3rd update in a little over 24 hours. I'm nice, right? Since I updated so frequently, please read the announcement at the end and comply to it if you can as a thank you hehe.

"If it wasn't for your brother, my father would be alive today."

The ravenette's words make the ground slip from beneath Taehyung's feet. Did he really say that? Why would Mingyu do that? I mean, of course he can do that because he is the leader of an organised crime group but why would he kill Jungkook's father? The previous leaders of both the groups had signed the treaty after analysing everything so it does not make sense that Mingyu would do something like that, right?

"What do you mean?" He softly asks, knowing that he cannot yell at Jungkook after knowing this. He should not. That's basic manners.

"Do you now want to go somewhere else and talk to me?" Jungkook asks with a small smile. Taehyung finds himself nodding after thinking for a while. He did not want to talk to Jungkook alone earlier because he thought that if he mentions that he knows the ravenette is after the Yakuza, he might get mad and do something to him in anger. But now he somehow has faith that whatever happens, Jungkook won't do anything wrong to him. He wouldn't hurt him. If he wanted to, he could've done that much earlier.

"Follow me." Jungkook says and starts walking. A lot of things are going on in his mind. He is thinking so hard that you could see wheels rotating inside his head if that was possible.

Being lost in thoughts, Jungkook does not notice the stairs in front of him and ends up tripping. Taehyung, who is following him closely behind, immediately crouches down and grabs his bicep. "A-Are you okay?" He asks but avoids eye contact.

"Yeah." Jungkook avoids eye contact too and gets up with the help of the other.

"Are you drunk?" Taehyung suddenly asks, not liking the idea of talking to him about something so serious when he is drunk.

"I'm not drunk. J-Just a little tipsy." Jungkook says and starts leading the away again. Soon they reach an empty room. Taehyung notices that the room is really big with dark, modern interior.

When he steps inside, the other male closes the door and looks at him. "I hope you don't mind. I don't... want my group members to see me at the w-weak moment I'm about to have." Jungkook tells him honestly. He is not scared to show his weak side to Taehyung. He loves him too much to hide anything from him or lie to him. He has already done all this a lot.

Taehyung, on the other hand, is surprised. He never thought someone as powerful as Jungkook would accept the fact that he is going to have a moment of weakness. That too, in front of someone who is actually this mad at him.

"Okay." He replies in a small voice.

Jungkook walks over to his bed and sits down. He pats at the place next to him and smiles at the other. It's an indication for him to follow him so he does and sits beside him. He looks at Jungkook expectantly but decides to not say anything first. He would give time to him to start on his own, whenever he is comfortable.

"So uh... Mingyu took over the Yakuza before I took over the Orion. I wasn't supposed to take over until I finished off my college but... seems like fate had different plans for me." Jungkook has his eyes cast down. He looks so sad and deeply troubled. Taehyung has never seen this kind of look on Jungkook's face and it kind of scares him. He decides to let him speak whatever he has on his mind without interrupting.

"I had to take over the Orion just a month and a half after you left the college. For several months, I managed both college and my gang at the same time and believe me, it's not easy at all." Jungkook confesses.

"I know." Taehyung mumbles softly. Of course he knows. He had to juggle between running errands for Mekong and his studies. Such a simple task was also not easy. Well, it was not an easy task really but compared to what Jungkook did, it was a piece of cake.

"After you left, there was a meeting of the Orion and the Yakuza in Japan. The time and venue was fixed by your hyung. It was his first meeting and... when my dad went there along with J-Jimin's father who was his right hand man, h-he saw there was no one. He thought Mingyu was just late so he decided to wait. But he shouldn't have. If he didn't, he would've been al-alive today. They wouldn't have attacked him them." A sob that Jungkook had been trying to suppress for a while now finally erupts.

Taehyung looks at him with sad eyes. He cannot believe Mingyu would do that. In the Yakuza, they are always taught to work on a trust based manner. Don't backstab someone who is your friend. In this case, their ally because in the end, karma gets you. Don't be a snake if you don't want a snake in your territory. That's what they've always been taught. So Mingyu doing this and basically going against their own policy does not sound like him.

Jungkook is sobbing badly and it doesn't look like he is lying either. But is it even safe to trust him? Taehyung decides to hear the whole story first so he tells him to continue.

"Mingyu had called my dad alone. He had s-said that he would come there alone so he should too. Dad found it sus-suspicious so he negotiated with him and both of them ag-agreed that they could bring their right-hand men." Jungkook says and tries to calm his breath first so that he does not stutter much. He doesn't like stuttering.

After he thinks he can talk without stuttering, he continues, "Before they went for the meeting, Yoongi hyung suggested him to go with a hidden microphone attached to his clothes. When they... did not hear anything for a while, they decided to go in and check. When they reached there... they saw..." Jungkook closes his eyes as tears keep rolling down his cheeks. He gasps a little for air when he sees the smiling face of his father flashing in front of his eyes.

Taehyung rolls his tongue on his dry lips and slowly gets closer to the other. He wraps his arms around Jungkook and pulls his body into his own. "Th-They saw my d-dad and Jimin's dad laying in a p-pool of blood. They were not m-moving. N-Not breathing and they saw Mingyu with J-Joshua. They stood there with their guns in their hands and... they killed my father, Tae. Jimin's dad s-survived though but not m-mine." Jungkook wails. It's like his deepest wounds have been cut open once again. He has a hard time breathing.

His hands clutch at the back of Taehyung's jacket and he hides his face in the crook of his neck. The brunette is speechless. He doesn't know how to console the crying ravenette when his heart is crying with along him.

Did Mingyu really do that? If he did, then he is disappointed in him. "I... I was al-already having a hard time digesting the fact that... you left me, Tae. I've... I've l-loved you for the longest time and... when you left, you left this void within me that I couldn't fill. After a few days, I f-found out that our allies, the gang that we t-trusted the most betrayed us and killed my father, I was furious. I knew I had to take revenge. S-So I decided to take over the Yakuza and make Mingyu b-beg for mercy but I won't spare him. How d-dare he kill my father? My mother p-passed away when I was still a child. I just remember fragments of m-memories about her.

All my life, I trained hard to impress my d-dad and to be able to prove to him that I'm indeed capable of taking over his place. I never really wanted to be a mafia boss though but my fate was tied to the Orion. So I asked my dad if I could... spend a few years as I wish before starting as a mafia boss. I wanted to play football and dance. But my dad passed away and I had no choice. I wanted to take revenge. You are mad at me for wanting to take over the Yakuza but you tell me Taehyung, wouldn't you be mad if someone you trust betrayed you and did what happened to my father, with yours? You'd be mad, right?" Jungkook takes a pause and pulls back from the embrace, just a little to observe Taehyung's expression.

The brunette nods. He cannot imagine what happened to Jungkook's father to happen to his. He would be furious. He would be mad and even though he hates blood and killing, he won't stay away from it if he had to use it to protect his own people.

"Then do you still think that... me wanting to take r-revenge on the Yakuza is wrong?" Jungkook asks. Taehyung finds himself shaking his head. The ravenette looks so weak, so broken that all Taehyung wants to do is take his pain away. He doesn't know how to do that though. So he brings Jungkook back in his embrace and puts his head on his shoulder.

He threads his long fingers through his hair and whispers right next to his ear, "Cry as much as you want, Kookie. I promise to take your pain away."
