*Marco De Luca POV*

"Sit down, make yourself comfortable" The psychologist, Dr Reuben says. I slowly sink into a chair and glare at him. "Now your fiancée called me, she is very concerned about you" He says.

Addison is in the waiting room outside with Fabian. She dragged me here and told me I needed to talk to someone. "Look, Reuben-" "Dr Reuben" He corrects me. "Dr Reuben, whatever. There's nothing wrong with me"

He hums to himself and writes something down on a notepad. "What are you writing?" I ask, curiously. "That doesn't concern you at this moment. Now let's talk about your fiancée"

"What about her?" I question. "What do you like about her? Does she have any particular traits you appreciate more than others?" He asks, looking at me over his glasses.

"I don't know, why are we even talking about this?" I shift in my seat uncomfortably. "Mr De Luca, in order to find out what is wrong with you, you have to cooperate" He says.

"There's nothing wrong with me!" I say exasperated. "I'll be the judge of that. Now, will you cooperate or not? The sooner you do, the sooner this will be over" He says.

"Fine! She's kind and forgiving. And loyal, so damn loyal" I mutter guilt seeping into me. "Is there something you'd like to share, Marco?" He asks, stopping scribbling in his pad.

"Is this all confidential?" I ask, just to clarify. "Yes, of course. My clients' experiences are personal and confidential. What is said in here, is not repeated outside"

"Okay, good. Does that mean you won't judge me? Or tell my fiancée?" I question, anxiously. "No, I won't say anything. It's up to you what information you share with other people"

"Okay, I've been cheating. Sleeping around behind Addison's back" I admit. He frowns and jots something down. "Do you often have unprotected sex with other women?" He asks.

"Well, just recently, but I don't remember if it was protected or not. I was way too drunk" I say. "So you drink excessively also?" "Yes, but I only started doing it just recently"

"Do you sometimes feel aggressive, Mr De Luca?" He asks. "I suppose. Does wanting to kill my fiancées only friend- who happens to be male- count?" I scowl, thinking of how Fabian admired Arden.

"Yes, what about other emotions? Anger, fear, loneliness?" He writes in his notebook. "Fear and anger mostly. I don't like the thought of being left alone" I admit.

He nods and hums. "Tell me about your son, is it Fabian?" He asks. "Yes, Fabian. He's great...I just haven't seen him much lately...I missed him speaking his first word"

"When you say missed?" He questions. "I was out drinking and cheating on my fiancée when she was home looking after my child" I stare at the ground, ashamed.

I can't believe I've been so selfish. "I love her, I do. But, I'm not a good guy. I treat her like dirt" He stares at me. "Why do you think so low of your self?" He asks.

"Because I'm nothing, just a 24 year old man who can't get his shit together" I play with my hands and he just stares. "Well that's all we have time for today. But I think you should come back next week"

"Okay, I'll see you then. Thank you" I shake his hand and give him a tight smile. "Good luck. And when you feel brave enough, tell her. She needs to know"

I nod and leave the room, knowing that he is right. Addison stands as I exit and silently follows me to the car, Fabian on her hip. Why do I treat such a beautiful girl like crap? She deserves better.

"Marco? What's wrong? You haven't spoken a word since we got back" Addison says, concerned. She was sitting on the floor with Fabian, playing some sort of puzzle game.

I glanced at her and frowned. "I had a really bad day at work" I answered, putting my jacket on the hook near the door. She smiled at me, "Come here then"

She patted the spot next to her on the floor. I sat down next to her and watched Fabian. He was standing, holding onto the couch while sucking on a puzzle piece.

He was growing up so fast.

Addison's hands were massaging my shoulders and I tensed. "Addison, what are you doing?" I asked. "Trying to make you feel better" She replied. I pushed her away with my shoulders and stood up.

"I'm sorry. I'm just preoccupied right now" She had fallen backwards on her butt and was now frowning at me. She had a hurt expression on her face. "I was just-"

I cut her off. "Don't" She sat back up and looked down. "I'm going to bed. I'm not hungry" I walked upstairs and slammed the door shut. My head was all over the place. I needed to sort myself out.

Forget about everything that happened in the past, and move on. I need to focus on my family now. Addison and Fabian. nothing us else matters but them. I needed to restart, starting tomorrow.
