ALEXANDRA

As soon as the SUV came to a halt, I was out of the vehicle and up the pathway of our front yard.

The shit that happens to me when I try to be nice. I always end up getting the shorter end of the stick.

I stalked upstairs toward our bedroom, where I slammed the door harshly as soon as I was in the room.

"Baby... please let me explain- what are you doing?" Harry whispered nervously.

"I'm staying at Mum's for a while." I commented shortly, continuing to pack some of my stuff into the suitcase I had laying on the bed.

"Why would you be staying at your Mum's? Baby... you can't leave me- oh God! Please, don't leave me." Harry gasped as he bursted into a mess of tears.

I couldn't help it when my own eyes began to cloud up again. I've tried to hold it in longer, but I've reached my breaking point.

"I can't stay here. We need some time apart. I've got to clear my head and I have a few thing to think about." I sniffled, finally turning around so I was facing Harry.

"Don't go, kitten. Let me explain what happened!" Harry sobbed as he came to wrap his arms around my waist desperately.

"I don't care what happened, Harry; whether it had been because of you or her! We wouldn't be in this situation if you had simply told Jeff to pick someone else. I told you from the beginning, Harry; this girl was trouble; I told you to understand why I was so skeptical about this fucking dinner. Now, thanks to her, we're taking a short break." I cried, tears rushing down my cheeks like a waterfall.

I pushed away from him so I could walk into the en suite bathroom, where I grabbed my toothbrush and my birth control pills.

"What about Scarlett? Will I be seeing her? You can't just take my baby away from me!" Harry continued to cry, sitting on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands.

I stood in front of my vanity, observing over the mess I actually was; my makeup was smeared all over my face, and my cheeks were blotch from my tears. All thanks to that bitch.

"You'll be seeing her. It's just me you won't be seeing much of. Here." I stated, walking over to him and holding my left hand out.

"What are you giving me?" He questioned confusedly, glancing up at me with unshed tears pooling in his eyes.

"Just open your hand. Don't make this harder than it has to be." I cried out, my hand shaking uncontrollably as I held it out toward Harry.

When he saw what I was giving him, was when he really began to sob.

"No baby- no! Not this! Please not this!" He pleaded falling to his knees, clutching my engagement ring close to his chest.

If I don't get out of this house fast enough, I'm going to be in the same state as him, maybe worse.

"It's just for a little while, H... please, don't make this more complicated." I begged, my back facing him as my body shook with sobs.

"It was a mistake! I never intended for that to happen," he babbled, bolting up from the floor and moving closer to me, the ring still held tightly in his hand.

"No. I'll tell you what was a mistake. Thinking this could work was." I whimpered pathetically.

Harry gently held onto my forearm, his face flushed red from crying, green eyes clouded with confusion.

"Thinking what could work?" He murmured hoarsely, his voice scratchy from all the sobbing and yelling he's done.

"Thinking we could work. That was a Mistake."
