Marcello's POV

Definitely not Becky.

The blonde blue eyed woman stood before me shocked and confused, too many emotions happening at once. Seeing her, she had the same golden honey hair Issac has, which led me to believe- was she Issac's mother?

I don't get to think about it as Issac squeals in my arms reaching out to her. Slowly, I set him on the ground, his little legs running to her. "Auntie!"

The woman's shock eyes disappear as she directs her attention to Issac, pulling him into a hug. "Issac! Hmm... how's my favorite nephew?" She asked, running a small hand through his hair.

"Where's mommy?" He frowns, pulling away.

"Mommy went to the store to get you food. She wants you to eat. In the meantime, what do you want to do?"

Issac takes a second to think about it, then he points to his toys that were laying on the living room's floor. The woman who was apparently Issac's aunt smiles and quietly asks Issac to go play in his room. "I'll be there in a second okay?"

Issac being the only obedient kid that he was, listens and does exactly what she told him to do. Checking to see Issac left, the woman turns her attention back to me before saying,

"Who the hell are you?"

~

"Look," I try to explain. "I didn't mean to come and cause a problem but I had to do something. The poor kid was by himself walking in the streets with no one and like I just said Becky was a b*tch. Who treats kids like that? I'm not sorry for coming here because he is back home where he belongs and if you get mad at that then you ar-"

"I get it." She cuts me off. "I would've done the same if I was you."

"Wait...so your'e not mad?"

"No." I cock a brow, confused. If it was me on the other hand, I would be fuming. If I would've known a stranger entered my house and was with my kid, I would lost it.

"You took care of Issac and you took care of that bitch. So, no I'm not mad. Pretty relived actually. Besides, this is not my house. If I have known what Becky was doing to Issac I would've beaten the little slut and thrown her to the curve," She scoffs with an eye roll.

I let out a small laugh, "I don't doubt that. It's cool that I fired her right?"

"Hell yeah, thank god that bitch left. No one hurts Issac." I smile at that. At least Issac has a cool Aunt which meant he was in good hands. I check the time on my watch, almost seven o'clock which means I need to go. I didn't want to leave because of Issac but that's it. I have to go.

For now anyways.

"Well, thanks for not freaking out on me being here but I have to go. Also, do you know when Issac's mother should be back? I need to talk to her," I said a little awkwardly, rubbing my neck just thinking about Issac's mother. I really wanted to spend more time with Issac if that was okay with her.

"She texted me she'll be here soon, if you want to wait..." She presses her lips together, thinking boredly until she completely changes into a cheery mood. Leaning forward with her hands cupping her left cheek, she smiles devilishly.

I knew that look, that's the look my mom gives me when she has the most ridiculous idea.

"Or I can give you her number?"

Number? I wasn't expecting that.

With a dumbfound expression, I open the lock on my phone, giving it to her. She smirks to herself as she quickly typed in a number.

"There you go," She hands me back the phone grinning like she was waiting for a ride at Disneyland.

"I saved it as Issac's mother in the contacts for you to remember who it is," I nod and just then Issac comes out of his room running to me.

"Hey! Look who it is!" I bend down picking Issac for the fourth time today.

"Hehe," He giggles snuggling me into me. I smile but that smile soon disappears when I realize I have to go. I have to leave him. I don't want to but I have to go.

"Bud, I have to go."

"Y-you are leaving?" He looks up, his crystal blue eyes staring at me, trying not to cry.

"Yeah... I have to go home." I state wanting to slap myself for hurting Issac.

"You come back right?" He said hugging me tight.

"Yes bud. I promise." I hug him closer into my chest. I don't want to go.

"Pinky?" He raises his tiny pinky which I gladly return. My finger three times larger than his.

"Bye Issac. I have to go." I whisper, kissing his little forehead before I leave. I set him down where he stands next to his aunt trying not to cry.

I go to leave, waving goodbye. " I'll see you later, Issac." Issac nods sadly waving back.

Bye, Bud.

With that I take my leave knowing all to well I will come back again. For him.

Soon.

Autumn's POV

This sucks. I hate grocery shopping for three reasons. One, everything is more expensive now because of freaking taxes. Like hell I hate taxes. In these times, I swear I will move to another country if I had to. Moving onto number two, you would think carrying groceries and walking would be easier but no it's not especially if you don't have a cart or car. There goes my exercise for the next two weeks. And the third reason is self explanatory, who the hell likes to go to the store. I don't. The whole thing is depressing. I get a whole paycheck that makes me surge with pride only for it to disburse like wildfire.

The whole thing just reminds me how broke I really am. But that's life right?

Finally stepping into my building I make it into the elevator trying get this over with. The sooner the better they say. I lift the grocery bags that were all on forearms and hands, pushing myself to carry them even with the struggle.

God, I wish I was fit.

Ding. The elevator opens, stepping in I put the groceries down with an exhale of relief as the door closes. Thank god for whoever invented elevators.

Pulling out my phone that was in my purse I was carrying along with the groceries I see a new text message from Nessa sent ten minutes ago.

Ness - how far are you?

Me - be there soon.

I type in happily knowing I will see my JellyBean soon. I really had a long tiring day and all I wanted to do was spend time with Issac.

After the whole news about the blackmail, and fraud it put me onto the edge making me feel more stressful and irritated than usual. Issac was probably the only thing in my life keeping me together. I have no idea how I was going to deal with Ms. Mattews, aka Sarah in which name I found out when I was speaking to Mr. Miller about the situation. Sarah was a whole other level of evil. Blackmailing me, for a person to fall in love with her. Was she that desperate?

Thinking about gives me a headache. The elevator finally dings awakening me from my annoyance. Grabbing the groceries with a groan, I find myself in front of my apartment door five minutes later.

Thank God.

"Hello!" I yell once I step in the apartment, groaning while carrying the stupid groceries.

"Mommy!" I hear the voice of my JellyBean making me smile at him even though I'm struggling on the inside carrying the groceries.

Little footsteps echo through the apartment, already knowing he was running to me like he always does when I come home.

"Mommy!" There it is.

"Hey baby," I said happy. Happy that I was finally home with my baby. He hugs my legs not letting go. "Issac, honey let me set these down first okay?"

Issac obeys, letting go reluctantly as I hurry to put the groceries down. Soon enough Nessa runs out to me, the same way Issac did.

"Here, let me help." She grabs some of the bags going into the kitchen.

I follow right behind setting the remaining bags down on the counter. I grin like an idiot finally done with the stupid grocery lifting and carrying.

I turn around and face Issac and grab him. Going around in circles with him in my arms as he giggles.

Seconds later I go into the living room throwing myself in the couch and being extremely careful because Issac was in my arms.

Issac wraps his arm around my neck as I lay against the soft cushion. Nestling his tiny head in my neck I close my eyes finally relax because my Issac was here with me and holding onto me so tightly making all the worries go away.

See, this. This is why I love him and I why I love going home. To him.

I kiss his forehead, fluttering my eyes open for a moment for them to close again, relaxing in his embrace.

But my peace of mind gets ruined when Nessa strides in, taking a seat on the couch next to me.

I know that look. Really Ness?

"You know we need to talk," I roll my eyes, hoping this wasn't another flake of bad news or gossip of Nessa's crazy hookups.

"Okay, but first let me tug in Issac," I whisper to her, still not liking the talk part. As I saw Issac was fast asleep I gently wrap my arms around him, not wanting wake him up. I send Nessa a quick signal to her that I'll come back in a few.

Going into my room I place Issac on my bed, wanting to cuddle with later when I go to sleep. I was thankful he was changed into his Spider-Man pajamas because I was too tired to change him myself.

I cover the duvet over him, kissing his forehead. "I love you baby."

"Okay, what do you want to talk about?" I say reentering the room, taking my previous seat.

Please, not another sexascapade. Please, anything but that.

She squeals, jumping on her toes. "Please, don't tell me it's another one of your late nights again," She flares up slightly, ignoring my comment.

"Okay, I have three things to tell you. First, did you know Becky was a evil bitch and second did you know what Issac did today and whom he brought home?"

"Uh no." I narrow my eyes in a duh tone, "Ness, I literately just got here and what?"

"Don't freak out. Just listen. Issac ran away and guess who ca-" She doesn't get to finish her sentence because I was busy freaking out.

"What?! What do you mean ran away? How did Becky let that happened and why did he run away? Who the hell leaves a kid alone? Was he sad, hurt? What happened Ness? I need to know. Tell me!"

"I just said don't freak out. I'm telling you. Let me finish."

I try to relax but knowing what happened made it worse. I'm practically growing grey hairs right now. How can I relax knowing my son was alone on the streets without anyone watching him? God, I'm a terrible mother. I didn't even know this was happening. Where was I when this was going on and where the hell was fucking Becky?

"That son of a bitch Becky was abusing him calling him names and he ran away. He wanted to find you," She breaks the news, delicately but I'm about to lose it.

"How the hell-" Completely ignoring me again, she continues.

"Thank god that guy brought him home. He even gave Issac food. He was nice and hot. You know he wanted to talk to you but then he left and I gave him your numbe-"

I cut her off, not letting her finish her sentence. "What guy? Hold up, wait what and what about Issac?

"God, damn it women! Let me finish, okay so a guy watched over Issac when he ran away... were you paying attention?"

"Wait a second... can you explain it again. I'm confused,"

"After Issac ran away because of Becky, he bumped into a guy. More liked they walked across the street but that's besides the point. I meet the guy when he got here. Issac gave him the address you told him to memorize."

"He brought him back. He gave him food too. I gave him your numbe-"

"Guy?! What the hell was Becky doing?! I'm going to call her," I get up getting my phone but Nessa pulls me back.

"Becky is taken care of already."

"What do you mean?"

"See, that's why you have to let me finish. I know you're freaking out but please let me finish," She begs with her eyes. I nod, pushing my phone away.

"So the guy who brought Issac home safety, he came and he gave her his peace of mind to Becky and he fired her. He stood up for Issac and that child abuser slut will never bother us again."

She stops speaking, thinking to herself for a moment. "At least I think she won't. He seemed really sure."

"Is that it?" I said to be sure.

"Uh no." Ness nervously chuckles, her cheeks flaring a deep red. Oh no... what did she do?

"What did you do?" I raise a suspecting brow, telling her that I know somethings up. She's guilty of something that's for sure.

"I didn't do anything." She was too quick to respond. Yup, she's guilty.

I give her a look, the look that said it all. "Okay, I tell you."

"So, you know how I was saying he was hot and perfect."

"Yeah?" I had no idea where she was going with this but I wanted to know.

"Igavehimyournumber." She numbers so quickly, I didn't hear what she just said.

"What? Ness, I didn't hear you."

"I gave him your number," She blurts out, taking me by surprise. Out of everything she could've said, I wasn't expecting that.

I laugh hysterically not knowing what else to do. Nessa frowns looking at me like I was insane.

"What?" I stop my laughs. Why wasn't she laughing? This was funny.

Nessa turns her head, not making eye contact. She never does that only if she was mad or too upset. Was she that mad?

"Your not mad are you?" Nessa mutters a no but I know she's lying. She doing that I-don't-want-to-tell-you look.

"Ness, talk to me." I nudge her shoulder, Ness sighs not wanting to talk to me.

"Autumn, I love you and all but why can't you see how beautiful and what a goddess you are. For god sakes, you're a hot twenty four year old mother who doesn't go out and have fun. Who sacrifices everything and gets nothing. I think you need to get out there, I thought he was perfect for you. If your'e not comfortable with it, I get it. But when I look at you, I see this amazing woman who's a wonderful mother. You always work, and you're always with Issac. You know it's okay to have fun and go out once in a while. I'm here to take care of Issac any day."

"Ness," I sigh, knowing this will give disappointment to her and her efforts. "I know you mean well and you want me to get back out there but I can't. I-I can't because Issac needs me and look what happened with Becky. I'm can't. I know that's not what you wanted to hear but that's the truth."

"Yeah... I know. I was just saying it's okay to go out once in a while. Not just on a date but in general. It's okay to breathe,"

"I know and thanks." I smile."So, by any chance did you get his name?" I ask because I was curious not because I was interested.

"His name is... fuck." She utters.

"What?"

"I forgot to ask for a name." She groans facepalming her forehead, making me laugh.

~
"Hey, Lydia." I greet my co-worker who was also a friend. She worked at the front desk as a receptionist. I occasionally had lunch with her during the week, when Issac was at the daycare. After the whole Becky situation I asked the private investigator I hired to find Issac's father to run a background check on the workers who worked there.

Call me paranoid, but I don't really care. I didn't want my baby to go through what he went through again.

Safe assured, everything was good.

"Hey," She waves back as I smile. So far, everything was now good. Nothing could ruin my day now. Crash!

I said that too soon.

"Gosh, that hurt," I say rubbing my forehead that hit the brick wall.

"Are you okay? Miss," A deep voice interrupts me. Looking up, I noticed a familiar body. His body seemed familiar to me which was extremely weird.

Damn it!

I didn't crash into a wall, I crashed into someone again. A man to be precise.

"Oh my..." I look up to his face, realizing who it was.

"I-it's you," I breath out breathlessly, finally taking him in.

Crap...I'm in trouble.
