Millie sat in Bobby's living room, sipping a beer as Dean and Bobby discussed the problem at hand, more and more seals being broken. Dean was shrugging down whiskey while holding a pack of ice to his left eye. Just a few days ago, Sam and Dean had fought, ending in Sam leaving his family for the demon, Ruby.

Millie felt her phone buzzing in her pocket, fishing it out, Carson's name flashes on the screen.

"Heya, Carson, any news?" Dean and Bobby look at Millie. Both skeptical to the friendship she and Carson shares, especially after Sam leaving. Dean hates to admit it, but he is afraid his sister will leave him as well.

"Sorry, sunshine. The demons don't trust me much these days. No idea why" the sarcasm was clear in his voice. His friendship with Millie was the talk of Hell lately, because Carson had always been loyal to the throne and one of Hell's greatest torturer for decades now, his reputation was changing, and being friends with the Winchester was as bad as it could get.

"Just wanted to check in and see how you're all doing, I heard rumors about Ruby corrupting your brother" Carson was never the one to sugarcoat anything, and it was one of the many reasons Millie found comfort in him downstairs.

"Yeah... we're shooting blanks right now, but we'll figure something out".

"Good, good. Cuz you know what's coming, and it ain't pretty, shushine. Just be careful" and with that, Millie hung up the phone.

"How you holding up?"

"Don't start, Millie. Sam made his choice. Now we got to stop this thing ourselves" Dean shrugged and downed the last of his whiskey. "Only, I have no idea how", and like he was listening in, Castiel appeared in the room, ready to help the hunters.

"I've located Sam".

The two siblings looked at each other and then at Castiel, soon they made a plan to catch Sam, trying one last time to knock some sense into their youngest brother.

For once in their life, their plan had worked in their favor. Sam had been captured and brought back and placed in Bobby's panic-room in his basement. They were trying to detox him, but it was painful for them to watch. Sam had abstinences like crazy and he felt like he was dying slowly and painfully. Millie, Dean and Bobby all wanted to let him out, to hug him and make everything right, and the first to break was Bobby. Without anyone else's knowledge, Bobby let Sam out, hoping he would fight at their side in the upcoming battle. However, he couldn't be more wrong.

Sam had gotten a call from Ruby, she had located Lilith, and Sam had left his family once again in favor for the demon. Castiel came to Bobby's house, bearing news. He could take Dean to Zacharaiah, one of Castiel's superiors. Zacharaiah could help them save their brother, at least that what he had told Castiel.

Dean left with Castiel, and Millie was left with Bobby, waiting in anticipation for the outcome. Millie hated waiting, especially when her brother's life's were on the line. She hated the feeling for being useless. Bobby tried his best to keep the oldest Winchester occupied with books and possible solutions to their problem, but in great vain. "You know Dean will do anything in this power to make this right, right?" Bobby spoke, bringing Millie back from her mindless staring.

"Yes, I know, I'm just worried, and well, I'm not used to being this worried anymore. I've only had myself to think about for ten years, and now I'm supposed to just sit here and wait while my brothers risk their lives. It's a new feeling for me".

"Yeah, well, you're not alone anymore and being in family with those two knuckleheads you call brothers never leaves you out of worry, so you better get used to it" Bobby spoke as he took a sip of his drink, earning a chuckle from Millie. Bobby understood how she felt. He had been worried for the two Winchester boys ever since Millie died. When he knew they had Millie, he knew they would be safe and protected. However, when Millie died, John became a shell of himself and Bobby lost contact with the boys, leaving him with even more worry. Millie had been the glue keeping the boys with a father, and if the boys knew the struggle Millie went thought with keeping them together, they would understand their childhood even better. Bobby knew the struggles Millie had been through after Mary had died, not just grieving their mother, but also keeping her father alive alongside getting the responsibility for two young boys.

The wait was long, but now, it was finally over. There was a knock on the door, and there stood Sam and Dean. Dean with a rather expressionless look on his face and Sam looked rather broken. Millie threw herself in the arms of her brothers, so happy to see they were both alive. For Millie, that was all that mattered right now.

The four of them sat in silence. Dean had explained everything that had happened since he left with Castiel earlier, and it was not a story with a good ending. Dean looked pissed as he talked and trying to not give Sam the angry eyes more than necessary. Bobby sat sipping his drink and nodding along, while Millie sat beside Sam, comforting him the best he could. Sam looked completely lost and hadn't said a word since they had arrived.

"Sam, look at me" Millie spoke softly to his brother. After hearing the betrayal Sam had gone through with Ruby, her heart broke for her little brother. Sam looked up at his sister, "I'm so sorry" his words were barely a whisper. Sam hated being a disappointment, especially to Millie. Millie was perfect in Sam's eyes, and when he looked at her, he didn't see disappointment or resent in her eyes, like he did with his brother. Millie looked at Sam with nothing but sympathy. "We'll get through this, Sam. We're family and we will get through this, together. We're the Winchester's, angels and demons fear us, and they will not stop us. You did a mistake because you believed it was the right thing to do, and as your family, it's our responsibility to learn with you and forgive you".
