one year old daughter?" Adam spoke up as he took a swing from his beer bottle. I looked over at him intently, a small smile on my lips.

"Honestly? It's both incredible and heartbreaking at the same time. It's incredible because now I can slowly see the little person she's becoming, but it's heartbreaking as well because she's growing up right before my eyes and there's nothing I can do." I sighed somewhat emotionally, though I immediately perked up at the sight of my angel in her Uncle Niall's arms.

"Dahey! Dahey!"

"Hi there pretty girl! I was wondering where you were." I chuckled, taking her happily into my arms when Niall sat her on my lap. Scarlett was quick to grip the fabric of my shirt as she tried to stand on my thighs like she always did when we sat on the couch.

I stood her up so she was facing her crooning and cooing uncles who were trying to get her attention, but as usual, the only thing my girl did was burst into a fit of giggles.

"You're just the cutest in this world, aren't you, love?" Liam laughed fondly, gently taking one of Scarlett's tiny hands into his much larger ones as Scarlett beamed cheekily at him.

"M'goo!" My sweet girl squealed happily, causing us all to laugh at her sweet voice. Mitch stood up from the floor and moved closer to me to take Scarlett into his arms instead, bouncing her gently to have her giggling cutely.

"Hi there squirt." He chuckled as he planted a kiss to my baby's temple.

The kids must've noticed Scarlett's presence suddenly because in a blink of an eye, they were crowding up around Mitch to play with Scar who at the sight of her cousins, shrieked excitedly.

"She sounds just like you, H." Adam commented playfully, to which Louis and Niall began to cackle loudly.

"Piss off, all of you." I laughed, shaking my head in mock disapproval. A few minutes later, Alexandra, Clare, Emi, Sarah, and Eleanor walked out of the kitchen with a few juice boxes for the kids to have.

"What's going on in here? We could head you all the way from the kitchen!" Sarah gasped teasingly, walking over to her boyfriend and kissing all over Scarlett's chubby cheeks.

I smiled up at the pair, feeling Alex sit close to me a couple of moments later.

"Hi baby." I grinned, leaning toward her and brushing a kiss against her pink lips. I felt her smile into the kiss, her hands cupping my cheeks gently.

"Hello." Alexandra beamed when we pulled away, moving to sit on my lap instead so Clare and Emi could sit next to us.

"We're taking your daughter with us after tour is over, it's already been decided." Sarah announced when Mitch transferred Scarlett into his girlfriend's arms so he could have a sip of his beer.

"No way! Niall and I have already discussed she's coming with us back to London." Liam chimed in playfully, kissing the crown of Freddie's head when the little boy sat on his lap to drink his juice.

"Sorry to break it to you but Adam and I are taking her home with us. It'll save us the nine month wait for a little one of our own." Emi hummed nonchalantly, Alexandra and Clare giggling at her words.

"Sorry to break it to you all but she's staying right her with her Mumma and I. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk." I finalised, squeezing Alex's thigh lovingly.

"Oh shut up, will ya? Don't be so selfish!" Mitch wailed dramatically, a smirk etching onto his face when Sarah placed my daughter on the floor so she could toodle around.

"I hate you so much." I laughed, moving my hands to hold my fiancée around her hips as I kept my gaze fixed on my blonde haired girl who was looking at me curiously.

"Hi baby girl." I grinned gently, which seemed to be all Scarlett needed to waddle toward her Mum and I.

"We win! Yes!" Alexandra cheered happily, leaning forward and taking our baby girl into her arms affectionately, kissing her cute button nose in the process.

Our friends scoffed playfully at us when Scarlett remained glued to her Mum contently, all thoughts of playing with her cousins forgotten.

As we all sat around mine and Alex's Los Angeles home's living room chatting, I thought to myself: yeah, I wouldn't mind this being an everyday thing.

Today's been good. Today's been really good.
