A Mate Needs

>>Lenny’s POV 4 Minutes earlier<<<

“So Freddy.” I said turning to the guy while Jess and Anthony walked to the other side of the room. Aww they probably think they’re ditching me how cute. I decided to ignore them and let them have some fun. Momma would take care of that anyways. “Where is this son you’ve told me about.”

“He’s not here yet.” Fred said with a shrug. “As late as usual.”

“Aww.” I said in disappointment. “Oh well I’ll just stay with you.” I wrapped an arm around him making him laugh.

“Excuse me.” I male voice said making me turn to see a man that looked exactly like Theo James’s Twin dressed in a white lab coat carrying a stethoscope around his neck. “And who might you be?” he asked making me grin.

“I’ll answer your question if you answer mines Doc. Who might you be?” I asked getting a surprised look from the guy before his face turned serious again.

“Ronald McKay.” He stated. “Beta of the pack. And that’s my husband and mate your acting so intimidate with.”

“Well you can join if you want love I won’t mind.” I smiled innocently.

“Ronnie.” Fred stated with a laugh. “This is Lenny. The guy I met in the park that I told you about.”

“Oh.” Was all the doc said before lifting me off of Fred very easy and grabbing his hand. “Well it’s been nice meeting you Lenny, but I have to have a talk with my husband.” He said sternly before turning away from me. I mouthed a quick ‘sorry’ to Fred making with smile and give me a quick thumbs up before disappearing in the elevator.

Well someone’s jealous. Damn I’m not that type of guy. I’m Flirty not dirty. I’m not that that desperate. I scanned my surroundings at the pack and saw everyone looking… well happy. It was a nice and warm feeling to belong somewhere again, and especially to have a much larger family. It’s always been just me, Jess, Jin and mom against the world, literally. We’ve been to so many places in so many countries it’s not funny. I guess that’s why I’m so happy to belong here. It already felt like home sweet home.

That’s when the scent hit me.

It happened so fast I didn’t even remember where I was or what I was doing. The next thing I knew I was inhaling the most delicious scent of freshly baked bread as if I just walked into a bakery as the stove opened.

‘Mate!’ my wolf, Mayle screamed making my eyes widened at the revelation.

“W-What.” I shuddered.

‘Mate!’ she repeated.

‘I heard you the first time!’ I said in my head as I searched the room. The scent led my eyes directly to the elevator to reveal a tall figure that stared his light blue eyes straight into my own brown ones. He stood there for a second until moving in my direction and stopped three steps away from me to look… disgust.

“It’s you?” he stated. “This has to be a mistake.” He stepped back as I gapped at him in shock.

“Excuse me.” I said turning around to the table filled with snacks and beverages as I grabbed the nearest glass that was still hot and threw it at him straight in the eyes.

“Ahh!” he yelled wiping his eyes. God I hoped that hurt I thought as the attention of everyone gathered on us.

“I am not a mistake.” I said emotionless before turning to walking away.

“I’m sorry!” he stated making me stop in my tracks and turn to look at him incredulously. Did he really think it was going to be that easy? Not with me. My wolf wined inside telling me to forgive and be with our Mate, but I wasn’t going to give in like a love struck idiot.

“Sorry!?” I growled stepping closer. How dare he try that after saying that to me. Dom, Mate or not I don’t deserve that type of treatment. “You’re sorry?!”

“I didn’t mean it like that! Really I didn’t just forget what I said.”

‘Are you freaking kidding me?!’ I thought.

“If you don’t want me just reject me now and save us both the troubles Asshole!” I said before storming out of the room not even bothering to look back.

>>Jess’s POV<<<

“I think I should go look for him.” I said giving Anthony a quick peck before turning away.  What stopped me was when he grabbed my wrist making me look at him in question.

“Take the elevator.” He instructed. “ Just say your full first and last name and where you want to go.”

“Alright.” I said with a smile, I turned again, but he still had his grip on me. “You… can let go.”

“Jess.” he said nervously. “I really need to talk to you.”

“Okay hurry I have a best friend to comfort.”

“Not here. Meet me at room 101 eleven o’clock Alright?”

“Sure thing. I’ll see you later.”

“See you later.” I said walking towards the elevator.

‘Lenny?’ I said through our link. I needed to know where he was.

No answer.

‘Len?’

Still no answer.

‘Come on Len it’s just me. Answer.’

‘…Yea Jess.’ he answer making me sigh in relief.

‘Where are you?’ I asked.

‘I… have no idea.’ He said making me face palm myself. We just got here of course he’s lost. ‘There is a pool here though.’

‘Alright I’ll try to find you.’ I said ending the link and stared at the elevator door like an idiot.

“Um…Jessacob Fairwar. Place where the pool is..?” I said unsurely, but to my surprise the door opened making me slip inside before it could close.

After a few seconds of waiting the door finally opened as I stepped out quickly  as I admired the seen before me. It’s official. I love this place. Here in front of me was the definition of a private beach. Palm trees were arranged beautifully across the place and sand perfectly smooth framing the hundred yard length of the pool in the center.

“Whoa.” Was all I said.

“I know right!” a familiar voice stated making me jump in surprise.

“Lenny?”

“No Scott McCall. Of Course its me.” He said appearing behind a palm tree. “I swear Jess, these people are loaded. It’s no wonder Anthony’s such a brat.” He took of his tennis and went by the edge of the pool to dip his feet as he sat down. “Come on in.” he said as I shook my head. “It’s just your feet. It won’t kill you.”

“I don’t think-“”

“Pleeaaassee Jeeessss.” He wined kicking his feet in the water like a four year old.

“Fine.” I said defeated as I took of my checkered tennis and went by the edge beside Lenny. My toes hit the cold surface of the water as I shuttered at the temperature. “It’s cold.”

“Seems fine to me.” He shrugged swinging his foot back and forth.

“…Was he your-”

“Unfortunately yes.” Lenny stated quickly before I could say the word.

“You Okay Len.” I put my hand on his shoulder.

“Yeah I guess. It’s just that I thought meeting my mate would be more… I don’t know special. That’s not how I imagined our first encounter.”

At that he told me every single detail on what happened and what Will had said to him leaving me in total understanding why he did what he did.

“Well that was a douche move.” I said in understanding.

“Yep.” He popped the ‘p’. “I’m not the one in the wrong. If he wants me he’ll come back. If he doesn’t-”

“It’s his lost.” I finished not wanting him to degrade himself.

“Thanks Jess.” he smiled genuinely.

“Anytime Len. Don’t worry about it I bet Tony’s defending you right now to him.” I said confidently.

>>>Anthony’s POV<<<

I shouldn’t be laughing. I shouldn’t, but hell I was having a good laugh right now when Will told me what he said to Lenny, but what made me laugh was when he told me the stupid reason why he did it. I shouldn’t be laughing, but I am. Right now we were both in my room as he explained what happened.

“You’re an idiot.” I said simply after hearing him out. I’m probably supposed to be defending Lenny right now, but I right now I think I’ll just make this idiot feel bad about  himself for Len instead. “May I remind you your bisexual?”

“I know I am.” He said shaking his head in regret. “Why the hell did I say that?”

Apparently this stupid cousin of mine panicked when he found out his mate was a guy, and let the whole ‘this has to be a mistake’ out of his big mouth out loud, making Lenny hear him perfectly. This is an annoying thing about Will, he literally says what’s on his mind whether he knows it or not. If he’s wondering about what he wants for breakfast he’ll literally say ‘What should I have for breakfast.’

“Your screwed dude.” I said honestly. “You’re the one that has to apologize and knowing Lenny Fairwar. He’s not going to give you consent just like that, especially after what you’ve done.”

“No one would want to give their consent after what I’ve done.” He stated putting his head in his hands.

“True, but you’ve got a double whammy my friend. You haven’t gotten to know him like I have. You’re literally going to work if you’re serious.”

“I’ll do it.” He said getting up. “Do you know where he went?”

“Whoa I don’t think you should see him right now.”

“Why not?”

“You unintentionally in a way rejected him just now.”

“I didn’t-”

“I know Will, but you should wait. At least until both of you clear your heads.”

“Fine.” He stated getting up to the door. “I’m going to the pool. Don’t wait up.”

“Yeah.” I simply stated as he disappeared out the door.

‘Is it time yet.’ Ian growled in my head.

‘No. Ten more minutes til he gets here Ian. Stop being impatient, you can’t expect him to just give in, because we’re sick.’ I retorted.

‘You know if you try he might consider it.’ He said hopefully.

‘No Ian. I want to wait.’

‘Wait how much longer! We’re dying Anthony.’

‘No we’re weak there’s a difference. I’ll do it when the time is right.’

‘And when will that be?’ he growled making me laugh.

‘That’s the thing Ian.’ I stated ‘I don’t know.’

>>Jess POV<<

“I got to go Len.” I said taking my feet out of the water. As I noticed what time it was.

“Meeting Romeo later?” He smirked. Well at least he’s back to his old self.

“That’s for me to know.” I winked.

“Hey no fair. I want some of that too. Can I join?”

“Nope.” I laughed.

“Oh come on Jess.”

“Nope.”

“Why not?” he wined.

“Cause I’m saving you for later.” I winked making him smirk at the statement.

“You’re a naughty boy Jessacob Fairwar.”

“I’ve learnt from the naughtiest Lenard Fairwar.” I retorted before getting up. “You coming?”

“Nah I think I’ll enjoy the view more. I’ll come later.”

“Alright just use the elevator. Say your full first and last name and where you wanna go. I’ll see you later.”

“Alright. Love ya.”

“Love ya too Len.” I stated before walking towards the elevator. “Jessacob Fairwar room 104.” I said as the door opened instantly. Well this is one way to travel.

As the door opened and I stepped out quickly, it revealed what you’d call a cleaner version of a teenage boy’s room except the fact that it looked more like it belonged to a teenage prince. I mean how loaded are these people. Jezz. There on a king sized bed was dear Anthony McKay smirking at my arrival.

“You made it.” He said making his way over to me.

“I said I would come. You have something you wanted to-” I started to state, but was interrupted by his lips crashing against mine.

I would have complained, I would have pulled away, but having him this close to me as I took in his intoxicating wine scent in my nose had me in a daze as I pulled closer kissing his back. He moved his hands around my waist to pull me closer as I wrapped my arms around his neck to pull his taller frame to meet my height. He gently bit on my bottom lip causing me to gasp as he took that opportunity to slip his tongue in my mouth making me moan involuntary at the action. I’ve never kissed anyone like this before, and I’d be damned if I wasn’t enjoying myself right now. The feeling of his mouth moving graciously against mine was doing things I haven’t thought about feeling in my seventeen years. He pulled me closer by the waist causing our belts to buckle together as I felt his semi-hardened member against my own.

This caused me to snap my eyes open in seconds as I gently tried to move away as or lips separated for a second, but he quickly pressed them together for the second course. It wasn’t that I didn’t like it. I just didn’t want this to go further than it needed to. I like him a lot and I know we’re mates and everything, but sex was something I wasn’t going to take lightly. I pushed him a little rougher to make my point and he immediately stepped away showing his wolf’s burning blue eyes before they melted back into his gorgeous green.

“Not yet.” I said trying to catch my breath. I inhaled deeply trying to control my breathing as he did the same.

“That’s what I needed to talk to you about.” He said making me look at him in question.

“What do you mean?”

“Jess, my wolf and I need to mark you soon. And I mean really soon.” He stressed the ‘really’ as I saw a quick flash of extended canines in his mouth.

“God, please don’t tell me your already sick because of me,” I stated putting my hands on his forehead and quickly drew back. “Oh god your burning. Why didn’t you tell me this earlier!”

“I haven’t gotten the opportunity to.” He smiled. “It’s alright I know you’re not ready for-”

“I’m not letting you slowly die because of me Tony.” I said as his eyes flashed blue for a second after I said that.

“Jess don’t!” he said making me flinch at the authority in his voice. “Don’t consent. My wolf will take that as a sign to let us mark you. To mark you, we need to… you know.” His breathing picked up making me move closer to touch his shoulder, but he quickly moved back. “Don’t.”

Ok. That hurt. I know it was for my safety in case his wolf came out, but having him move from my touch had me sad and Leah whimpering. Look at what he’s going through, because I’m too scared of what I have to do to complete the mating process. The only reason why I’m not affected that much was because I’m only half and It’s affecting him faster because he as an Alpha wolf in him.

No. I can’t do this to him.

“Tony look at me.” I said as he slowly lift his head to make my hazel eyes meet his changing blue-green ones.

“I’m Alright.” He said. “This is nothing I can handle it-”

“Mark me.” I said making his eyes flash with his wolf’s blues before grabbing the collar of my shirt to bring me closer.

“Don’t.” he said as I smiled when I brought my right hand to pull his face closer to mines as I whispered it into his ears once more.

“Mark me.”

One: I won’t be able to update as much thanks to mother and father dearest, because during summer I’m supposed to be studying or practicing for basketball season. But don’t worry earthlings I will update at least once a week.
