Author's POV: 

"Oh my- You're awake?" You asked, looking away awkwardly as Taehyung got up nodding. 
"Well, I saw this prank on Tiktok, 'Sleeping on my wife's shoulder to see her reaction' and I tried it out. Didn't expect to get complimented." He said, with a mischievous smile as you gulped saying, "Well, what would you even expect? Weirdo. I knew you were awake! I was also pranking you back. 'Reacting to my husband sleeping on my shoulder' That's what I did."

He giggled at your silly lies and patted your head saying, "Dumbhead."

--Time skip 

"Are we here yet?" You asked Taehyung who said, "Close, I think? We're literally back in Korea. We'll be back home too, have patience." 
You sighed and played with your fingers as Taehyung noticed you, looking away with a small smile. Suddenly, he got a call and he picked it up. 

He was talking in Chinese as you realized it probably was a Chinese collaborator or something. You heard him speak fluently without any hesitations as a soft smile appeared on your lips. His veiny hands moved his hair back as he continued talking. You rested your chin on your palms looking at him. Soon, he hung up and spoke, "Well, I think they got the news that I'm back. I'm starting to get meeting schedules no-" 

He stopped speaking and looked at you who was staring at him with admiring eyes. Frowning, he asked, "Are you alright? Why are you staring at me like that?" 
"Huh? Nothing.. you just sounded pretty cool." You said and looked away as he chuckled saying, "Are you falling for me~~ I see you staring at me too often these days." You looked at him in disbelief saying, "Dream about it!" 
He chuckled and ruffled your hair messing them up, and make you sigh. You looked at him with blank eyes and rolled your eyes mumbling, "Annoying." 

--After reaching home

"Ahh! Home sweet home! Though I'm still not used to this house that much.." You mumbled and lay on the couch as Taehyung kept the luggage inside. He smiled and said, "Freshen up and rest. We're going to your house. Mr Jeon got discharged." 
"I know! Mom called me this morning. It's your first time going to our house after our wedding, right? Wear something fancy! Trust me, the invitation is not as simple as it sounds!" You said as he nodded.

"Should I ask the cook to cook something?" He asked as you said, "Of course! I'm hungry!" 
He smiled and asked, "What do you want to eat?" 
"Hmm, I want to have... pasta!" You said. He sighed and said, "You surely love pasta.."
"I do!" You said and giggled as he looked down with a smile, walking toward the kitchen. 

--During lunch 

"Mmm! It tastes so good!" You said and continued eating the pasta while Taehyung just looked at you. He forwarded a glass of water to you who thanked him while eating. 
"I have to make a few calls for work. So, don't come to my room for an hour. Once I'm done, we can go together." He said as you nodded saying, "Sure but won't you eat?" 
"I'm not really hungry. I ate on the plane." He said as you sighed saying, "I know that too! But it's been over 4 hours since we've been home. Just have a little. Here!" 

You forwarded a spoon of pasta near his mouth with a wide smile as he looked at you a little flustered. Hesitantly, he ate the pasta as you said, "Isn't it yummy?" 

He nodded while chewing and said, "I want some more." 
You smiled and said, "There!" You fed him another spoon as he shyly smiled while chewing. 
"Is it hot? Your cheeks are red.. are you blushing?" You asked him who choked on his food saying, "Of course not! Are you dreaming? I'm going to make calls. Don't bother me, bye!" 

He went inside his room as you frowned mumbling, "I only teased him a little, why is he so dumb? He's dumb himself and calls me dumbhead." 

---Time skip 

"Why am I always the one waiting for you?!" You asked from outside as you heard a hum from Taehyung's room. Sighing, you looked at the maids who were working and said, "Once you're done, you all can leave. We won't be home so you should rest! It's okay to slack off one day." They all chuckled and thanked you, leaving. 

You looked behind to see Taehyung coming out of his room while saying, "Too nice, aren't we?" 
"They need a break too!" You said. He fixed his watch and looked at you just to freeze on his spot. Seeing you in a black dress, with a simple hairstyle and earrings, he could feel his heart skip beats. You looked so godly in that simple outfit to him. 

On the other hand, you were staring at him, flustered by his stare at you. He was already looking so handsome and staring at you like that, he made your heart flutter for sure.

"Do I look weird?" You asked as he shook his head, fazed. You frowned and asked, "Then... w-why are you staring at me like that?" 
"Ah.. you- I mean, I'm not! Let's go." He said, walking away as you frowned but chuckled, following him. 

---Time skip

"We're here." He said as you nodded. You were about to get out when he stopped you saying, "Wait a minute." You frowned as he took out a box from a drawer in the car. It was a velvet box in royal blue. He opened it making you gasp. There was a beautiful diamond necklace shining so beautifully as you asked, "Woah.. is this real diamond?" 
He nodded and said, "We're going to your parent's house... but it doesn't look good if you don't wear some accessories. After all, it harms my reputation, you're my wife after all."
You gasped and said, "Is that why you're-? Woah..." You asked, in pure confusion as he nodded saying, "Wear it for now." 

"Weirdo. Help me wear this then. I'll definitely protect your reputation!" You said as he smiled saying, "Turn around." 
You did as per his order and waited as you felt him putting the necklace around your neck. Your breath hitched as you felt his hand brush with your bare shoulders. 

He softly helped you put the necklace on and said, "There. It looks good on you."
"T-Thanks.." You mumbled. He gestured for you to wait there and got out, opening the door for you as you said, "Are you trying to pretend to be a gentleman in front of my parents, huh?" 
"Whatever you think. I'm doing it as per my wish so come out now, my lady~" He said as you spoke, "Hypocrite." 
"That's the only chance I have to do these." He mumbled, seeing you walk away as he followed you with a smile. 

--At your house

"Oh my! Welcome, kids!" Your mom said as you looked behind to see Mr and Mrs Kim sitting there.
"You both are everywhere but your own house," Taehyung spoke as they chuckled together. You went inside and greeted them. You also saw Mina and Jungkook.

"Oh, they also invited Jin. He visited Mr Jeon once while you both were away. It'll be a good get-together I think!" Mr Kim said as Taehyung nodded. You were chatting with Mina when she said, "Wait, Y/N! I've never seen that necklace. Is that diamond?" 

"Noona?!" Jungkook asked, in pure confusion as you sighed, nodding. 
"Did our brother-in-law give it to you??" Jungkook asked as Mina gasped along with him.
"Chill, guys!" You said. Mr and Mrs Kim looked at each other and chuckled. Taehyungg just smiled and said, "Well, I've brought gifts for you all as well. They're on their way." 
"No way! You're my favourite now!" Jungkook said hugging Taehyung who chuckled. You sighed at their silliness as Mina spoke, "Great, Y/N. You got yourself such a gentleman!!" 

"His acts worked." You mumbled, eyeing him who just smiled at you.

--Time skip 

"Ah, I'm usually so busy with work. I wonder how our CEO is so free to spend so much time with his wife!" Jin said as Mina replied, "I wonder that too. Y/N forgot about working at all. She doesn't go to any job interviews!" 
"Newlywed couples are the worst," Jungkook spoke. The elders all looked at each other and laughed along as you and Taehyung just sighed.

It was dinner time, 9 pm. Everyone was having dinner, but Jin, Mina, and Jungkook seemed more interested in roasting you and Taehyung than eating while the elders enjoyed the drama. 
It hadn't been much longer since you were teaming up with Mina and Jungkook against that rude CEO you met but now, the tables turned. 

Taehyung found your mom's cooking very yummy and was eating profoundly. You eyed him for a while before looking at the only dish he hadn't touched, dumplings. 
"Why is it always dumplings that he avoids?" You asked yourself, wondering why it was the only dish he didn't eat. You sighed and took a dumpling placing it on his plate. He looked up at you with a small smile. You could definitely tell that he was expecting this. 
'He isn't that dumb to actually leave that dish for some attention, is he?' You thought, looking at him as he said, "Oh.. why did you give it to me again? I wasn't expecting it at all!" 

"He's weird.. definitely weird." You said to yourself and sighed. 
"Suit yourself!" You said with an awkward smile. You both were looking at each other as he smiled looking down not knowing how the elders and youngsters were staring at you both.

"Do you feel the same chemistry as I do?"
"I don't know, I didn't study chemistry in high school much." 
"Shut up! I'm talking about the environment."
"Kids, I don't know what you all think, but it's approval from me."
