Tension.

It's all you can see and feel once you enter Mingyu's room right now. He is sitting on the bed while Joshua is sitting beside him on the chair. Jungkook and Jimin are seated at the couch nearby. There's a table placed in front of them which has fruits and a few drinks brought in by the servants. The two people from the Orion did not even touch them though because you can never trust another gang.

"Where's Taehyung? Look, we don't have all day." Jimin says, not liking the way literally everyone here is staring at him as if he's an alien.

"I sent someone to call him. Just wait for a while longer." Joshua says. As soon as he finishes that statement, Taehyung enters the room and takes Jungkook's breath away.

He is standing by the door, looking all handsome and relaxed. All these days, he has been a little--- no, no, very stressed. "Good evening, everyone." He says and steps inside.

His gaze fixes on Jungkook's who is already looking at him. They hold the eye contact for a few seconds but Taehyung is the one to break it first. This is a professional meeting. He cannot appear as if he is ready to rip apart Jungkook's clothes in an instant.

"Good evening, Taehyung. Please take a seat." Jimin says making Taehyung laugh a bit, "You surely made yourself feel at home, Jimin."

"Definitely. After all, it's my best friend's house." Jimin says, crossing his legs as if he owns this place. Jungkook throws him a glare but he could care less. He has seen Taehyung relieved after so long and it makes him genuinely happy because according to him, the boy deserves it.

Mingyu clears his throat to grab everyone's attention. Taehyung looks at his brother and smiles. He walks closer to him and asks if he is alright. "I feel better now." Mingyu replies with a smile too. Taehyung wants to have a peaceful conversation because he does not want a headache but when two powerful and equally strong headed mafia bosses are present in the same room, that is not really possible.

"Okay, so let's begin this meeting. I called you guys here to talk about-" Mingyu starts but immediately shuts his mouth when the door abruptly opens.

Everyone's eyes fall on Mr. Kim who is standing by the door. He has an angry look on his face when he enters the room. Mingyu looks at him and gulps, "D-Dad, I didn't know you were joining the meeting."

"Well, isn't that what we call lack of communication? It's hazardous for a gang, Mingyu." Jungkook mocks. He knows there's a lot of drama coming but he is relaxed because he has told a lot of stuff that he needed to tell Taehyung earlier if not all.

"Oh, shut up, Jeon! Where are your manners? Won't you greet me?" Mr. Kim shoots daggers at the ravenette with his eyes which look very similar to Mingyu.

"Ummm.... As far as I remember, Mingyu is the leader of the Yakuza and I'm the boss of Orion. So am I really obliged to greet you first when you are not even a part of their inner circle anymore?" Jungkook frowns. He believed Mr. Kim was an honourable man but when Mingyu literally went on to destroy the Orion and he didn't stop him, he lost all his respect for him. I mean, of course, the old man might not even have a say because the bosses are not obliged to act upon the suggestions of the inner circle--- or anyone but Jungkook is just mad. He's mad at the whole Yakuza--- to the point that he could destroy them right now, right here. But he is just holding up because of Taehyung.

"Now, now, young man. You don't talk to your elders like that. Have your parents not taught you basic manners?" The older man smirks, knowing that he pressed a nerve when he sees Jungkook's expressions falter a little.

His parents are a sensitive topic for him. He lost his mother at a very tender age and his father is no more, thanks to the son of the man in front of him. Taehyung notices his expressions darkening as his palms curl into fists and his teeth clenches.

"Dad, you can join the meeting too. Just don't be mean, please." Taehyung interrupts. He feels like there's a need to handle the two sides by understanding the both of them. On one side is his family while on the other side is the guy he loves a lot.

"I'm being mean? First of all, you invite the boss of Orion to our hideout which means you basically revealed one of our hideouts to them. Then, even after being in our territory, he is the one who is being disrespectful and yet you think-" Jungkook tsks, stopping Mr. Kim from talking.

"Didn't you guys know about our hideout too?" Jungkook taunts. All the eyes fall on him. Taehyung looks confused as his heart thumps in his chest. He thought he was the only person in the Yakuza who knew about their hideout. What if they blame him for revealing their hideout?

"What? I never knew!" Mr. Kim exclaims. Jungkook ignores him and sets his eyes on Mingyu who looks equally clueless. "I know you guys had a hideout in Japan because according to the treaty, we can have one hideout in each other's territory but... I never knew the location."

"You really didn't, Mingyu? Come on now, lying is not a good habit." Jungkook says in a dangerously calm voice. Taehyung is not able to understand what he is trying to say. What are they talking about?

"Uhh... Jungkook, there are other people too so would you mind giving us the context?" Taehyung raises his hand, as if he is asking a question in class. Even though Jungkook is mad, the cute pout on the brunette's face calms him down a little.

"So... a year or so ago, our previous hideout in Japan got raided by the police. We almost got caught but Mingyu right here stepped into the matter and negotiated with them. Now, no one really knows about our hideout and I'm sure it's Mingyu." Jungkook finishes speaking.

Mingyu raises his eyebrow and looks at him questioningly, "And that is enough proof for you to blame me? Why the fuck would I do that? I don't even see you as a potential threat." Mingyu says. Jungkook just laughs at his statement. He knows that all of them present here are really good actors. Taehyung is included in that too. That guy should've been an actor instead of being an artist.

"Why? I know you're after us Mingyu. You want the Orion and-" Jungkook starts but Taehyung cuts him off, "That's where you're wrong, Jungkook. You're the one who wants to take over the Yakuza. It isn't the other way round."

Mr. Kim looks from the ravenette, to his son and back to the ravenette. He raises his eyebrows and take deep breaths to calm down a little before he starts talking, "You want to take over us? Why? I thought we had a treaty. We are in an alliance, Jeon."

Jimin looks at the older man, not really liking the way he is talking to his best friend. Nobody is supposed to talk to him like that. He is literally the mafia king. "Mr. Kim, are you just trying to protect your son or are you really that clueless?" Jimin questions him.

Mr. Kim look at his elder son, eyes full of questions."What is he talking about?" He demands. Mingyu shakes his head, not understanding what's going on. "I don't know."

"Oh you really don't? You told Tae that we're after you guys but did you ever think about trying to find out the reason?" Jungkook asks through gritted teeth. He is so angry right now. He never wanted to let Mingyu know about his plan of wanting to take over the Yakuza until he really does it. But the way the other is acting all clueless irked him. He might as well just give him an open challenge and walk out of this room.

"You don't know, right? Or are you just pretending to be the nice guy in front of your brother so that he too, turns against me? You allowed me to be with Taehyung so that we rekindle our love and then you talk crap about me, use him to make me weak and then take over the Orion. That's your plan, right?" Jungkook demands. Taehyung looks horrified. He glances from Jungkook to Mingyu turn by turn. Was that really his brother's plan? He does know that Mingyu is ambitious so maybe it's possible.

"Love? What's love got to do with this?" Mr. Kim shoots daggers with his eyes at his younger son.

"This family has some serious communication issues." Jimin mutters.

"Dad, I---" Taehyung cannot find the right words.

"Dad, can you please stop interrupting? We can talk about this when we're alone, yeah? Let us talk about the important matter at hand. We need to clear this confusion." Mingyu says with slight authority in his voice. He knows he should not be talking to his father like this but he is making everything so difficult for them. He just got a headache because of him.

"And Jeon, do you even need a reason to come after us? We all know that you're hungry for power. You've already taken over a lot of gangs so I won't be surprised if you try to take over the Yakuza as well." Mingyu says and Jungkook looks at him in disbelief. How can he not even have the slightest clue?

"I'm sorry to say but Kim Mingyu, are you dumb?" Jimin asks.

"I think you need to shut up, midget. Let them talk. Do you see me talking?" Joshua glares at Jimin who glares back at him, "Well then, no one told you to be quiet."

"I thought this was supposed to be a meeting, not a fucking fish market." Taehyung raises his voice to stop them from bickering among themselves. Everyone stops and looks at the brunette who has an annoyed expression on his face. Taehyung's had enough. Why can't both the sides just sit quietly and talk like decent people.

"Taehyung, don't talk when you're not even associated with the working of the Yakuza." His father rolls his eyes and his younger son looks at him in disbelief. "What? I'm not associated with the working of the Yakuza? Then who was it who stayed awake all night just to lessen the burden on you?" Taehyung cannot help but feel hurt. What his father said just now is really inconsiderate of him. It's as if he does not appreciate any of his efforts.

"Stop acting emotional, Tae. Not the right time seriously." Mr. Kim's sentence even makes Jungkook angry. He has seen how hard Taehyung worked for his gang just because he did not want his family to feel burdened. He has given him advice himself so he knows how much dedication he worked with.

"Mr. Kim, you can't talk to him like that." Jungkook says, throwing a stern glance at him.

"Oh and now you will tell me how I'm supposed to talk to my own son?" The angry older man demands.

"Well, I suggest you go and get your eyes checked. Aging is doing you no good. Why can't you see that Taehyung set aside his own career so that he could help you?" Jungkook pinches the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"Oh it's his duty to help us. I totally support what he does but he needs to know his responsibilities in times of emergency and apparently, my son really does know all that so don't you dare lecture me about it." Mr. Kim raises his voice. He is getting annoyed that Jungkook is just jumping between him and his son while they are talking.

"Oh God! Dad! Can you please calm down? This is not even the point of discussion. I didn't call them here to talk about this." Mingyu almost begs. He does not know why his father is behaving like this. He has a guess though and it's related to Jungkook and Taehyung having a past. But is it really that big of a deal? He doesn't understand.

"Look, he cannot come here and say all sort of things to me in my own territory." Mr. Kim says again.

"Dad, I think you are the one who is making it a big deal. The Yakuza and Orion have been having this alliance for years. You signed the treaty yourself. What are you so upset about?" Taehyung asks. He is on the verge of spilling tears. When he called Jungkook, he hoped that they could clear whatever the misunderstanding was. He hoped that they could be a little civil to each other and then maybe everyone would be safe but his father, who is a usually calm person, decided to take all his anger out in this meeting.

"I signed the deal with Jeon Jinhwan. Not with this bastard Jeon Jungkook who wants to backstab us while being in the alliance." His father grits his teeth.

"Don't take my father's name from that mouth of yours." Jungkook warns him.

"Why? Why can't you listen, huh? Your father was ten times better than you. He wasn't pathetic like you... falling in love with someone you can't have and trying to take over your lover's gang for your own selfish reasons. It's a shame that your father is dead. He must be so disappointed in you. He-" Mr. Kim would've continued with his nonsense if Taehyung didn't covered his ears with his hands and shout, "STOP! FUCKING STOP IT, DAD!"

All the heads turn in Taehyung's direction as a sob escapes his mouth while a drop of tear does the same from his eyes. "WHY ARE YOU TALKING SO MUCH WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING?"

"T-Tae..." His father's voice turns utterly soft and he starts walking closer to his younger son but Taehyung just moves away. "D-Don't do this, dad. Please don't." He whispers, so softly that if there wasn't a pin drop silence in the room, no one would be able to hear him.

"You should talk to Jungkook nicely. He at least d-deserves it after what you all did with his f-father." Taehyung sobs, getting overwhelmed with many different kinds of emotions; sadness, guilt, annoyance.

"W-What are you talking about, Tae?" Mingyu asks this time. He looks at his brother and then at Jungkook who looks so sad. This reminds him of the night when he cried in his arms.

He slowly walks closer to the ravenette and holds his hand. He looks at his brother and father with a stern expression, "I suggest dad should calm down and hyung, you should tell him what happened when you and Jungkook's father were supposed to have your last meeting. Also tell him about the video you made for me. Tell him everything and when I come back with Jungkook, there should be absolutely no confusion, chaos and unnecessary screaming." Taehyung's voice holds a command that makes everyone nod their heads.

The brunette looks at Jungkook who is already staring at him. He intertwines their hands together and pulls him with himself, leading them out of the room. "You should come with me for a while, Kookie." He says, his tone is so soft that Jungkook finds himself agreeing to him.

"T-Thank you, Tae, for what you did for me back there. I didn't think you would stand up against your own family for me." He says in an equally soft voice.

"I always stand up for what's right. You and your father should get the justice you deserve. I'll make sure to find out what went wrong that night, okay? Even though I hope my family didn't do it, I would still support what's right." Taehyung says and Jungkook nods his head. These are one of those days when he is so happy again. Taehyung has slowly started listening to him too and he cannot thank God enough for that.
