Rose's POV:

I had always dreamed of meeting my mate, but I never thought it would go like this.

"What do you mean you don't want me?" I asked, tears involuntary welling up in my eyes.

"Is that why you have been avoiding me since we met?! Why you have me staying in an extra room in the pack house?!" I accused.

"I only brought you here to keep my wolf happy. But I will not mark you nor will I mate with you." He stated.

Ila howled in despair. She had always dreamed of being marked by her mate. But now he was saying he never would?
My heart was shattering into a million little pieces.

"That is all, you may go." He told me, motioning to the door, signaling for me to leave. But I did not move. I wanted to know why. Why did my mate not want me? Why was he pushing me away?

"Why are you doing this? Why don't you love me?!" I asked, now full on crying.

He looked up at me and frowned.

"I don't have to answer to you. Now leave!" He commanded. But I held my ground.

"No! I want to know why! I want to know how you can so easily throw me away with out even knowing me!" I yelled at him.

I quickly realized that yelling at an alpha was not a very good idea. Colten swiftly grabbed my neck and shoved me against the wall behind me.

"You will not raise your voice at me little girl!" He snarled. His grip tightened on my throat blocking my wind pipe, and his eyes were turning black. That meant his wolf was coming out.

"I-I'm s-sorry Alpha." I choked out in hopes he would loosen his grip before I passed out. That's when he finally let go and I collapse onto the floor and took a deep breath in.

"I hope that teaches you NEVER to anger an alpha." Alpha Colten spats.

After I catch my breath I stand up to leave but before I go I had one last question that had been weighing on me.

"So will you reject me? Is that how this is going to go?" I asked, scared of what he would say. If he did reject me I couldn't stay here, but I couldn't go home either because my father would surly kill me.

"No."he said. "My wolf needs you around, but that dose not mean that we will be mates. You will stay in the pack house and stay away from me unless I call for you. Understand?" He exclaimed with once bright and welcoming eyes now cold and dark.

"Yes Alpha." I whimpered.
