An early and long update cause my lovelies deserve it. Pls show extra love by voting and commenting!

Taehyung's exhibition is, as usual, a success. A lot of people have come to the event and the response from the people who came is just phenomenal. Taehyung is so happy. He is so proud of himself. He is also glad that Mingyu did not find out about the exhibition still being on until the event actually started. Beomgyu had made sure that Mingyu doesn't find out about it. That wasn't exactly easy but he made it happen with the help of some other members who are close to the boss. Those men were not ready to help him at first but Beomgyu has the looks and he knows how to use them for his own benefits.

Taehyung and Beomgyu know that Mingyu would find out that they went against him sooner or later but they just don't want him to know that when the exhibition is still going on. That wouldn't be pretty.

On the other hand, the meeting of Orion and the Yakuza is going smoothly at the top floor of the hotel. They discuss all the boring matters that need to be discussed and proceed towards ending the meeting. It's so boring and Jungkook just wants to get up and dash towards Taehyung's exhibition that is happening in some hall downstairs.

He just wants to see Taehyung. He just saw him yesterday but he still misses him if that makes sense. He has been away from him for five years so now he just wants to stay close to him. That's all that he wants. But is it possible? Guess not. It's not possible because a thorn named Kim Mingyu would prevent any romance from budding between them.

"Mr. Kim, it was a pleasure meeting you." Jungkook says, standing up from his seat to leave. Jimin, Namjoon and Yoongi stand up too. Mingyu, on the other hand, just sits there and smirks, "What's the hurry, Jeon Jungkook? Now that we've talked about business, let's talk about personal life. How does that sound, huh?"

Jungkook raises an eyebrow, wondering what this asshole is saying. "I don't think we're close enough to discuss that, Kim Mingyu."

"Oh but I have a bloody good reason why I wanna do that." Mingyu smiles. A hundred thoughts run in Jungkook's mind and he decides to listen to what the other gang leader has to say.

"I wonder what that might be." Jungkook sits back down on the couch. Mingyu stares at Jungkook's men and then back at the ravenette. "Since we are in an alliance, you guys should be assured that I won't do anything to your boss. So can you guys please give me a few minutes to talk to him alone?" Mingyu asks. Everyone's ears perk up in attention. Why does Mingyu want them to leave? What are his intentions?

Jungkook gets more curious. He knows that this wasn't planned and it could be risky but he is well trained too so he can take that much risk, right? He can easily call his men back in if he wants. They would be just outside after all.

Jimin notices that Jungkook is in a fix so he moves closer to him and whispers, "We'll do what you tell us to but do you think this is safe?"

"Well, yeah. We're in a treaty after all. So if Mr. Mingyu decides to play dirty, which I know he wouldn't, he would be in trouble. I hope he is suggesting that after being aware of this." Jungkook says that aloud so that even Mingyu can hear it.

Mingyu laughs, "Of course. It's just a friendly chat, Jungkook. Just like how you're friendly with my brother." A dark look covers Jungkook's face after hearing that.

So he knows.

Did Taehyung tell him? Jungkook wonders. If he did, he wouldn't be surprised. A little disappointed, yes but definitely not surprised. Even though he knows he has no right to be disappointed in the other. And even if Taehyung did not tell him, Mingyu can still find out so he does not want to blame the painter for that. He had already scared Taehyung enough to not let him open his mouth in front of his elder brother.

"What do you want, Mingyu?" Jungkook glares.

"So I'm right, huh?" The older smirks. Jungkook rolls his eyes but decides not to let his anger take over. He always makes the worst decisions when he is mad.

"Send your men away and we can talk about it, Jungkook... peacefully." Mingyu raises his hands up in the air and smiles at the other. Jungkook tilts his head before smiling as well, "I'll send my men away if you send away yours. How's the deal?"

Mingyu is taken aback by the fact that Jungkook actually agreed to talk about it with him. But he really needs to talk so even though he does not want his men to go away from here, he has to send them away. "Wait outside." Mingyu orders his men without looking at them. Jungkook tells his men to wait outside too but in a more polite way than Mingyu. Well, the ravenette is aware that he should respect his men if they have not done anything wrong. Running a big ass mafia group like the Orion is not possible without the support of others.

Once the two of them are alone, Mingyu starts, "So I'm not going to beat around the bush right now. I just want to know a few things."

"Shoot."

"What were you doing at Taehyung's house that night?" The older asks. Jungkook does not know what he should tell him. Whatever he will say would actually not even matter. The fact that he went to Mingyu's brother's house secretly is enough to stir the calmness.

"Well... I just found out that Taehyung lives there and thought I should go and meet him since I'm in Tokyo. We were friends back in college so... " Jungkook says. He decides to tell the partial truth because he knows truth or lie, Mingyu is going to treat it equally.

"Oh, is that it? But friends don't kiss now, do they?" Mingyu smirks making Jungkook's eyes widen. Does he know everything?

"Taehyung told you?"

"No, he didn't. I didn't ask him and even if I had asked him, he would not tell me because he knows I would not support whatever half love story you've had in the past." Mingyu sighs.

"Y-You know about it?" For the first time in life, Jungkook is nervous. He is not nervous because of the leader of the  Yakuza. He is nervous because right now he is talking to the brother of the person who has owned his heart for years.

"Oh I know everything. I'm always aware of what's Taehyung doing, where he is and stuff like that. When he took you with him, at that time he thought I wasn't aware of where he is just because you guys took your car. But one of my men is always watching Taehyung... from a distance. It's for security purposes, of course. I've told him not to meddle in his business, just keep an eye." Mingyu says. Right now, the gang leader does not look like the evil man he is. He just appears like a concerned elder brother.

"Then why didn't you say anything? If you were aware of everything then why are we sitting here and having a civil conversation right now? Shouldn't you be yelling at me and telling me to stay the fuck away from your brother?" Confusion is clearly evident on Jungkook's face.

Mingyu smiles but unlike the many times he's smiled, this one looks more genuine. "Look Jungkook, I know people have this perception about me that I'm cruel and ruthless. Yes, I am. I am all that but--- but I'm not like that when it comes to my brother. He has been through a lot and you were in the same college as him so you probably know that too. I don't want to snatch away any more opportunities from him to be happy, you know?"

"What are you trying to say?" Jungkook asks, putting all his attention solely on the man sitting in front of him.

"What I'm trying to say is that I won't interrupt with whatever is going on between you and Taehyung. I-"

"What? What do you mean by that?" Jungkook asks, suddenly getting too excited. Mingyu raises an eyebrow. He has never seen the younger mafia boss so excited about anything.

"Let me complete, Jeon." Mingyu shakes his head.

"Go on."

"Look, it's clear that Orion and the Yakuza are in a treaty, an alliance that benefits both the groups. I don't know if you like this alliance or you are solely continuing with it because your father was the one who signed the treaty. But that does ensure one thing. It ensures protection. It ensures that both the groups can in no way harm each other because if we do, a blood bath would take place. Now that's something definitely the two of us do not want, do we?" Mingyu asks. Jungkook quickly shakes his head, wanting to ask a hundred questions to the other but he decides to let him finish first.

"Good. I also saw that you protected him that night from whoever the fuck was following you guys. Then five years ago when my men were following you, you shot one of them to save Taehyung even though they were not really a threat to him... or you. They just wanted to talk to Taehyung. It was a confusion. My man thought you were a threat to Tae. One of my men died but you protected my brother. That should mean something, right? When I asked Tae, he wouldn't open his mouth about it so I want to know--- what was going on between you and Taehyung in Seoul?" Mingyu asks, his voice is soft but Jungkook knows that he is not given an option right now because the question sounds more like a demand.

"I...I--- uh the thing is-"

"Who would believe that the big, bad mafia boss would be stuttering like this in front of his lover's brother." Mingyu mocks and that one line brings confidence within Jungkook.

He looks directly in the eyes of the older and says, "I liked Taehyung. I still do and I'm not ashamed in accepting this fact. So if you could just get to the fucking point, I would be glad because I don't have the whole day for you." Jungkook says. He also wants to add that he feels betrayed and disappointed after finding out that Taehyung is actually Mingyu's brother but he does not say that. He did not even get proper time to talk to Taehyung about it so it's not nice to talk about it to Mingyu first.

"Now that's the Jeon Jungkook I know." Mingyu sits back with a look of content on his face.

"So you liked Taehyung and you still do, right?" Mingyu demands.

"Yes, I do."

"Good. Then would you do something for me?"

"Excuse me? Why the fuck would I do anything for you? Sorry to break it to you dude, but I won't even move a fucking stone for you if its not mentioned in the treaty." Jungkook declares. He knows that the other has some ulterior motives and he is not here to fall into some dumb trap that he must have made for him.

"Chill out, dude. It's really simple." Mingyu laughs, seeing how worked up the younger got.

"Didn't I tell you not to waste my time? Get to the point."

"Okay, okay. So basically I think someone is after me... or maybe after the Yakuza as a whole." Mingyu says, making Jungkook's eyes widen.

"What? Who is it this time?"

"I don't know. I want to find that out and I can't trust anyone else with it. I think the person who was following you and Taehyung and the person who you killed at Taehyung's house work for the same person or organisation that is after us." Mingyu says. He looks worried. Jungkook has never seen him this worried before.

"Okay?"

"I know you have captured one of them. I want you to give us that person and information that you found out through him. You know, basically help me figure out who is it." The older's voice is pleading and Jungkook inwardly smirks. He never thought he would see The Kim Mingyu like this.

"You want me to help you catch that group or person basically?"

"Yes."

"And what do I get in return?" The ravenette asks, tilting his head.

"You can have a chance with Taehyung. I won't stop the two of you. My brother deserves happiness anyway." Mingyu says. This makes Jungkook smile. He thought Mingyu would be an obstacle for him but the older himself gave him the permission.

"Really? I can do that?"

"Yes, if you give me that person and help me with my problem, I won't try to meddle in your business."

"That's cool but don't you think you're trusting me a little too much?"

"Look Jungkook, you'll do whatever the fuck you want anyway. I know that and Taehyung does too because he is very much in love with the concept of freedom. I'm trusting you because of the treaty and because I've seen you not harming Taehyung. So I request you to please help us." Mingyu says. Jungkook looks at him with am amused expression but before he could say anything, the door of the meeting room swings open and Jimin and Joshua come rushing inside.

The two bosses look at their right hand men in confusion. "A bomb has been installed in this hotel. We need to hurry. Come on, let's get out of here!" Jimin says, his voice is high pitched due to panic.

Jungkook and Mingyu spring from their seats and make their way towards the door. A thousand questions flood their minds along with anger but right now, they need to save their lives.

"Mingyu, you need to know one more thing." Joshua says. Mingyu gives him a pointed look, "What?"

"Taehyung did not cancel his exhibition. He is still in this hotel." Joshua announces, terrifying Mingyu, Jungkook and Jimin to the core.

"WHAT?" They bark together.

"What the fuck! He never listens, does he?" Mingyu feels like his head would explode.

"I have already informed Beomgyu. He said-" Joshua is interrupted by Jungkook as the ravenette holds his collar and pulls him towards himself, their faces are inches apart.

"Where exactly is he?" He demands.

"Th-Third floor... in the banquet hall." Joshua says. Jungkook and Mingyu both dash towards the banquet hall without caring about their own well-being with Joshua and Jimin following them behind closely.
