Chapter 57: Breakaway/Hope your ok

*This chapter isn't going to be a bit long so I tried to put it all together in this chapter as fast as I can*

*Also there are some sad parts in the chapter so I'm sorry for this and the next chapter is going to be a happy one*

Present

The following day

It's nothing like living a normal life

In causally it's like standing behind those walls so that you can't be in defeat

Trying to get away from all those troubles

The only person who stands there who had brighter courage inside of them suddenly fades away

Nothing doesn't make any difference but it could only be taken further upon someone to take a leap of a faith

Nothing's impossible

Living like there's no tomorrow

The girl thought her nightmare has ended but it hasn't

Out of the darkness and into the sun

This journey isn't over

The girl having the deepest feeling inside of you suddenly turns into more than just an outsider a wiser

Anyone can have that kind of feeling inside of you before it sinks right into the bottom of the ocean.

It feels empty

The girl doesn't notice the feeling until she tries to run away again but it was too risky for her to live again.

She wants to feel the warm breeze sleep under the palm tree and feels the rush of the ocean

The girl knows how proud she is that she gets to achieve one of the biggest moments in her life and always has her best friends who stay right by her side.

Address those letters until the girl suddenly forgets about those letters

Nothing's forever

She and her best friends felt the touch until they fell out of touch

Even though they haven't talked much, the five girls are still together

They missed each other so much

They hoped that nothing gets in the way between them again

The girl hoped that she was okay

The girl hoped that her best friends are okay

They couldn't be any happier than this

They wanted so much more than this and hoped that all of those phases fades away forever.

Present

The following day

The sunlight suddenly shines through the window Soyeon let out a groan as she turns off the alarm. Soyeon wakes up with a huge headache as she gets out of bed. Although she looked a bit more tired because she couldn't get enough sleep from last night.

Instead, Soyeon still receives more nightmares as she tries to pretend that she doesn't have that kind of feeling when someone keeps lurking around just to scare her.

It didn't work for her.

None of those things doesn't work for Soyeon

It's because she deals with things differently than anyone else who ever experienced the kind of feeling inside of her when she had nothing to hold on to except for the people she loves the most.

As Soyeon just got out of bed, she noticed that there is a letter on the floor so she picks it up and she reads the label onto the envelope before she could get a chance to open the letter that was inside. It belongs to someone who she isn't even interested in or she doesn't want to reconnect with someone who she knows from her past so she rolled her eyes as she just throws it into the trash can.

Before she is getting herself ready, she spotted another letter but this time it was from her sister so she keeps it for now as she just went to the bathroom.

Meanwhile, Yuqi came to her room and realized that Soyeon isn't in her room so she thought that Soyeon had left before she could tell her that Miyeon had cooked breakfast.

Then Minnie and Shuhua also came into the room to check up on Yuqi.

Yuqi: Seriously you guys love to follow me around all the time??

Yuqi asked them annoyed.

Minnie: Geez well sorry

Minnie: Me and Shuhua just wanting to tell you that Soyeon needs to come down for breakfast

Shuhua: Also it's ready anyways

Yuqi glares at them.

Yuqi: Well thanks for the notice

Yuqi: I was about to tell her until Soyeon just left out of her room maybe she needs to do a quick errand

Minnie and Shuhua looked at each other.

Shuhua: Anyways has Soyeon got any better?? *asks her*

Yuqi sighed.

Yuqi: I don't know... I thought that she was getting better but that's not what she told me

After about 2 weeks of Soyeon was captured and tortured by A as she got rescued by Itzy and she was sent to the hospital, Soyeon isn't liked herself for these past couple of days and it made Yuqi even more worried about her because Yuqi could tell it but Soyeon doesn't want her to worry.

Soyeon pretends she is okay

But deep down inside of her......

She wasn't okay

Yuqi tried to help her but Soyeon declines it every time she yelled at her one time because Yuqi kept bothering her and it pisses her off.

Yuqi wasn't even bothering her

She was just worried about her girlfriend and she loves her so much.

Yuqi told Minnie and Shuhua about it and that is what brought them to their concern for Soyeon.

For about a couple of days, the five girls haven't received any texts from A and A hasn't stalked them at night either.

This doesn't mean that A is gone or that the police have caught the person who continued to stalk them or sent them texts yet.

The girls still don't know who A is

Miyeon only knows because Soojin told her but she promised her that she wouldn't tell her best friends yet because she doesn't want them to be ended up in danger.

Soyeon ditches the plans to spend time with her girlfriend and her best friends because she has been busy lately but Yuqi says otherwise.

She gets it that Soyeon has gotten under a lot of pressure and she had gotten hurt a bunch of times but this isn't like her.

Minnie and Shuhua understand what Yuqi just discussed with them about everything that has been happening to them.

Then Minnie and Shuhua hugged Yuqi.

The three girls talked for a while as they went to the kitchen to eat breakfast since Miyeon had cooked them breakfast.

About a few minutes later after Soyeon is done getting ready for the day, she overheard Yuqi and her best friends having a conservation she tries so hard not to cry then she wiped a tear off her face.

Soyeon takes a look at the envelope again that was from her sister and inside of it is the letter that she receives then she throws the envelope into the trash can. She also picked up Soojin's old diary she opens it and begins to go through the pages and starts to read one of those pages.

Once she is done reading through the pages, it almost made her cry and at first, she pretends that she doesn't care because she still hates Soojin.

At the same time, Soyeon misses Soojin so much and she wishes that Soojin isn't the one who is after them for her revenge and that she is A because now A started to torture her a bunch of times.

A attacked her and her best friends

Even her girlfriend Yuqi

Soyeon wanted A gone

She wanted A to pay for what A has done to her and her best friends including her girlfriend Yuqi.

Soyeon hates anyone who does her wrong and she is going to make them pay for every dares to mess with her.

If only she could figure out who A is

Soojin already knows the answer.

Soyeon's mind: If only I could break in the barrier instead of living with so much pain and suffering

Soyeon's mind: We don't deserve any of this

Soyeon's mind: None of us do

Soyeon's mind: I still believe that Soojin is A but after reading through those pages from her old diary it isn't her

Soyeon's mind: It's all my fault for all of this happened

Soyeon's mind: I'm done

Soyeon's mind: They don't need me anymore as long as I am moving far away

Soyeon's mind: Yuqi is right

Soyeon's mind: Why do I feel betrayed over and over again??

Soyeon's mind: This is all too much for me to handle and I just wish that Yuqi will understand me

Soyeon's mind: Hopefully this nightmare ends so I can finally break away from all of those worries and troubles

Miyeon came into her room.

Miyeon: Soyeon *she called her by her name*

Miyeon: Soyeon

Soyeon glanced at her.

Soyeon quickly puts the diary and some of the stuff away to hide it from her best friend Miyeon because she doesn't want her to worry about her to see what she has been up to for an hour. Miyeon came towards her and hugged her tightly then she wraps the blanket around her as she gives her a tissue in case Soyeon started to burst into tears.

Miyeon: What's wrong Soyeon?? *she asked her*

Soyeon looked directly at her as she didn't say a word then she lay her head onto Miyeon's arm.

Soyeon: I don't know Miyeon

Soyeon sighs.

Soyeon: I'm just tired of us being brought back into the cage like it's nothing just for us to sit and wait around for this nightmare to end.

Soyeon looked like she was almost about to cry.

Soyeon: You just don't get it Miyeon

Soyeon: Yuqi is always concerned about me and I get that

Soyeon: But can't she at least stop provoking it for me to be swept up under the rug??

Soyeon rolls up her sleeves for Miyeon to look at the scars that she receives because she was being tortured.

Miyeon couldn't believe it.

Miyeon: Omg... Soyeon

At that moment, Soyeon told her everything and she started to cry.

Miyeon hugged her tightly.

Miyeon: Soyeon... you can't just breakaway just because you feel like it

Soyeon just glared at her.

Soyeon: What do you know so much about you trying to break away from something that you couldn't have a feeling inside of you anymore??

Miyeon didn't say a word.

Soyeon scoffed.

Soyeon: You think everything works for you just because you left your best friends behind?? *said it in an angry tone*

Miyeon's mind: Soyeon's right

Miyeon's mind: What do I know about trying to take away those strings??

Miyeon's mind: She hasn't even given me the chance that I deserved because of my mistake

Miyeon's mind: I hate seeing Soyeon like this

Miyeon's mind: Especially that A is still after us

Miyeon's mind: We weren't meant to be at all it's like we don't exist

Miyeon's mind: Is this means that we don't know each other??

Miyeon: Soyeon nothing hasn't been easy for me since I left

Soyeon: Yeah sure it hasn't because you don't care and you love seeing me and Minnie in danger and suffer

Miyeon is starting to get mad at her.

Miyeon: You don't get to take things out on me all the time and expected me to take it because you are the only one who feels that way and not me.

Soyeon came towards her as she grabs her by the collar of her shirt.

Soyeon: Don't you ever dare try to mess with me Miyeon

Soyeon: You did this on your own and suddenly I'm supposed to let it go??

Soyeon shout at her.

Miyeon: Soyeon, please... it's nothing like that

Miyeon: YOU DIDN'T EVEN GIVE ME A CHANCE

Miyeon shouted at her.

Soyeon: I ALREADY GIVE YOU CHANCE AFTER CHANCE AND YOU BLEW IT SO SCREW YOU MIYEON

Soyeon: SCREW YOU FOR NOT HAVING ME AROUND

Soyeon: I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU

Suddenly, Soyeon started to have a meltdown and it only takes for Miyeon to calm her down minutes after as she is hugging Soyeon tightly and let her cry into her shirt.

Soyeon cried and cried.

Miyeon: I'm so sorry Soyeon

Miyeon: I'm so sorry *still hugging her*

That's when Minnie, Yuqi, and Shuhua are standing at the door overhearing everything as the three of them heard Soyeon crying and they heard her having a meltdown as well.

Yuqi takes a step back as she runs away so Shuhua went after her.

Then Minnie appeared as she had a little talk with Miyeon.

Minnie comforted Soyeon for like a couple of seconds and it calmed her down then she also told Soyeon to pack her things and just go downstairs to get something to eat.

Soyeon nodded in agreement as she just did what Minnie told her as she wiped her tears and stormed out before Miyeon gets to say one more word to her before she left.

Miyeon looked directly at Minnie.

She isn't surprised when Minnie hasn't shown much growth towards her and admits some of her mistakes.

Minnie wants what was best for her and that is for Miyeon to move on and for her to be happy.

But Miyeon couldn't ever be happy

None of the girls couldn't ever be happy

It's like they were back in the dark again instead of coming out of the dark.

Minnie: Miyeon I know you more than I do and it's not easy for us to move forward because of your mistake.

Miyeon: So what do you want me to say??

Miyeon: What else I can do Minnie for me to take me back in time??

Minnie sits right beside her as she hugs her and kisses her on the cheek.

Minnie: You can't go back because it's already happened

Miyeon scoffs.

Miyeon: God Minnie you are just as dumb and predictable as Soyeon is

Miyeon: Why can't I have faith in myself for me to move on so I can be happy??

Miyeon: Why can't I move on from my mistake??

Minnie didn't say a word.

Miyeon: Oh I see you only doing this for yourself

Minnie: What are you even talking about Miyeon??

Miyeon started to get pissed at her.

Miyeon: YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING FOR ALL I HAVE DONE FOR YOU MINNIE

Miyeon: THANK GOD I LEFT FROM THIS STUPID TOXIC FRIENDSHIP

Minnie came towards her then she slapped her across her face.

Minnie: YOU HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING FOR ME

Minnie: YOU ARE ALWAYS THE PROBLEM MIYEON AND IT'S ALL OF YOUR FUCKING FAULT

Miyeon quickly dashes off with tears in her eyes as Minnie went after her then she saw her trying to leave.

Before Miyeon decided to jump out of the window, Minnie grabs her as the two girls started to scream Miyeon shouted at her then she quickly ran and ran as fast as she can. Minnie has looked everywhere for Miyeon but there is no sign of her. That is until she saw Miyeon about to run when she saw a car heading in her direction so Minnie pushes her out of the way as the car continued to drive off onto the street.

Minnie helped her out then she shout at Miyeon and told her that she could have gotten hurt for being in the street.

Miyeon started to cry.

Miyeon: I'm... sorry... Minnie

Miyeon: I'm so scared *she cried and cried*

Minnie hugged her so tightly as she let her cry onto her shirt.

Minnie: I'm sorry that I shouted at you Miyeon

Minnie: If you wouldn't have tried to let me go then I wouldn't have done the same for you for me to risk it all.

Minnie: I love you so much Miyeon and you are my best friend

Minnie: I always protected you and I still do

Minnie: You deserve all of the happiness in the world

Miyeon cried and cried.

Miyeon looked at her as she wiped some tears.

Miyeon: Minnie

Minnie: Yeah??

Miyeon: I'm sorry that I couldn't go back in time to not make a mistake but I think it's time for me to move on

Minnie looks at her confused.

Minnie: Miyeon what do you mean by that??

Miyeon's mind: If only Minnie knows one of my half-truths

Miyeon's mind: If I can't move on, then maybe I should do this on my own

Minnie's mind: I hate seeing her like this

Minnie's mind: Miyeon knows that she will do anything to protect me and I still kept blaming her for her mistake

Minnie's mind: Miyeon, I don't want you to get hurt

Minnie's mind: Why is it something more than our friendship??

Miyeon's mind: Even though I'm the only one who will risk everything to protect my best friends, they don't deserve any of my kind

Miyeon's mind: I wish I can move so far away so I can breakaway

Miyeon's mind: I missed Minnie and I hope that she's okay

Meanwhile

Shuhua and Yuqi are at soojin's old place

Shuhua: Yuqi what the hell are you doing?? *she asked*

Yuqi didn't answer her.

Yuqi takes all of the things out from Soojin's old place and set them down on the ground then she brings the gasoline and she begins to pour it.

Then Yuqi pulls out the lighter and begins to set some stuff on fire.

Before Yuqi could have the chance to do it, Shuhua yelled at her as she tries to get the lighter from her but Yuqi isn't giving Shuhua the lighter.

Yuqi screamed at her.

Shuhua still tries to get the lighter.

Yuqi: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING SHUHUA?? *tries to prevent Shuhua from trying to take the lighter*

Yuqi screamed again.

Yuqi: SHUHUA *she yelled out*

Yuqi: SHUHUA STOP

Shuhua takes the lighter from her as she is about to put it in her pocket then Yuqi snuck behind her as she tries to get the lighter back from her again but this time Shuhua holds her down.

Shuhua: YUQI STOP

Shuhua holds Yuqi down on the ground until she calms down.

Yuqi kept fighting with her as she yelled at her as well.

Shuhua: Yuqi please stop

Shuhua: I'm not letting you do it

Shuhua: What is the reason for you to hate Soojin this much??

Yuqi screams as she scoffs.

Yuqi: I don't hate her Shuhua okay??

Yuqi: I'm trying to get rid of all of the bad luck that had happened to us and Soojin is the reason for all of this.

Shuhua's mind: Is that what all of this is about Yuqi??

Shuhua's mind: You hated for us to be separated so it's not the same

Shuhua's mind: What have you been doing for these last few days??

Shuhua gets up from the ground and also helped out Yuqi.

Yuqi: IS THAT ALL YOU CARE ABOUT??

Yuqi: I'M DOING YOU A FAVOR

Yuqi: You said you wanted to get over Soojin remember??

Shuhua let out a gulp.

Yuqi: Remember?? You told Soyeon

Yuqi: You said that you wanted to forget about her because you loved her for so long so now I'm trying to help you and for you to get over Soojin

Shuhua: So that means you can just barge into Soojin's old place to get her things and tried to set it on fire??

Yuqi hugs her from behind.

Yuqi: You don't understand Shuhua

Yuqi: All this time, I felt even more hopeless and empty inside of me, and I don't know why because I hate that feeling inside of me and we supposed to be happy together.

Yuqi: You remember our promise that Miyeon made right??

Yuqi: We were happy and now it's all ruined

Yuqi: I don't know why I bring myself into this because Miyeon wanted so much more than this and we continue to doubt her so much because of it.
