Author's POV: 

Your eyes widened as you stared in front of you shocked. But your eyes closed automatically as you felt him suck onto your lower lip. You felt him pull away a few seconds later as you gulped staring at him. 
"Why did you..." You mumbled as he said, "It's not been long since we've met but you feel so special to me. My heart warms up every time I think of you. What can I do?" 
You shyly looked down as he kept staring at you. 
There was silence in the room for a few minutes until you broke it by saying, "S-sleep.."
"Don't try to run away again.  You kissed me back and said that you also felt the same." He said as you frowned a little saying, "Are you blackmailing me?"
"Yes." He said as you huffed, looking away. 

"Goodnight." He said and caressed your cheeks as you stared at him, looking away. He was nervous right now, but he was trying to play it cool. You just snuggled closer to him and closed your eyes saying, "Goodnight.." 

--Next day

"Good morning, wifey~" Taehyung spoke and ruffled your hair as you frowned at him before sitting down. You just glanced at him a few times before gulping. 
"Woah.. today's breakfast looks nice." You said as he smiled saying, "Of course, they're all your favourites." 
"What are you trying to pull?" You asked as he frowned saying, "Pull what? I'm just trying to make you happy." You giggled a little before saying, "Fine, alright!" 

"Here, have this." You said, putting a piece of pancake on his plate as he smiled saying, "Thank you.." 
You both started eating as you glanced at him a few times but pretended to look at something else when he noticed. 

---Time skip 

"Help me tie this." He said as you said, "I do that every day." 
"Today's one is special!" He said as you asked, "How- Wait... no! Why are you so..." 
"Guess my wife's not such a dumbhead after all." He said as you scoffed.
"Do I look like some idiot female lead of a movie? I notice stuff and understand them too, okay?" 

He smiled and squished your cheeks saying, "Ahh. you're so adorable!"
"Stop!!" You complained as he shook his head before pecking your lips making you flustered. You stared at him for a while before pulling his tie making him choke as you walked away from the place leaving a complaining Taehyung. 

"Should I bring anything?" Taehyung asked, standing in front of the front door as you said, "Ice cream."
"Except that." He spoke making you sigh. You sulked a little before saying, "Then...chocolate." 
"For free?" He asked, frowning as you replied, "Then, should I pay?" 
"Yes. You should pay." He said as you frowned before sighing. 
"How much?" "Just... a tight hug, 5 kisses... maybe some more- can't think of anything else. These for now." He said as you looked at him in disbelief. He walked closer to you and said, "Pay first, then service." 

You looked away, pretending to be all irritated but he knew well you were not. He could see that obvious grin on your face that you tried to hide. You jumped towards him, putting your arms around him and pecked his lips making him giggle. 
"4 left." He said. You pecked his lips again, and again, and again and for the last time. You both broke into giggles as he said, "Okay, you'll get your service on time, wifey~" 
"You better. Or else, I'll bury you on the floor." You said as he laughed saying, "Of course!" 

"See you, go now!!" You said, waving at him as he said, "Bye! Best of luck with your job interview results today! Also, stay with mom. Don't roam in the house alone. You're too clumsy." 
"You should like I'm a 5-year-old. HELLO. I'm not! Go now!" You said, pushing him outside as he blew a flying kiss towards you before rushing into the elevator. 
"That's too sudden. We weren't even hugging 2 days ago and now he's being so clingy. Help!!" You giggled and ran inside your room, burying your face in the pillow. 

---Time skip 

You ran towards the front door, hearing the doorbell ring. You heard the door opening and saw Taehyung coming in with a huge bag in his hands. 
"Woah! So many chocolates?" You asked as he nodded saying, "That's the first thing you ask? I came back after 9 hours." 
"Well, chocolates over humans." You said. He sighed and handed you the bag saying, "I brought all your favourites." 
"Thank you! You're the best!!" You said as he smiled, sitting on the couch. He gestured for you to sit beside him and you did, still checking out the chocolates.

"Pay some attention to me too?" He asked as you kept the bag away, sighing. 
"How was your day?" You asked as he said, "You ask that every day." 

"As I should." You replied. 
"Good, I missed you." He said, caressing your hair as you replied, "Only today?" 
"Nope, I miss you every day as I stay away due to work. But I didn't dare to say that before. Not until you confess to me." He said as you made a 'tch' sound.
"Enough about me. What about your results?" He asked as you made a sulking face, looking down.

"I didn't get in.." You said, sadly. He looked at you worriedly before hugging you and said, "It's okay! You can apply for another one."
"Bold of you to assume the company would be such a fool to not hire me." You said and burst into a fit of laughter seeing him stare at you confused.
"I fooled you!! I got in, HAHA!" You said as he sighed saying, "You'll never repent for your sins, will you?" 
"Never!" You stuck out your tongue at him, about to move away but he pulled you closer saying, "I'm tired. Hug me." 

"Then go rest? Hugging me doesn't help." You said as he said, "It does. I feel happy." 
"So cheesy." You spoke as he giggled, pecking your forehead.
"Stop doing that! It's so weird." You said as he frowned asking, "How is it weird?"
"We weren't like this even a day ago." You said as he replied, "How? You kissed me twice. It wasn't even a peck, a real kiss. You kissed my forehead and hugged me too before. I did those too." He said as you sighed saying, "But it's different..."

"Keep quiet, just hug me." He said as you sighed. You hugged him back, resting your head on his chest saying, "I'll go for another interview 2 weeks later. They said it's the last round... if I pass, I'll get the job." You spoke in a low voice as he said, "Congratulations... you will get the job, trust me!" 

You smiled and nodded. You both spent the lovely moment in silence until a voice was heard, 

"They failed us... They're even lovelier than us." Mrs Kim spoke as you both flinched. You backed away from him, staring wide-eyed at the old couple admiring you both.
"Ah, sorry! Did we interrupt?" MR Kim asked as you looked at Taehyung who looked back at you. You both looked at the couple again as Mrs Kim said, "It's okay! We're modern parents, we understand. Who will be romantic if not couples?! That's your right, kids. Enjoy~~" 

They both left as you looked at Taehyung, traumatized. He chuckled and said, "They're unbelievable." 
"You're just like them." You said, chuckling. 

"Well... if you say so!" He said. 

---At night 

"Come here." Taehyung spoke, gesturing for you to sit beside him on the bed as you followed his instructions saying, "Yes?" 
"Tonight.." "It's gonna storm. I'm gonna stay here so don't talk."
You finished speaking as he looked at you confused.
"You don't check the rain forecasts." He spoke. 

"I did, today." You said. He just looked at you before smiling a little.
"Well, did your therapist say something about how to control the anxiousness?" You asked as he said, "She did. She asked me to focus on my breathing. Hear something or see something which distracts me from the sounds." 
"Then... what distracts you?" You asked as he said, "You." 

"I'm serious!!" You said as he said, "You distracted me that day. At that moment, I was distracted. I don't know what else distracts me." 
"Gosh.. that was such a reckless thing I had done." You said as he smiled saying, "I'm glad you did."
"Shut up, creep." You said as he thinned his lips before saying, "What do I do now?" 

"It's raining... let's just talk." You said as he nodded, looking down. You knew he was anxious. Every time, he heard the rain, he'd get ready to embrace the darkness. But he looked up as soon as he felt a hand on his.
"Why fear when Y/N is here? I'll protect you from those annoying thunderstorms whatsoever. Trust me, I'm louder than them, they obey me." You said, proudly. He chuckled before ruffling your hair and said, "Alright. I believe you!" 
"Don't be scared! I'm here." You said, smiling and said, "Hmm... maybe the storm won't come tonight. I did say some scary stuff." 

He chuckled and said, "I bet they're also scared of you." 
"As they should! I'm protecting my husband after all." You said. He smiled hearing you call him 'my husband' with such sincerity. You both started talking and almost half an hour passed by. Suddenly, you realized the outside became quiet. 

"Let me check." You said as he nodded. You checked in the balcony and came back saying, "Well... there's no rain anymore. Maybe it won't storm. If it does, I'll beat their a*ses up." He chuckled and said, "Let's sleep then. Don't stay awake like that for me."
"I'm not staying awake for you! I'm staying awake for me, I'm not sleepy." You said and sat down beside him. 

He lay down and opened his arms for you as you smiled shyly, looking away.
"Come here." He said trying to sound a little stern but it came out as a half giggle. You smiled and lay down beside him, hugging him. He kissed your forehead saying, "Goodnight, love."
"Goodnight.." You said and closed your eyes. He smiled, looking at you. 

"Thank you..." He spoke in a soft voice. You just hummed in a half-sleepy voice and said, "Depend on me... until you can... depend on yourself. I'll be... there for you..."
