Manik: Don't even think of it.

Nandini: What?

Manik: I very well know what's going on in your mind, so don't even think of it.

Nandini: (acting innocent) I am not thinking anything.

Manik: (raising his eyebrow) Is it? (she nodded) Ok then lets have our breakfast.

Nandini: NO!!! Umm... Actually I... Umm... Ineedtouserestroom... Ya need to use to rest room.

Cabir: But you just did.

Nandini: Ya but I can't control nature's call right?

Manik: Leave it Nandini... I know you are lying.

Nandini: Arey I need to go its urgent.

Manik winked at others.

Manik: Navya did you forgot Aloo paratha I told you to bring for Nandini?

Navya: No Manik I was just removing that from the bag but now Nandini needs to use the rest room it will get cold... Do one thing drop her there and we will finish it... She can eat fruits after she is done.

Nandini: Aloo paratha? For me?

Cabir: Yes you like it so Manik told Navya to bring it for you.

Nandini: I want to eat it... Give fast.

Navya: Arey but just now you said you have an emergency.

Nandini: Now I am fine and plus I am hungry also... Give fast.

Manik: Are you sure? (she nodded) Navya give her.

Navya handed her fruits. She looked at others with a confused face.

Manik: There's no Aloo Paratha for you.

Nandini: You all lied to me? (they nodded) That's cheating... You guys are liar.

Manik pulled her ear.

Manik: Ohhh we are liars ha and what about you?

Nandini: Ouch its hurting... Oww..

Manik: Now be a good girl and finish everything.

He left her ear.

Nandini: But I don't like it.

Manik: You are not given any option my dear. You have to eat it whether you like it or not.

Nandini: No No No.

Manik: Baby you have just recovered your body can't take oily food... Please eat it.

He brought a slice of apple in front of her mouth but she turned her face.

Nandini: No.

Manik: (sternly) Nandini no more tantrums. 

Nandini: But I want something tasty, something delicious (licking her lips) and this (making a bad face) its no where near to tasty.

Manik: You have to eat this for at least 1 month my dear.

Her eyes got widened when she heard the one month thing.

Nandini: You are kidding right? One month? Only healthy things?

Manik: No I am serious... Your body is weak. It requires nutrition. So you have to follow diet strictly.

Nandini: Before that only I will run away.

Manik: Is it? (she nodded) Can you even walk on your own? If you want to run for that you need strength which you will get from all this.

Nandini: But-

Manik: Enough. I dont want anymore argument on this topic and eat before I get angry.

Nandini: (making crying face) Can't you talk nicely with me? You only shout at me always. 

She started fake crying but Manik knew her drama so he didn't fell for it but Cabir thought it was real and can't see Nandini crying. He pushed Manik and hugged her caressing her hairs.

Cabir: Don't cry Nandu not only will force you to eat this ok but stop crying. Manik what are you doing man? She just woke up yesterday and you are shouting at her. Now see she is crying.

Manik: Cabir its her drama dont fall for it. She is not crying. There's not even a single drop of tear in her eyes. (to Nandini) And you madam stop this... Your dramas are not going to work on me. For me your health is top priority and I will never compromise with it. Now you will not speak even a word or else I will go from here, do you get that?

She just nodded and then without any tantrums she ate everything but of course after every bite she made a bad face.

After half an hour she was done but still angry with Manik.

Manik: Why are you glaring at me? (but she just kept on glaring) Now why are you not replying? (she royally ignored him).

Navya: Seems like someone is angry?

Manik: What did I do?

Nandini: Hawww!!!! You forget just few minutes back you shouted at me and now you are asking what did I do.

Manik: When did I shout? I just asked you to eat.

Nandini: No you shouted.

Manik: No I didn't.

Nandini: You did.

Manik: Ok baba I am sorry from next time I will not shout on you, happy?

Nandini: Hmm better.

And they continued their talks for some more time as later on nurse came to take Nandini for test.

Outside the test room:

Manik: Nandini don't be scared ok dear I will be right here waiting for you. Everything will be fine. It will take only 15 min.

Nandini: Hmm. 

They then took Nandini with them while Manik and Cavya waited outside the room.

After half an hour all the tests were done. As soon as Nandini came outside she hugged Manik. He was shocked that all of a sudden she just ran to him and was not ready to leave him so he just let her in that position. Soon the doctor also came out.

Manik: Doctor is everything alright?

Dr: That we will get to know only after the reports are out till then let her rest. 

Cabir: How long will it take for reports?

Dr: Around 3 to 4 hours.

And the doctor went from there but Nandini who was still in the same position was not ready to leave him.

Manik: Baby lets go inside our room. (she didn't move) Do you want me to carry you?

She nodded so he carry her in his arms and went in her room. He laid her on the bed but she had a tight grip of his shirt so he sat beside her.

Manik: (lovingly) What happened baby? Do anyone hurt you?

She shook her head.

Cabir: Then what happened? Why are you so silent?

Nandini: They put me inside that big machine... It was so noisy I got scared. I don't want to go inside that machine again.

Manik: Its ok baby its over now... You are never going inside that thing again baby. Do you want to sleep?

She nodded with a pout.

Nandini: You sleep beside me.

He agreed and laid beside her and caressed her hairs so that she can sleep.

Manik: (whispering) If you guys want you can go home I will manage here.

Cabir: Its alright we are here.

When Manik noticed that Nandini had slept he slowly detached himself.

Manik: Bro I think you should go to office. Its been long we both actively participated in office work. I am there with Nandini and even Navya will be here.

 Cabir: Are you sure? (he nodded) Ok then I will get going but if there's any emergency do contact me.

He went from there and both Manik and Navya settled on the sofa.

Manik: So how's Cabir now?

Navya: Now that Nandini is awake I am getting my old Cabir back.

Manik: Glad to hear.

Navya: What about you? You must be happy right?

Manik: Happy? That's a very small word. I am feeling something which is cannot be described. Its like I got back my reason to live, my happiness, my life everything is back.

Navya: I am happy for you but I have a complaint.

Manik: Complaint? What is it?

Navya: You consider me as your sister right? (he nodded) So please whenever you are alone don't close the doors for me. Let me in. I will always stand by your side and support you. In this last 3 months when Nandini was not with us it was hard for everyone after all she is our sister or even more than that she is like our baby maybe that's the reason we guys never even think about our baby but when you and Cabir broke down you both closed the doors for everyone you kept everything inside you which was breaking us. I want you to never push us away from you no matter what.

She had a few tear drop in her eyes. Manik smiled at her care. He wiped her tears and side hugged her.

Manik: I am so lucky to have you as my sister. I promise I will never push you away from me.

Navya: If you break your promise than I will break you.

He chuckled and pecked her forehead. They continued their talks.

After 3 hours Nandini woke up. It was lunch time so Dhruv and Alia came with their lunch. At the same time doctor entered their room.

Doctor: Mr. Malhotra the reports are out.

Manik: Is everything ok?

Doctor: Reports are normal nothing to worry.

Everyone sighed in relief. Manik and the doctor continued talking regarding her health the precautions which they are required to take. While Navya and Alia were trying to feed Nandini but her never ending tantrums were making it impossible for them to succeed.

Dhruv: Doctor can we take her home today?

Dr: I would have allowed you but seeing this young girl not following proper diet I think she needs to stay here for at least a month.

Nandini: WHAT!!! NOOO!!!! I will not stay here I want to go home.

Dr: For that you need to eat properly or else I am not signing the discharge papers.

She immediately took a bite from Navya's hand but within a second regretted but still gulped it down.

Nandini: Now I can go right?

Dr: I will think about it first finish everything.

She was shocked to even say anything. She wanted to go home but didn't want to eat it.
