Im waiting for matt in the car to come out of target. I think he's grabbing some snacks or something.

20 minutes go by. what is he doing? Its taking a long while. I grab my phone and text him.

me: matt where are you?

matt: ill be out there, hang on.

me: okay take your time ❤️

I'm sure hes just paying for his things.

10 more minutes go by. what the fuck is he doing? im going inside. I unbuckle my seatbelt and open the passenger door. I walk into the store. I dont see matt at the check out. I walk into each isle. I get into the drink isle and hear 2 people talking. It sounds like... "matt?" I put my hand over my mouth. him and another girl kissing. not just some girl, his ex. "um whats going on?" I say removing my hand from my mouth. "y-y/n its not what it looks like. at all!!" he stutters. "yes it is matt, just tell her. you know you love me" the girl says. "what the fuck? No i dont!!" he yells. I walk out of the isle running outside. "Y/N!!" He yells running behind me.

I stand by the target outside, crying my eyes out. "y/n it wasnt what it looked like. please let me explain!!" He says trying to hug me. "there isn't anything to explain matt. please take me home" I walk to the car. "y/n im so sorry, but you have to believe me." He says pulling off. I ignore him.

flashback of what happened with matt and his ex:

"wait, matt?" his ex says. "um..leah?" he says looking over to her. "its been a while. your still cute as ever i see." she says walking closer trying to flirt. "I have a girlfriend and shes in OUR car." he says stepping back a few. "i dont care. you should be with me matt." she says. "n-no i shouldnt. you need to leave" he says grabbing his stuff. "but matt, this is a public isle" she replies. "can you please fuck off!!" he says trying to walk away until she grabbed his arm and pulled him closer. forcing him into a kiss. "what are you doing!! get off!!" he yells. she didnt get off. she kept trying to kiss him. "matt? whats going on" y/n says.

"please let me explain baby!" He yells pulling up at my house. "matt!! just stop trying to cover it up!! I saw what happened. Its over." i say getting out of the car. "what? over?? y/n..no please!!" ne says pulling my arm. "no!! goodbye matt." I say walking away from the car.

its been a day since the incident with matt. I still can't believe this. I mean i thought he loved me. I hear a knock on my front door. "I swear matt if-" i cut myself off. Its chris. "Chris?? What are you doing here?" I say. "You have to believe matt!! His ex is crazy. She's not over him and she forced him to kiss her. He was trying to buy his stuff and she pulled him in to kiss. He tried to push her off but she wouldn't let him!!" He explains. "how do i know you guys aren't lying?" I ask. "We asked for footage from target. I recorded it from my phone. I can show you everything!" he says. "okay just hurry." I say letting him inside.

he shows me everything. "oh" i say in relief. "yeah. y/n..matt is crazy about you. he's inlove with you and he wouldn't do that to you." he says. "is he okay? i didnt mean to yell at him. I was just-" i say getting cut off. "honestly i dont know. his anxiety is all over the place y/n. go get your boyfriend." he says with a small smile. i put on my air forces and one of matts hoodies. chris and i run out of the house into the van.

when we arrive to their house, we walk up to the front door. chris unlocks it with his keys. As soon as the door opens i run up to matts room. I knock. "matt!" I yell with a shaky voice. "matt baby its me" i continue knocking until he opens the door. "y/n please dont leave me.." he says with tears pouring down his eyes. "nono matt i won't. Im so sorry i didn't believe you." I bring him a hug. He hugs me tight, which makes me know that hes actually not okay. "Im so so sorry matt." I hug him even tighter. "hey look at me" i say. "I love you so much matt. i know i should have more trust in you." I say. "i love you so much y/n" he replied with a muffled voice. "Im sorry for this huge misunderstanding." he says kissing my forehead. "its okay matt, it wasnt your fault."
