Jason's P.O.V.

'Should I have kissed him?' I asked myself. 'Probably not. What if he was not ready. He would stop talking with me again.' I argue with myself. It was so hard holding back from kissing him when his lips were just centimeters apart from mine. 'NO. No. You did good Jason. It was not even a date. Was it? But he agreed to go on a date with me.' I went down the memory lane. Just thinking about today makes me so happy that I feel like I have used up all the amount of happiness in my life.

"PPPPUUUUFFFF" Conri puffed and rolled his eyes.

"What?" I asked.

"You hugged him." He replied in an irritated voice.

"Yes. Isn't that amazing?" I said cheerfully.

"AMAZING! It has been five years since we found our mate. We should have our cubs running around at this point." He was angry. "And how far have we come...We hugged our mate. YAY...HURRAY," He added.

"You know what happened between us. It's not easy."

"And who's fault is it." He asked in the same irritated voice.

"I know, I know. I messed up and it is because of me that you are suffering. I'm sorry about that." I said. "But don't you think we can finally work this out. Today I even didn't use the serum." I added I don't know why but no matter what I was only feeling happy today.

"Ya...THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT. Let's not use that fucking poisonous son of a bitch liquid never again." He said warning me.

"You know if I didn't use it... we would have been dead, right?" I said and Conri just went silent. I was also not enjoying taking that thing but I had no choice. But it's different now. I survived today without using it, I can't believe the magic that Owen's scent has. It is like an elixir, I think it would bring me back from death if I just sniffed him.

I reached the packhouse in a few minutes, and Conri was quite all the way. And I just kept thinking about all the things that happened today and the smile just wouldn't leave my face. I parked the car in the garage and when I got off Aiden was already waiting for me.

"Alpha, I've arranged all the papers that need your immediate attention on your desk. Please go through them before tomorrow morning. And we have received the reports from the business owned by Wolfe group. They have to be reviewed before Monday. I have also set them on your desk. And-" He was going on but I cut him off.

"And hello, Aiden How was your day?" I said sarcastically. Does this dude ever think about anything else besides work?

"Well, it was hectic, nothing new." He replied sincerely. Can he be any denser?

"I said that sarcastically," I said as I started to walk. "You could at least not talk to me about work the first thing when you say my face. At least greet me, dude." I said making that duh expression.

"I would have if someone had come back by the time he said he would." He said raising one eyebrow.

Wah! He always wins the argument. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the alpha or he is. I didn't know how to reply to that so I just kept walking.

"So, how was it?" He asked when we entered my room.

Oh! I was dying to show off, I was waiting for someone to ask me that question. HA HA HA.

"It was amazing. You know I picked him up from his hose, he dressed nicely, then I dropped him to the interview. There was a waiting area so I went there and when he came back you wouldn't believe how good he looked. He looked like an office worker when I picked him up but when I saw him after the interview he just changed the way he was wearing the shirt but he looked super cute. How can someone's look change in minutes? I literally felt my mind and heart blow up." I said as I sat on my bed. "And you know the necklace I showed you yesterday. I said I'd give it to him?" I paused waiting for his reaction.

"UM...Hum..." he said nodding in agreement.

"I gave it to him. At first, he put it in his bag saying that he'd wear it on a special occasion. Not gonna lie, at that time I felt a little sad. But then he wore it when his interview ended." I jumped up from the bed and started jumping while grabbing Aiden's hand. "He must have thought it was a special occasion." I was still jumping. I don't think I can stop. "Then I took him to the lunch at my restaurant near the river. I took him there because I thought he might not be ready to be seen with me. And we talked about everything. Can you believe this?" I asked. I must be looking like a kid who just got his favorite candy.

"No...I really can't." He said with an emotionless face. I think he is feeling jealous because I have this amazing mate and he doesn't. Am I gonna stop? No, never.

"And that's not even the best part. After I dropped him at his place, I..." I said.

"You...what?" He pretended to be curious.

"I...Hugged him." I said. I can't stop this adrenaline rush.

"You are this happy over a hug...not even a kiss...just a hug?" He said trying to make me feel bad.

"Well, At least I can hug my mate. Not like you who doesn't even know who his mate is." I backfired. I felt bad after I said that when I saw his eyes shiver for a second. "I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry." I genuinely feel bad now.

"It's okay. I know you didn't mean it. Also, lately, I'm getting the feeling that I'll find my mate soon." He replied.

"You will find your mate soon," I said. "Also, call all the people we hired to help me get ready for today. They have more work to do." I added.

"What for? After rejecting his fifty costumes and making him cry three times, I don't think he would ever want to work for you." He replied.

"You know it too, none of his dresses was perfect. Was I supposed to wear those trash when I was going to meet Owen!" I said, like how am I wrong. He was one of the best designers in the country but none of his designs were good enough.

"Well! You eventually wore his clothes." He replied with a smirk. I just glared at him. I just want everything to be perfect when I'm with Owen.

"Just ask him to come back. I'm going on a date with Owen this Sunday. So ask him to give me an attire for that. He has twenty-four hours." I ordered and saw Aiden was surprised. "Yes, I'm going on date with Owen Is it that surprising?" I asked with a duh tone.

"No...Not that. When did you say you are going on the date?" He asked.

"This Sunday! Why?"

"At what time?" he was still not conscious.

"Nine in the morning! Is there a problem?" I was really scared now. Why Aiden is giving this strange look.

"Fuck! It is bad." He only said that.

"What? What NOW? JUST FUCKING SAY IT." I was feeling angry and scared at the same time. Like can one thing go the way I want? Can my life go smoothly for once?

"You remember the blue moon pack wanting to merge with us?" he said. I really am not liking the way this conversation is going. "They are coming to sign the agreement this Sunday." He added. FUCK.

"At what time will they be arriving?" I asked trying to find a loophole. If it is in the evening or late after I can still spend some time with Owen.

"Um...Nine a.m." He answered and went silent.

FUCK...FUCK...FUCK...

Fuck. I was really looking forward for the second date. Will we not get the second date? Why did the people from the blue moon pack had to show up now. FUCK. I should have seen this coming, everything was going rather too smoothly. Why can't we have a smooth ride, why is it a roller coaster? Well, I like roller coasters but still. I've been planning to upload that book since last two months but as my exams were just around the corner I kept pushing it back.
