New chapter!

Not very long chapter I'm afraid.....and not much happens...just some sister/brother bond :) :P

OH BTW I've changed what Lexi wears to the beach in the previous chapter (sorta) :P just to let you know.....so if you wanna see just go back and read :) but it's not that much difference :P

CHAPTER 21

I lift up the bucket slowly, careful not to ruin it and smile as Tom is kneeling eagerly next to it.

“Ooohh....wow” He grins as I pull the bucket fully off revelling a perfect sand castle.

“That’s amazing Lex! I wanna make one!” Tom jumps up beaming and I smile pacing him the bucket.

He dumps some sand into it, pressing it down to make it compressed and then flips it over patting the top of it with his small hand.

“Ahhh ha! Lexi look!” Tom chirps pulling the bucket off to revel and identical sand castle to mine and he looks proud of it.

I smile chuckling slightly and stand up off the sand brushing my shorts off “Yeah, yea you did Tom” I ruffle his hair “How about you make some more while I go get us an ice cream?” I raise my eyebrow at him

His blue eyes flash happily and he nods enthusiastically dropping to his knees and scooping up some more sand.

I smile to myself at how cute he looks and turn around heading up the beach...

“Oi Lexi wait up!” I hear Chris shout from behind me and turn to see him running up from the sea, water dripping of him and he grabs a towel rubbing at his hair as he catches me up....

I smirk slightly at him as he’s just come out the sea and has messed his hair up....

“Wait up, I’m coming with ya” He pants slightly and I start walking again...

“why?” I eye him suspiciously...

Chris laughs smirking down at me “Nothing bad I swear” he holds his hands up and I roll my eyes “I’m helping you get the ice creams” He smiles

I raise an eyebrow “Why? I’m only getting Tom one”

He smirks “Yea but the other boys want some”

I chuckle shaking my head as I should have guessed that.

We walk up the sand laughing as usual and towards the small huts that are around the beach.

“So...tell me...what do you think of April?” Chris asks as we line up in the short queue for the ice creams

I groan rolling my eyes “why ask that? Isn’t it pretty obvious” I cross my arms over my chest.

Chris laughs “Yeah, but that’s what I’m asking” He glances down at me “You obviously don’t like her....but why?”

I nearly choke on my own saliva; did he really just ask that? Ask why I don’t like that fake b*tch!?

 “Can you seriously not see it?!” I ask staring at him as if he’s got two heads and dropping my arms

I mean who the hell cannot see what she is!?

Chris smirks shaking his head “See...there you go....” He trails off “I don’t see anything....just a teenage girl, like you”

I scoff scowling up at him and re-crossing my arms “I’m nothing like her” I hiss feeling offended and glare at him.

“Whoo.....don’t take it in a bad way Lex” Chris smirks lightly turning his head away as we move a bit further u in the queue

I glare at him and elbow him in the side “Prick” I mutter glaring at the floor

Chris just chuckles smirking cheekily at me as we move further up the queue getting nearer and I roll my eyes at him sticking my tongue out childishly.

“Yeah um...six 99 flake ice creams please” Chris says leaning against the wooden counter and smiling at the youngish women behind it.

She smiles and goes to the machine to make them....

“Six?” I question frowning slightly as I thought we’re only getting them for the younger ones, which only means we need five...

Chris smirks down at me slyly “you wouldn’t think I’ll let you go without one know would ya” He says

Realisation hits me and I smile “Oh....” I chuckle “thanks” I say even thou I would have been happy without one, but oh well.

A few moments later the woman hands us the six ice creams......um six ice creams and only two people to hold them....awkward?.....

I smirk as I manage to hold two in one hand, with a little difficultly, but it works as I can hold another in my free hand...and Chris takes the other three.

We head back down to the beach, the sun shining down on us and I squint through the bright rays.....pff it’ll be lucky if these ice creams don’t melt before we get back.....

I jump back down onto the soft sand from the concrete and wobble slightly on my feet getting balance....

Chris laughs “Don’t drop them, otherwise I’ll make you go get them again.....on your own” He smirks and I roll my eyes....

“I won’t drop them” I say and smirk as I see Joe, Jack and Cory running up to meet us.

“ICE CREAM!” Joe shouts grinning and comes to a halt by my feet.

I smile and bend down to their levels “Yeah...here you go boys” I hand Him and Jack one each, both clasp it in their hands with bright hazel eyes.

“Here Cory” I smile at him and ruffle his hair lightly as I pass him is cone.

He grins “thank you!”

Chris chuckles smiling “Guys....do me a favour and take these two to Lee and Tom?” He asks smiling sweetly at them.......

Lazy shit.  I think and smirk at him amused....

“I will!” Cory pipes up and Chris hands him another for Lee.....

Jack takes the other one, promising to give it to Tom and then before we can even blink, all three boys run off back down the beach towards mom and the others......

I smile shaking my head and glance sideways towards Chris.....

He smirks at me with a wicked look in his eye “Oh an here’s yours Lex” He grins and holds the one last ice cream he’s got in his hand out to me....

I smile slightly and start to reach up for it...but as quick as a flash I feel something cold, wet and sticky cover my face.....

“OH gosh! I’ve alwaysed wanted to do that!” I hear Chris laugh.....

I blink opening my eyes to see him doubling over him laughter in front of me.

My eyes turn hard on him, glaring a deathly glare at him as stick ice cream slides down my face.....

I taste some of the sweetness on my lips and lick them....before cringing and shaking my head.......ew!.......he put fricken sand in it too!

A growl rises in my throat as I whip some of my face roughly, “CHRISTOPHER!” I shout glaring at the seventeen year old who’s pissing himself laughing......

Yeah 17 and he still throws ice cream at people’s face!....pff who am I kidding I would have done the same thing....

With that thought...my glare....slowly turns into an evil smirk...causing Chris’s laughter to subside as he watches me...

I glance to the floor noticing the wasted ice cream covered in sand but still wish some ice cream on it.

I smirk and bend down picking it up and looking up to Chris with a raised eyebrow.....

He blinks and starts backing away from me...”Oh no...Lexi...don’t” He tries to warn me but fails as laughter fills his voice...

I walk towards him, as he continues to back up, walking backwards across the sand....which I might add is kinda dangerous as there’s loads of people around.....

I smirk at him “You know I will” I say

“Oh I kno-“ I cut him off by lobbing the last part of the ice cream at him, hitting him square in the head....

He stumbles back ever so slightly laughing....”Urrg...gross...” He chuckles whipping off the mixture of ice cream and sand from his head and scooping it onto his hand....his eyes flicking back to me with that familiar mischievous look in his eyes....

Now it’s my turn to stop and move away from him...sideways....”Oh no Chris! That’s not fair...we’re even!” I whine but still with amusement in my voice.....

I have no time to do anything as without warning his throws what’s left of the ice cream/sand/cone waffle at me, hitting the side of my head.....

I groan.....and turn to him with a pretend glare “Christopher! You are so dead!” I growl and he gives me a mock look of horror before spinning around and sprinting across the sand.

 I take off running after him, the sand flicking up behind my feet as I push myself to catch him up while shouting at him that’s he’s dead once I get him.

We get nearer to the area where everyone else is at...and I see some still in the water but can’t tell who as I’m concentrated on catching Chris up.....

Sprinting past mom and some of the boys, she shouts after us but knows it’s no use as we just ignore her most of the time.......not wanting to be defeated....

“Man you’re sloooowww!” Chris calls over his shoulder at me teasingly and I can hear the smirk clear in his voice....that makes me glare at him and push faster, but have you ever tried running on lose sand? I can tell ya it’s not the easiest thing in the world......

It becomes easier to run as I reach more flatter and wetter sand...so I speed up as much as I can as Chris is heading towards the sea

“CHRIS!” I yell after him, he’s only like a meter or two in front of me.....

I hear him laugh and I swear he slows down just a bit...but I take that as an advantage and when I’m close enough I tackle him from behind.....jumping up onto his back causing him to stumble forward but laugh......

“What he do this time?” Evan calls amused...coming out from the sea which I’ve just noticed is like right in front of us....woo...we ran that far?.......

I struggle with Chris trying to whip what’s left of the ice cream on my face onto...no into his hair and I laugh evilly smirking......

“Ah...you little...” Chris gasps as I manage to smear the ice cream/sand into his hair with him stumbling forward from my weight on his back......

Evan laughs “Looks like I missed out on the fun” He grins and winks...but not at me....at Chris?....

The next thing I know.....is that I’m falling and am instantly socked with salty sea water.......

W-whatt....!?
