"Here, Ebony, have a seat." Carter smiled sweetly as I walked into the dining room where everyone was sitting around a beautiful wooden table.

I glared at him as he pulled out my chair. "Ouch," I whispered as I sat in the chair and rubbed my very sore butt.

Carter quietly laughed to himself  as he sat down next to me.

"It's not funny." I snapped, shooting him a stare.

"Then you should have been a good girl." He kissed my cheek gently and rubbed my leg under the table. I felt his fingers touch the bite mark he had given me on my upper thigh, and I jumped slightly. I had forgotten that he had bitten me, and then I blushed as I remembered the pure pleasure I had felt from it. It was actually euphoric.

"You okay, Eb? You look like you're about to faint or pass out?" Jake said as he slowly raised his eyebrow at me from across the table.

"I'm fine." I smiled at him, but he just kept looking at me. "I'm fine, Jake, I promise."

Jake just shook his head and cleared his throat. "Right now that everyone is finally here." His blue eyes landed on me. "Can we please discuss what the actual fuck is going on and how we intend to deal with it?"

"Good question," Callan said, sipping on his glass of blood. "Where are we exactly?" He asked Leon.

Leon sighed. "We are in a parallel world between the human and vampire world. I created it many years ago as I planned to create an army here and then unleash it upon the world. Thankfully it never came to pass, and I ended up using it for my own selfish gain with Ebony here. I do again apologize for everything I did."

"Thank you," I said, reaching for his hand on the table. "I know it wasn't you, Leon."

"I was still involved, and for that, I truly am sorry." He patted my hand. "And to you, dear brother, I know we have a lot to talk about."

"We have a lot to discuss, Leon, yes, but you owe me nothing. I had a lot of time to think while I was stuck in hell, and although it was the darkness that put me there, I probably deserved it. I have done so many terrible, unspeakable things in my past, and I have no one to blame but myself. I should have been there for your little brother, and for that, I owe you an apology."

"I don't deserve it, but I will accept your apology." Leon smiled.

"From this moment, we fight together, not against each other. If the darkness is truly out there and in search of my son, then I'm going to need all the help I can get." Carter said, looking over at Callan. "I can promise you that I will not let it get you even if that means I spend my eternity in hell again. You will be safe, my son."

"I know," Callan said, looking down at his hands on the table. "I know that."

"We will fight this time and win," Leon said to Callan. "The Morgan blood curse ends now."

"How do we stop it?" I said quietly.

"Well, first of all, we need to..." Carter stopped talking and suddenly groaned loudly in pain as he covered his ears. "What is this....?" He yelled loudly as he struggled to speak.

"Carter, what is happening?" I cried out, watching him yell loudly in the most painful way. He was holding his head and screaming for something to stop.

"Carter," I yelled, touching his chest. "What is going on?" I looked back at Leon.

"Oh, no," Leon said as his eyes widened. "It can't be?"

"What?" I gasped.

"I think something may have hitched a ride out of hell with him. It's not uncommon for this to happen. Why didn't I think to check it before? Damn it!"

"Leon, what is happening.?" I yelled.

"I would say a demon of some sort has hitched itself to Carter and is now trying to take over his body. Unfortunately for Carter, this process can be excruciating and permanent." Leon stood up and grabbed Carter's head as he thrashed in the chair like he was possessed. "Carter, hold on, brother," Leon yelled as opened Carter's eyes. "Shit! Ok, new plan.."

"What do we do?" Jake stood up and pulled me away.

"Callan get the spellbook quickly, boy. We have to get it out of him before it takes over." Leon yelled as he grabbed Carter by the arms and pushed him to the ground as Carter began to speak in a language I've never heard before and struggled to break free from Leon's grip. "Jacob, draw the symbols around him as you did outside. We can trap the creature in the circle."

"Yes, sir," Jake yelled as he ran to get the paint.

"Ebony, stand back. You are the weakest creature here, and it will attack you first." Leon yelled as Carter thrashed on the floor, still trying to break free from Leon's hold on him.

"Will he be okay?" I cried as I hid behind the table.

"I hope so," Leon said with doubt in his voice. "Not today, you filthy demon. Not while I'm here." Leon held Carter down by his throat.

"I have the spell," Callan said, returning with the old spellbook.

"Symbols are nearly done," Jake said, finishing the circle around Carter on the floor.

"Good boys. Good. Can you get that chair and some rope. Let's get this bastard out of here and back to hell."

"Yeah, sure." Jake pulled a chair inside the circle as Callan got the rope. "Sorry, boss, man." Jake said as he punched Carter right in the jaw to stop him from biting everyone. "Shit, he's going to be so mad at me." Jake hit him again. "Again, sorry. Ouch, stop biting, though. Bad boss, man."

It took all three of them to pick Carter off the floor and keep him in the chair as they struggled to tie him down.

"Nearly got it. Nearly...Shit!" Callan was becoming frustrated.

"Shit! He bit me again." Jake yelled as Carter took a chunk out of his arm. "Motherfucker!"

"You got it, Callan?" Leon yelled, holding down Carter's arms to the chair.

"Yeah, just...Stop kicking seriously." Callan yelled as the rope came undone again.

I knew I had to do something. I had to help.

"Who are you?" I called as walked towards them. "Who are you, and why are you doing this to him?"

Carter's body stopped moving, and his eyes slowly made their way to me.

"What do you want?" I stuttered.

"Ebony, no offense, but you need to fuck off right now," Jake called as he held Carter tightly by the throat and put his knee into his stomach.

"No, it's working," Leon called. "Ebony, keep its attention on you."

"Who...are you?" I stuttered again.

"Mmmmm. I love the smell of human flesh." It smirked at me as it licked its lips and smelt the air like a wolf. "Mmmm. Intoxicating." His eyes opened and it stared at me. "Such a pretty little human. Shame, you will die like the rest of them." It threw his head back and laughed. "You can watch too, vampire,  as I rip off her skin...piece by piece." It licked his lips again. "Delicious."

"You are disgusting." I looked away from it.

"You're vampire is weak and can't fight me." It laughed.

"You're probably right," I said, turning to look at him. "Carter has been through a lot and probably not as strong as he once was." I smiled at the demon. "But there is one thing you are forgetting."

"What?" It hissed at me.

"Callan, now!" Leon yelled, almost out of breath.

Callan started to chant in ancient Latin loudly as the demon hissed and yelled loudly.

"You forgot about Carter's other strength. His family." I smiled as the demon screamed out in pain at Callan's words.

"Who are you?" Leon yelled as the demon bellowed out in pain and clenched his fists. "Who are you?" Leon repeatedly even louder.

The room fell silent as the demon went still in the chair, his head hanging to his chest, and his eyes closed tightly. He looked dead, sitting in the chair.

"WHO ARE YOU?" Leon bellowed.

Carter's head sprung up, and he opened his now blood-red eyes. "Leon, my Leon. You've grown so much. I can't believe it's you. When I last saw you, you were just a young man. It was so long ago now." The voice said calmly through Carter as it stared at Leon standing in front of him. "My goodness, you look just like your mother. I'm sorry if I scared you before. I had another demon inside here with me. Disgusting fellow too...."

"Don't play games with me. Who are you?" Leon bellowed as Callan kept chanting from the spellbook.

"Why Leon, my dear boy, it's me. It's your father." The voice said, smiling straight at Leon.

"My father? Why would my father possess Carter?" Leon said, confused.

"Where do you think I've been all these years, my son? Heaven?" The voice scoffed. "I was sent straight to hell to pay for my sins and the sins of my children. It was my price to pay for what I did to my boys."

"What did you do?" Leon growled.

The voice sighed and looked away. "I gave into the darkness and let it take over Carter when he was born. I was too weak to fight it, and I cursed my son. I let it consume him, and I didn't do anything because I was too afraid of it. I was afraid it would return to me, and I couldn't go through that again." His father looked down.

"Then why did you give it to me?" Leon clenched his fists. "Why curse me as well?"

"I thought you were dying, Leon. You were so sick and weak, and on the brink of death, I thought if I put it in you, then it would die with you, and we could finally be done with it. I didn't want to hurt you, son. I swear to you."

Leon went silent as he stared into the eyes of his father.

Callan stepped forward next to Leon. "Why are you here?" He said, loading the book.

The eyes of their father were now on Callan, and a slight smile came across Carters' face. "You must be my grandson? You look so much like my boys." His voice was softer as he looked at Callan. "You truly are a Morgan. What is your name, my grandson?"

"Callan." He replied, showing no emotion on his face. "Why are you here?"

"Just like your father." He laughed. "Always straight to the point. I'm here to give you a warning and hopefully point you all in the right direction."

"What warning?" Leon said sternly.

"I have heard things in hell about the darkness. Demons are talking about its growing power, and then I heard that Carter was being held in hell by the devil himself, and I knew that something wasn't right. I spent years looking for him, and I finally found him locked away behind the devils thrown like a trophy. I tried everything I could to get to him, but I failed every time. That's when I heard from a demon that you had offered the devil a deal in exchange for your brother. I knew the darkness was winning, so I tried to make contact with you in your world..."

"You were the voice in my head?" Leon said, taking a step backward. "It was you who was controlling the weather?"

"Yes. I couldn't gain enough power to actually talk to you, so I used an old spell to reach you in your dreams. That is where I meet the angel...."

"Ariel?" I said, standing up. "Where is he?"

The voice looked over at me. "You must be the girl my son is in love with?"

"Ebony," I stuttered.

He nodded. "He loves you very much. I can feel him screaming at me right now as I look at you. Thank you for everything you have done for my family. I am eternally grateful to you."

"They are my family as well, and I would do anything for them. Anything." I took a deep breath, trying to calm my beating heart.

"You are family, and you did something, even their mother and I could not do."

"What is that?"

"You gave the common ground, a reason to talk again. You gave them meaning, and you made them a family again. Thank you, Ebony."

I felt a tear run down my cheek.

"Your angel friend is recovering from the rescue. He has been trying to find you for a very long time. He is the one who requested my help to free Carter."

"So, Ariel is okay?"

"As far as I know, yes."

"Is Carter okay?" I felt a lump in my throat as I asked that question.

The voice sighed. "Only time will tell on that one I'm afraid. Hell can affect in different ways. I can tell you that he will not be the same vampire he once was, but how far that damage has run into him..." he shrugged. "Just be prepared for what may come, young human."

I swallowed the lump in my throat. "How can you help us?" I walked over to Jake and took his hand in mine to stop myself from crying.

"The darkness is more powerful now then it has ever been. It can survive outside of our blood, which it has never done before, but it will eventually start looking for its home again." He looked at Callan. "It will seek our blood once more, and when it does..."

"We will stop it," Leon said.

"I know you will, my son, and I can help you with that. You need to find the witch that cursed my grandfather. You need to find her coven."

"How do we find it?" Callan said.

"You find your grandmother, my son, and she will help guide you on the right path, but I give you a warning, This coven is like no other. It preaches dark magic, voodoo, and they say the devil himself. They are feared by every creature and will be almost impossible to find. You will need an army to defeat them, and the battle will not be easy. Some would say it's even impossible, but I say nothing is impossible. It's just a pain in the ass." He smiled.

"We will do everything we can to protect my nephew. Even kill a coven of voodoo preaching devil bitches. As you say, father, nothing is impossible in our family." Leon gave his father a smile.

"You make me proud, my son, you all do. I wish you the best of luck and take care of each other. Tell your mother I miss her, and even an eternity in hell can not stop my love for her. Tell her...." Carter's head collapsed onto his chest, and the room went silent.

"Father?" Leon called.

"What just happened?" Callan said, looking around the room.

"I don't know." Leon took a step towards Carter. "Carter? Brother, are you awake?"

Carter's body started to shake violently in the chair in front of us.

"Carter?" Leon called.

Carter's eyes shot open once again; only this time, they were bright yellow.

"Who are you?" Leon took a step back as the yellow eyes looked around the room at every one of us.

The room was suddenly filled with the sound of wicked laughter that sent a chill through my spine. "Hello there, everyone. I feel like I'm meeting celebrities. I've heard so much about you all." The voice said as the yellow eyes twinkled at us. "I feel like I know you already. Oh, hello there, pretty lady! I take it you are THE Ebony Summers that I have heard so much about. I must say the stories do not do you justice. You are spectacular. I can see why the old boy here is hard for you." The room filled with his evil laugher again.

"Who the fuck are you?" Jake yelled, pulling me behind him.

"You must be Jacob, yes? The pretty blonde dumb dickhead." He laughed again. "You know she will never sleep with you, right? Not while this old bag of bones is still kicking? I can help you with that." He winked and laughed again.

Jake's body tensed. "Come out of there, and we will see who is still standing asshole."

"Oh, Jacob, our time will come, my boy don't worry. I have a very special place for a creature like you, but right now, I have bigger fish to fry than you."

"Who are you then?" Leon yelled impatiently.

The yellow eyes slowly turned to Leon. "I'm offended you don't recognize me, Leon." The voice laughed. "I thought we were friends?"

"I'm running out of patience with this. Who are you?" Leon yelled.

"Well, I go by many different names, but to you, my old friend, you can just call me good old Lucifer."

"Holy shit." Jake stuttered.

"What do you want?" Leon said, suddenly looking rather pale.

"Well, I would like to say that I just came to hang out, but I'm rather pressed for time, you see. I need your help with something." Lucifer said as calm as a cucumber.

"What?" Callan said, holding the spellbook up to his chest.

"I need your help to capture the darkness for me friends, and I need it now." he smiled looking very pleased with himself.

"This is not happening." I sighed softly and shook my head.

"Seriously, now would great. Chop chop." Lucifer said looking around the room. "Hello? Anybody there? I can see why this idiot is leader of the pack."

"You want our help?" Leon said raising an eyebrow at him.

"Yes. See, I'm asking nicely. Now go." Lucifer looked towards the door. "Let's get that darkness Scooby doo style and then all fuck a human to celebrate. Yeah!" Lucifer cheered.

"I'm in." Jake said smiling and winking at Lucifer.
