Caspian wrung out a cloth and placed it on Aurora's forehead, there was a knock on the door and he wondered who would dare bother him.

"Come in."

The door opened and it was Nadia,

"I did not expect you, My Lady."

"You seem tired, and I feel forgotten and neglected."

"Not all seem to be what it is My Lady, as you know I am going on a hunting trip with your father so we can negotiate the date of our marriage."

Nadia smiled, "Well then I am pleased."

Caspian smiled, "So am I."

"What happened to her?"

"She got shot by an arrow during the hunting trip that we had gone to practice."

"Is there no physician to look after her, must you do it yourself."

"She did it to save my life, I would not be here if it weren't for her. I don't mind caring for her."

"She is your maid, technically her life does belong to you. So she did not do anything out of the ordinary."

Caspian knew that Nadia had a point but when Aurora had been shot he felt a part of him was also shot.

The thought of her being dead made him cold all over and he had to get her help. The night with the moon seemed as if it was light years ago.

"Very much so, but I want to be a king compassionate to his subjects."

"You can be compassionate to your subjects by getting her a physician, you shouldn't be burdening yourself like this sire."

"Thank you for your concern Nadia, it is refreshing at times like these but I am alright with doing this."

Nadia nodded, "You seem like you are in need of fresh air would you like to take a walk sire?"

Caspian did not want to leave Aurora but his future bride was more important, "Sure a breath of fresh air and your company would be much appreciated."

Nadia was pleased with his answer as they went out and took a walk down the trees. It was comforting and much of what Nadia said was a blur to him.

"My Lord!" one of the guards was huffing and puffing when they got to him,

"You may speak."

"Aurora is awake and is planning on leaving even though her injuries haven't healed and her body is very weak."

Caspian went with the guard as he ran back to the castle and when they got to his room he could see Aurora insisting she go home to rest.

"You can't leave yet Aurora."

Aurora seemed to be surprised to see him but she was also looking too weak,

"I feel fine My Lord, I do not want to be a burden to you any longer."

"Aurora you haven't healed, stop being stubborn and that's an order."

He saw that she contemplated his words but her eyes shut as she seemed to be lightheaded, he sat on the bed and leaned her head on his chest as he held her.

Nadia came in, "Is everything okay?" she asked Caspian.

"I'm afraid we will have to reschedule Nadia, I need to take care of her."

Nadia nodded stiffly, "You do what you need to do, I will let myself out."

"One of the guards will accompany you and I offer my sincerest apologies that I can't do it myself."

"Does she matter that much?"

"I believe in a life for a life."

"That's very noble and you have to make it up to me the next time I am here, after all, I am your fiancé."

Caspian smiled at her, "Of course, it will be perfection."

Nadia was escorted out and he looked at Aurora, it seemed that she was getting a bit better even though pale.

"Caspian."

Aurora called out and she did not know if she was hallucinating or not, she tried to sit up and groaned as sharp pain was shooting through her back.

Caspian sat up and he seemed a bit tired, she took her surroundings and realized that she was in his room.

"Easy as he put his hand lightly around her shoulder and she managed to sit up.

"How long have I been here for?"

"Two weeks."

"Two weeks!" she tried to rationalize, "Have I been here the whole time?"

"Yes, Aurora."

"My job? Oh, my soul what about my job?"

"You risked your life to save me, and you could have died, but you are worried about a mere job."

"It may be mere to you My Lord, but everything to me."

"To put your mind at ease, your Madam knows everything that happened and your job is intact."

Aurora's mind started to buzz, did all the maids know that she was in here?

"Does everyone know that I am here?"

"No Aurora, word is that you are in one of the wards, where you are receiving treatment."

"Why am I here then My Lord."

"I wanted to take care of you myself,"

"That is not necessary My Lord, I apologize My Lord."

"Apologize for what? Why do you treat your life as if it's not worth anything?"

Aurora's head lowered and she did not know what to say as he was becoming more and more frustrated with her.

A week passed and Aurora was back at her best, she was grateful for the medical care she had received.

She was dressed and went out, it was late at night, she went outside and her bicycle where she had left.

It felt weird for her to be standing, she got on it and made her way home. When she got into her room, it was cold but everything was the same as to how she had left it.

She took off her clothes slowly and put on her nightgown and went to bed.

The next morning she got up and got ready, careful not to hurt the wound on her back. She made her way to the palace, and got to the servant's quarters, and made her way to her friends.

She could hear the gossip from everyone as they speculated what had happened to her,

All her friends welcomed her with smiles,

"Aurora how are you feeling?" Ella asked.

"I feel so much better."

"We were so worried, we haven't seen you in a while." Lucy pouted.

"I know, I missed you all so much."

"What happened, the rumors are repent." Said Barbara.

"I went hunting as I was accommodation the prince, and he was about to be shot with an arrow and I covered him using my body."

"Aurora why would you do that? You could have died." Ida responded.

"If we let something happen to the prince we would all lose our lives, there is no point in coming back without the prince."

"True but that's unfair, everyone's life is important." Said Evelyn.

"Where were you taken care of?"

"Actually the prince himself nursed me with physicians."

Their eyes all widened, "he did what?"

"Exactly as I said, he was just grateful for what I did for him and that is all."

Aurora went to clean the room and went to her tree, it had been a while since she was there. She started to remember that magical night under the moon.

She had told her friends that she had done it for the prince but in all honesty, she did not want Caspian to get hurt.

She didn't even think and jumped in front of him, Aurora wanted to protect him.

"I can't believe my eyes is that a ghost?"

Aurora watched Elliot sits beside her,

"You look a bit tired."

"Thank you for pointing that out Elliot."

"I am glad you are alive and well, that day you truly surprised me, I thought you wouldn't survive Aurora."

She responded to him with the same response she had told her friends.

"That was brave of you."

"Thanks, Elliot."

"Feels wholesome now that you are back, and not as empty."

"Thanks, Elliot. How have things been with you?"

"The same, taming the horses and grooming them for this weekend."

"What happens this weekend?"

"Nadia's family is coming to finalize their wedding date."

Aurora's stomach dropped, she hoped she would not be the one serving them for the weekend.

After chatting some more with Elliot it was time for her to serve, tea.
