I was in the daycare, eating my lunch, and making my babies smile.

They were so cute, with their green eyes, long eyelashes and they even had a faint dimples.

I took another bite of my food.

"You girls are so cute!" I told them in a baby voice as they smiled.

The bell rang, making me sigh.

I wiped my mouth and kissed their little foreheads.

I grabbed my tray and unwillingly left. I threw my trash in the huge trash can outside of the daycare room.

"Why didn't you put me in as a person who can see them?" Darren was leaning against the wall.

I sucked in a breath, "You never mentioned it, plus after you called me all those names, I thought-"

His hands were gently on my waist, "I'm so sorry, I didn't even remember" he rested his forehead on mine.

I closed my eyes, embracing this moment before pulling away.

His eyes shot open, "You cant do that, you can't get blackout drunk, staggering to my house calling me a bitch, slut, and whore, when all i ever did was love you with everything I had" I explained. I couldn't let him get away with anymore things being drunk.

"I-I said i was sorry, what else do you want?" He said confused.

"Sorry? Sorry was suppose to patch up this whole mess? I can't believe you" i shook my head.

"What else am I suppose to do?" He raised his voice slightly.

"I don't know! I thought the person you loved was suppose to bring out the good in you!"

"Well then maybe I didnt really love you!" He shouted.

I stepped back. His face clearly showed disbelief in what he just said.

"You didnt love me?" My eyes stinging.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, I didnt mean it like that" he advanced towards.

"I love you" he put his hands on each side of my face.

I pushed him back slightly, "No, you don't get to decide when you can say 'I love you' after I get angry just so it can save an argument! It doesn't count if you don't mean it" I glared with a tear slipping from my eyes, nose running, I began to walk out but turned back around to him, "You know what, Darren? We're done, if you want to see Vanessa and Lily, you have to contact my mom, because I'm not going to get hurt again by someone who's been keeping secrets and risked our relationship for it"

With that, I stormed out of the day care department into the wide hallway.

I quickly wiped away my tears with my shirt. It hurt so much, thinking someone didn't truly love me, but it hurt the most when he admitted it. I walked to the girls bathroom, furiously grabbing paper towels and cleaning my face up.

Someone stood to the sink next to me.

Naomi.

"Maisie, I don't necessarily like you, but I know when a girl is hurting and feeling pain" her eyes didnt hold a glare at me, they were soft and sympathetic.

"I feel like I'm empty after what just happened"

"I'm so sorry, my best advice to you is to let it all out, if you suppress it longer, the longer and harder you'll be hurting over someone" she handed me a tissue out of her bag.

"I just don't understand, what did I do wrong?" I groaned.

"You did nothing wrong, Darren is Darren, it doesn't always have a happy ending with teen parents, especially with him as one"

"Everything was just so perfect" i sighed.

"But it wasn't, every relationship has flaws" she thought deeply.

"Like his cheating, my best friend sneaking around my back, and them constantly lying about everything happening" I started to realize.

Of course Darren and Madison did it, because they both drink. All those times Darren was acting a bit off, he'd done something. I remember back to when he got me a daycare application, he was late and acting jittery.

"Damn!" I yelled, throwing my paper towels on the floor as I paced back and forth.

"Heartbreak is unavoidable, i hope you can get over it soon, you have babies to take care of" Naomi gently patted my shoulder before exiting the bathroom.

I stared at myself in the mirror. Eyes were starting to turn red, and I looked like a wreck. I took a deep breath. My long dark hair was all over and getting harder to take care of.

I walked out, hearing some commotion from the area the daycare was in.

I was going to grab my bag that i forgot, but seen a glimpse of Madison.

I quickly hid around the corner.

"You really messed everything up with Maisie, she won't forgive you, once you do her wrong, she's done with you" Madison said.

"So did you!" He yelled back.

"You don't think I know that? She was my other half, and I loved her more than anything, she's my best friend" Madison stated quietly.

"I hate myself for letting any of this happen" I heard Darren sigh, "this is what I was scared of, I didn't want to hurt her"

"You know she was really in love with you? She was always with you, you were one of her top priorities" Madison softly laughed, "I can't believe I did any of this behind her back"

I couldn't listen anymore, if I did, I probably would've forgave them right then and there.

I walked around the corner, past them and into the department. I carefully opened the door, seeing little kids around the age of one and two playing with the plastic toys. I walked across and into the baby room. I spotted my back pack by Vanessa and Lily's crib. I grabbed it and saw them sleeping. Their hair eventually turned dark like mine, and they had faint freckles on their nose and cheeks.

"You haven't been to class yet?" The day care lady asked.

"Forgot this" i put my backpack on.

I kissed my babies before leaving, again.

This time when I walked out, Madison and Darren weren't there. I sighed in relief and started to walk back to class.

-

I made it home, with a ride from Chance. Chance and I were still friends, he also forgave Darren. He still hasn't forgiven Madison yet.

I was downstairs in the living room, with Vanessa and Lily in their swingers. I flipped through the channels, sitting on the couch.

There was a faint knocking. I sighed before getting up to answer.

It was two people I thought I'd never see on my front porch.

"What are you guys doing here?" I suspiciously looked at Naomi and Landon.

"I know you hate me but, I know what happened" Landon carefully looked at me.

"I still care about you and just wanted to know if you're alright" Landon's brown eyes held concern.

I looked at Naomi to see her looking at me the sane way, "Yeah, I'm hurt but" I looked at the twins, "I'll be okay" i looked back at the couple.

"I always knew Madison was a sneaky bitch" Landon said with disgust, "She tried talking to me after we broke up" Landon said again.

I looked back at him, "What?"

Naomi chuckled with out humor, "Some best friend"

"You guys are liars" I was angry at this point.

"Maisie, you're too innocent to see the games being played in high school" he leaned against the door frame.

I rolled my eyes, "Might as well come in" I started to head back in the living room.

I heard the door shut and the pair following me. I sat on the couch, Landon sat on the black recliner with Naomi on his lap. Her legs dangling off the side.

"Since when did you two get interested in my life?" I questioned.

Vanessa and Lily sleeping peacefully made me warm inside.

"Everyone's been interested since you had a yelling match in the cafeteria, not to mention your argument in your history class" Naomi chimed in, her hair was colored a pastel purple now.

"And the best friend screwing your boyfriend thing was bound to spark curiosity" Landon smirked.

I shook my head, "I just dont get this, nothing makes sense, like me talking to you guys" I put my head in my hands.

"You don't give second chances" Landon stated.

"I can't handle being hurt" I whispered.

"You're a strong woman and a young mom, you could probably do this on your own" Naomi smiled at me.

I nodded. I heard a car outside of my house.

"We have to leave, nice catching up with you" Landon awkwardly patted my shoulder as Naomi shot me a quick smile. I walked them to the door, as they opened it, Darren and Madison were standing there.

Landon looked back over at me, "Good luck" he walked past Darren, briefly stopping before mischievously smiling.

Darren glared at him before looking at me. Madison and Darren walked in shutting the door behind them.

"Yeah, just come into my house without asking, not like it's rude" I turned to go back to the living room. Vanessa and Lily were both awake now. Starting to cry.

I quickly picked up Lily, then Darren picked up Vanessa. I sat on the couch, cradling Lily, who begin to quiet her cries. I looked up at Darren. He was so concentrated on holding Vanessa, his eyes were bright as he was staring at her.

"How old are they?" Madison was sitting next to me, looking at Lily.

"A little over three months" I looked over at Madison.

She looked different. She wore more makeup, her hair was shorter, and her clothes were more on the girly side.

I looked back down to Lily who was sleeping again. Her little nose was covered in faint freckles like her sisters that spread to her cheeks.

"Did you guys want to talk too?" I asked looking at both of them.

"Yeah, I want to ask you before you decide to erase me from your life" I looked up at him from the couch, "I'm graduating this year, so do you want to come?" He sat down with Vanessa.

I smiled a little, "Time flies"

"Yeah" he whispered.

"Yes, I'll come" I stared at him. Still looking the same when we first started to hang out after finding out I was pregnant.
