" What are you trying to do " I asked him.
" I need to arrange all these. Why are you standing there. Help me na " he pouted like a kid. Ew.
" I'm not helping you. Do whatever you want. I'm going back " I turned back to leave. But wow. He locked it. What's wrong with him and his locks.
I turned back to him to see him smirking.
" Ahhh " I sighed in irritation.
I comfortably sat on the couch which is unpacked.
" I'm not helping you so continue your work " I said. He smiled and removed his jacket and placed it on the table. He took the broom stick and started sweeping and there I sat staring at him like a creep.
He started cleaning around and I kept drooling over him. He stopped and smirked at me.
" Enjoying the view? " he snapped me and I look so lost. I blinked my eyes and shook my head.
" No " I rolled my eyes and started to scroll on my phone. I again started staring him and he was busy trying to remove the dust from the ceiling and all of the sudden the broom fell from his hands and he groaned in pain. He was on his knees and rubbing his eyes.
I ran towards him and kneeled down to his height.
" Oh my god " I held his hand but he kept rubbing his eyes.
" What happened let me see " he ignored and kept rubbing his eyes.
" There's dust in my eyes " he said.
" Stop " I yelled and pulled his hands away from rubbing them further. His eyes were tightly clutched. I came little closer. I slowly opened his eyes with my fingers and gently blowed. He flickered his eyes and I repeated that twice. He slowly opened his eyes and stared at me. I just realized that we are too close and I crawled a step back and he catched my waist and we both stumbled on the floor.
I was on top of his chest and my heart might come out of my chest. My heart was pounding and I look at him to see him already staring at me with so much of love. Did I say love? How could be that possible. He hates me right?
He gently tugged my hair string behind my ear. I realized that I shouldn't be doing this. I got up and adjusted my dress
" Give me the keys arjun " I yelled
He got up and nodded his head no.
" Fineee I will help you and once you get over this you will let me go "
He smiled and nodded by giving me the broom stick. I started cleaning around. Soon the cleaning session is done. And I fell on couch. Arjun passed me a drink and I gave him a death glare.
" Come on drink this, we still have lot of work to do " I sat up straight.
" What I'm not doing anything more " I screamed.
" Then stay here " he smirked.
" What should I do " I got up snatching the drink from his hands.
" Just help me to Unbox these " he said showing large 3 boxes. He sat on the floor and started to unbox.
I sat opposite to him and started taking the things out.
" FOR GOD'S SAKE YOU'RE A FUCKING BILLIONAIRE AND WHAT WOULD PEOPLE SAY WHEN THEY FIND OUT " I yelled. He chuckled making my blood boil. I started taking the things out. And my eyes fell on a huge frame. Arjun followed my gaze and lifted the frame. He tilted the fame and its. Its our wedding picture! I stared at him in disbelief.
I could feel my heart beat 10times faster. He smiled and placed the frame in his bedroom.
" Seriously? " finally words came out of my mouth.
" What? She's my wife don't drool over me orelse she's gonna punch you " he playfully smiled.
" Arjun..why are you doing this " I sadly sighed asking him.
" Well I came here to know what's the reason behind and until I know why you left me, I'm not leaving " he said.
Anger rushed through my veins. Suddenly he wanted to hear my explanations wow. Thats fucking great.
I continued my work and finally we both completed the work and now the house looks better than before.
It was 12am already and I yawned sheepishly. He looked at me and went towards his desk and handed the key to me. I sighed in relief and snatched the keys from his hands.
" Thankyou for helping me out " he genuinely smiled. I confusingly looked at him and entered my flat. I fall on my bed and closed my eyes. My stomach growled even after eating so much of food in Dada's house.
Wait did he eat anything? I'm sure he doesn't even have groceries with him.
Why do you care meera. Just sleep.
I closed my eyes. Its been 5minutes and I wakeup pulling my hair in fraustation. I'm not getting sleep. I made my way towards the kitchen and made some sandwiches. I knocked the door and he opened the door and his eyes looked puffy. He was good before what happened to him now. He smiled seeing the plate and raised his eyebrows.
I forwarded my hands and he leaned on wall crossing his hands over his chest.
" JUST TAKE IT NA " I yelled.
" What's this " he asked. As if he doesn't know.
" I thought you dint eat anything so.."
He took the plate and his hands wrapped my waist pulling me closer. My hands automatically landed on his chest.
" Feel that? " he whispered in my ears. I closed my eyes and I could feel his chest beating 100times faster. I raised my eyes to see he's already staring at me.
" Arjun " I whispered
" Yes love "
" Leave me please " my voice was slow and he immediately left me. I turned back to leave.
" Wait " I heard a voice and I turned back.
" Eat with me. I dont like eating alone " he asked. I rolled my eyes.
" Please meera " I turned back and closed my door. I leaned on the door and soon I heard his door closing.
I went back to sleep but I kept stirring till 3am. I felt bad I should have listened to him. But he deserved it. Finally I wokeup around 6am. I slept for 3 hours and I honestly dint get enough sleep.
I did my morning chores and decided to walk in the nearby park. I saw Arjun's door locked. I dont know what he's trying to do but I'm sure he's finding new ways to torture me.
I sat on the bench and closed my eyes listening to music. I felt someone sat beside me and I opened my eyes to see a lady in mid 40's staring at me.
" By any chance did you work in any tv show? " she asked. I shook my head as no and she started thinking.
" I've seen you somewhere but I don't remember. By any chance do we know each other ? " she asked me and now I get it. Few years back I was on the news channel, news papers probably everywhere.
" ah...you've probably seen me around the society. I live in that apartment " I pointed the building and then she nodded in agreement.
" You're really beautiful. Why don't you model for me please " she asked.
" What " I stared at her in disbelief.
" Yes. Take my card, I'm a famous fashion designer from New York. I'm in India for a project and the model ditched me " she left out a sad sigh.
" Oh my god are you that famous Rhea Martin. I'm so sorry I dint recognize you. I love your work. I see them everyday on magazine " I screamed in excitement after seeing her card.
" But mam, I'm not experienced and I dont think so I can do it. So please excuse me " I said
" Darling it doesn't need any experience. Please think about it and call me. I have so much work left. My boutique is just nearby. The address is on the card." she said and left me.
I finally reached my apartment and Arjun's flat is still closed. I raised my fist to knock the door but I withdraw my hand.
" Come on princess knock the door " somebody's hot breath from behind gave me shivers.
" Oh my god " I kept a hand on my heart which is pumping out loud. I saw arjun smirking and then he laughed out loud.
I hitted him hard on his arm.
" How dare you " I screamed. He started laughing out loud and suddenly my love of my life - milo started barking from behind.
Arjun flinched and pulled me infront of him. He was hiding behind me like a baby and I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Milo keeps licking my leg and I kneeled down to his height and started patting where arjun stood behind me clutching my hoodie.
Our neighbor took milo away and I smirked seeing arjun.
" You're scared of dogs " I started laughing out loud.
" I'm not " he yelled running his hands through his hair.
" hmm, I saw " I smiled and then my smile vanished when I remembered what I'm actually doing. Arjun stood there staring at me.
" What " I asked him.
" Nothing " he said
" We have to talk " he said.
" but I dont want to " I said.
He leaned on the wall and crossed his hands over his chest and I confusingly stared at him.
" According to the company you signed it for 3 years. So there are still 6 months left. And if you break the contract the company is gonna get a huge loss to which your dada might loose his left over shares in the company and he might become homeless too "
I was burning in anger. For a second I felt bad for not eating with him and for behaving rude with him.
" Ahhhhhh " I screamed in fraustation
" FINE I TAKE MY RESIGNATION LETTER BACK. DON'T YOU DARE DO ANYTHING TO DADA " I slammed the door behind.
I wokeup around 12pm. Yesterday I dint get enough sleep so I slept. I got a call from dada and he asked me why was I not in office and I lied him telling that I'm on leave. He asked me to meet him tomorrow.
I came out to see what arjun is doing and the door was open. So I decided to peak inside and I see him sitting on the couch uncomfortably and typing on his laptop. I came inside and he turned his head back.
" Uh.. I was..just " I stammer and my eyes fell on the sandwiches. He only ate one sandwich?
" Dint you eat " I asked him.
" I..wasn't hungry " he said.
" Did you eat anything since last night " I asked him and he stood there without answering my question. I left out a irritating sigh.
" Come to my flat " I said and closed the the door. Arjun came inside and settled down in the couch.
" you know how to cook right " I asked him from the kitchen.
" Hmm " he said.
" Why dint you eat anything. You can hire workers. For God's sake quit this game arjun " I shouted while cutting Vegetables. I dint hear him saying anything and I turned back to see him staring at empty walls.
I ignored and continued my work. I placed the plate on table and served with him. He got up and went straight into the kitchen and came back with another plate.
He kept the plate on table and served the food in other plate too. He sat on the floor and took my wrist and pulled me down gently.
" Don't deny me this time. Please eat with me " his dull eyes pleaded.
I was confused and then I silently started eating and arjun smiled and started eating it too.
