Big kid words! And the story of Y/n and Yui!

There sat y/n she was in the waiting room thing left alone for her. She and Yui would be starting off the games. The first fight of the one v one. But all y/n could feel is just hoping that Yui and her wouldn't change after this. She didn't want to use Yui, the hugs, curry nights, and sleepovers. Soup when your sick and dying, tea when family arguments happen. Late-night talks about the world and feelings. Yui was really the only person y/n had shown real emotion other them angry, excitement, and boredom. 

And y/n was the only one that Yui showed emotion attachment and actually expression too. Y/n and Yui had bonded about feeling out, and they just got back to seeing each other since y/n came back from her suspension. And it's all funny when you come to think that it all started with one raccoon.

'Y/n was feared by people, at she knew it. Always keeping to herself and hiding her overall joy in making jokes. Y/n began to grow some dose of the social anxiety, leading her into eating her lunch behind the school. Hiding from literally everyone is slight. Every day when Y/n would make her way behind the building, she would see the same raccoon on the branches of the trees that stood behind the school, creating a short of forest fine. 

There y/n would break off her egg salad sandwich and give the raccoon half of it, sharing is caring kids. The raccoon was normal, black and gray. The only that made the raccoon really stand out to y/n was the small white marking on the raccoons tail. Y/n nicked the raccoon tails and every day they would eat the same egg salad sandwich and enjoy the quiet.  

But little did Y/n know at the time there was a certain raven-haired girl watching over. Yui always aye lunch in the classroom. By the window facing towards the forest behind the school, Yui would have a few people around her but she never felt really normal with them. She never really had any emotions to show on her face, when everyone else did. Making Yui feel kinda out of place. But then there was this girl, y/n a girl that was in the same daycare, grade school, and now that the moment middle school classes with y/n. Yui would feel short of interest in her, so she just simply would watch her. just stalking or anything, just a glance or two. 

Yui would eat her lunch, and glance down to see y/n eating alone with the raccoon. Yui just felt that it was kinda nice to see y/m be herself alone like that, y/n seemingly talking to the animal, jumping around in the trees is the raccoon and even play around with the animal. So as time would go on, the weather was getting colder and the year of the first year of middle school for the girls was going to end soon. And as the weather got colder, means y/n wasn't allowed to go outside to play with tails. Leading Y/n to be forced to eat lunch in the classroom with everyone else. 

One faithful day, y/n was eating her sandwich when she saw tails outside the window. On a branch staring at her. Y/n seemed to just click at the momma, her quite and "normal" Persona dropped as she opened the window wide letting the raccoon into the room. Of course, people were freaking out that a wide animal had gotten in and some began to run off, and some tried to get y/n away from the raccoon. But only for tails to be protective and try to claw those classmates away. And more screaming, the teacher calling animal protection services and running out. 

Y/n wouldn't want to lose tails so she would pick the raccoon up, and ran straight into the bathroom to hide from everyone. Yui would follow and some thick tension would fill the room. Yui opening the window to give the hint to let the raccoon off into the woods instead of staying here. Y/n understood the hint and placed tails onto a branch, making a hand motion to run. And the raccoon would follow. 

After the raccoon was away, leaving Yui and Y/n alone. "U-uh thanks.." Y/n choked out. Refusing to make the simplest of eye contact, and overall afraid that Yui would snap at her. But Yui didn't, she just introduced herself "I'm Kodai Yui, we're in the class. Nice to meet you." Leaving y/n starstruck, "L/n Y/n! It's nice to meet you as well."  Of course, they introducing each other didn't make them ultra best friends but it did start both of them to notice each other more and more. 

Y/n would walk home alone, and Yui noticed that they both went the same way. Leaving Yui and Y/n to walk home with each other. Talking about life and school and soon the girls began to eat together behind the school. Eating their own egg salad sandwich.' 

Y/n was freaking out as the walked through the halls, the time has come for the fight and currently, y/n was regretting herself even being strong enough to make it to this. But just as she walked, it was like the flashbacks of their friendship was coming back one by one. 

'the time they sat in the in an abandoned car at the junk car, with y/n breaking down about her family and the fear of her quirk. "i-i just don't understand why I'm such a monster to be around. I'm sorry if your sc-scared of me but I'm just so tired of everyone thinking I'm a monster" y/n 1would choke out in between sobs.' 

Y/n walked up to the fighting thing, walking up the stairs. Present mic's booming voice was only in the background for her as he explained the rules and a little bit about the quirks of Yui and y/n. But all ran through the minds of both of them was panic and worry.

'it was the summer of ninth grade, the thought's of highschool filled the minds. The plan for Yui and y/n was to go to a normal high school and be normal. Both not thinking their quirks wouldn't suit for a hero. But that all changed when y/n's parents found a way to fix the reunion for them. Y/n going to u.a and becoming a hero. with both girls arrived they'll lose each other, "Yui I don't wanna ruin your dreams of being normal. you always wanted to just owe a flower shop by the beach!" y/n responded to Yui when the idea of her joining her journal in u.a. "I don't wanna ruin that dream." ' 

The game had begun, Y/n already running to attack Yui. and Yui dogging and them pulling her own attack. this went one over and over when Yui was getting tired of that. Deciding to make the ground below them smaller, making a pothole which went onto a little game throwing stones at each other from the rumble. it was let some play fighting up the more and more Yui struck the ground below them, it was known that they were going to hit water level soon.

Y/n grumbled, hating the fact that her quirk was useless for this moment. As she tried to catch up with the very striking ground below her the pressure of everything was hitting her, her parents would be so disappointed, everyone would go think she was weak and just childish, she'll get yelled at by her father for being a disgrace, her mother would go insane and lose all cool. Just as the thoughts of what will happen to her filled her head, she was going insane slowly.

' "don't worry, we could always open the flower shop after we finish being hero's." Yui said in a calm tone, as  y/n tried to argue "my dream is to be with y/n." Yui stated." cause. ill always love you, no matter what".' 

As that last memory came, y/n was on the ground after Yui managed to grab y/n and pull her down.

Yui had won, and y/n lost. 

as the crowd cheered for the victory from Yui and the class of two b felt sad and happy for their classmates, Yui helped y/n get up pulling her into a hug. "I'll always love you. will you always love me?" Yui asked. Y/n turned the hug as tears began to randomly fall down her eyes, "yes, I'll always love you." she responded.
