"The exam was terrible my brain is fried!" Kagome complained. You patted her shoulder while walking.

"If it makes you feel any better I didn't do too good either." You said she sighed rubbing her temple to ease the oncoming headache.

Your gut churned, a wave of nausea washing over you. "I guess we talk to my parents now."

Kagome's eyes held sincerity, "they accepted the whole time travelling between era's ok. I'm sure this will be no different."

You looked at her, "Kagome they had an arranged marriage for me. You know my parents are snobs."

She hummed, "honestly wouldn't that be better then the situation your currently in?"

You shook your head, "I want to love the person I marry."

Kagome stopped, "so you love Sesshomaru?" You luaghed nervously. "No I don't...at least not yet."

Kagome began walking again groaning at the building headache. "Are you ok Kagome?" A hint of worry in your voice, she waved a hand at you, "oh I'm fine! Just a migraine I think."

Your lips tightened not sure whether to believe her, "ok...let's go to my parents house."

You arrived and slowly slid the door open your home was filled with the smell of a stew cooking. Your mum hovering over the stove, stirring the pot evenly.

The rice cooker plugged into a PowerPoint on the counter. You heard the soft clicks of the stove. The fire simmering under the pot.

That's when she turned and her stare landed in you. Hands immdiealty going to her cheeks, mouth in the shape of an 'O'.

"My dear daughter, honey come quick (Y/n) is home!"

She came fast walking over to you arms spread wide. Squishing your cheeks and peppering your face with kisses.

"Hi mum..."

"Ah Kagome!" She did the same thing to her.

Your father came stomping down the stairs. Wearing the usual serious expression. Fingers wrapped around the cane to help him walk.

"Dad..."

He lost his job due to his back becoming worse as he got older. The factory wanted younger, fitter workers so they fired him.

You trotted over to him enveloping your dad in a hug. He swung his arm around your neck, "hey sweetheart."

You hadn't seen him smile since the day he got fired. Your mum put it down to depression.

"Are you staying for tea honey?" Your mum asked. You smiled, "Sorry mum me and Kagome won't be back after we have our late lunch."

You mum pursed her lips, "why not? I have the perfect guy for you to meet!"

"About that..."

The words you had planned to say completely vanished. Kagome gripped your shoulder, you nodded stepping back.

Kagome spoke for you, "she's already been seeing someone."

"Who?"

You now started to speak, "a demon from the feudal era named Sesshomaru."

Your mum gasped but your dad merely stayed silent. "A demon?!"

"Yes mum, it happened really quickly he kinda kidnapped me and explained that we were destined to be. So now I'm trying to see if we are."

"So basically he's a kidnapper and stalker?!" She exclaimed.

"Well admittedly...sort've."

She fanned her face, "oh my stars!"

Kagome pitched in and explained about the mating bond that can happen between two demons. Or a demon and a human.

Each word from your friends mouth made your mum begin to pale.

"This cannot happen!"

"Mum I don't really have a choice."

"He can't travel through the well right?! Stay here!"

"Mum! I can't do that!"

"Why?? You don't love him!" She started to go red with anger. Your father yet still said nothing.

You couldn't answer her instead you nervously rubbed your neck. "Wait...you do?!"

"No! I just...I made a promise I intend to keep."

Then she exploded, "no I will not let my baby see a- see a...monster! I've picked out the perfect groom for you who you WILL marry!"

This is where things usually got heated but before you could open your mouth. Your father butted in.

"Tabitha!" He yelled.

She turned into him, her chubby, little body shaking with fury. "Enough."

"But Alex-"

"Enough." He repeated.

He looked at you and Kagome, "you two go to your lunch."

"Thanks dad."

Before going to lunch you grabbed some clothes and got changed at Kagome's house. She did the same.

After a 2min walk you entered the cafe you originally planned to dine at.

You ordered some chips and a coffee while Kagome ordered a soft drink and a burger.

The food and drinks came after 5mins of waiting. You both got stuck into it.

Kagome opened her mouth first, "your mum was lethal!"

You took a chip shoving it in your mouth and chewing, "I know."

"Though your dad stepped in surprisingly."

"Yeah usually my old man's quiet, I won't be going back for awhile." You downed another couple of chips. You took a sip of your coffee and halfway though swallowing. Kagome asked.

"So do you really love him?"

Startled you choked and ended up spitting the coffee from your windpipe.

"What? *cough* I said no before!"

She played with the straw, "so you have no interest in the cold man?"

You rubbed your throat, "he's really not that bad but to answer your question. I'd be lying if I said there was no feelings there at all."

"So that's a yes?"

You sighed, "I don't know Kagome, I don't know.."

You rest you chin on you palm, deciding to stir the conversation you asked. "How are you and Inuyasha?"

Kagome's brow arched downwards, "I'm not even on his mind, if he had a mate he'd want it to be Kikyo."

"What's the deal with Kikyo anyway?"

Kagome sighed too, "I'm her reincarnation, when me and Inuyasha first met he thought I was her. Ever since she was resurrected Inuyasha has been chasing after her!"

Kagome took her drink and violently sucked on the straw.

"Hmm." Reincarnation? So Inuyasha sees Kikyo in Kagome? Would he only love her because she's the  reincarnation of the old priestess?

You pushed the thoughts aside and finished what was left of your lunch. Kagome still angrily drinking her soft drink.

Returned to the feudal era Sesshomaru was there waiting. "Hello (Y/n)." You smiled weakly as a response. He furrowed his brow.

But walked with you in silence.

Kagome joined her friends, Sango watched you and Sesshomaru disappear into the forest. "She seems very relaxed with Sesshomaru." Sango said.

Kagome looked at the spot you two had previously been, "yeah she does."

Not long night came around, Rin and Jaken were sound asleep. You were laying against the puppy who slept like a log. But a chain of thoughts were rushing though your mind, keeping you awake.

One stood out more than the rest, a dangerous one you knew you should not venture into.

What was so painful in Sesshomaru's past?

A finger flicked your forehead, "ow!" You clutched the sure spot.

His deep voice mumbled, "sleep."

Of course he knew you were awake he never went to sleep before you. He rolled over those golden orbs of his glimmering in the dim moonlight.

You rolled over and stared directly at them before finally closing your eyes with a heavy breath.

"Good girl."
