ALEXANDRA

"Are you alright, sweetheart?" Lou asked the second she saw me. I had managed to not get lost backstage whilst looking for Lou.

"Yeah, I'm just going to be hanging out back here if you don't mind." I assured, grinning up at her warmly.

"Oh darling, I don't mind at all! Come on, let's have a little chat." She smiled gently, setting her hair brush and spray down walking to sit with me and Scarlett who was resting on my lap.

"Alrighty." I murmured, adjusting Scarlett so she was sitting with her back resting against my chest.

"Do you still breastfeed her?" Lou asked, tickling Scar's chubby feet. I smiled softly at the pair, nodding my head at her question.

"Yeah, I do. The doctor said I'll probably be doing it till she's two. He said it's completely normal for her to nurse till that age. Some kids breastfeed till they're four!." I chuckled as I looked down at my girl. Lux took the opportunity to run into her Mum's arms, giggling madly at God knows what.

"What's so funny, little woman?" Lou laughed, threading her fingers through her daughter's blonde hair.

"Nothing Mummy. I was playing with Uncle Hazzy!" She squealed. Scarlett seemed to find all the giggling amusing, because a moment later she let out a cheeky screech of her own.

"You find that funny, babes?" I cooed happily down at my daughter. She stared up at me with piercing emerald eyes, her face breaking out into a toothless grin.

"Lux! Where's Uncle Harry's favourite girl?" Harry cried playfully as he ran into the dressing room in search of Lux, the little girl hiding behind her mother, trying to muffle her giggles against her Mum's shoulder.

"Look Lux! It's Uncle Dorky." Lou cheered teasingly. Upon hearing the silly nickname Lou had for Harry, I let out a surprised laugh as I adjusted Scarlett in my arms.

"Come on Uncle Hazzy! Play with me and Scar." Lux grinned innocently, moving toward me and grabbing one of Scarlett's little hands.

"How about I just play with you? Just Uncle Harry and his favourite girl." He smirked, looking directly at me. At his words, I lowered my gaze to Scarlett, who was looking at Harry intently.

"Harry," Lou warned. He flashed her a smile. "What?" He grinned almost too sweetly.

I was quick to busy myself with Scarlett's tiny dress, fixing it for her and laying her back in the crook of my arm. Now that she was facing both Harry and Lux, Scarlett reached out towards Harry as if letting him know she also wanted to join him and Lux, who was sat next to Harry playing with his mobile phone.

"I'm not picking you up, kid. So just stay right where you are." He huffed dryly.

For some reason, Scarlett found that extremely amusing, because she let out a row of innocent giggles. My heart was hurting for my baby girl, I felt horrible for letting him speak to our daughter in such way, but sadly, it's nothing I haven't heard before and have already tried to stop. I kissed the top of her head repeatedly as if apologising for his behaviour.

"I'm so sorry, my angel..."

HARRY

"I'm not gonna pick you up, kid. So just stay right where you are, you little bugger." I huffed at the little pest.

To my complete and utter surprise, the little girl let out a row of giggles.

Something in me felt funny -fondness?- As I heard her giggle.

"Harry, cut it out, mate." Lou snapped angrily. I rolled my eyes at the short woman, my eyes looking over at her briefly.

"I've not done anything wrong, Lou." I smirked darkly, directing it entirely at Alexandra who was busy tending the small child.

"Styles!" Zayn shouted as he entered the room, the rest of the lads trailing in after him. I immediately became annoyed and bored by them.

"What the fuck did I tell you!? Drop the fucking attitude, man! Or else, I swear to God, I'll get rid of it myself." He threatened lowly.

"Yeah Harry. Don't treat your daughter that way. Now, you're gonna sit your bloody arse on that sofa and spend time with your daughter and girlfriend." Lou added as she got up from the sofa she was sitting on, only to drag me into her previous seat; next to Alexandra and the kid.

"Go on. Take Scarlett." She urged, the lads watching on intently. I let out a frustrated groan as I turned to Alexandra and quite literally demanded the kid be passed to me.

"Give me the fucking baby so these arseholes can get off my back." I huffed, causing Alexandra to let out a small whimper.

"Harry!" Liam growled, his face turning into one of aggravation. Ha, as if I care...

Alexandra passed the little child into my arms gently, fixing the dress it had on. "Now, play with her." Zayn ordered as if it were something completely and utterly normal; an every day task. I rolled my eyes at their stupidity. Quite frankly, this whole situation is a complete failure from their part. You can't possibly demand me to play with a child I don't like. They're forcing me to do something I'm not comfortable with, and it's something I will let them know.

I stood up and sat the small child on my hip, her little hands holding onto the front of my shirt as I held her under her bum.

"You can't really force me to do something I'm not comfortable with! It's like me doing the same shit to you; I know for a damn fact you'd be steaming with anger at me. Stop trying so damn hard to make me like the fucking baby! For once, get off my case!" I spat, pointing an accusing finger in the lads direction. They all stared at me with wide and shocked eyes, not seeming to have been expecting my outburst.

Rolling my eyes in annoyance, I walked in the direction of my dressing room with the little girl still in my arms.

As I ventured into my assigned room and sat her on the sofa, she stared at me with identical emerald eyes. Scarlett flashed me a toothless, cheeky grin. I actually had to bite back a smile, upon seeing her little grin. The baby then began cooing softly, trying to reach up and pull at my hair.

"No." I stated sternly, slightly startling her. I smirked in satisfaction. My eyes were fixed on the small child sitting on my couch as I pulled out my phone and began to scroll through it absentmindedly.

"I'm not seeing you bonding enough with her mate." Louis commented as he walked into my dressing room and sat next to Scarlett on the sofa.

"Not you too,"I scoffed bitterly. He shrugged his shoulders momentarily.

"I'm just here to check in on her, not you. I'm very disappointed in you, H." Louis murmured, taking the little girl into his arms when she reached out for him.

I wasn't going to pick yet another useless fight I was not going to win, so I simply decided to stay quiet and continue to look through my social media apps.

-

"What is it now, kid?" I whined in frustration for the third time. Louis had left about half an hour ago to play some weird game with Lux and Liam, leaving me with the small girl who was currently whining in my arms as I bounced her up and down on my hip a tad wildly. The small girl stuffed two of her chubby fingers into her mouth and squealed; out of excitement, I assume.

"Okay, okay. Stop it. That's annoying." I groaned softly. She looked at me for a couple of seconds, then proceeded to burst into a fit of baby laughter.

I couldn't help the smile that made it's way to my lips and the warmness I felt spread through my body.

"You find everything funny, don't you?" I sighed softly as I continued to bounce her on my hip. After a while of walking around the room with Scarlett on my hip, my back got tired, so I sat on the floor and placed the baby in between my spread legs. Her little face brighten up as she laughed in delight.

"What's so funny?" I crooned as I pushed a stranded lock away from her forehead.

Scarlett clapped her chubby hands happily as I laughed softly, carding my fingers through her chestnut coloured hair.

"You think I'm funny? I am aren't I?" I teased, to which Scarlett babbled loudly.

"I don't know what you're saying but I'm sure it's delightful." I hummed, absentmindedly poking her on the sides as she continued to babble and screech.

"Can I come in?" Someone murmured from the doorway. I looked up to see Alexandra standing there, waiting for a response quietly.

"Are you here to take her?" I asked, motioning to the small girl sitting in front of me. "Yeah, I've come to get her... Lads need you for sound check." Alexandra murmured as she walked over to me and grabbed the little girl, sitting her on her hip and kissing her nose.

"Would that be all? If so, please get out of the room. Thank you." I smiled sarcastically, getting up from the floor and sitting on the couch instead. Scarlet whimpered, reaching out for me once again, only to be neglected.

"No. Stay there." I instructed as if she were some sort of dog. The little girl was having none of it, though. And with a second failed attempt for me to take her, she whined against her mother's shoulder pitifully.

"I wanted to apologise more than anything for making you act so different. I know the last thing you wanted with me was to have a child. But unfortunately for you, things happened differently. If you ever want to talk about what made you change, I'll be here to listen. Until then, all I ask of you is to not take your anger out on my daughter because she's got no fault in what happened between you and I. If you have to yell at anyone, yell at me. Don't take it out on anyone else." She confessed, not once breaking eye contact with me.

To say I was speechless would be an understatement.

"Anyway, that's all I wanted to tell you. I'll be in the tour bus with Scarlett. I hope you have a good show." Alexandra smiled kindly, walking away with Scarlett now peacefully sleeping in her Mum's arms.

Clearly, what the fuck?

"Yeah, I think that would be the best thing to do." I chuckled into the receiving end of my mobile.

Scarlett was laying in front of me, having some tummy time whilst I spoke on the phone with Sophia.

"I should be there soon, the drive shouldn't take more than 40 minutes. Remember, do not tell Liam." Sophia assured, sounding somewhat threatening at the end.

I rolled my eyes jokingly, fully away of the fact that Sophia could not see me. "Yes Sophia darling, you've told me for the up tenth time not to say anything to Liam. If asks anything, I'll tell him I flew you my secret lover." I chuckled, causing my friend to guffaw loudly.

"Okay, sounds good. Just don't let him leave the room if not the surprise won't work." She whined softly, my eyes rolling back once again.

"He's in the living room with the lads. He thinks I'm nursing Scarlett, he won't leave without saying goodbye to her, trust me." I promised my worrying friend. After sharing our brief 'see you soon', I decided on going back into the living room with Scarlett.

"You're going to see Auntie Sophia soon, my love!" I crooned down at Scarlett who had managed to stuff her tiny left foot into her mouth.

"Should we go and see where Uncle Liam is? We need to keep him with us until Auntie Soph comes." I continued, my seven month old staring up at me curiously.

"You're probably thinking I'm crazy, and honestly, I don't blame you, sweets. Now, come on, let's go find Uncle Liam." I grinned as I got up from the bed with my baby in my arms, walking out of the hotel's bedroom.

As I walked through the hallway of my hotel room, I spotted Liam trudging into the kitchen, his mobile phone illuminating his face.

"Liam! Just the lad I wanted to see!" I grinned cheekily. Scarlett squealed when she caught sight of him as well, her chubby face breaking out into a wide, toothless grin.

"Hi there sweet pea. How's Uncle Liam's favourite baby girl?" He cooed sweetly as Scar reached out for him. Liam, more than happily, scooped her up and began to pepper her cheeks with noisy kisses.

"I saw you were heading into the kitchen; do you want me to make you anything?" I asked, smiling fondly at Scarlett when my daughter rested her left cheek on her uncle's shoulder cutely.

"Oh, you don't have to darling. I was just going to grab a glass of water." He smiled reassuringly. I was having none of it, so I simply walked into the kitchen and began to rummage through the freezer to see what I could make for him.

I pulled out two big frozen pizza boxes, deciding on making them for him and the rest of the lads in case they were hungry.

"Could you please turn the oven on so it can begin to heat up?" I requested from the brown eyed lad as I placed the two pizza boxes on the island top so they could defrost.

"Have you spoken to Sophia today?" I asked my friend subtlety, watching his facial expression out of the corner of me eye.

"I haven't been able to. She texted me earlier and told me she's been busy with uni work. I hope I can talk to her tomorrow; I've not heard from her in a while." He pouted, kissing Scarlett's forehead sweetly.

I tried my very best to bite back my smile as I heard him. It's obvious how in love Liam is with Sophia. I know how hard it was on them both when the lads had to leave for tour. I sometimes wish Sophia could be on tour as often as I am. I tour with the lads because I don't want Scarlett to not recognize her father each time he comes back from tour. It may not be working out how I planned seeing as Harry doesn't really spend much time with her unless he absolutely has to, but it's still something.

"I'm sure you'll be able to talk to her tomorrow, Li." I assured the Wolverhampton lad, breaking out of my thoughts and focusing in on Scarlett who was content with being carried by her uncle.
