* Meera's pov *

My wrist was burning because of his steel grip on it. I dint want to waste by energy by screaming or crying this time because I knew he dint care.

" Look what you did, our head office is no more because of a bitch like you " I winced at his harsh words and then looked at the screen. My eyes went wide when I saw the huge explosion.

" I dint do it please trust me " I said in a low voice.

"SHUTUP" he screamed. He opens his laptop and showed me a video where I was giving some files to food delivery guy.

" Arjun I swear to God he told me that James wanted these files and he said James was downstairs that's why I gave him and I dint trust him so I was going to call James but I received a message from him thats why I handed over to him"

Before I complete he marched towards me and I take step backwards. He wrapped his hands around my throat making me unable to breathe.

I was trying to get off him but his grip only tightened. I suddenly stop struggling when I see black dots. But to my bad luck he leaves me.

I fall down breathing heavily. I break into tears unable to control my emotions. The pain was too much.

" DONT BLAME ON OTHERS" he says walking away.

After few minutes he comes out of his home office and looks at me. I was sitting on the floor in the same position crying my heart out.

" slut " he was disgusted with me. He walks towards the main door and opens it. A well built lady officer steps inside and arjun pointed towards me.

She walked towards me and gripped my arm hard. She made me sit on a chair and tied me. I dint fight because this is the only easy way for me not to get hurt

Arjun took out his gun and pointed towards me.

" Now tell me. Why did you do this and who made you do it " he asked me staring me with rage filled in his eyes.

" I dint do anything" I cried out. At this point I was done. I told him and he's punishing me and blaming me for something I dint do.

He looked at the lady and then I received a tight slap from her. My face fell on the other side and it stung so bad. My cheek was burning and I looked at arjun with tears in my eyes.

Slowly it started flowing down like a waterfall but he dint show any emotions. I never knew he was a heartless monster.

" I'm going to ask you again why did u do this " I was quiet because he's not going to believe me no matter what so what's the point?

He was fuming in anger when I dint answer to his question and he looked at the lady again. The lady gave me 3 more hard slaps and this time it was worst than before.

" Answer me " he screamed making me flinch. But I decided to remain silent.

He again looked at her and this time she removed a huge stick.

My body started trembling in fear. I'm getting punished for doing nothing.

" Arjun no you can't do this to me please arjun" I screamed while crying.

" why can't I do this to a whore like you"

The lady raised the rod to hit me and I shut my eyes tightly.

" Stop " a loud voice echoed inside the room and I opened my eyes to look at him catching the rod which was just nearer to my body.

" Get out "  he said and without a word she silently left.

He came towards me and gently wiped my tears away. His eyes was fixed on my cheek and he gently started caressing it with his thumb. I wince lightly because it was burning due to her slaps. His eyes showed concern which shocked me

" what can I do to make you trust me arjun " I asked him while breaking into tears again. The concern in his eyes which I just saw was gone already.

He untied me and placed his gun in my hand " Shoot yourself and die "

That's what he said.

First I was shocked but then I placed the gun on my head and closed my eyes.

To be honest there's no reason for me to live anymore. I'm a criminal to the world. I dont have anyone. I lost my dad. These people are behind me. The most dangerous criminals are behind me. I'll die one day. And its better if I die now than to suffer.

I opened my eyes and saw arjun completely emotionless.

" One day you'll regret everything arjun. Mark my words" I said with hatred lashing out.

*Arjun's pov*

I stopped her because I cannot see this. She's already in so much pain. Those slaps were harsh and those red hand prints on her pale skin stabbed my heart. I shouldn't be feeling bad for her.

I gave her my gun and obviously I dint want her to die that easily. There were no bullets in the gun. I wanted to test her. If I handover the gun will she shoot me or herself?

She said those words and close her eyes and she pulled the trigger. I was so shocked to see her ready to kill herself. Why the fuck would she do that?

She opened her eyes and looked at me confusingly. Tears were continuously pouring out of her eyes.

" You wanted me to die right? " she smiled with her teary eyes. I looked at her confused.

She ran towards the kitchen and grabbed a knife and cut her wrist. Everything happened in a milli second.

I ran towards her and she was about to fall when I catched her in my arms and  fell on my knees with her in my arms.

" Meeraaa" I screamed panic striking inside my body

" Dint you want this arjun " her voice was breaking as she smiled painfully

" Are you mad? " I asked her

I ran out taking her in bridal style. James panicked at the sight and trailed behind me. She was already unconscious.

I took her to the hospital and the doctors rushed into the ICU.

" You'll regret everything Arjun " the words were running in my mind. I sat there with my head in my palms

I hate her but I want her.

Rahul came running towards me and slapped me hard. This was the first time he raised his hand on me.

" What have you done Arjun " he screamed and I was zoned out.

I was ashamed on my act so I dint dare to look into his eyes.

He catched my collar and pulled me harshly " talk to me bastard "

James tried to pull rahul back gently.

Rahul knows that I'm a undercover cop and he is an ex army officer. He resigned after my brothers death. Rahul is 3 years elder than me but he means so much to me.

I explained whatever happened and he was quiet. Even he couldn't believe that meera could do something like this.

" I dont care Arjun. She's like my sister and I am going to protect her no matter what. Try harming her and you'll face my wrath " he said with determination lacing out of his voice.

A nurse came out from ICU " She's out of danger sir. You can meet her "

I fall on the bench in relief and closed my eyes. Rahul shot me a glare before rushing inside.

" Boss I think you need to go inside too " James said and I slowly nod.

Rahul was sitting beside her and he slowly took her right hand in his. My eyes fall onto the left hand which is wrapped in bandage.

She slowly opened her eyes
" ouch " she hissed in pain.

Rahul removed his fingers immediately and saw her bruised hand from the hand cuffs and ropes.

Rahul clenched his fists and gave me a death glare.

He made her sit straight and she smiled at him saying " I am okay "

" Ofcourse you are orelse you wouldn't see him alive by now " he said glaring at me. Her eyes finally locked with mine and her eyes welled up

" Rahul can you go out a for a second" she says with a low voice 

" Are you mad meera, I'm not going to leave you alone with him " he says angrily

" I wont hurt her rahul I promise " I said him and he walks out saying " you better not "

" you should've let me die" tears rolled down her cheeks.

I walked towards her and gently wiped her tears.

" what do you want now arjun"

" Why were you ready to kill yourself meera? " I asked

" I'm tired arjun I'm tired" she was crying uncontrollably.

" What can I do to make you trust me Arjun. You asked me to die. I was going to die but why the fuck did you get me here " she said while crying

I took the glass of water and made her drink.

" How can I trust you meera, you tell me how can I trust you. First you stole my file and leaked it to Karan. Second you hugged Karan and said I missed you. Third you had sex with.. " before I complete she slapped me hardly.

" Why the fuck everyone is slapping me" I thought myself

* Meera's pov *

I dont know from where I got the dare but I slapped him. How dare he insult me? Everything was okay

But last one it was too much to take.

I wiped my tears and took a deep breath.

" Shut the fuck up Arjun. About your file. I explained you already! And I was in office when your woker told me you met with a accident. I ran to the hospital and saw someone dressed like you. I hugged him thinking that its you!But when he turned back I was shocked

And he took me to that place. I was unconscious and I dont know how I ended up there. When I wokeup he said me that my father was murdered.

Tears roll down my cheeks but I wiped it back and continued

He was talking shitty things so I slapped him and he..
My words were breaking.

He.. ripped.. my.. dress. I was crying uncontrollably now and he looked shocked.

" you saved my life again arjun. If you wouldn't have come on time he would have rap.. " before I complete.

He smashed his lips on mine. Every butterfly in this world migrated in my stomach. My eyes went wide as I couldn't believe what was happening.

My first kiss.

He immediately removed his lips from mine looked as shocked as me.

My eyes are wide open because I couldn't process what just happened.

" I..dint.. mean.. to.. do.. that"
He stammered.

My heart was beating 10 times faster than usual and I dint know what to say. It was just a 5sec kiss. It wasn't a kiss as he just pressed his lips to mine.

Why did I liked it?

* Arjun's pov *

I smashed her lips on mine before she completes. I dint know if she was telling truth but seeing her cry like this broke my heart.

Her soft lips touched mine. And thats it all my stress. All my anger just vanished in air.

I realized what I was doing so I took my lips off from her.

It wasn't a kiss though it was just a peck but still what should I say her.

Oh my god I messed it up.

She was startled. I dint want to face her so I ran towards the door. I came out breathing heavily.

Rahul ignored me and walked inside

I sat on the bench andd kept my hand on my heart which was about to explode. What did I do? I kissed her. How can I?

My heart says she's telling the truth but somewhere in my mind is stopping me to trust her.

What should I do now? I was going insane

I called Sam

" Sam i need the cc camera footages of xxx hospital with voice in next 30minutes "
