Nathan didn't turn around and he certainly didn't stop. It felt like a ridiculous idea but it was the only real choice he had. Stopping meant certain death, so he made a run for it. Could he outrun the MoonEx soldier who would no doubt call for backup? With the distance between the two of them before he ran, his estimation was positive. The only problem would be when they got Rovers involved in the chase.

It didn't take too long for that to happen. Nathan could hear the slight hum of the Rovers behind him. He turned around and counted just two.

"Not bad." He thought.

It took just a few extra strides for Nathan to realize the Rovers in pursuit were not his only problem. He still had to worry about fatigue. He was beginning to pant.

A third Rover showed up in front of him. It drove directly at him, as if its intention was to run him over. Somehow, he saw it too late. He couldn't stop his forward momentum. His only option was to keep moving towards it. If things went according to plan, he would step on it and try to lift himself over the machine. It was a good thing the Rovers weren't built high by design.
