Chapters will be a little shorter. I was going to end it with the last chapter but I thought I'd be nice.🙂

A blue haze floated gently around you, but it seemed you couldn't move. A twinkling of stars appeared in front of your clear vision. What seemed like a fog, materialized to a person with long, bunny ears and fur instead of skin.

So she was a demon, but who was she? This girl walking silently towards you was remarkably beautiful. The red markings that outlined the edges of her sockets. Her pupils were wholly white.

Her vibe seemed very kind and soothing to be around. A very non-threatening aura for sure.

You went to use your voice but no sound escaped. She shook her head slowly.

She gestured to herself, "I'm Akemi. You cannot speak nor move because you are merely a ball of light." Her mannerism so polite and elegant. Like Kikyo but less of a snob.

You'd never thought you'd meet Akemi, questions flooded in. But questions you could not ask.

The rabbit revealed a mirror she seemed to know one question you wanted answered. "This is what you look like." She giggled.

Her laugh could make birds sing, she was just perfect in every way. Yet Sesshomaru loved you for you and not her? You thought he may have lowered his standards.

Akemi brang the small mirror closer and there was your reflection. A shimmering, hazy, blue ball of light.

Akemi explained, "I don't know if you remember but you died after Jin hit you with his power. Your soul is what has come into the afterlife, soon you'll have a physical frame which then you'll be a spirit like me. All that is left is your body down on earth that is just an empty corpse."

Right you were no longer alive...and Sesshomaru was left alone, again. Akemi sincerely smiled and opened her furry palms as a mist produced from them.

The mist shifted to Sesshomaru holding your corpse. Tears streaming down endlessly. "I'm sorry my actions have caused you such misery."

Her ears flattened to her scalp, "I fled like a coward while he put his life on the line for me. In the end I still managed to be killed...but you, you saved him instead. You would rather risk your own life than watch him waste his."

She wiped the vision of Sesshomaru holding you away. "Perhaps you have more love for him than I ever did..."

Where was she going with this? Akemi forced a very sad smile upon her lips, "perhaps you are more worthy of him than I ever was..."

She approached your glistening soul and held her palms flat as your soul hovered gently over her hands. What was she doing? "We share the same soul, you are the very reincarnation of me. So if I was to give you my soul maybe you could return to him. To the land of the living."

What?

"Of course I would cease to exist if I combined my essence with yours and you'd be entirely your own person again."

She wouldn't exsist at all? Not in the even afterlife?

"Shall we proceed?"

No! No! Stop he loves you too! I don't want you to do this at your own expense! You'll die all over again!

Like before, as if these voiceless thoughts came to her like spoken words. She closed her lids and a warm glow engulfed her and your blue ball.

"I'm selfish you know...that's why I paid the price for leaving him behind. I summoned Jin in the hopes to save my race. To not be alone. I don't like being alone. Sesshomaru cured the loneliness that had settled in me. I only got what was given to me for only taking from him."

She doesn't see it does she? She was everything he needed. She needs to stop this.

Akemi's soul left her own chest and merged with yours. More warmth greeted you. Then as if she were fog she begun to fade.

Her palms held one last thing, a still heart.

"Don't you want to see him?"
