Hey lovelies! If you haven't finished reading the book, then don't read this. It contains spoilers. We're gonna talk about the book so DO NOT PROCEED WITHOUT FINISHING THE BOOK.

I'm here to answer your "Why author-nim?" questions.

I'm going to explain the ending--- why I did what I did so please hear me out.

Sometimes, some people walk into your life, make you smile, become an important part of your life and then they leave. It's times like those when you think--- I really don't understand why destiny allowed some people to meet, when they were not meant to be together.

Life isn't full of unicorns and rainbows. You'll have to deal with storms and thunders too. There are always going to be pebbles on the roads you walk on. Life is just--- life. It's not good or bad. It's just a compilation of many genres, like a book. You have your happy moments, sad moments, you fall in love, you get heartbroken, you fall but you get up, dust off the dirt and start walking again.

That's life.

You've heard 'Film Out' by BTS, right?

It's talking about someone who is there but at the same time isn't--- someone who was there. Someone they lost but still haven't let them go because they still live inside them, like the heart projecting something that's no longer there but unable to accept it. The feeling of missing.

^Please read what's written in the picture above. It's what BTS taught us through the song. It's all a part of life.

That's what I wanted you all to understand through this book.

I know some of you would say, "It's just fiction and you could've ended it differently." But---

Fictions are taken from reality. They are a mirror to how life actually is.

This is the first and last time I'm writing this kind of an ending because it makes me sad too. I made these characters so it's not easy for me either. I miss Jungkook too. I am heartbroken for Taehyung too. But I also want to explain you a few things. It can't be left just like that.

• Jungkook wanted forgiveness and he was forgiven.

• He wanted Taehyung to fall in love with him and he did.

• He was with the love of his life in his last moments and he was content.

• He wanted Taehyung to find someone with whom he could be happy and Taehyung found that someone in the form of Jeon Somi, his daughter. He still loves Jungkook and considers Somi a blessing in his life who makes him happy.

• They made some beautiful memories that Taehyung cherished for the rest of his life.

• Taehyung found some amazing friends.

There are so many good things that happen in life (and also happened in this book) but we're only focusing on bad things, why? I cried my eyes out while writing the chapter from the tragic night but in the mafia world, it happens. Jungkook couldn't always win. He wasn't invincible. He wasn't God. No one is.

Sometimes we just have to accept fate and take small steps towards a brighter life. It may hurt at first. You may think you won't be able to make it. But that's life. You will gradually get up and smile thinking about the past one day, like Taehyung did in the end.

So according to me, this book doesn't have a sad ending. It has a BITTERSWEET ENDING. And after reading the comments in the last two chapters, I realised that most of the readers understand whatever I said just now. So I'm glad most of my audience is mature enough :)

I hope I was able to make my point clear. I wasn't in a very good mood after I posted the last three chapters but I thought that you guys deserved this bit. You guys deserve an explanation. Not the toxic ones (I don't care about them) but the ones who have stayed with me throughout the journey of this book and supported me.

If you don't like the ending, you can imagine however you like it. Your disappointment is not the author's fault. And honestly, I couldn't imagine this book ending any other way. I think it's beautiful. But I have decided not to do any more endings like this ever because it stresses me in more ways than one.

Also, some of you asked me why there wasn't a warning in the beginning about the ending.

Well, when I started writing the book, I had no idea it would end this way. And actually I'm not in the favour of mentioning what kind of ending would a book have in the beginning. Why? Because then people would expect it and it would be like a spoiler. For me, I never want to know what kind of end a book has until I read it on my own. A lot of people prefer it that way too. Novels don't advertise their plot twists either, neither do films, because it's meant to be a surprise. That delights some people, annoys others, upsets some. It doesn't make plot twists inherently bad.

I did update the warnings in the introduction though and mentioned that this book is not for people who are in a fragile state of mind. And there are enough other warnings to explain that this book has heavy angst. So those are the only warnings that are going to be there. I hope that works.

^So those of you who are worried about people in a delicate state of mind entering the book and getting triggered, these warnings should be enough. If they still come and get disappointed then it's their fault. The author shouldn't be held responsible for the reader's mental health because after all, the author is a stranger to you too.

Now that I've said whatever I wanted to say, thank you again for reading the book. Your comments and your excitement throughout my 'Mine To Love' journey made me so happy. You guys are my lovelies. I love you all, remember that.

Now let's move to my other books which are happy and would make you bubble with excitement. Yes, I'm talking about 'Yours, Taehyung'. Let's read about Idol Jungkook and Stylist Taehyung who are secretly married! Dashi run run🏃‍♀️

Follow me and keep supporting me. Take care of yourself and meet me in my other books!
