It was finally Thursday night and I couldn't be more relieved. It had been a long tiring week balancing between classes and avoiding Gabriel. I was at my place getting ready to leave for a night out. I mean I was ready I just had to find my damn keys so I could leave.

I hadn't had any assignments to complete so I had spent the rest of the day after class pampering myself. I had a new hairdo which was done into makeba box braids that had been cut short at my shoulders. They looked amazing on me if I do say so myself. I also had my nails done in black polish with white leaf designs on them.

I was currently dressed in a black long sleeved off shoulder cropped top with a matching skirt that reached mid thigh. I had done my make up to look simple yet sophisticated with smokey eyes and maroon lipstick. My white high top evolution boots completed the look. I was ready to go wreak havoc.

I finally located my keys at the bottom of my book bag. I don't know how they got in there yet I had used them to get into the house. Giving myself one last look in the mirror I liked what I saw so I grabbed my small clutch with everything I needed left. I locked the door behind me and quickly left the building.

I never lingered in the hallways anymore because I was avoiding Gabriel. Thankfully I hadn't run into him even once. I knew he was still there because I heard noise sometimes and the team came over a lot. His motorcycle was also pretty loud so I always heard him leave and arrive. It looks like he really had listened to me and was keeping his distance. A part of me was hurt that he had actually listened to me and we wouldn't talk no more but the more logical part of me knew all this was for the best. The logical part of me won.

When I got outside I noticed that Gabriel's motorcycle wasn't where he usually parked it so he wasn't home. Good for him. Thankfully the uber I had called had already arrived when I got outside so I just got in and I was off. A new club called The Drill had opened and I wanted to try it out get a few drinks and maybe someone to drill into me. See what I did there. The clubs name and reference to someone actually..... Nothing.. Okay.

I wasn't one of those girls who needed company to have a good time. I didn't mind the company of someone I knew but I didn't necessarily need it. I knew what I wanted and I went for it. And besides clubbing with someone else especially a girl was an unnecessary burden. I had to look out for them as well as me too. I wasn't a fan of that.

The uber pulled up just outside the club. I paid him and got out straightening my skirt in the process. It looked nice on the outside with a huge blue lit neon light with the clubs logo and two bouncers outside. There wasn't a line so I just entered and was immediately lost in a world I was familiar with.

There were people everywhere drinking and dancing to the loud music bouncing off from every corner. There were two bars, a dj booth and tables arranged next to the walls and all around too. It wasn't anything fancy but it was a really neat place. I walked up to the bar and sat on the stool at the very furthest end.

"What can I get you?" The bartender asked me as soon as he was finished tending his other customer.

"Anything that with the highest alcohol content." I ordered and he smiled at me.

"Are you sure you can handle that?" He asked me.

"Try me." I replied.

"Well okay." He said turning around and grabbing a bottle off the shelf behind him.

He grabbed a glass but I pushed it away and took the bottle from him. Thankfully my lipstick was smudge free. I unscrewed the cap and took one swing. It actually wasn't that bad. I had tasted much stronger stuff so this was easy to swallow down. It left a burning sensation in my throat and warmed my body leaving me feeling lively. . The bartender just stared at me shock.

"You really can hold your liquor." He said and I smiled.

"You ain't seen nothing yet."I told him grabbing a few slices of lime placed in front of me.

He shook his head before leaving to serve others but always kept an eye on me. He was cute but I wasn't one to flirt with people who were working. I'm sure he wanted to be left in peace as he did his job. I turned around to face the rest the club. There were people on the dancefloor, others in the bar like me while the rest sat down at the tables drinking in groups or pairs or alone.

A few people caught my eye but I wasn't drunk enough to approach anyone just yet so I turned back around to my drink. I continued drinking alone for a while as I enjoyed the music.

From the corner of my eye I saw someone sit next to me and I turned to look at them. It was a guy dressed in a button up shirt and khaki pants. Who wears khakis to a club? He didn't look so bad but dressed like that he didn't interest me. I turned back around to my drink and hoped he wouldn't try to talk to me. How wrong I was.

"Why is a pretty lady like you drinking alone?" He asked and I turned to look at him.

"I'm not interested." I said bluntly not wanting to drag this out.

"But...." He started and I held up my hand to silence him.

"Look here buddy. You look like a nice guy. No doubt there but you are not what I'm looking for. It has nothing to do with you. There's lots of pretty ladies here tonight. Go to any one of them just not me." I said to him.

He didn't even talk. He just nodded before getting up and walking away.

"Dang that's cold."The bartender commented.

I hadn't even noticed that he had been listening.

"Yeah well he isn't my type." I shrugged.

"Well what is your type?" He asked.

I thought about it and came up blank until thoughts of Gabriel invaded my head. I quickly shook it off. I was here to forget him not think about him all the more.

"I actually don't know." I replied.

"Well you better know quickly. I see you getting a lot of stares. You better pick one quick." He warned and I groaned.

"Can I get your strongest cocktail please? I think I need it to get through the night. The bottle clearly isn't working." I said and he nodded getting to work.

I watched him mix the drinks before placing a colourful drink in front of me with a lime wedge and salt. Someone say next to me again and the bartender winked before walking away. I grabbed the glass and drained it in one go before quickly grabbing a lemon slice and sucking on it.

"Damn you can drink." The new stranger said and I turned to him ready to turn him down.

The alcohol was already getting to me and I needed to find someone quick and the fuckboy next to me just wouldn't do.

I had been here two hours already turning down each guy who approached me and getting more drunk with each new order. All the guys who I had seen tonight had a mistake. They were either too tall or not tall enough. I didn't like the way they dressed or talked. They didn't interest me in the least. In short they weren't Gabriel. Damn you Gabriel. My life was perfect before you showed up. Why did you have to ruin everything? I thought to myself feeling annoyed.

"Baby girl you've been here for more than two hours and you're already drunk. Whatever your looking for you won't find it here." The bartender said.

I was lying my head on the bar counter playing with the used lemon slices.

"I know but I don't want to go back to my place. There's someone there I'm avoiding." I replied.

"Why? Is anyone hurting you?" He asked his voice laced with concern.

"No not that but I may hurt him."

"Oh okay. But you need to go home anyway." He said and I nodded sitting up.

"Can I get one vodka bottle to go please?" I requested struggling to use my phone to get a ride home.

A new bottle of Vodka was placed in front of me.

"Need help with that?" He asked.

"Yes please." I said handing him my phone. I was seeing double. I just needed to lay my head down for a minute and I did just that.

I must have passed out because next I felt was someone shaking me awake.

"Miss your uber is here." The bartender informed me and I got up.

I slid off the high stool and wobbled on my feet but steadied myself with the counter.

"Thank you." I said and he nodded.

I took the receipt from under the Vodka bottle and struggled with it but I finally made out the numbers. I grabbed the money from my bag plus a huge tip and handed it over to the bartender.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Alex."

"My name is Nia. Thank you for looking out for me Alex. Have a great night. Ill see you next time." I said.

"Nice to meet you Nia. Hopefully it will be a better meeting than this one."

"Probably not. Goodnight." I said.

"Goodnight." He replied.

I grabbed my clutch, phone and vodka bottle and staggered out of there. The uber was waiting right outside and I got into the backseat and lying down. The only thing I could think about was fuck you Gabriel. This is all your fault. Those were my last thoughts before I passed out again.

I was woken up by the sound of arguing. It was cold and I was lying on hard leather surface. I tried to move but I couldn't. Why had I drunk so much again? Oh Yeah Gabriel.

"You didn't have to handle her like that." One very familiar voice shouted. Gabriel. Yes. No. I wasn't so sure.

"It's my car man and I have other customers. She needs to leave." Another voice replied.

"Okay fine. How much does she owe you?" The familiar voice asked. He was angry.

"Six hundred." The other angry one replied.

There was some shuffling"Here. Keep change and learn how to respect women. You were born by one." The husky familiar voice demanded.

"Yeah whatever man." The other guy said before I felt someone pick me up bridal style from wherever I was lying and I was pulled into someone's warm hands. All I know is that they felt familiar and this person smelled good. I could feel us moving.

"Why do you do this to yourself?" The voice asked.

"Because I don't know anything else." I replied honestly.

The person who I was getting more and more sure was Gabriel sighed out loud.

"Oh Miss. Daring. What am I going to do with you?" He asked.

"You could fuck me but...but.. you already rejected me once." I replied slurring my words.

I heard him sigh again.

"Stop that."

"What?"

"The sigh. It's not attractive." I replied and he laughed. That ticking beautiful laugh that I wished I was sober enough to enjoy.

Suddenly I felt him stop and more shuffling where he tossed me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Heeey." I protested.

"Sorry but I need to get your keys. It's either this or the floor." He explained.

"Oh." I said an opened my eyes.

I was face to face with his cute butt. I giggled and poked him.

"No. Don't do that. Stop it or ill drop you." He warned but I didn't stop and continued poking him.

Suddenly I felt myself being flipped over and I came face to face with a frowning Gabriel.

"Why'd you pull me away? I liked your butt. It was one of the first things I noticed about you."I admitted and hiccupped.

"Really now?" He asked with a smile.

"Yes." I said poking his dimples and hiccupped again.

"Okay time for bed." He said and we moved again. I felt him carry me and place me on my bed. It was blurry so I could be sure. He took off my shoes and accessories before leaving.

"Don't go." I said holding out my hands for him.

"I'll be back." He said and left.

I struggled to get up but always ended up dizzy and falling back on the bed. After a while in silence I heard him come back. He helped me sit up and drink some water. He then proceeded to wipe off my make up for me. He did all this as I just sat there and let him do it. He was so gentle.

Finally be helped me into bed and covered me with my warm blanket.

I grabbed his arm before he could walk away again.

"Do you think I'm sexy?" I asked struggling to keep my eyes open.

"Yes. Very." He replied.

"Then why did you reject me?" I asked.

"Because you deserve more than a drunk meaningless tumble in the sheets." He replied and I smiled.

"Only you would say that Teddy bear. Goodnight." I replied and heard him chuckle.

"Goodnight my little spitfire." He said.

I could have sworn he kissed my forehead but I couldn't be too sure because I passed out soon after he said those words.
