Clarity's POV

San Diego, California.

In the past three years as I worked in Jones Design, the company was growing rapidly. When I was started to work in the company, we had twenty employees and now we have sixty five. We had lots of big projects and I get to traveling around California. I'm that type of person who able to quickly adapt with any situation and anyone, that's why the Company sent me to the out of town's project. Well, I think that's not the only reasons though. I think because the lack of my love life part and being single forever makes me easier to travel everywhere. It's been three years and I only been to a one date and it was with my co-worker plus best friend.

Not that I complained though. I am very much grateful for my job and my new life here. My life has never been better since. And I never feel like belong to somewhere else but here.

It's our annual end year meeting. All of Jonas Design's staff were gather in the conference room in one of the local hotel that we booked.

"We started as a small companies. I remembered ten years ago when I was starting the business, I only had five employee including me." Mrs. Rosalie Jones was at the front, speaking while held a microphone on her left hand as she wave her right hand in to the screen that shows the journey of the company. She continue with a story with each photograph that shown on the screen. There were lots of photograph and video of recap of our biggest project and in the end of the slide show us the graphic of the company. The progress was rising higher in the last three years.

"We won't be here today, if it not for the hard work, team work, and the long hours that everyone in this room's pull." She said while pointing the red pointers to the top of the graphic. She continued to complement each one of the Project Leader and thank everyone for their hard working.

"And as we all know that this year's also been an amazing year for all of us. Thanks to our girl, Clarity, we ship the deal with Mr. Adalhard, and lead us to tons of amazing project—" Mrs. Rosalie Jones said as she smiles and pointing her finger to my direction. I smile shyly and nod to her direction. "—and of course as I promise, that would make a big bonus for our pocket this year." She continue and receiving big applause and shouting of happiness from everyone in the meeting room. Sarah and Ethan that sat on my sides each pat my shoulder while Sarah was squealing in happiness.

It was eighteen months ago when I got promoted into a Senior-Architect, I am so lucky that I met Mr. Adalhard. He was the owner of one of the biggest Oil Company in America. Long story short, was my first big project was seal the deal to design his gigantic Mansion. Both the Architect-Engineer and the interior design. We just finished the project three weeks ago with lots of bonus flying into Jonas Design and my personal bank account.

My Bosses know about it. I tell them. The last thing I want is a guilt trip or an accusation of me playing dirt in this company. Mrs. Rosalie Jones said it's a normal thing if clients would give us some personal gift and she's cool with it as long as it didn't harm the company. Besides she said that I deserved it because I worked on almost every weekend to make sure that the project went well. Well, I had to because aside from Mr. Adalhard's Mansion, I got another project from him. He entrusted us to design his brand new Hotel. And not to mention another project from our other clients. So God help me, five days in a week is not enough for me to make sure all of the project went smoothly.

All of the attention was back to Mrs. Rosalie Jones as she continued to speak. "Now, now. Okay I understand that all of you were so eager to receive that cheque. But there's still some important information that we'd like to share as well." Mrs. Rosalie took a couple steps forward. "The board has decided to expand our business to North America." She continue and looking at my direction. "As you all know that Sarah has been living in New York for five months now, and she can help all of the process to opening our branch there. And of course we also need a team to send to New York as well.—" There were some gasps heard. Sarah was moving happily in her seat while looking at me with a wide smile. "—We already chose some of you, and those are: Sarah Jones—"

Sarah was opening her mouth wide and glaring at her mother, Mrs. Rosalie because she just said her old name. She's married now, and she changed her last name from Jones to Price. It was her husband last name. "Oh I'm sorry, I still didn't get used to it that my daughter already married and changed her last name." She chuckled while almost everyone in the room was low chuckled too. "Okay I shall continue. Sarah Price, David Smith, Cole Brown, Olivia Moore, and Clarity Adam. But if some of you are objected you can come up to the office."

I turn to my right to see a wide-smiling Sarah. Her eyes was glowing and I could feel a happiness radiate from her and it made me also smiling wider. We were secretly screaming happiness into each other. I know that she must be had something behind this. She must be telling something to her Mother so that I could be placed in the New York team. That's the thing about me and Sarah. We were instantly clicked and become best friend since the first time we met. Sometimes we even communicate to each other by only sharing a look. She's the sweetest friend and always looking out for me. Like my big sister, even though I was bigger than her.

Sarah was married to her husband Andrew Price last year and she had to move to New York. She's still working for Jonas Design from there as our Website Development and Social Media Management. But she's still contributing a lot for couple of our projects as she also had a good taste in Interior Design.

Then I turn to my left to see a pouty Ethan. He was looking down at his hands that he put above his thigh. I held my giggle, I barely see him upset. He was that kind of goofy person and the room will always lit up with his joke and flirts. He was the life of the party as Sarah said. Deep down I think I know why he's so upset. Because two of his best friend, Sarah and me was now going to move to New York. I squeeze his hand and he's looking up to my eyes. He gave me a week smile and put his other hand on top of mine and squeeze it softly. He took the opportunity to intertwine our fingers.

I guess I'm going to New York. I smiled to myself.
