Rose's POV:

"This is Alpha Colten of the Dark Night Pack. Please show him and his pack a warm welcome!" Alpha Mark announced.

Hearing his name made Ila purr.

After the party It seemed like I never saw my mate again. That is until I saw a strange man coming towards me along with my father. The man is tall but not as tall as my mate but still significantly larger than me, but that wasn't really saying much.

"Come my daughter! There is someone who wants to talk to you!" My father calls out all too sweetly.
As they come closer to me my father grabs my wrist a little too tight. I can tell it's going to leave a bruise to go along with all the others he has already given me.

"Miss Rosetta Clark?" The strange man asked.

"Rose, please." I answered extending my hand for him to shake. The man looks down at my hand then brings his eyes back up to meet mine again. I lower my hand back to my side feeling awkward from the interaction.

"I am Alpha Colten's Beta, Jake. Alpha is waiting for you in the car." He said completely emotionless.

"MATE! Mate wants to see us!!" Ila yelled.

"We need to keep it cool. We don't want him thinking we are too clingy." I told her.

"But we are." Ila snickers.

After I cut the conversation with Ila I turned back to Beta Jake.

" I see. Well, we shouldn't keep the Alpha waiting." I exclaimed trying to to show how excited I was to see my mate again.

Beta Jake turned his back to me so that I would follow him. As I was about to begin following him to the car my father grabbed my upper arm and pulled me back to him. I scrunched my eye brows In confusion at his actions.

"The only reason I'm letting you go is because I know what kind of man the alpha is. He and his pack are the most feared pack in the country. If you have angered him and he dose not get rid of you, I surely will." My father whispered in my ear so that beta Jake wouldn't hear it.

Beta Jake and already made his way a few feet in front of me due to me short talk with my dad and his long legs.

I was a little afraid of what my father said. What if my mate and his pack were just like my father and my own pack?!

"Mate would never hurt us! And mate would never put us in a dangerous situation. We will be pack Luna! We will finally be loved like we should." Ila reassured me.

"I hope so!" I told her, approaching the car where my mate supposedly was waiting for me.

Beta Jake walked up to a very sleek black car (I'm sorry I don't know cars)on the side of the road on the edge of the pack territory. When we got up to it he grabbed the back door and opened it motioning me to get in. I took a deep breath taking in the strong sent of my mate before sliding into the back of the car.
