When Remy woke up, it was still dark outside, and everything was wrong.

To start, he was warm, too warm, and there was a breathing, moving body hugging him from behind, hot breath on the back of his neck and a soft brush of lips on his overheated skin.

Then there was his lower back, which ached to the point of him whimpering in pain when he moved. It was a horrible feeling, a horrible pain that reminded him of something that he had felt before, a long time ago.

The body behind him shifted, and it clicked in Remy's head.

He sat up quickly, pushing the arm that was around him away as he rolled out of bed. In his panic, he crashed to the floor and squeaked at the feeling of his bare skin on the cold hard wood of his bedroom.

Remy froze, listening for the person in the bed, who stirred briefly before finding another comfortable position and quieting. His stomach lurched again, and Remy scrambled towards the direction of his bathroom.

While he couldn't see much, Remy recognized the smell of his room and the feeling of his sheets the second he awoke.

When he was in his bathroom, he slammed the door behind him and locked it before hurrying over to the toilet and dropping to his knees. His lower back ache at this action, and the feeling had him leaning over the toilet and emptying his stomach contents into the toilet bowl.

Before he could wipe his mouth clean, there was a knock at the bathroom door. "Remy?" The boy in question closed his eyes tightly as his body shook and his arms wrapped around his knees, hugging them to his chest. "Baby?"

And the whole night came back to him. Finding Cecil in his kitchen with his father, looking oddly irrestiable in his sweatpants and glasses with his tired eyes and mussed hair.

And then them intertwined in Remy's bed, with Cecil moving within him and making the most wonderful face. The memory, while pleasing, made Remy even more aware of the ache in his lower back, and has him inhaling deep breaths over the toilet again.

"Baby, are you alright? Let me in. Please Remy," Cecil said, and Remy rose to his feet, his knees shaking, and flushed the toilet. "Rem?"

"One minute," Remy said, gripping the edge of the sink to keep himself upright. With a shaking hand, he reached out and grabbed his toothbrush.

By the time Remy opened the door to Cecil, his mouth tasted like mint. "Hi," Remy said softly and Cecil blinked his tired eyes down at him. Remy didn't have it in him to be embarrassed that he was standing before Cecil completely naked while the other boy had enough sense to put on boxers when he got out of bed. He had also grabbed his shirt, which he held out towards Remy. "Oh". Remy looked up at him with wide eyes. "Can we take a shower?"

Cecil's mouth opened in a yawn, but he nodded his head, folding his shirt and dropping it down onto the toilet lid after closing it. Remy watched as Cecil turned on the shower, and then slowly pushed his boxers down his legs.

"Come on," Cecil said, holding his hand out to Remy, who took it and allowed his boyfriend to help him into the shower.

Cecil followed after him and immediately slid his arms around Remy's waist and dropped his head onto his shoulder. "Is this okay?"

"Yeah," Remy said, relaxing for the first time since he had woken up.

"Good," Cecil said, tilting his head to the side and pressing his lips into Remy's neck. "I'm so tired".

"Why did you get in the shower with me?" Remy asked, tilting his head back against Cecil's shoulder, allowing the hot water to wash over his bare body.

"I'd go anywhere with you," Cecil said in his sleepy voice and Remy hummed. "Are you alright? I heard you freak out and then throw up".

"Oh".

"Hey". Cecil gently squeezed Remy's waist. "You alright?"

"Yeah," Remy said softly, and then repeated himself louder. "Yeah".

"Are you trying to convince me or yourself?" Cecil asked, and Remy stayed silent as he thought about it, and then intimately decided not to answer. Cecil took it in stride. "How about physically? How's your lower back?" Cecil's hand trailed down Remy's back and gently pressed into the base of it.

"Sore," Remy said. "Very very sore".

"I'm sorry, darling," Cecil said, kissing Remy's neck again and leaving tingles in the wake of his lips. "As soon as you feel ready to be done with this shower where neither of us are actually cleaning ourselves-"

"I like the steam-"

"I'll give you a back massage," Cecil finished and Remy opened his mouth to decline, and then stopped.

While he typically didn't like the idea of someone's hands continuously rubbing his skin, this was Cecil, and his back really hurt. "Let's do that," Remy said, reaching forward and turning the shower off. "Walking hurts". Cecil stepped back and pulled the shower curtain open.

"I got you," Cecil said, carefully lifting Remy out of the tub and setting him on the bath mat. Immediately, Cecil stepped out behind him and began looking through the cupboards for a towel.

"They're in the bottom one," Remy told him, wrapping his arms around himself and shivering. A moment later Cecil was wiping him dry with a towel before picking his shirt up from where he had discarded it on closed toilet lid. Remy allowed Cecil to help him into the shirt and then looked down at himself. "It's a little big".

Cecil dried himself with the towel as he looked down at Remy. "You're adorable". Remy sighed and grabbed Cecil's boxers of the toilet, holding them out to him.

Cecil grinned and swiftly pulled them up his legs before stepping closer to Remy and guiding his arms around his neck. "What are you going?" Remy asked, and Cecil gently nudged his legs apart. Without a word, Cecil dropped his hands to the inside of Remy's things and lifted him up against him, throwing his legs over his hips before his hands moved to his ass, holding him up.

"Back to bed we go".

"I can walk," Remy groaned, but he kept his legs around Cecil's waist and his arms around his neck.

"You're my boyfriend, and if it hurts to walk, you don't walk," Cecil said, Turning his head and pressing a kiss to Remy's temple.

I want to keep him, Remy realized, but he remained silent as Cecil fell into bed with Remy on top of him, and then rolled them over. "On your back, princess. I'm going to massage your pain away".

Remy complied, shifting around until he had enough room to roll onto his stomach. "We really don't have to do this. I know that you're tired".

"And you're in pain," Cecil pointed out. "And it's my fault".

"It's not your fault," Remy argued, and then groaned when Cecil pushed up the back of the shirt that Remy was wearing, exposing his bare backside. A second later, Cecil was gently pushing Remy's thighs apart and sliding between them. As Cecil's semi-erection pressed against Remy's ass, the boy tensed.

"Relax babe," Cecil said, and Remy closed his eyes and breathed as he listened to the sound of a bottle of lotion opening and closing a second later.

"I don't want to have sex again," Remy blurted out quickly and Cecil's hands came to rest on his back, and then paused.

"Honey, I'm not trying to have sex with you. Relax. I'm just going to give you a massage".

"You have an erection," Remy pointed out and Cecil's fingers began to massage his back.

"I also have self-control. Just because I have a boner doesn't mean I need to put it in you. You're hot, Remy. I have a boner most of the time that I'm around you and we've only had sex once".

Remy's entire body relaxed at the words. "I trust you".

"Thanks," Cecil said, and Remy could almost hear the smile in his voice. It was silent for a couple of minutes as Cecil's hands carefully rubbed his lower back. "You laughed last night".

Remy recalled Cecil's words the night before, about following your heart, and it made him sigh in content. "I did".

"Why?" Cecil asked, massaging a particularly tense spot that had Remy groaning. "Sorry hun".

"It's alright," Remy said, because the pain was slowly leaving, replacing itself with a pleasant tingling feeling. "You make me want to laugh sometimes, Cecil Clarke". Cecil made a noise of content, and then let out a sound that Remy immediately identified as a yawn. "Lay down Clarke. My back feels much better already".

"I'm alright," Cecil said and Remy turned his head to the side to look at the clock.

"It's two in the morning," Remy said loudly and Cecil's body jerked in surprise. "Oh my god, Clarke, why are you up? You should have left me to have my little mental break down on my own. Jesus, get back to sleep".

Cecil moved out from beneath his legs and dropped down onto the mattress next to him. "You had a breakdown?" Remy chewed his lip. "Because we had sex?" Still, Remy answered with silence. "I thought you wanted to have sex. Did you not like it-"

"Shut up," Remy cut in and Cecil turned his head agaisnt the pillow to look over at him. "I did like it, and I like you, and you've done nothing wrong. I panicked because I woke up and I forget what happened and all I felt was pain and it just... reminded me of things I didn't want to remember".

"I'm sorry," Cecil said, and Remy narrowed his eyes at him.

"Don't be sorry. It's not your fault that I'm like this. Thanks for being so great and all". Remy's cheeks flushed, embarrassed to be giving a compliment. Cecil just smiled at him.

"I didn't even do anything, Rem".

"Shut up," Remy grumbled. "You know you did". Cecil hummed and then rolled in his side and threw his his arm around Remy's waist. Sighing, the smaller boy also turned on his side, and tucked his face under Cecil's chin so he didn't have to look at him as he spoke. "You were so careful with me last night that I wondered what I was so afraid of in the first place, and then when I freaked out this morning you checked to make sure that I was okay instead turning over and going back to sleep".

"What kind of person would I be if I just left you?" Cecil asked and Remy untucked his head from his chin to look up at him.

"A normal one," Remy said, and Cecil frowned before lifting his head to kiss his forehead.

"I'm sorry your life hasn't been as perfect as you deserve," Cecil said and Remy shrugged. "I'd like to make you happy".

"I'm certainly not going to stop you," Remy said and Cecil smiled before rolling onto his back, pulling Remy with him. Without pause, Remy dropped his head down onto Cecil's chest, enjoying the sound of his heart beat.

"Hey Remy?"

"Yeah?"

"Can I ask you something? You don't need to answer," Cecil said softly and Remy closed his eyes and gripped the sheets at either side of Cecil's hips.

"Is it about my siblings?" Remy asked, and Cecil shifted beneath him uncomfortably but didn't speak, answering his question with his silence. "It's alright". Remy ignored the hammering of his heart. "I should talk about them more often. I don't even remember the last time I said all of their names".

"How many of them are there?" Cecil asked after a pause and Remy nuzzled his face into the space between where Cecil's neck and shoulder met.

"Three".

"Really?" Cecil asked, brushing his hands up and down Remy's back, over the oversized shirt. "What are all of their names?"

Remy took a deep breath to prepare himself for the words he was going to say, but his voice still shook when he spoke. "Beckett, Donnivan, and Bonnie".

Cecil hummed. "Who was the oldest?"

Remy let out a soft whimper as he pressed his face harder into Cecil's chest. "Me," he said, though it came out as a sob and Cecil hugged him tightly.

"We don't have to talk about it, Rem," Cecil said softly and Remy shifted his body off of Cecil so he was instead curled up against his side.

"It's alright," Remy said softly. "I like talking about them. They were the best things to ever happen to me".

It was silent as Cecil's fingers trailed up and down Remy's back soothingly. "How old is Beckett?" Remy sighed in relief. It calmed him that Cecil still had yet to refer to any of his siblings in the past tense.

"Sixteen next month," Remy said, sighing as he raised a hand to Cecil's chest and began writing his name in cursive with his pinky. "He was the youngest. Bonnie was the second youngest, but her and Donnie and I were all close in age".

"Yeah?" Cecil asked, his voice very low as if not to startle him, and Remy nodded.

"Bonnie and Donnie were Irish twins, just as him and I were, but Bonnie and Beckett were only half siblings to Donnie and I, So was a different kind of bond. She'd be seventeen now. Donnie would be eighteen already. His birthday was nine months after mine since he was a bit premature as a baby," Remy explained. "He..." Remy closed his eyes as he felt then water. "He was my best friend. We did everything together".

The room was silent for a long time, long enough that Remy started when Cecil began to speak, having thought that the boy drifted off to sleep again. "What happened to them, Remy?"

All the walls came down, and before he could stop himself, Remy was sobbing against Cecil's side quietly as the older boy held him.

Remy cried until he fell asleep, and even then he could feel Cecil's soothing hand on his back and his loving words in his ear.

A/N I think Cecil is sweet.
