I can't believe him. I can't believe Cameron confronted Mia. Is he stupid?

Demetrio told me about everything yesterday night. He told me to be careful and make sure Cameron never says a word. I know he won't because I threatened him the last time. Like really threatened him.

I am just glad that he didn't say anything about me even though a part inside me wanted him to.

A part inside me wants this game to end. I can't see to avoid her. Every time I try to avoid her, I walk right back to her, willingly.

She's like a magnet that's pulling me towards her every time I try to stay away.

And I hate it.

I hate that I am not able to control myself even though I have to. Trust me, I am not going to make any more towards her or anything. I will leave her alone and let her be, those are the rules.

I know Demetrio has no problem with me being her boyfriend or anything, he's just scared.

Not only that, Demetrio is one of those who follow rules and deals. Once we made that deal, it's over.

I mean...okay he's scared right now that she would hate him or something, but eventually, she is going to find out, whether he likes it or not.

I look at her sleeping face and admire her. As much as I wanted her to go sleep in David's tent, so that I give her a sign that I don't care about her, I couldn't. I know I made up a lie about Camilla and all, but who cares, she believed it.

I just couldn't let her sleep with him even though I know David likes Camilla and I trust him. I just wanted her beside me. Just tonight.

I stroked her cheeks slowly making sure not to wake her up. She has an angelic face. A pure, innocent face.

When she asked me about Lara, I couldn't hide my smirk. I knew she's overthinking about it, especially when she saw me shirtless the other night.

But it's for the best, right?

-

The next morning, we got ready for our road trip. We were going to pass through couple of towns bear Galena, and maybe eat something at a restaurant.

"Hey, I have to talk to you." Cameron suddenly whispered.

We walked a little away so that we could talk freely.

"Yes?"

"Look, the other night when you told me that Mia might know more about gangs and stuff, I couldn't take it out of my mind, so I asked her." He said in one breath.

I narrowed my eyes at him, trying to scare him even though I know that he did that.

"Look, I swear I didn't say anything about you." He quickly added.

"I know." I rolled my eyes.

"You know? How?" He asked, bewildered.

"Mia's father, you'll know later—but you cannot tell Mia anything. You cannot tell her that I talk to her father or anything." I warned.

"Why?"

"You'll know later since you will be joining the mafia."

"I am?" He asked, shocked.

"You don't think that we are going to give you another chance do you?" I smirked.

"Wait, what does Mia's...you know what has to do with your gang?" He asked confusedly.

"As I said, you'll know later, but no word to her, at all."

"Fine." He nodded and left.

We went back and joined the rest. Mia was looking at us and narrowing her eyes as if trying to figure out what we were talking about.

Getting into the van, we drove off.

This time, I sat at the back, beside Mia. I just had this feeling that I should sit beside her.

She was on her phone and trued her best not to acknowledge me, so I did what she did at the camp, stare at her until she catches me.

Fee minutes had passed when she turned to me and whisper-yelled, "what?"

"What?" I replied innocently.

"Why are you staring?" She asked.

"Just liking the view." I tilted my face and put my famous smirk on.

She rolled her eyes and turned back to her phone as if I didn't just flirt.

Is she crazy?

Since nothing had worked, I decided to tease her. I don't know why I am doing this since Demetrio specifically told me to stay away from his daughter, but I can't help but stay around her.

I sneaked my left arm around her waist and she immediately jumped. I tightened my hold and moved her closer to me.

"What are you doing?" She whispered.

"Nothing." I replied and started drawing circles.

"Stop this, what are you doing?" She trued to push me away, but failed miserably, my hold is so tight that she cannot get away, but not hurt her of course.

I don't know where this playful River suddenly appeared, but sometimes I feel like a baby around her.

I took my phone out and snapped a selfie of me and her.

She....looked...ridiculous!

I laughed loudly making everyone turn to us, even David looked through the front mirror.

I just ignored them and continued laughing. Mia managed to get away before anyone sees that she was close to me.

I glanced at Mia and she mouthed, "fuck you."

So I mouthed back, "I'd love to."

-

We arrived at a small restaurant in one of the towns near Galena. This restaurant was a Chinese one and I LOVE Chinese food, who doesn't?

After giving in our orders to the waitress who couldn't keep her eyes away from me; not bragging, we started talking.

"I really enjoyed in this trip that I don't want to go back." Camilla smiled shyly.

"Of course you enjoyed." I smirked and looked at David, who sent me a glare.

"Yeah, it's really nice, we should do it more often." David said.

"So, River, did you decide which college you're going to?" Camilla suddenly asked.

Well, shit. What should I tell her? I am not going to college?

My sister and I inherited a lot from our grandma that we don't really need to work. Not only that, I have my gang and business, as well as, Demetrio by my side as my ally.

"Uhh, I am not sure yet." I nodded.

"Grades like yours could get you anywhere, lucky you." She smiled.

"What about you?" I asked.

I know...I even surprised myself that I am making a conversation. I never did, but maybe because I wanted to...I don't know impress Mia? Maybe.

"I applied to University of Wisconsin, still waiting." She said proudly.

"That's good Camille!" David praised.

"What about you Mia?" Asked David.

"I am not thinking about college, right now." She replied looking at Cameron who seemed to understand what she means. In fact, he surely does.

The waitress came back with out food and left, but not before saying, "call me anytime handsome," and throwing a paper at me.

Everyone laughed except Mia, who had a murderous look on her face. A look that means, "I am going to kill that bitch," and I cannot wait to see that happen.

I smirked.
