Owen's P.O.V.

'I hate, Jason!' I was so mad right now. But why am I smiling? Ugh...I hate him. Because of him I barely slept last night. That stupido decided to be all romantic and asked me to the ball like he was asking me to the prom. And hence I was up till four in the morning because I was so excited and was looking at that stupid brooch he got me. And as a result, it is eleven in the morning and I just got up.

I glanced at the table in the corner of my room where that stupid box was. 'Do I have an upset stomach!' I was not sure because it was acting weird right now.

"Can you be any more stupid? You are getting butterflies. Just accept it already. You love him." Vlad was rolling his eyes.

Hearing him made me freeze, I felt the sudden decrease in my body temperature, my room felt like the north pole and I got chills down my spine. I tried to take my mind off his statement and not overthink it.

My phone lit up out of nowhere and When I glanced at the screen it was a text from Jason. I could not hold myself back and checked it immediately.

'Hey'

'Should I pick you up at 7:30 today?'

'Wait what did he mean by that? Why would he pick me up?' I was shocked.

                                                                                   'Why?'

'Wym by why?'

                                                                                    'Why would you pick me up?'

He did not reply after that but he called me. I answered the call, and he spoke before I could open my mouth.

"What did you mean by that? I asked you to the ball, and I am supposed to pick you up. You can pick me up if you want to, I don't mind." He was frantic.

 "NO! NO! You can't pick me up!" I was scared.

"Why not?"

"Because my parents don't know," I explained.

"Awww...Owen, you're so cute." he was laughing so hard.

 "What..."

"We are going to tell everyone about us today anyway, it would not matter much if your parents found out an hour ago." he was laughing so hard that he was out of breath.

It never occurred to me, but what he said made sense. "Hurray... Sherlock solved another case." Vlad spoke, mocking me.

"Owen! Owen! Are you there?"

"Yes...yes... I... I think we can do that." I answered.

"Good. So I'll see you in the evening," he added.

"Okay," 

I replied. After that none of us knew what to say but we did not want to hang up the phone so there was a long silence.

"OWEN! OWEN!" Andrei was shouting from outside my room. "I'm coming in." He added.

"Wait a minute!" I shouted back to Andrei.

"Is it Andrei?" Jason asked.

"Yes! I gotta go. See you in the evening. Bye," I said and hung up.

"Yup!" I spoke as I opened the door.

"Do you know what time it is?" Andrei asked.

"Yes!"

"Then what are you still doing in your room?"

"I was sleeping. I could not sleep well last night?"

"Okay but let's go have brunch together. I gotta go after that." He said.

"Where are you going?" I didn't know he had other plans.

"To the hotel where people from my pack are staying. I have to attend a ball with them."

"Ah! Just give me a minute"

"Okay," he said and went down.

I went straight to the bathroom and got ready. After that, I went down to the kitchen where Andrei was waiting for me. He was making eggs. There were sandwiches, some fruits, and a beautiful chocolate cake. The kitchen smelled amazing.

"Since, when did you start cooking? Did you make all this? For me?" I asked as I sat at the counter.

"You wish! Your mom made all this. For me. I'm just making the eggs." He answered.

"By the where are they." I meant my family.

"Your dad drove your mom and Hailey to the parlor." He only needed to say that and I understood what he meant.

"I thought you haven't had breakfast!" Didn't he just ask me to have brunch with him?

"How could I not eat when these all things were on the menu! I just asked you because I want to talk with you before I leave," he replied. He looked serious.

"Why are you so serious?" I was concerned.

"You know that I'm not a supporter of you being with Jason, given what he did to you-" he was saying but I cut him.

"Andrei," I said. "You know me, I would not have accepted him if he was the same person. But he is not the Jason he used to be. He has changed." I was ranting but this time he cut me.

"I know...I know...Just hear me out." He spoke and I stopped talking. "As I said I still do not support the idea of you being with him, even though I believe everything that you said." He was trying to make a point. "But we all knew that this was gonna happen, sooner or later. Because he is your mate." He paused for a second.

"So, I can't say anything. What are we to go against the wish of the lunar goddess? But I just want you to know that you will always have a place back in Lunardale and in Blood Moon Pack. So, just remember that." he stopped and served me the eggs and orange juice.

"I know Andrei. I know. And I will always remember that. You better not change your mind." I was trying to crack a jock.

"What are you talking about I'm gonna forget it as soon as I walk out of that door." He fired back and we both were smiling. I'm so grateful to him. I'll always be. He is the person who was there when I was going through my worse. He is my best friend.

"Ugh...But it makes me mad," he said.

"What?"

"Now, everyone I know has found their mates..."

"Don't worry. You'll find your mate soon. I'll help you too. I'll find your mate even if I have to go to the other side of the universe." I said with an expression like I was going to war.

"You better not change your mind." he was mimicking me. And seeing that I almost sprayed the egg in my mouth because I burst out laughing.

Then his phone rang. "Okay, I'll be out right now," he said and hung up the phone. "Okay, gotta go. My security team is waiting." He said to me. He then went into the hall where his bags were and I followed him. "See you tonight." He was standing in front of the main door.

"Yup, see you tonight," I replied as he went out.

I'm loving these sweet moments between Owen and Jason.

He is gonna pick Owen up  and they are finally telling the parents and the ball is HHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. What do you think will happen?

Also, to all the Andrei lovers out there (including me) he is not going away. He is just going to the hotel where other people from his pack are staying.
