Hello!

"Come in. " I gulped at his voice and slowly opened the translucent glass door of his extremely expensive office.

Currently, I'm in front of Mr. Manik Malhotra's cabin in his larger than life office.

I slowly made my way inside, after straightening my hair and clothes and saw him sitting at least 10 feet away from the door, on his chair.

His table looked lavish and everything was properly arranged. The room was large to be honest and looked exactly sophisticated with walls painted grey and black. The furniture looked lavish and he looked yummy, um,  I mean he looked really hot sitting in his white shirt, sleeves folded three fourth with those black geeky specs and properly gelled hair.

He was looking at something in his laptop keenly.

"Welcome Miss. Murthy. " He said before looking at me.

"To my Kingdom. " I gulped at that evil smirk and eyes. His tone was dangerous and I was feeling really uneasy.

"Come closer. " He demanded leaning on his chair.

I walked towards his desk and stood in front of the table.

"I said closer. " He was calm and intimidating.

Gulping, I moved towards his chair and stood in some distance from him.

"Don't you get it? I said CLOSER. " He yelled causing me to shiver.

I immediately stood really close to him and he looked satisfied.

"It's takes you time to understand stuff but that's not acceptable in this office. " He said looking back at his laptop.

"Sorry Sir. I'll try to be more efficient from next time. " I apologized without even being at fault.

Welcome to hell Nandini Murthy. Great job!

"Try? Miss. Murthy, try word has no place in this office, you will have to be extremely efficient and that's it. You don't have any other option. " He made it very clear.

"You got it? " He asked and I gave him a nod in response.

"Are you mute? " His question made me frown.

"No Sir, of course not. " I told him and he narrowed his eyes.

"Then answer me, did you got it or not? " He was very rude.

"Yes Sir, I got it. " I told him and he smirked.

"Now, let me tell you about your job. " He said playing with the paperweight on his desk.

"Yes Sir. " I said and he cringed.

"Don't speak unnecessarily. " What the!

I looked down and he clicked his tongue.

"You are no fun Miss. Murthy. " I wanted to punch him right now but of course I couldn't. Bloody Rich Bastard!

"Anyways, you'll work as an assistant, of my assistant. " He told me proudly.

Assistant of his assistant, what sort of job is this now?

"Now, your Boss will explain you your work. " He said before pressing a button and looking at his phone.

A knock on the door was heard after about three to five seconds making me wonder how fast the person was.

"Come in Amyra. " He answered and the door opened revealing a really pretty girl in complete professional attire. I was literally in awe with how beautiful she looked. So sophisticated!

"Here's your assistant Amyra,  over to you now. " He said without even sparing any of us his glance and she looked at me.

I looked at her and she gave me a warm smile.

"Welcome Nandini, come with me. " She asked before leaving and I followed silently.

"Miss. Murthy. " I stopped just before stepping out of the room.

Turning back, I saw him finally looking at me.

"All the best. " I was beyond shocked when he wished me with a straight face until, a smirk came on his lips giving me a straight message of why I need the luck.

His behavior is literally very scary. Is he like this with everyone or am I special? I really hope it's the former because I can never be prepared if it's the latter.

I walked away without saying a word and exhaled deeply after coming out of the cabin.

This is all so strange! I don't know what's happening! Why was he behaving this way and have I done something wrong by joining this office? But anyways I didn't had any option. God! I'm so stressed!

"Hi Nandini, this is Amyra Arjun Malik, Manik Sir's personal assistant. " She introduced herself again, forwarding her hand which I took.

"I know ma'am, and I'll be working as your assistant. " I said and she smiled.

" Ma'am sounds really old, call me Amyra and now let me take you to your cabin. " She said and I gave her a nod.

She led the way to a cabinet and I couldn't help but adore the cozy little place which was just perfect for working atmosphere.

"This is where you'll sit. " She said pointing at the desk which was really neatly set.

"And it's the phone that'll ring only when either I or Manik Sir want to tell you something." She said pointing at the cordless on my desk beside the laptop.

"Nandini, let me tell you something in advance, it's a very tough job. Working under The Manik Malhotra is anything but easy and you must know this. He wants perfection in everything and there's only one way in the whole industry and that's his way. If it's not according to him, it doesn't takes him even a minute in ruining it.

There are gonna be extra working hours, you may be even called on weekends so you can imagine the work load. But at the end of the month, you'll be the happiest with the salary. And it'll all seem worth it.

So I just hope you are ready?" She asked and I exhaled deeply before nodding.

"Yes. " I told her and she smiled.

"Now let me tell you about your work and just remember I'm always there to help. " She said smiling and I smiled back.

She began explaining me about my job, how I'll join all the meetings with her and the main Boss, how I'll have to make notes and work on all the projects with her. She also told me what are my duties if she has taken an off. She was extremely polite and warm all this while which made things easier and comforting.

She then introduced me to the different sectors and departments of the office and all the head of the departments.

"You can go back to your cabin and start reading this file now Nandini, I'll see you in lunch. " She said before handing me a file.

I nodded before she left and I headed to my cabin. Setting my stuff neatly took some time and after that, I began reading the file giving it my full attention.

I jolted as the phone rang suddenly and my breathing became heavy.

Exhaling, I received the call.

"Miss. Murthy in my office, now." It was my Boss's Boss, aka Mr. Manik Malhotra.

Before I could say something he disconnected the call and I exhaled deeply before getting up and heading to his cabin.

Our cabins were really close and after I had seen how Amyra reached his cabin in some seconds, I hurried to reach too.

I knocked twice before his reply came and with a strong head, I opened the door of his cabin.

First day in office has brought some stress.

Anyways, Nandini is a fighter,  she'll manage.
